For people who do YouTube and do the whole "please like, comment and subscribe" nonsense at the end of their videos isn't there a better way of saying that without sounding like annoying pest? I've done YouTube videos for literally 10 years now (November 11, 2007 to be precise) and never have I once said that at the end of any of my videos. I'm sure there is a less intrusive way of saying that without coming off as annoying and sounding like you're begging for that extra like/sub. Even still I'd never do it, because I'd rather leave it up to my viewers to judge for themselves, than have me tell them what to do.
Just to add to the whole "like/comment/sub" thing. If I want to comment or have something to comment about I will. I'd rather you not remind me to do that, thanks. Also, I'll subscribe if I actually found your content not irritating like the rest of people on YouTube.

@Busti For me I develop an irrational hatred for that person and then I say to myself "thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, kindly die in a fire". I spare the rod in some instances, but with clickbait... no. Not at all. Especially on "journalism" websites that rely on it far too much.
-
@Dylanrockin Just so you know, an extension isn't needed. Youtube has that feature innately. Pres the 3 dots next to a video, and say "not interested" and when asked why, say you don't want videos from that channel to show up anymore.
Again, what exactly are you watching that you're getting constant clickbait videos?
My homepage looks something like this: https://prnt.sc/fba91k , my homepage is mostly a combination of science videos, anime/game analysis and various music. If anything my only complaint is that Youtube is getting too good at predicting things I would like to watch.

Fire Emblem: Warriors character that I really, really want is Mia, because goddamn she hasn't gotten anything since Awakening in Spotpass. I was hoping she'd be usable in Heroes, but no. Sad face. She might be behind a paywall, like what they did in Hyrule Warriors where they did the Wind Waker DLC pack, etc.
I just want to play as a female swordsman that was from my favorite Fire Emblem game ;w; Lyn is cool too, and I'm most certainly sure she's gonna be in it.

A Pokeplayer got mad at me because I denied him early access to my game. Not gonna say who, but this is only reinforcing my hatred for Pokeplayers even more, as well as their stupid and not-so-endearing name.
Entitled piece of garbage. You HONESTLY think I'm making my game for YOU?! You're having a fucking laugh! Go make ad-revenue off of someone else's game, and piss off.

Yeah talk about entitled.
But seriously, I'm really glad that you're not doing any sort of open beta or pre-release.
Those sorts of things can really screw over the game sometimes rather than improve it.
People should just go back to waiting for a game to be finished and then play it.
No more of this "early access" nonsense. Can't understand why anyone would want to play an unfinished game.
-
Nuzlocking isn't in the game, because it would make the story not make any sense. I have the game on a rail for a reason, which is why you can't remove a character's lead Pokemon.
Pokeplayer: Oh Eevee fainted, let me just release it.
*In a cutscene later, when Eevee is alive and talking*
Pokeplayer: WTF?! I JUST GOT RID OF YOUR ASS!
Now you see why?
Also, @Commander I agree, FE rules aren't necessary, which is why there are traditional difficulty options that... you know... do what they're supposed to do - enhance challenge.
@5hift early access = early ad-revenue for Let's Players, which = exposure for devs. which = money. I think Let's Players should be removed from this cycle entirely, since most of their idiotic commentary don't matter whatsoever.

So, I came in 3rd place at my University's Pokemon Showdown Tournament, thanks to a freaking Magic Guard Reuniclus. Guess which dork is me in this picture: https://scontent-yyz1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/14859839_1330302830321872_5178366231045922623_o.jpg

Apparently someone was SO butthurt in my livestream chat that they made 10+ YouTube accounts to report me and dislike my videos with. Dude, what even?

Apparently, on Metacritic, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is listed as the 2nd best video game of all time, just behind Ocarina of Time... wut. I researched this on the basis that Breath of the Wild was received so positively, and that it shares the 2nd place spot as well.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the Pro Skater series, but... REALLY?! It's considered the 2nd best video game of all time? I like the game series, but I don't like it THAT much!

Personally, I hate video game journalism and always have, since as you mentioned - reviewers are biased. Here's some sacrilege for you, I don't like Ocarina of Time, but I use the reviews given on Metacritic as a basis to see just what the consensus says about the quality of games. It is purely subjective, and ultimately, at the end of the day, it's all dependent on how I feel about the games I play.
I still found it bizarre that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is even in 2nd place to begin with. Not saying it's a bad game, but the fact it's there is mind boggling. There are much better games out there, that deserve 2nd place more.
Side note: Breath of the Wild is probably going to be my favorite Zelda Game, bar none.
-
@Dylanrockin I say you should embrace the subjectivity of reviews rather than condemn it. I never said reviews are bad, only that relying on scores is meaningless.
Read the reviews and what they're saying, find out why a game is fun and why it may appeal to someone like you. That is the true purpose of reviews which has been overshadowed by meaningless scores in recent times.

LOL. Someone tried filing a copyright claim against me, and YouTube actually believed it! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CilckAvU4AASNpO.jpg

I wanna know what person at Nintendo looked at the name for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U and thought "Yeah that's a good idea."
I still despise the Nintendo Wii for all the garbage it brought and it's forced, gimmicky motion control nonsense. I'm just in-between with the Wii U for it at least being competent even though it lacked focus from a development standpoint. Had better games than the Wii tho.

The Xbox One's name was named that way because Microsoft were being a bunch of pretentious idiots and acting all cool by saying "This will be the console that this becomes one device that addresses all the entertainment that you want to enjoy on your TV."
The Wii and Wii U lose points for having an idiotic name that doesn't translate well to a Western audience, because yes, I do know why they named it the Wii. But most Americans are too stupid to read between the lines of what they were intending. The Xbox One loses points for having a naming convention that proves itself confusing and arrogant, made by pretentious developers trying to sound cool.
And to further run home the whole Xbox One thing... my personal rig is better than anything that console could ever offer, so no, you AREN'T going to be the "One" console for me. Fuck off Microsoft and fuck off with your stupid Kinect as well.
-
Bro-gamers are mostly the audience that buys that kind of console. Microsoft's thought process is: does it shoot and have wheels? No? Then we don't want it.
PS4 isn't even a factor in this, because at least they are consistent and has a naming convention that's simple and makes sense. It's not like Microsoft who's trying to be pretentious and acting intelligent when it's the most unsophisticated, and unrefined console I've ever had the displeasure of seeing.

An example of title that tries WAY too hard:
The FUCK is "True-HD Quality" and why should we care if it is the "truest" of 1080p quality? Like, you listed 1080p effectively twice on there, why was that needed?
- Show previous comments 8 more
-
Oh, well basically 1080, 720 and 480 are basically just values meant to represent the width of a video's resolution. At higher resolutions the ability for one to distinguish quality begins to increase. The p, itself, stands for progressive scan, where all lines in a frame are captured at the same time.
But, for the most part, if you're a casual YouTube viewer you don't need to know what this means unless you want to have water-cooler talk and impress your friends with that bit of trivia

My condolences to anyone who saw that DSP video, today. I'm gonna need to seek therapy after that.

For those of you curious as to how much the budget for my game is, in the past 5 years I've spent upwards to 42,030 dollars. Which... I could've used to pay off some of my school loans, or buy a new car or... anything that isn't this. But, about 10,000 of that was also for the manga, if you want to include that in the final tally.

@Dylanrockin I won't say anything more on the matter other than I pray to the heavens you actually finish what you've been working on so far ('cause at this point, you kind of at the point of no going back). I can't really judge you too much on it because I spend god knows how many hours on a mod which in the long run, will be forgotten about and unrecognized. In other words, it's almost like I'm wasting my time doing nothing (but I do it because it's fun).
@DemICE From experience, the hardest part of one of these projects is not getting enough it done, but putting forth the effort continuously. Money really isn't the biggest factor in making a super ambitious project.

"Original the Character - DO NOT STEAL!" Do people still say that?

RIP Pokemon Reorchestrated ;w;

Apparently Mighty No. 9 is incredibly underwhelming, and Bloodstained is fantastical like I'd expect it to be.

Killing Net Neutrality is a huge deal, and FUCK Trump for doing what he's doing right now. I don't normally, ever, talk about politics, but this is a huge rise for concern.

Quick question: How does one go about dealing with this kind of sexual harassment? The person who I got paired to dorm with at college is making me EXTREMELY uncomfortable: https://i.gyazo.com/a1716a3d03203e945170d69093141f8b.png

I don't know how to respond to my peers when they try getting me to drink alcohol, when they know that both of my lack of interest in drinking, and medication prevents me from doing so. Mostly because the latter could potentially kill me.

Apparently my school's gaming club is hosting a Pokemon Showdown Tournament, and it happens that it is being sponsored too. I am definitely entering in it.

I'm not even a part of the Gaming Club at my University, but I know that there are a few people that I know on campus who play Showdown. Besides myself, who plays religiously, of course XD Apparently there's gonna be pictures taken and recorded with a camera. So I might show off some of them pictures if I get a chance.

Why does every Pokemon remix ever have to be a dubstep remix? Dubstep, to me, is the equivalent sound to robots fucking - it's unbearable.
Example: A very slow and relaxing song from the series be remixed into something high-energy and ear-raping. That's not what I had in mind for a remix, I was expecting closer to the original, but with less robots and wubs.

This is just an "enhanced" version of the original song. However, it's not exactly like the 3DS's sound style like XY, ORAS, SuMo, because those used actual instruments, a full orchestra to record their songs and not synthesized. It's more or less using a soundfont that is present in the 3DS's sound library.

Single-handedly the 2nd best Chrome app, next to ad-blocker. Good. God. Now I can block all the videos with idiotic, click-baity thumbnails and channels that I absolutely want no part of. Which means every, less-than-stellar Poke-tuber channel, every "prank" channel, and every wannabe let's player channel that uses a facecam and has the most unflattering, click-baity thumbnails this side of idiotic.

Fucking... why is this meme? Why? Why are people using the term "Autistic" as an internet meme? I'm sure that 2% of people who use this term ACTUALLY know what autism even is. And for those people... you should stop using this as a derogatory word for "retarded" or "stupid"
Are some people just simply assholes that use it as an insult associated with impaired social skills? And I also just don’t understand the hate against fandoms deemed as “Autistic.” I have many friends who are Autistic and one of my past girlfriends was Autistic and I'll let you know this: they were all fully-functioning adults that if they were to tell you they were autistic you wouldn't know otherwise.

When everyone has free reign on the internet, all kind of unnecessary word connections are made.
@Combat KYM is a website dedicated to documenting any and all internet phenomenon (anything that touches the internet, really), not just memes. It documents most memes old and new, many fandoms, whatever fresh political controversy that Don (is forced to?) write about, and internet terms.

So, I finished my new shelf: I think I might need to make another shelf, because I ran out of room for all my stuff XD I didn't even get the rest of my Tales games on the shelf, as they're in the closet shelf in my room.

Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Nintendo Switch looks like a hell of a lot of fun! Also the characters are super cute, so that's a plus! (Shame that I don't have anyone in my house to play with ;w; )
