  1. "I'm picking up some radio frequencies. We're being watched, and it's not just the satellites." Halley whispered. She stopped on her tracks, and pinned down the signals emitted by the streaming devices nearby. The urge to just fire away at the sources was strong, but she decided to heed Visrii's recent advice. She began walking toward the nearest signal source.
  2. Emmanuel was about to walk out of the spring, but a thought hit him. He hit the bag function of his A-Comm and dived it into the water. Bubbles came out of the surface, indicating that the A-Comm was taking in water. He took the A-Comm out and split the water data into three smaller pieces. "HQ, Emmanuel here. I'm going to send a sample of the water that I just found in the unknown Nexus. 100 mL in volume." Hm, might as well as send some to the other group. He scrolled through the phone numbers in his A-Comm, eventually deciding to send it to Kai. "Kai, I'm sending you some water from this Nexus. It poured out from this weird stone structure. Can you ask the girl if she knows anything about it?"
  3. Halley managed to halt the flares. "Thought you guys got lost or something. Guess not." She nodded, before continuing their escape.
  4. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7challengecup1v1-83336 It was against Clarice but winning with Struggle is 10/10
  5. Halley slowed down her steps. "They haven't caught up... Do they want to run or not?" She looked around, but there wasn't a soul to be seen. "Well then..." She aimed her Comet Blaster upwards, and fired a storm of small flares. "I just have to do this a few times and the others will eventually catch up with me." She charged again as she kept on running.
  6. "Sorry, gotta bounce!" Halley unwrapped the ribbons around her waist and whirled them rapidly, parrying the dispersed bullets as she ran deeper into the alleyways, away from the machinegun's line of fire. She scrambled through the alleyways, toward the direction of the Psychedelic Pirates.
  7. "Good job, guys!" Emmanuel gave a thumbs up to the team, specifically toward Poochy. He dragged the female Beedrill out of the mud. "We could take a Beedrill with us. They weigh about 30 kilograms, so it's like giving an 8 year old a piggyback ride." He looked around the well. The beady eyes of Kakuna still hung from the branches. "Looks like we're lucky. They're not evolving yet." He said, with a tone of relief. "Let's get back to the crystal woods. We can patch Meggie up with the fallen branches on the way." Emmanuel took a picture of the stone structure sitting in the middle of the swamp, and led the way back.
  8. "Down here, everyone! We can leave through the alleyways!" Halley shouted, before sliding down the fire escape. She charged up her blaster again as she waited for the rest of the group to catch up.
  9. "Your boss wasn't a good guy to begin with, anyways. Not sure how many grands he paid to get men with loyalty of such degrees, but people like you- " Halley quickly shot the machinegun mid-sentence, causing an explosion that obscured the vision between the two sides. "could be so much more than underlings for guys like him, ya know?" She immediately hopped down the fire escape.
  10. "Satellites? Why would that make you-" Halley cut herself off, as she looked into the streets below. Specifically, the storefront shelves of a TV store. She was on the news already. "Guys, whatever you do... don't look up." She alerted the group. It was impossible to escape, with the eyes from above watching them. "Surveillance satellites. They'll track us down to hell and beyond." She cautiously observed Lexiel quarantining the bomb.
  11. "Finally!" Halley smirked, and fired away at the Austrian man. The energy blast flared up just before it collided, bursting into rays of light. "Payback!" Action: Basic Attack (Splendid Star)
  12. Meggie's Flare of Life flew before Emmanuel, catching him by surprise. "... Thanks." He grabbed his coat again, drenched by the mud. "Poochy, finish the Beedrill off with one more Tackle!" Poochy slammed into the same Beedrill once again with another powerful Tackle, slugging it down into the mud. As for Emmanuel himself, he jumped onto the Beedrill again, trying to stick its stings into the mud and pacify it.
  13. "Rude!" Halley crawled up from the ground and attempted to Supercharge again. She was rather impressed by the jacket's durability.
  14. "Wait... " Halley recalled the picture shown to her from minutes ago. "you two were looking for the same people!" She turned around, noticing Visrii and Lexiel's entrance. "Oh! You were looking for US." She laughed, before continuing her Supercharge. "That bomb doesn't look good. What's it for, big guy?" Action: Supercharge (2x damage + 1 turn Blind for the next attack involving Comet Blaster)
  15. "Well, truth to be told... " Halley retracted her right hand and revealed her Comet Blaster. "I have my laws." She pointed the blaster against the blondie and opened fire. The accumulated charge from awhile ago was finally let loose, sending a sparkling energy blast at the blondie's chest. Even if the blast didn't kill him on the spot, his eyes would be blinded for several hours. She took the credstick back in the chaos and fired a barrage of energy blasts, making sure he was dead. "JUSTICE SERVED!" Halley declared with satisfaction. She immediately ran out of the room and blasted the top of the elevator wide open. She jumped and climbed along the shaft, finally reaching the rooftop. She severed the elevator cables with a few more blasts. She charged up her Comet Blaster again as she scanned the view, mapping out a possible escape route should the police force of the world decided to arrest her, mainly, possible routes back to the bar.
  16. "... So be it." Emmanuel quickly turned around. "Poochy, Tackle the female one!" Poochy nodded, and flung herself at the female Beedrill. He ran toward the male Beedrill and tossed his coat at him. He then attempted to hold down the male Beedrill by wrapping the coat around him. "Sena, get the branch to Meggie!" Poochy uses Tackle against Beedrill #1 for 80 Attack Power.
  17. Hey now, the goal of creating a Mega Pokemon isn't to make it broken beyond belief. That Machamp is the definition of broken. Cutting 55 points from SpA is ridiculous, too. Mega Beedrill only had a 30 SpA loss, for reference. Anyways, to celebrate the thread's newfound activity... Mega Crabominable Type: Fighting / Ice Ability: Contrary HP: 97 Atk: 132 -> 162 (+30) Def: 77 -> 107 (+30) SpA: 62 -> 52 (-10) SpD: 67 -> 97 (+30) Spe: 43 -> 63 (+20) The Lanakila yeti is back and ready to take on the world! With Contrary allowing it to abuse Close Combat, Superpower AND Ice Hammer, you'll have a hard time taking out this monstrosity! An improved bulk and speed allows it to further capitalize on the boosts that it can get from Contrary. Wayward Hermit (All-Out Offensive) Unsurmontable Peak (Wall)
  18. The stone pillar caught Emmanuel's attention. He only took mental notes of the structure, however, as Meggie was more of a concern. "Meggie, CATCH!" Emmanuel shouted, tossing the glowing branch like a javelin. The branch sank into the loamy soil firmly, right next to Meggie. He ran to the spot where the branch landed. "We had some misunderstandings, but we can start over, right?" He asked. "We're getting you back home. Let's go!" He gestured for her to follow him back to the path where they came from, away from the Beedrill nest. Knowing that Dark is weak to Bug, he wanted to avoid further confrontation with the Beedrill, keeping Poochy safe.
  19. Halley glared at Visrii for a second, then turned back to the man. "At first glance, you recognized us as greenhorns. You could've turned us down right away, but I know what you're going for. You know we're desperate, and we wouldn't have a single clue on where else to buy another SIN. So, you decided to take the opportunity and rip us off. You're not daft; you're nasty." She said, putting the credstick on the table. "Take it. Such is the law of this world, huh?"
  20. "Hey, the market price for a SIN is ten thousand nuyen. There better be a reason why you're charging us 50% more." Halley argued, feeling like the blondie was trying to rip them off.
  21. @pyrromanis Defensive Staraptor's not a good choice, as it is absolutely useless against Mono-Steel and Rock. Stealth Rock isn't the biggest issue for me, as my team is capable of taking out most Stealth Rock setters, and punish other more passive Stealth Rock setters with Porygon-Z or Linoone setting up against them. Swellow's a possible choice, though. However, there are several problems that Swellow faces. One of them being a crappy bulk that lets it get obliterated by priority moves. It also doesn't have the oomph that allows it to OHKO Mega Metagross and other Steel-types that aren't 4x weak to Steel, unlike Pyroar. So, I'll stick to using Pyroar over Swellow.
  22. "Yeah. It's nice to see actual grass again." Emmanuel gazed upon the trees lined along the trail, hundreds of pairs of beady eyes pierced through the viridian leaves. "Looks like we just walked into a Beedrill nest. If we're unlucky, the Kakuna may be evolving soon, so let's hurry. I don't want to be on the receiving end of a Beedrill's Twineedle, and I'm sure Meggie wouldn't, either." He hurried his steps, approaching the end of the path.
  23. The Irregulars -AT A GLANCE- This team uses Staraptor to counter Fighting-monos, Pyroar to counter Steel-monos, while the rest takes on neutral matchups and Ghost-monos. Linoone and Porygon-Z in particular are often wincons against neutral matchups. Ditto abuses Imposter to counter Hyper-Offensive monos such as Dragon and Fighting, and can still be useful for mindgames, eating up Leech Seeds and/or Toxic by borrowing the opponent's types. Chansey is there to give its teammates a lot more breathing space. It is often used to give Linoone and Porygon-Z the opportunity to set up. -TEAMBUILDING PROCESS- I wanted a Normal-type that can act beyond the regulations of Monotype, that is, you must be at least part Normal-type. The other option was Kecleon, and that thing doesn't pack quite the sweeping ability Porygon-Z possessed. I went with the Electric-type Z-Conversion set, because Yellow Magic is depressingly crippling and I hated it. Then I thought, "Speaking of sweepers, how about Linoone?" With Figy Berry (and its relatives) buffed, I can abuse Gluttony Linoone and sweep with Belly Drum Extreme Speed! It was such a powerful idea on paper that I could not pass the chance to use it. Then suddenly, I remembered the days when I had to fight Mono-Fighting teams. With Mega Pidgeot gone, I needed a replacement. I thought of Swellow and Dodrio, both of which got buffed in Gen 7 one way or another. What's a Mono-Normal team without Chansey, am I right? So I slotted Chansey into the team, taking damage for its teammates. I was worried about the many setup sweepers that I would face, so I chose Ditto, as its sheer presence prevents the opponent from setting up carelessly. But wait! Why use Dodrio when you can use Staraptor? A better ability, stronger and faster, gets better coverage moves, and only missing out the Knock Off. So I made the logical switch. With two birds, my team had extreme difficulties with Mono-Steel teams, so I put Pyroar in. It'd also make my team less physically-oriented. -In Depth- destruction.bat (Porygon-Z) @ Normalium Z Ability: Adaptability EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Thunderbolt - Psyshock - Ice Beam - Conversion Z-Conversion Porygon-Z is one of my wincons. I use Electric-type Conversion as Ghost-type Conversion isn't really worth it. The immunity to Paralysis helps immensely with setting up safely. Psyshock and Ice Beam are my coverage moves of choice, with the former nailing Fighting-types and the latter completing the BoltBeam combo. Porygon-Z can set up against a lot of tanks, including the common Utility Cobalion (Volt Switch/Thunder Wave/Stealth Rock/Iron Head) that almost every Fighting-mono uses, the dreaded Mega Sableye, and pretty much every tank that runs T-Wave. It cannot set up on Ferrothorn and Chansey, however, as the former hits back hard enough to beat Porygon-Z in a 1-on-1, and the latter capable of Toxic-stalling as Psyshock doesn't hit hard enough. I generally use Porygon-Z to clean up once the nastier tanks are gone. Limit Break (Linoone) @ Figy Berry Ability: Gluttony EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Belly Drum - Extreme Speed - Play Rough - Shadow Claw Linoone gets even more leniency with setting up in this generation. The raw power it has allows it to punch through a lot of Pokemon. Play Rough hits specifically Mega Sableye, and Shadow Claw hits Steel-types for decent damage and heavy damage to Ghost-types, although against ghosts, it usually gets burned before unleashing Shadow Claw. I usually switch-in Linoone as a revenge mechanism in tandem with Chansey. It is reserved for mid to late game as that's when I can benefit from Linoone the most. It faces trouble against Unaware Quagsire and Clefable, which require Seed Bomb and Gunk Shot to break through, but running these moves render it incapable of denting Steel-types. Extra Life (Chansey) @ Eviolite Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Thunder Wave - Soft-Boiled - Seismic Toss - Toxic Chansey is the meatshield of the team, eating up status aliments and spreading some of its own. Thunder Wave paralyzes Steel-types and Toxic neuters opposing walls. Seismic Toss is for damage, and Soft-Boiled is for longevity. Chansey is not meant to survive, but rather whittle down a threat enough so Porygon-Z or Linoone can come in and take over. The sneaky, gimmicky 4 EVs in Speed allows it to escape the very crowded base 50 speed tier, allowing it to paralyze Alolan Muk, Mega Mawile and poison Tangrowth. Most importantly, it allows Chansey to get an edge on opposing Chansey as well. Choreomorph (Ditto) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Imposter EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Transform The standard Ditto set. Original intention was to use Ditto to destroy Mono-Dragon teams. Seriously, Ditto > Dragons, though, it is also very much effective in other situations. Hawkeye (Staraptor) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Brave Bird - Close Combat - U-turn - Final Gambit Staraptor acts as both an Anti-Lead and an anti-Fighting Pokemon. Choice Scarf is used to ensure that it outraces even the faster Fighting-types such as Terrakion. Final Gambit can OHKO max health Rotom, while the other moves are all standard. Intimidate is chosen to further weaken Mono-Fighting teams. U-Turn is an excellent momentum-grabber. Mufasa (Pyroar) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Unnerve EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Fire Blast - Dark Pulse - Hyper Voice - Hidden Power [Grass] Another Scarfer? I have my reasoning, though. Outside of Pyroar, my team faces huge problems against Mega Metagross, only able to use Ditto to take out a weakened one. However, with Modest Scarf Pyroar, I can outspeed and OHKO Mega Metagross with Fire Blast. Hidden Power Grass is chosen to hit Water/Ground types. -IMPORTABLE SHEET-
  24. Halley caught the signal and finally went upstairs. There was only one open door, so she could easily tell where to go. She stepped into the room. "Gosh. What an annoying bunch." She muttered, handing the credstick to Lexiel.
  25. Make Dragon Hammer 100 BP, 90% Accuracy and a Speed Drop, keeping it as a Hammer clone. It'd help with Trick Room, too. Make Core Enforcer a Physical move instead of a Special one, so Zygarde can actually use it. Give Multi-Attack 100 BP instead of 90, making it a Judgment clone (Though Memory Discs don't give extra boosts). Give Glaciate 95 BP instead of 65. Poor Kyurem could really benefit from the speed drop and the power that comes with this Glaciate. Make Laser Focus' effect last until the user switches out. With this, Laser Focus becomes a superior Focus Energy. While this seems a bit overpowered, only Mewtwo, Lucario and Kartana can benefit from this, and they already have Nasty Plot and Swords Dance. Laser Focus will exist solely for the three Pokemon to break through CM / Curse / Bulk Up users. Give X-Scissor a high crit rate, so it doesn't become an inferior Leech Life. Give Giga Drain, Drain Punch and Horn Leech 80 BP, so they can be on the same level with Leech Life. Give Mist Ball and Luster Purge 100% chance at activating their secondary effects, respectively. Let Shell Trap activate as long as Turtonator has taken damage in the turn it is used. Make Sparkling Aria doubled in power if the target's burned, much like Smelling Salts with Paralysis. Give Triple Kick 30 BP and 95% Accuracy. BP scales from 30 to 60 to 90. Give Weather Ball 60 BP instead of 50. Gotta abuse Technician. Make it so Teleport switches the user out when used in battle. Give Mega Kick, Mega Punch and Slam 100% Accuracy. These moves had no rights to be this bad. Give False Swipe and Hold Back 60 BP. I want my False Swipers to be stronger, okay? Make Electrify's effect last until the target switches out. Give Constrict 50 BP. It is actually impossible to get a STAB with Constrict outside of Smeargle, so giving it a higher BP is justified, even if the move's learned in level 1 by every Pokemon that gets it, aside from Tentacool which gets it at level 7. Give Poison Sting 30 BP. Another move that didn't have to be absolutely terrible.
