    "Thanks." Emmanuel ran left, motioning for Kalva and Sena to follow.

    "Poochy... " Emmanuel turned back to Poochy. He shed a tear, but he wiped it quickly. He then stepped forward and took back the coat from the pooch. He took out the tooth from the pockets and gave it to Poochy. "I just need you to find Meggie with this. Help me out, will ya?" He followed Poochy as she sniffed for Meggie.

    Halley grumbled and scrolled through the numbers list on the commlink, eventually finding the number titled "Boss". "-Alright, name's Halley. I have the money down here and your guards are blocking me out. Can you put the two on the commlink so I can prove to the guards that I'm not lying?" She then held the commlink toward the guards.

    Oh, I see. You're THOSE kind of people. Halley sighed and flashed her credstick. "I'm talking about this. Nearly 20000 Nuyens. If those two were on the right track, I'll be trading with the blondie." "If you want bribes, you can either take two kicks, blind eyes, or whatever remains from the bargain." She said with a stern face.

    Aztechnology... Halley put the business card into one of the jacket's pockets. Realizing that both Visrii and Lexiel didn't seem to be returning anytime soon, she decided to check them out. "I'm with the two that just passed," She said, "I have something they'll need right now, so may I pass and deliver it?"

    "Ah-" Emmanuel caught the note. He turned his head to the crying girl and her Murkrow. He knelt down and hugged Poochy tightly, comforting her. "There, there... " He knew that there was nothing he could say to comfort the girl. He took a glimpse at the note. tracking meggie. sorry for making her angry He quickly turned around, only to find that Kalva had already hit the road. He sighed quietly and left it on the ground, near the girl. A broken piece of tooth was left before Emmanuel. He picked it up and recognized it as that of a Gabite's. The tooth reeked of Meggie's smell and a hint of blood, perhaps from the wound she had sustained from confusion. He quietly slipped the tooth into his coat pocket, hidden away from the girl's sight. Maybe Poochy can track down Meggie... but I can't put anymore work on the poor pup. Staying here is no good, either... Emmanuel put down his coat and had it cover Poochy. "It's up to you whether you want to, buddy." Somewhat dispirited, he gave chase to the mute boy. He wasn't sure what he would accomplish on his own, but he felt like it was his responsibility, to finish what he had started. He grabbed a broken branch from Meggie's path of destruction, one meter in length, and ran.

    "Hm... She went north from here." Halley answered. "If I come across these two in the future, is there a way for me to communicate with you?"

    "I don't recall seeing these two..." Halley thought for a second. Her eyes were focused on the woman in the picture. "I saw a flying woman on my way here, shouting something about explosions. I wasn't sure what gadget she was using to fly at 50 miles per hour. Could that cape be it?"

    Halley put on the jacket swiftly. It reeked of the distinct smell that came with new clothes. She turned to the Austrian man and said "What's wrong, big guy?" Her voice was slightly muffled by the helmet.

    "It is... confused?" Emmanuel ran closer to the frenzied Gabite, but the girl with a Murkrow immediately caught his eyes. Hm... the Murkrow must have used Confuse Ray. The girl must be trying to pacify it. How can I help... He looked back to the Gabite, suffering from confusion. "Poochy, cover the Gabite with Sand Attack!" With a bit of hesitation out of fear, Poochy kicked up specks of dirt with her hind legs, covering the Gabite's body with a thin layer of dirt. The specific heat of dirt is quite low. I can use it to sap the excessive energy!

    Halley picked navy blue for the color and biker for the style. She put on the helmet as she waited for the jacket to arrive. She noticed Lexiel chasing after the blonde guy, but she decided to let her handle it.

    RETCONNING - - - Halley took the credstick with 20000 Nuyens with her when she left. (Permission to retcon was given) Grumpy guy... Halley continued reading the catalog. In a few seconds, she made up her mind and picked Armanté Venetian Armor Jacket and Victory Rapid Transit Helmet, costing 650 Nuyen in total. She took out the 20000 Nuyen credstick. The market price for the SIN is just 10000. We can have the rest for ourselves, right? She came before the shopkeeper and asked for the items, placing the credstick on the counter.

    Halley walked closer to the arguing man, eavesdropping on what he was arguing about. In meantime, she checked the closest armor storefront from afar or grab a catalog from the counter, if there even was one.

    "Carbink's known for its durability. We can use it to protect us. Gabite is not known for its defenses, but rather its offenses. Like a Rock against Scissors, we can whittle it down with ease!" Emmanuel said.

    "G-Gabite!" Emmanuel looked back to Poochy, who was filled with fear. "It must be the predator. We can't run away from the threat anymore." "That Carbink... we may have a chance!" Emmanuel motioned for the group to go toward the path that lead directly to the Gabite. He ran toward it, picking up fallen branches if possible.

    Halley followed Lexiel into Weapon's World, acting like a regular in the place. She'd look for any personnel that looked like they were waiting.

    "My observations. I figured that the HQ should get a better idea on the qualities of the nexus, so they could find a way to help us more easily." Emmanuel answered. "Who knows if they'll reply, though." He gazed upon the blue moon for a few seconds. An unknown territory on top of another... a shame that he couldn't reach it then. He set his eyes back on the pompous doofus, somewhat amused by his speech pattern.

    "Whatever you say, Radovan." Emmanuel kept walking. He unmuted the A-Comm again. The lack of new messages suggested that no attempts on re-connection were made by the HQ. Out of curiosity, he tried to send a message to the HQ as he moved. Emmanuel here, reporting the qualities of the uncharted Nexus. The planet's made of dense crystalline matters, which form the trees and the ground. They've proven themselves to be very durable, as fallen branches are rare here. The crystals also possess healing qualities, capable of treating Pokemon wounds. They also contain energy which spreads into the air as heat. The ecosystem's strange, to say the least. With the lack of green grass and other basic plants, the bottom of the food pyramid would have to consume something else, most likely crystals. My personal guess is that there may be a sizable populace of Sableye, which are known for their mineral diet. Another reasonable theory would be that the wildlife here has evolved to tolerate crystals as food sources. The nexus also possesses a blue moon. It could be a new astral body, rather than a mere projection/simulation. Though, that would imply the existence of a second sun within this very nexus, or the moon's ability to glow on its own. Further research is needed. He reviewed it quickly, and finally sent the message when he was content.

    Emmanuel nodded, and headed down the right path. He couldn't help but wonder who or what got into Patrat's territory, but he had to put the curiosity aside, for meeting up was a much safer plan.

    "The crystalline matter seems to possess healing qualities... this is just getting better!" Emmanuel said, joyfully. "I'll call you Poochy, little guy." He smiled at Poochy, as he walked down the path. The path split. From the left, a huge uproar echoed. The cries were unmistakable. "Patrat!" He exclaimed with a mixed fear. "Stepping into Patrat's territory is the worst thing one could do. Whoever made the mistake, we have to hope that they get out of there as soon as possible." Emmanuel stepped away from the left path. He was about to head down the right one, but then he heard: "Kai? Well... what do you think, guys? Go left and help out the doofuses got themselves in a pickle, or go right and meet up with Kai?" He asked Sena and Radovan.

    "Sure. I'll keep that in mind." Halley nodded. She left for Weapon's World, as there wasn't much else to do with everyone reaching a consensus of preparing first. She exited the bar and figured out her way there through referring to the patterns of the street names.

    "I'll carry it." Emmanuel got closer to the Poochyena and grabbed it by the body with his arms, careful not to squeeze the hind legs. The fur was warm, although it reeked of a light smell of dogs. "Man, you are dirty," He joked lightheartedly with a smile. "let's go." He carried the Poochyena back to the main path and moved on.
