"My plans are all rather vague. If we had had more time we could have done something elaborate...but I think that any infiltration by us is doomed to failure. I can hope that they've realized this, in which case I expect they'll make a full on frontal assault. If they don't realize that they've utterly failed at stealth, then they'll attempt an infiltration. Which would be hopeless...There are quite a few floors open to the public, correct? What do you think about my chances of entering the building by the front door under the cover of their attack, and meeting up with them?" Edmond seriously hoped that a SIN would not be required to enter some of the less restricted floors of the building. Aztech owns the Stuffer Shacks, and those didn't need a SIN, so hopefully... "I don't suppose you have any advice on how to not suffer a gruesome fate in Aztech? And I've already resigned myself to going in, so backing out isn't an option..." He glanced out the windshield, and perked up in response to the flashes of light in the night sky. Lightning...the colors are familiar...Lexiel, and possibly Visrii? "Well, no doubt about it, they've begun an all out assault."

"I'm sorry to say it, but I don't think I can. Knowing them, 'major shit' will go down, and ten minutes would be too long." Edmond fidgeted. He'd have preferred to go for coffee, but it would be entirely wrong to ignore the people he knew were going to get themselves killed in order for himself to enjoy a moment of peace. "Perhaps if I'm still alive and not wanted when this is over? Unlikely, given the company, but this is my duty." One part that Edmond did not mention was a specific concern about Lexiel. Back at the club, there had been that unnerving moment when her appearance drastically shifted. He had felt exceedingly unnerved, but had consigned it to another shift in her costume. There was something else though...

Edmond answered the woman's questions, with complete honesty. He knew that he'd probably eitehr be dead or gone within a week, so if this was some elaborate attempt to gain info for malevolent purposes, which he sincerely doubted, it wouldn't really matter. "Coffee? That'd be great. I do have some qualms though...how close to the Arcology will this be?" Edmond was not unconcerned about his friends, and they had blundered enough no that he felt he needed the target at least within hearing distance, if not within sight. Coffee did sound good though. Of course normally he would have preferred tea, but real coffee was a luxury, and he would accept it gratefully.

Edmond smiled. "Thanks. I think I'll take you up on that offer." He settled back into the leather seat as the car sped off, watching the quiet streets go by, enjoying a brief moment of peace before the upcoming disaster. "To the Arcology then, I suppose."

Liliya-Servants' Quarters "Masaru eh? Where are you from?" The name sounded vaguely eastern to Liliya. Perhaps Japanese? She wasn't too knowledgable about the linguistics of names, but it made sense. "Weird that we all arrived at once when barely anyone's home..." In response to Masaru's last question, Liliya said, "Just wandering about I suppose, looking...were you talking to Mar? Sorry." "I'm curious too. What're you up to, Mar?"
-
Liliya-Servants' Quarters ((OOC: I presume that Masaru is in the servants' quarters, but being directed towards the noble quarters)) Turning to Andre, Liliya stated flatly, "You seem like you have this under control. Don't hit her when she wakes up, okay? Excuse me." With that, the woman left the room, and set off down the halls. She passed through them without much thought; her curiosity could be sated later. There were other people in the same boat as me, and maybe I can talk to Mar. She shuddered involuntarily. To someone from a world distinctly lacking in creatures like Mar, he was in fact slightly frightening. However, he seemed sane and intelligent. More than can be said of some people. Liliya rounded a corner, and caught sight of Mar and another man whom she had briefly seen earlier. "Hi Mar. And...?" Liliya then gestured awkwardly at the man in conversation with Mar. "I'm Liliya, by the way." She had decided that learning the names of the people she was expected to fight with might not be a poor idea. "You a vet? Or did you just get roped into this mess today?"

Liliya-Servants' Quarters "What would a heavy spar be like? And who would want one? Sounds more like a real brawl with possible casualties." Wouldn't one of this man's heavy spars be detrimental to their supposed mission? It sounded as though they could cause serious enough injury to prevent a person from being able to contribute. "How much pain can those potions fix, do you know?"

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

"That's...going to be very difficult to climb, you know that, right?" Shelly was a little surprised at the type of tree that had appeared--she had expected something less...tropical--but she was intrigued all the same. How it had gotten here was still a pressing question, though it seemed like it might be tied to the cadets' own arrival. She stepped over to the trunk as Kai began her ascent, peering up into the lofty top. Shelly then braced herself, hoping to catch Kai when she inevitably fell. -
Liliya-Servants' Quarters Liliya had followed Andre after he had dispatched the woman. She was unnerved by the brutality of this so-called spar, and while not keen to admit it, a little worried about the woman. Arthita? Andre seemed to be interested in reviving her, but when Liliya entered the room, she saw him administering a strange draft to him. "...what the hell are you giving her!?"

[IC] Lowlife Chapter 0.9: A heated discussion
Strider replied to Yours Truly's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Come now. Let's go!" Darien was eager to begin scoping out 51st street for the woman with the 'kaatars'. It probably wouldn't be as simple as just going up to her, draggin her into and ally and shooting her a bunch, but Darien hoped it wouldn't be too difficult. With his heart set on killing a woman for money, he stood up, and waited for the others to do so, before exiting the cafe. -
"Who's Lucy? And, may I at least keep the violin?" Edmond steeled himself, as the man approached with the tazer. As the excruciating pain jumped through him, Edmond fell to the ground twitching. Gaaahh. This is--not--what--I ho--ped-- for! They know about the shotgun... He felt a little desperate as he was handcuffed and carried out of the club. Guess I can't help with the clean-up then... But then, at the few words from the detective, he felt a new spring of hope. A conversation with the councilor If he played his hand correctly, this might actually turn out for the best. "Glad to hear it," he murmured.

"Alright." He smiled, set down the violin and case, and raised his hands above his head in clear surrender. Then he frowned. "Wait a moment. How was I aiding and abetting them? I blew their cover for you, and simply stood back so that I wouldn't be shot full of holes when you opened fire in the middle of a public nightclub. You can't blame me for hanging back from clearly insane criminals who tried to kill the councilor." This was a gamble, but he was fairly certain from what he had read in the Neo-Anarchist's handbook, that Knights Errant was affiliated with Ares. "A final question. They obviously had a coordinated escape which, had I been involved, could have easily included me. I know it seems somewhat cliche, but why would I still be here if I was guilty of what you say I am?" How much info to actually give though? "I picked up a bit more info before you showed up and tried to arrest them. It's not for public ears though. You can check for yourselves that that room is empty, and we can discuss it in there." He pointed to the back room which he had been planning to drop his stuff in. "I suppose I could just whisper it though..." It was here that Edmond started, though he tried to keep his movements minimal to prevent being shot. "Four people? Wait...there was the seemingly blind woman, the one who shot you, the insane one, and...? Who was the fourth person?"

Liliya "This isn't a beach. Deserts are their own thing, goddamnit! Can I trust anything you've said so far?" How could one place faith in a man who couldn't tell that there wasn't an ocean outside the castle? The only reason that she wasn't running off to the town in the distance to find some sane people was because of the seemingly intelligent creature that had claimed he spent most of the time in the smithy. "You two had better put on a good show," she grumbled.

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

"Shhh! You don't have to be so loud. They can still hear you. Anyway, I'm sorry for asking so many questions. If you'll take us to the tree that sprouted in the house, we can show you what a leaf is." Shelly's main questions now consisted of whether there had been a time that this 'father' hadn't come, how the girl managed to measure years, and what the father's first visit had been like. But that would be overwhelming to an already overwhelmed girl who had never met any people except her father and sister, and those only once a year. -
"They survived somehow. That's good, I guess." Edmond sighed as he watched his friends depart once more. This bit was partly his fault, he supposed, as he hadn't been observant enough about Lexiel's actions. He addressed the shotgun: "Quite the skilled group we are. Do you have a name, by the way?" Edmond waved to the barkeeper as he passed. "If you'd like, I can help clean up some of this mess in a moment." First however, he made his way to the back room in search of a place to stach his stuff, and tried to open the door.

Liliya "Huh. Quite arrogant, eh? I'm down for a spar at some point. Not now thought. I'm feeling a little off what with the whole flipping universes thing that you claim. You wouldn't want a fight unless I was at the top of my game, right?" Liliya glanced around. She had been told that they were in a traveling castle. Certainly a castle from what I can see. Don't know about the whole moving thing... "So what other parts to this castle are there? What sort of amenities? Who owns it?"
-
Liliya "I'll watch. I'm not really interested in fighting at the moment." Andre appeared to have no more information to give, so there would be no reason not to sit down and watch him spar. She stretched, and sat down against the base of a wall. "Want me to be a referee of some type?" she asked in a bored manner.
-
"Oh my." Well, stealth's out the window again. "You're blind? I'm terribly sorry about that! Don't wait for me. I'll be following up in a bit." Edmond did not hurry out of the building like the others. He figured that, what with his face not being widely associated with terrorists, it would seem less guilty to remain in the building. He made his way towards the back room, since even if he had to run, he still needed to stash the violin. "Hey demon. I just realized I don't know your name. Not important at the moment though. These are Knight Errant, part of Ares, right? Is the councilor by any chance with Ares too?" If Edmond recieves a response in the affirmative, he will send of a quick text saying: "The lunatics are going to try to take down Aztech. Might be good to let them live for the laughs, arrest them if they survive. If they succeed, that will be good for you."

Edmond relaxed a bit as Izumi intervened. "She's right. We have a mission. Would you mind walking with me for just a moment? I'd like to put this thing away." Edmond quickly asked the woman for a moment to speak with Lexiel, and then, holding up the violin and case, wove his way to the door to the back room. He hoped that a moment or so away might calm the angel. "You'll be happy to know that I've been in contact with the councilor. I'm trying to figure out what happened, since we don't know what the provocation was, maybe even gain him as an ally, at least for me. I'd have to make sure not to be seen with you, and I assure you, i don't plan on betraying him if this works..." Edmond held out the phone for Lexiel to see, sending of a text saying: "Got a little more info. Sounds like this was a spur of the moment thing. Not really planned. I think someone got caught up in emotions over the election, and decided to kill you, spur of the moment. Otherwise, why would they actually take a SIN?" Turning back to Lexiel, Edmond continued. "As you can see, I'm trying to be as helpful to him as possible without compromising the mission. In any case, I take it you were not privy to the details of Halley's attack, and simply got caught up in the escape? What happened from your point of view?"

Liliya "I don't know about that. What can you do? That woman can conjure explosions, I have my own talents, and this girl, well she seems quite good at appearing in midair and hitting the ground... Sorry. I suppose you have a gift too?" Liliya tried to lighten her tone. It would do no good to begin hostilities with someone in the exact same situation as her.
-
Liliya "You forgot to mention that we don't know where he pulled that burger from. It's a burger by the way, meat on bread basically." She addressed Andre: "If you have nothing else, could you direct us to someone who knows something? Thanks." She glanced past him, but the two other people in the room hadn't seemed eager to volunteer information. Additionally, Liliya was somewhat disturbed by the one woman's ability to conjure explosions.
-
Liliya "Not the afterlife. I don't know about you, but I ain't dead. No clue where we are, but this man, 'Andre', seems to think we're here for some kind of mission. Kill monsters or something." Liliya, though her appearance may have seemed to indicate complete bewilderment and disbelief, was in fact not terribly surprised. She had been expecting something of this sort since the change. The only problem was that none of the people here seemed to be the ones in charge. Turning back to the greeter, she asked, "Anything else you could tell us? Who brought us here? How we were chosen? Or do you just not know anything more?"
-
"Um. Yes. About that. Whose idea was it to try to murder the councilor? And...why?" Edmond wasn't certain whether to reveal that the councilor still lived. Will they try to get him again? I suppose they'll find out all the same. "The councilor lives, by the way, but I should hope that you won't try to seek him out and finish the job? At least until the mission is over?" Edmond sighed. He'd been on a few infiltration missions before, and, though they weren't his specialty, he knew that this was not how they were supposed to go. "Yes, my night was less exciting, though I might say only marginally so. Let's see...I visited a Stuffer Shack to pick up some mundane stuff, Theo and I went to a place called the lodge to pick up a demon-possessed shotgun, we saved a woman from a fire, and got some rest. We parted ways this morning. Since then, I helped the demon pick up this violin--rather out of tune--and found that Visrii was locked in the same demon's apartment." Edmond held up the violin. "Do we still have that back room? I'd like to keep this there so that I don't have to cart it around with me."
