  1. Orenucu and Hotshot entered DungeonMaintNet2. Mirona and GatlingMan entered DungeonMaintNet3. Vile collected 100 Zenny from the GMD. Battle Start! Brock/Vile
  2. "Is that so... " Serra pondered the risks. She could very well be putting herself in a quite vulnerable position here. She sent out Cleffy, and told the vendor "I hope you don't mind a second pair of eyes." She smiled, before following him. Cleffy drifted around Serra, making a few noises with her dangling keys.
  3. Vlastimir/Orenucu Buzzkill and Score were bound by the sticky remains of the Oil Devil, preventing them from moving for two turns! The Race continues, make your moves.

      Hi, welcome to reborn :)

    3. Dreamy

      Dreamy

      Hmm the maths checks out.

  5. "... Go over each of the balls for me. They're specialized, I'd assume?" Serra pressed on. "I'm not stocking up for any specific Pokemon in particular. I'm a traveler." ... "You're not doing a good job at impressing me. If that's all you got, then I'll just buy the balls elsewhere," Serra remarked at the vendor's disappointing lineup.
  6. Vile entered DungeonMaintNet2! The Oil Devils took their moves. Score and Buzzkill encountered the Oil Devils! Battle Start! Mitsuru/Score Hina/Buzzkill Axel/Mirona Vlastimir/Orenucu
  7. Serra would've followed, but she then realized that Horace was handling it -decently- well on his own. She muttered, "scratch that, then," she walked down the tunnel, passing right by Stacker Dave's, and hit up a vendor selling Pokeballs with bizarre designs and supposedly various effects. Her eyes scanned the visible stocks, before she asked, "I want something with high catch rate... Do you happen to have anything better than a Quick Ball or a Dusk Ball?"
  8. "Right," Emmanuel turned over the shards to another Space Aether Employee. He then made a beeline for the Drill.
  9. Hina/Buzzkill The Race continues, make your moves. Ayano "Cripes. That thing's nastier up close. I'm getting around it." "But what if it drops a rare chip?" "By the time we're done with that mess, who knows how far the others will get." [Up x3 / Right x6 / Down x1] (Gets a Shockwave L from deleting a set of 3 Mettaurs!) Kenji "Not bad. What's your name? Mine's GatlingMan." GatlingMan remarked at Mirona's Triple Delete. [Left x5 / Up x5] (Gets a Cannon A from deleting a set of 2 Canodumbs and 1 Mettaur)
  10. Hina/Buzzkill Brock/Vile Mitsuru/Score Axel/Mirona Vlastimir/Orenucu
  11. "The power's gone out on this end as well... They're not letting anyone in. Don't panic, alright?" Midori responded to Hina's call. "Hey, Midori, you got mail. From Vlastimir," SheepMan alerted his operator, who then proceeded to give the message a read. There wasn't really anything she could do, but she replied anyway. [FROM: Midori][SUBJECT: Don't be afraid!] Rides aren't supposed to break, but don't worry! Just wait a bit longer! I'm sure they will be able to find the root of the problem! - Score and Orenucu got 150 Zenny from the Green Mystery Data! The Oil Devils made their moves... Black trails: Oil. Makes you slip; basically repeats the move you took to get into an oil trail until you are no longer on an oil trail or you hit an inaccessible tile. (This will eat up the number of steps you can take for you) [Battle Start!] Hina/Buzzkill Brock/Vile Mitsuru/Score Axel/Mirona Vlastimir/Orenucu (Be sure to keep track of your own charges!)
  12. "We're looking for a small, light briefcase, as well as a smaller silver case, and in the worst case scenario, a purple Pokeball. For now, we're going to prioritize on the briefcase, while still keeping an eye on what could look like its contents," Serra told Elias. "We don't have many leads so far, so our best bet - until we hear words from the folks working on Steve - is examining the vendors here. Be sure to ask if they've seen black-clothed men passing by. It doesn't mean much with all the shady people around, but it's worth a try." "Let's go together. We'll start from the vendor there," Serra pointed at one of the vendors.
  13. 3:00 PM, The London Dungeon Enter at Your Peril Those stylized crimson letters right on top of the dungeon's entrance were the first thing you noticed upon arriving. Midori stayed in the lobby and watched as you all board the Descent and enter the depths of the Dungeon. The experience wasn't all that bad. You were accompanied by men and women dressed up as centuries-old English figures, telling you stories as you step through scenic rooms one after another. The occasional light shows and broadcast sound effects set the mood appropriately. Oh, and you may have heard one too many pie puns. Your tour was coming to an end with the Drop Dead: Drop Ride. You were forcibly reminded of the sound of a snapping neck before you were strapped onto the ominous bench. And then, something went wrong. The lights just went off, and the lift wouldn't move. In just a few seconds, backup red lights went up, and you heard a somewhat comforting broadcast. "We're experiencing technical difficulties. It'll take a few minutes to resolve, so please bear with us. Sorry for the inconvenience." ... And after ten minutes, it became apparent that the wait was getting nowhere. On the brighter note, you noticed a jack-in port right behind you, possibly for maintenance use. You could take the matter to your own hands. But, would you? You did have Midori's contact, maybe you could call her for help? [Race Phase, Start!] - Ayano Ayano sighed before taking out her PET. Something was up, and, well, she had to do something now. The others might've caught on sooner or later anyway. "Jack in! Hotshot.EXE, execute!" She swiftly took the first place and sent her Navi in. "Gosh, it's dark here. I'm seeing two black blobs far ahead. Talk about fitting," Hotshot let a gentle blaze out of her buster, before making a beeline for the southeastern passage. [Right x5 / Down / Right / Down x3] [Battle Start!] (Feat. Tutorial) Kenji "And so the race begins. GatlingMan, you're up." Kenji muttered before sending his Navi in. "I can already see Mettaurs hiding in the shadows. Do we deal with the black... thing, as well?" GatlingMan inquired his operator. "Don't waste your time, like whoever supposed to fix this wasted ours," Kenji replied. "Understood." [Right x5 / Up / Right / Up x2 / Left] (Gets Shockwave R from deleting a set of 3 Mettaurs!) NetNavi Status: Score: 300/300 Buzzkill: 300/300 Mirona: 300/300 Vile: 300/300 Orenucu: 300/300
  14. "ShamePen? What's his deal... " SheepMan grumbled as he deleted the mail. "What's wrong, SheepMan?" Midori asked. "Just spam. From Vlastimir," SheepMan quickly responded. Midori turned back to Vlastimir, giving him the 'I have no idea what you just said but I'm going to pretend that I understand' face. - Ayano Ayano was reading the pamphlet with interest, though Hotshot kept reminding her that she needed to be on the watch out for the NetNavis on the list. "Aren't you a killjoy. You're making it like we'll have to deal with that mess while having our tour," Ayano complained to Hotshot in a low voice - low enough for their guide not to hear it, who then answered "well we can't rule that out either!" "Don't be such a worrywart. We're on vacation! We'll just go on the UK net once we get to the hotel and search for leads then." Kenji Kenji read the pamphlet in silence. He had low expectations, honestly. But then again, it'd probably beat every other site in the city. He slowly drifted into sleep.
  15. Emmanuel gladly accepted the hand and got to the surface. He took his shoes out of his A-Comm again and put them back on. He noticed how the others were already mowing down the trees, and he could only infer that those things were only so durable due to the tree's energy. That did raise another question - Would that mean the greenery would return soon? That'd mean a new colony... He finally answered. "The others down there are okay. They still need the ropes though. Oh, and an Onix will be climbing up from here in a bit, carrying the only person unconscious down there, so watch out for that."
  16. "I suppose. I'll be checking the Goldenrod underground, then, tag along if you want" Serra said to whoever was left in the room before she finished her coffee and made her way downstairs, fetching a taxi to the Goldenrod Tunnel.
  17. Midori just smiled at the remark on SheepMan's name and said "Because that's what he is! A Sheep-Man," before getting to the real question. "The whole tour will take about an hour and a half. If you ask me, it's not that long - time flies when you're having fun, after all! And, I figured that you'd want a bit more thrill after a long flight~"
  18. In a sense, you could say that games like Castlevania and Metroid still have "tutorial," just that it's disguised as clever level design that shows you the ropes before you can actually get into the real deal. And really, they were just one step away from having an explicit tutorial - they were just missing text prompts. I do believe that intuitiveness should be considered in game design, which is why I believe it'd be great if all games can get away with the same kind of execution done by most platformers and even some RPGs, but I can't see the same being done to strategy games, which are only getting more and more deep and complex. In the end, I don't necessarily prefer one over another, unless we're talking about specific genre-wise. I would hate to play a platformer that requires as much tutorial as a strategy game does, but I would also hate to play a strategy game that doesn't even teach you the rules of the game board.
  19. "Of course! We'll go to the hotel for dinner, and after that you're free to explore London at night," somehow, Midori did not take offense to the secret police remark. Either that or she just intentionally ignored everything beyond the 'Or.'
  20. Ayano Ayano turned to her new 'rival,' another guy who wanted to be the greatest netbattler. "We'll see about that!" - "Wonderful! Now, next stop - London! See you then!" Midori declared. She stayed behind, making sure that people were heading the right way. The flight took about thirteen hours in total, with everyone having breakfast and lunch on board. Plane food was unsurprisingly mediocre. - 2:00 PM (local time), Heathrow Airport (LHR), London Of course it was raining. And heavily, too. Midori reminded you again that you're stuck with her for the next twenty days with her sheer presence at the end of the connecting bridge. She made sure that everyone made it to the lobby and rounded everyone up. "Alright so- We're going to see the London Dungeon today. More on that later. I've already arranged a tour bus for us, which is almost here. So, let's get going!" The said tour bus arrived just as promised. It was colored in a light yellow. - [Tour Phase, Start!] "The London Dungeon is basically a series of shows and rides about London's past. They have 16 shows and rides in total, and we're going to see ALL of them. Well, hopefully, because some of the rides aren't for the lighthearted," Midori took out her PET, "SheepMan, send the pamphlets to our guests, please~" [FROM: Midori] [SUBJECT: The London Dungeon] https://www.thedungeons.com/london/en/what-is-the-dungeon/ "And... As you can see, the Dungeon's not for the fainthearted~ Anyway, we'll get there in about 45 minutes. Any questions?" (Aside from asking about the London Dungeon, feel free to do whatever.) -
  21. Emmanuel took off his shoes and put them away in his A-Comm. "You should put more faith in me sometimes! We made it down from there, and we can make it back up too!" He shouted back with a playful smile. He then dried his right feet with his coat, before clinging onto a rock formation. While his feet were wet, they were also wrinkled, and the rocks weren't wet. He figured that his grip was fairly ample - It's not like he's never climbed anything. He traced the path he took to get down and made his way back up.
  22. "Alright, thank you ma'am," Emmanuel hung up. "We should get to the surface first, then. I suggest that we climb up through the way we came here," he pointed to the rugged walls of the well. "I'll be going on ahead." Emmanuel then climbed back up to the surface.
  23. "Thank you for your cooperation," Serra took another sip from her coffee and took a bite out of her bagel. She then simply sat there, waiting for the others to deal with Steve. She wanted to snoop around Goldenrod now, as the longer they took, the harder it would be to re-locate the briefcase and its contents. But, she also wanted to wait and see if the others could get more out of poor Steve.
