((OOC: Lexiel and Edmond are now in the Servants' Quarters, though you probably won't see them immediately since they landed in a room.)) Edmond pulled himself up with a small groan. Around him was an already familiar set of stone walls, containing some broken furniture. "We're back in the castle...? Servants' quarters, I think..." He trailed off, realizing that he was speaking to himself. But...no, wait. There was Lexiel, in a pile of dragon...debris. She should be fine; I doubt that a rough landing would inconvenience an angel overmuch. In any case, Edmond felt that there was little danger anymore, reached up to the side of his head, and removed the helmet of his suit. With the assumption that Lexiel would be alright, and that she would be up in a moment, Edmond peeked out into the hall, and went on until he heard voices speaking. Most were unfamiliar, but there was the Orc's--Mar's voice...and Marisa's voice was also apparent. Edmond immediately wheeled about, and headed back to the room where Lexiel was, and spoke: "Lexiel...you probably shouldn't go out there for now. You remember me mentioning Marisa? Well she's out there right now, and while I doubt you would try to make a scene, who knows who things might end up? Please don't take it personally... Actually though, back before Seattle, she told me that she would be showing up on occasion to help out.. which means that we should probably have you two settle your differences--or at least put them aside for now--sooner rather than later. It might help prevent some unnecessary conflict." Edmond brought his gauntleted hand up to his chin, clearly pondering what should be done. "No matter what, I believe that I should...warn, for lack of a better word, her ahead of time, before you two talk. It would give her some time to prepare, right? Does that seem reasonable? You could wait here for a minute or two, or even wait around the corner from where they're speaking..." Edmond watched Lexiel anxiously, waiting for her response. From what he knew, he was slightly less worried about her than Marisa in settling this argument. Lexiel seemed to have a sort of condescending attitude towards Marisa rather than hatred, which, while troublesome, was easily dealt with. Marisa on the other hand felt she had been personally wronged, seemed even...well, not quite afraid, but definitely a little more anxious about the Ravnican cops.

Oh, well that's certainly lovely. Hmm, it grows by digesting the material it contacts, some sort of nanomachines, I suppose. How can it digest metal in order to create a fleshy appearance!? Certainly worth investigation... For now though, Edmond pulled out a small vial that he had purchased in Hollow Bastion, and stuffed the skin piece into it. A sudden detonation turned Edmond's head, and he saw Visrii crash into a wall. There was a great strain on him, and Edmond was astonished to see him continue dueling for another minute. But as soon as Visrii's movements slowed, and his limbs slumped, it was obvious that he could do nothing more. Edmond launched himself over to Visrii (after Visrii got shot), and scooped him up, following whichever person seemed to have an escape plan. (Either follow Lexiel with her dragon, or go up the odd new elevator shaft.) Also, was Deus going to blow this place up soon?

The battle was, in essence, already won. When the enemy begins to panic, only the most foolish could possibly lose. There were, of course, occasional traps of this sort, but they usually involved baiting an opponent into overextending. No real reason to wait around here, right? We destroyed the book, and killed that weird creature...Hmm, I suppose it might be a good idea to collect some samples...have some other people take a look at them back on the castle? Thinking this, Edmond Glanced over at the two things he was most curious about: the skin, and the ashes of the book. His eyes darted back and forth between their positions, and as soon as most of the guards had begun to panic, he ignited the thrusters in his boots, and shot across the room. As he flew, he lay down a barrage of cover fire from the rifle he carried. He hit two, both nonlethally, and on those whom he had not hit, he instilled more panic. Upon arriving near Lexiel's position, he ducked behind an overturned table, and snatched the piece of regenerating skin. One more flight across the room, and he grabbed a handful of the book ashes, and stuffed them into a pouch on his backpack. They would be dealt with later. "I'm ready to leave. We don't have to kill them all, so come on! Lexiel, you got them in with a dragon or something, correct? We need a way up the elevator shaft to the first floor, and then we can head out the main entrance."

"One down. We'll be out of here soon, I hope." Edmond, seeing the man with the afro fall, turned his attentions towards one of the shield guards. Weld on Shield Guard B. (2d6 + 10) and adds 3d6+10 to next instance of damage against him.

Liliya Not really in the mood to try something entirely unknown, Liliya ordered a cow steak, along with a side of fries. She made her way over to the table where a few of the others were sitting with their meals, and began to eat, listening to the conversation swirling about. She also listened to the bees swirling about apparently.

Liliya At the rather pleasant revelation that the discount applied to vending machines too, Liliya pocketed the Zenny, planning to return them later. The machine had no display window, or really any instructions whatsoever. Odd. Disturbing even. She held her hand out to the number pad, concentrating on a specific combination, looking into the future of that action. That result was boring, that one was unusual and disturbing...boring, boring, gross, positively dangerous...and oh. "Now that's interesting..." After finishing her small vision, Liliya typed in the code corresponding to what seemed to be a small candy "Make your own robot" kit. It looked fun, and could be of interest to the magic or mechanics folks. She purchased two more of the packages (if she could) and a "Reverse Temperature Creampuff", and then got in line to the cashiers to buy something from the main area.

Liliya "Huh. Not so useful anymore," she muttered, staring down at the voucher. It was free food of course, but it seemed unlikely that she would not be satisfied with the free food that had already been offered. Maybe there was a fridge or something in the castle to store food in? She made her way over to the castle, waving to Mar as she passed, and entered, heading to the smithy. After a few seconds of scanning, she came across what she was looking for: a pile of coins, Zenny. She took 100 from the shelf, and began the walk back out of the castle and towards the main body of the restaurant.

Liliya In the parking lot, Liliya picked up the pice of rebar she had dragged over from the dumpster before, and tossed it into the hopper for the voucher generator. She set the image of herself turning the crank in her mind, moving forward, to see whether problems would arise. Assuming she sees nothing amiss, she turns the crank of the presumably repaired voucher generator.

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
Strider replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Oh, sorry, I wasn't sure...since you said something earlier about being an officer, and helping out with criminal needs? But yeah, ice cream is always good, but this stuff is definitely on its own level. The croaker recipe is kind of confusing to me. Who decided that detoxified would be a good thing to add to their frozen desert? I mean, I expect it's good, or you wouldn't be serving it, but it seems like a weird thing to discover." She paused, and took a bite of ice cream, grinning. "I don't want to steal trade secrets, but could you tell me a bit more about which pokemon help you with the ice cream, and how they each help?" -
Liliya "Thanks, give me a moment." Liliya had noticed some collection of items in Engine Room of the Castle. It was a collaborative inventory right? She went down the stairs, into parking lot, and... saw the small weird creature finish doing something to the generator and walk away. Maintenance perhaps?

"Could you tell me what currency does the vending machine take?" Liliya addressed one of the cat cashiers, after picking up the silk coat and the odd (sardonyx) ring that had been deposited by the dead skeleton thing.

Liliya ((darn battles starting while I'm asleep...)) "We're fighting a moronic rapping skeleton. Who would have thought." After a second of pause, determining that entering the fight would not on its own mean her death, Liliya dashed in, to give a quick slash with her hellfire wreathed knife at the skeleton. Liliya uses a basic attack: 3d6+DEX damage with a DEX% chance to crit. (DEX=10)

Liliya "We stopped here for a reason, so there's got to be a way for us to pay." Muttering under her breath, Liliya glanced around searching for any employee type folk who may be wandering around. If there is no one to be found, she then gets into line to wait and inquire about the currency type which the machine will accept.

Liliya Liliya addressed Masaru. "Okay. I don't think smacking it's going to fix the problem." She followed up the stairs into the main body of the restaurant. The appearance was weird, unsettling. And on the subject of unsettling, there was the skeleton who had either cloned himself, or had some identical twins. Preferring to avoid the angry skeletons, Liliya moved to the vending machine, and began to inspect it, searching for an obvious way to extract food from it.

Liliya "Hmm? You can detect magic?" Liliya frowned at the machine, pondering. "Is this thing giving off any magic aura or whatever?" Perhaps he could diagnose the problem if there were any magical anomalies in the machine. Wait a moment. Did the man on the motorbike just fall face first on the ground, brush off assistance, and then wander off towards their castle? Hopefully there were some people, (perhaps Mar?) who would know to keep intruders out? "Well, I suppose if this blasted thing won't work, we could try to sweet talk our way into some food..."

Liliya "Uh... I don't think that was my fault..." She picked up the metal ribbon, and stuck it in her pocket after it had cooled. Might be useful to someone...In a slightly hesitant manner, she circled the machine, looking for anything that could obviously be seen as broken from the outside. "I was really hoping to get a voucher for some food."

Liliya "Well, let's see now." She grabbed some of the garbage, preferably nothing disgusting, and the pieces of rebar, and dragged them back (if she could) to the hopper. She set down the rebar, and placed some of the garbage in the hopper. "God, I hope this doesn't break it. It's their own damn fault if it does though, not giving instructions." She turned the crank a few times to see what would happen. "Oh, hey Masaru. Not sure what's going on. There's this machine here, which appears to take stuff in and generate vouchers, but I have no idea what to put in it or what the vouchers are for. Based on my world, I'd guess that this is some sort of interplanetary rest stop or something. Parking garage for vehicles, food, a bit of grime... A way station of sorts, maybe."

Liliya "Oh? Weird." The instructions seemed to have long since been scratched away. Liliya glanced around, looking to see if there was anything around the parking lot. Parking garages are not usually the cleanest. She though perhaps she could find something, and drop it in the grinder to see what happened. No point in recklessly throwing something valuable in, after all. So, she began to wander about the nearby area, searching for anything that might be of interest.

Liliya Liliya hadn't payed the man much attention as he fell. Probably isn't even human. How could she know what his habits were, or what actions of his--she didn't realize that she was assuming he for a possible alien to which that pronoun might not in any way be applicable--might signal a lack of personal wellbeing. With a careful movement, Liliya reached out towards the hand crank. To another, it might seem like she was waiting for something to stop her. Something which never came. Once she had assured herself of the safety of the endeavor, she turned the crank a few times to see what would happen, peering into the hopper to see whether anything was ejected.

Liliya They had stopped. Were they at their destination? With slightly shaking hands--the utter absurdity of her situation had dawned on her again when she woke up--she had pushed her way out into a huge parking lot. The fact that this castle could easily fit in alongside far larger vehicles was a testament to the magnitude of this place. Only after taking a few steps out of the castle did Liliya recognize the recklessness of her action. Even though it was quite obvious that she could breath, she experienced a moment of instinctual panic, coupled with a slight hitch in her breathing. "No reason not to explore a little." She set of at a measured pace towards the machine labeled a "Voucher Generator". It was a reasonable first destination, and the smell of food, surprisingly familiar, indicated that maybe they were food vouchers. When she arrived, she inspected the machine from all directions, looking for indication of its function and methods of proper use.

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
Strider replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Shelly flinched slightly at Kai's pats, though after the first she simply blinked a couple times, thoroughly confused. When Officer Jenny approached, Shelly responded thoughtfully, "Oh? Sort of. There was some chaos at our graduation ceremony, and we were immediately sent into the field to an unexplored Nexus. The mission went fine, and there were quite a few unusual surprises...Though I don't know what the classification status is on those. I suppose buying ice cream was both for celebration and stress relief." She licked a small bit of ice cream off her spoon. "It's very good, the ice cream...If you don't mind, you're an officer of the law, right? How'd you come to be in charge of an ice cream shop? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but it seems like quite the interesting career switch? Or combination of careers?" Shelly took another bite of ice cream, waiting for the officer's response. "Do you get to sample ice cream occasionally? That would be a nice perk..." -

"Passing out from sugar overload!? I'm...uh...no. I don't want to do that." Shelly stared agape at Kai, for a moment, believing the blond girl to be a stranger phenomenon than Zeta. Shelly was brought back to reality by Jenny's recommendation. "I'll take on of those, thank you!" Shelly payed for her treat, and made her way over where the rest of her group was sitting. She thought for a moment, then pulled out the pokeball, and released Axew in a burst of light. It would be cruel to keep her out of the fun.
