  1. (12) Elias's Charmander frantically covers the area around it in black smoke, causing everyone standing on the field to suddenly experience difficulties with being able to open their eyes without experiencing some discomfort, and those of weaker constitution in the assembled group would start to cough a bit after they spend a few moments breathing an unfortunate amount of smoke inside of their lungs. But on the bright side this certainly helped Elias's Charmander avoid the Titan's bounce as the Magikarp (12) went for whatever seemed to be its original target. And rather unfortunately the only other nearby Pokemon that had an odd looking tail was (Random target roll 9) Zaru, and the Magikarp crashed straight into the poor Aipom and knocked it off of its trainer's shoulders despite its attempt at slapping it away with a surprisingly slow Fake Out (1). The Magikarp then bounced once more off of its target and landed on the hard ground with a visibly roughed up appearance before Daniel swiftly put it back into its Pokeball. Throughout all of this Emilia maintained her professional demeanor as best as she could by answering Serra's question with a simple "Why don't you just open it" while she returned her Bulbasaur back into her Pokeball and walked back towards the agency.
  2. Daniel's takes a step forward after he hears Jayden's response, and he gestures at the rest of the group before he says "This isn't the movies kid, a bullet isn't some magical weapon that instantly kills anyone it so much as grazes in a particularly unfortunate spot, in my long career I have seen men survive getting shot twenty different times in a row for long enough to give a mostly coherent report and make it back to the hospital for their life saving operation, and don't even get me started on how hard it is to reliably take out a Pokemon with a service pistol...," he then lights the old joe he has in his hands before he points it at Jayden's direction, "And believe me when I say that when the time comes and you have a clear shot towards your target, that most of you won't have the guts to pull that trigger until it is much too late." He takes a good and long drag from his cancer stick and he waits for everyone else to say something as you all hear the sound of a cell phone ringing as Emilia picks up her phone and answers the call. Daniel then turns to stare directly at Elias's eyes as his Magikarp stares blankly at all of the people who were not feeding it for some odd reason, "Well of course I was challenging all of you! As I needed to know if the bunch of young ne'er do wells I am apparently hiring are actually good for something. But as it seems that none of you are reckless enough to face me in a Pokemon battle, I will just have to teach all of you to never underestimate your opponent by saying the next six words.". Daniel points his finger directly at Elias's Charmander before he shouts out the words "Titan! Use Bounce, on the Charmander", causing his Magikarp to slowly start to bounce higher and higher on the grassy ground as it drew closer towards its target, before it suddenly leapt several hundred meters over the ground. The Bulbasaur smiles warmly at the rest of the group as it hands everyone their envelopes, and it decides to hide somewhere behind Jeanne after it hears Daniel shout out orders for his Magikarp to follow.
  3. Loadout Move 1: Jun reserves her one and only action to wait until Calvera finally puts up that gravity well and attacks the floating group with her plasma sword twice, dealing 4d6+(9*1.2) damage twice with an additional +4d4 added to one or both attacks, depending on whether or not they have been attacked before. This is all assuming that Jun doesn't die horribly before any of this happens. Relevant passives: Jun still has an 18% dodge chance just in case miracles do happen.
  4. Daniel rummages around inside of his jacket in search of his packet of cancer sticks as he says, "A detective should be able to set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, sneak past several armed guards and write a comprehensive report in the end of the day about why all of this helped their investigation. Specialization is for gym leaders". He finally manages to locate his packet of smokes and takes them out for just long enough to hear Jeanne say that she is taking a picture of him, and he immediately stuffs them back inside of his coat before he fakes a smile and says "Please do tell your father that we appreciate the funding he provides, and that we will make sure to at least try and keep his youngest daughter alive for the couple of months she will spend her before she quits out of boredom". He takes out a cigarette from his pack as he blatantly ignores everyone else to respond to Elias's taunt by saying "And what exactly are you planning on doing with that wiry Charmander of yours young man? I am quite sure that even a small child," he noticeably glances at Kayn's direction, "Could see that one side has an obvious advantage against the other". As Daniel says this a small Bulbasaur dragging a sack along with it hands everyone other than Elias a small envelope for some reason or other.
  5. Loadout Move 1: Jun hack away at the web rooting her to the floor to free herself from it. Move 2: Jun uses her plasma sword to deal damage to the Strider itself by swinging at its legs twice, dealing 4d6+(16x1.2)+4d4 damage to it twice unless, unless the Strider has somehow managed to not get hit by an attack at all before Jun could move (unlikely). Move 3: Jun deals 4d6+(16x1.2)+4d4 damage to the Strider by attacking it with her plasma sword again. Relevant Passives: Ambush Hunter causes Jun to deal an additional +4d4 damage after the target has already been attacked before. Jun's Weirdness Censor perk provides a 32% innate dodge chance due to her Dexterity being counted as 16.
  6. "I'm Elias, the new intern." Elias makes the rather simple introduction and waits for Daniel to address the group. Once the groups has finished introducing themselves, Daniel stands there, silent. He notes small details about the fresh recruits. "Ah a locksmith, that seems useful enough I guess....and You, child," he points his cigarillo at Kayn's direction, "do your parents know you that are here? Because I told Emilia to not hire any children". He brings the smoke back to his mouth as he says "And the girl from S.H.I.E.L.D....are you sure you want to associate yourself with them? I mean their agency is mediocre, at best.". He looks thoughtfully at the musician as he says, "Arlen... Arlen Eldes? Nope, I can't say that I have heard that name before, which makes a lot of sense; as I am sure that you wouldn't be here if you were any good at music after all.". He lets out a sigh as he glances at Aster's direction and exhales from his smokey treat, "And as for you Mr. Aster Wren, you shouldn't assume that much about anything. You are not here to get along with me, you are here to use your unique 'insight' to help stop your kind of people from commiting any more mistakes.". He stops to take another puff from his death stick before he says "Kampton, you say? The one with the Horsea? Well I must say that we are expecting a lot from you." He puts on his most sarcastic tone of voice before he says "Well well your daddy must be so proud, somebody finally gave you a job...." he then pulls out a pokeball, and lets out a rather confident looking magikarp before he points directly at Jayden. "And let's face it, this Magikarp has more prestige than your university could ever hope to attain. And lastly I expect great things from you young lady, unlike your father of course.". Daniel takes one last drag from his old joe before he throws the burnt out butt down to the ground, "Great, we have an excellent batch this year." Daniel turns to stare at Emilia before he says, "Did we really need to do all of this? Are you seriously telling me that you wasted my time, the companies resources and all of this effort for what? Two or three actually competent people and whatever the rest are supposed to be?. I sincerely doubt that any of them could even defeat this magikarp in battle.".
  7. Loadout Move 1: Jun's hacks away at the Strider using her MS-MUN3 Plasma sword to deal damage to the Strider's (sorry waifu) armor, dealing 4d6+(16x1.2) damage to it, and triggering Extra attack and Ambush Hunter to deal an additional 4d6+(16x1.2)+4d4 damage. Move 2: Jun uses her plasma sword to deal damage to the Strider's armor, dealing 4d6+(16x1.2)+4d4 damage to it, unless the Strider has already lost its armor (highly unlikely) in which case she uses her plasma sword to hack away at the Strider's legs. Move 3: Jun does the exact same things he did using her last move assuming that she isn't dead or otherwise incapicated. Relevant Passives: Ambush Hunter causes Jun to deal an additional +4d4 damage after the target has already been attacked before (The damage calculations assume that since the Strider and his armor technically shares an Initiative order, that it counts as the same target for Ambush Hunter/the Strider was already attacked before it was Jun's turn to move anyway). Jun's Weirdness Censor perk provides a 32% innate dodge chance due to her Dexterity being counted as 16.
  8. Loadout Move 1 (And only): Jun uses A.G.I.L.E. system on herself to multiply her Dexterity by 1.8. Relevant passives: Jun has an 18% (Dexterity x 2) dodge chance from her perk before she buffs herself with A.G.I.L.E. system (which increases it to 16*2%)
  9. Jun turned to look at Rose for a moment as they made their response known, and she gestured at the distance almost immediately after the other (other, other) woman finished speaking before she herself said "Well in that case you should lead the way then Rose, as we need to get to the lake's shore relatively quickly and you know this area far better than any of us do...although I still think that you should try your best to hide from the Borean Strider when we encounter it.".
  10. Everyone in the group were given a few more moments to talk amongst themselves and get a little more settled inside of their new offices; before the elevator door opened to reveal the other receptionist from downstairs, who rather gently reminded everyone that their new boss was still waiting for everyone downstairs. She then held the elevator door open as she calmly waited for the others to follow her. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Katie led the recently hired investigators to a rather small gated field located just behind the building itself, where their new boss and Emilia seemed to be having a conversation about needing an exterminator's help for...something you never got to find out as Daniel cut himself off mid sentence and turned to face the rest of you. He scanned the group for a few moments before he leaned his head slightly in Emilia's direction and quietly said "Didn't I already tell you to not hire any children? Because some of the applicants look really young," Emilia then let out a sigh before she turned to rather loudly say "Well they are the most competent applicants we could find. That and you rejected most of the older ones.". Daniel slowly but surely turned to face the group as he said "That is because none of them were dedicated enough for the job to accept the salary we were offering," his eyes lingered on the quickly retreating form of Katie before he slowly shook his head and said "She is going nowhere fast with that kind of attitude, you can't think of your job as just something you do to get by for the next day...not if you want to get something meaningful out of it. Do you really think that I would have gotten here if I thought so lowly of my work? Well all I can hope for is that all of you will be excited by the prospect of helping people," he let out a cough before he gestured at the investigators and said "Well I think it is time for all of you to introduce yourselves to me, as all eight of you will be working under me for the foreseeable future after all.".
  11. Tiburon, Vale 8.26. ¡Interrumpir! (Launches an attack at an enemy and stun them for one round. 4 round cooldown.) on Plains Borbatusk.
  12. Ahmed prayed twice before he started to dig into the food his family had prepared for him, he made one a perfectly audible and short one to quietly thank the lord for the new day and the meal they were about to eat (For Ahmed knew that the others wanted to eat soon), the dawning of a new day, and his father's soul, and a quiet and barely audible one for his father's continued survival...for he had yet to see a body, nor hear anything about one being found. He then spent a few moments after the meal to help the others clean up and to have a small conversation with his mother to check in on her and how she was feeling today/what she was planning to do. After he was satisfied with how his mother wasn't planning any activity that would require him to be present, he decided to say his goodbyes and walk out of the door...but not before he sent a short text message over to Satomi that simply said. "Had a weird EVA related dream last night, might have had something to do with that conversation I had with Beverly's mom about EVA fighting tactics and Angel history. What's going on with you today?".
  13. After she heard Lucille state what her plans were in a less megalomaniacal tone she decided to reply by saying "In that case I'll try to keep the damned thing off of everyone's backs for as long as humanly possible. Although I will say that I am going for the kill the moment you show any sign of failure, and I hope that this beast chooses not to react to our initial show of dominance by casually taking out the least well equipped person in this group". Her eyes lingered on Calvera for a few moments underneath her visor as she waited for Toshiro to speak his mind. And after she heard the fishman state that he did not have a way to cause fires, she slowly walked towards them showed the fishman a rather well decorated copper bow before she said "You can use a bow right? Because we got some arrows with a slime/gel covered arrowheads earlier, and I am pretty sure that you wouldn't need anything more than a spark to set them alight," she then moves back slightly before she gestures at the sheathed katana she was carrying. "I would offer to loan you this old thing, but I am pretty sure that you would be better off with what you already have". As an afterthought she decided to gesture at Leo's direction and say "And perhaps Leo could think of a way to set your weapons on fire without damaging them or its wielder, although I doubt that we have the time or resources to do that". She then turned to face Rose and said "And Rose, it might be a good idea for you to hide in the castle or try to make a break for the village through the forest while we fight the beast, as I think I speak for everyone here when I say that it is probably not a good idea to bring you directly to the giant monster that seemingly carries single minded desire to kill and eat you. That and you don't seem to have any weapons with you".
  14. Jun stared long and hard at Lucille before she replied with "Alright so I guess we'll just track down the giant monster that regularly kills and eats human beings, and then we'll just do practically nothing to prevent it from trying to kill the rest of us while you yell at it to stop trying to do that and listen to your commands until it rolls over and shows you his stomach like a good boy. Because I definitely don't see any way that could go horribly wrong". She then turned back to face Rose and the fish man before she continued by shrugging and saying. "Also I honestly think that using Rose as bait for the Borean Strider is going to backfire on us considerably if it decides to attack her first the way it apparently did whenever someone tried to rescue her...and actually Rose, do you know where the Borean Strider hunts or makes its nest?".
  15. Ahmed The first stage of grief is denial, and it set the stage for the events that played out in the first day. Ahmed had somehow managed to convince himself that his father had somehow survived that eventful day and had simply gotten himself lost and spent the rest of the day holing up somewhere in the savage wilderness, and that he would be back soon with nothing but a wounded ego and maybe a missing limb. He spent the most of the day by trying to help his mother get used to her new condition as best as he could, and he made frequent trips to the medical station to consult a doctor for any advice they could give that would allow her to live a relatively normal life. He couldn't help but ask the man if there was some drug she could take, or some hopefully tried and tested operation she could undergo that would allow her to regain her ability to walk once more; because after all they were living in a highly advanced spaceship that had landed in a brave new world weren't they? And he did pilot a giant mecha to kick a giant worm thing in the face just the other day didn't he?. The doctor was unfortunately called away to help another patient before he could say anything in response, and after a while he got tired of waiting and simply chose to spend the rest of the day by trying to cheer up his family and periodically calling Satomi to remind her that she is always welcome in his family's house. He didn't remember what his dream was that night, or whatever it is he dreamed of the night before, and in fact he found himself being unable to remember that much about what happened after he followed his mother back to their new home....or perhaps he didn't want to. The second stage of grief would be anger, but Ahmed wasn't feeling particularly angry on the third day. His father had yet to return to the Ark, quite possibly because he was dead; yet despite everything Ahmed was still unwilling to let that fantasy go, and he chose to spend most of the third day by gathering up some supplies and surveying the local area in search of his father. He wasn't really surprised by how....broken the settlement was, as he was admittedly guilty for potentially destroying some of it by accident during the fight against the Angel. He eventually found himself getting sidetracked on his original goal as he couldn't stop himself from trying to help out wherever he can; because after all it is what his father would do in this situation after all; if he was you know....around. By the time he got back to the Ark it was almost time for whatever passed for 4ish PM on this new world, and he decided to have a nice little chat with Satomi about nothing particularly important or interesting. After an hour or so had passed he decided to get up and say goodbye before he knocked on the door to the shrink's home and visited the four or so other people he had met on that fateful day. He was quite surprised to learn that Beverly had already forgotten his name despite them having fought together less than three days ago. Although he didn't really mind her calling him "Lancelot", as despite the man's failings he was still a peerless knight who in a particular example could bring a man back to life by simply crying on them for a couple of awkward moments, and he found himself jokingly asking her "If I am Lancelot, then does that make you Sir Kay?", to which she could only respond by frankly dismissing him and walking away. Although he did make sure to tell her that he would be happy to answer any questions she had about the Arthurian myths. He then left to help his mother and sister prepare a rather pleasant dinner after he had a very brief conversation with Asuka (Well he said conversation but all he did was say "Hi" and she closed the door on him), and a much longer one with Ranga that ended with him stating that she could come and visit him and his family anytime she wanted, and that she needn't hesitate to call him over if she just wanted to talk. He had difficulty with sleeping that night, and he tried his best to keep Satomi just as awake with a series of messages to try and ward off the odd feeling of loneliness he had. He eventually fell asleep with the practice rapier (Heavier than usual) his father had gifted to him more than a century ago cradled in his hands. Bargaining is the third stage of grief, and Ahmed's mind was certainly doing a lot of it on the third day as he tried to justify his belief that a presumably wounded 40 year old engineer could survive in unfamiliar wilderness for two days straight, and he couldn't help but admit that even his cool survivalist father would probably find it hard to do so without any equipment. Yet despite everything he couldn't help but cling onto his belief, as after all...they hadn't managed to find his body yet right?. He took his rapier with him as he left to search for his father and trying to help out who ever seemed as if they needed any help. He then tried to glean any amount of information he could about the Angels, the EVAs they piloted, and how to best fight using them from Asuka. Which was an activity that could be best described as him spending the rest of the day by shadowing her until she finally gave up and sat down before she gave him a few piloting tips, told him some stories she heard about the special weaponry used by Angels on Earth in surprising detail. She then finished the Q&A session by outright telling him to start practicing some martial arts (presumably because of how poorly his first Angel fight went), which he responded to by simply pointing at the practice sword he was carrying and telling her that he knew how to fence. She seemed to not believe him and asked him for proof of his claim....and he replied by walking back to his house and unpacking his coveted first place trophy in NERV-03's annual junior's fencing competition and ran back to the shrink's office to show it directly to her. Everything after that was a blur of activities that involved giving his relatives some love and affection to try and help them come to terms with their father's dea-disappearance, trying to hug Satomi and talking to her about what he managed to learn about the ANGELs, and practicing his fencing for the first time in a century (He found that the novelty value of saying that was greatly lessened by how often he was saying it); before he ate his dinner and went to sleep with both of his hands grasping his sword. Depression is the fourth stage of grief, but depression wasn't the correct word to describe what Ahmed was feeling after that particular nightmare. For it was abject terror that caused him to practically leap out of the bed with the sword in both hands, it was a tad bit of impotent rage that caused him to bring the blunt blade down on his hopefully non existent foe as he fell on the cold and hard floor. But of course neither of those emotions were what caused him to lay down his sword and use his communicator to write down as much as he could about his nightmare, as he honestly felt that it might be a good idea to tell Doctor Alma about it...later.
  16. Jun rather quickly rushed towards the Rose and immediately unleashed a torrent of questions about pretty much everything she could immediately think of about the lake really. She then took a deep breath and walked back to the rest of the party before she outright said "I can now confidently state that we are about to give the Borean Strider absolutely every single advantage in the fight it will presumably start when we are too deep inside of the snow banks to find adequate cover or change directions and run towards a less difficult to traverse area. And while I would honestly suggest that we send out a fast scouting party down to the forest first to try and distract the strider and draw it in before we set the whole place on fire and head to the village through the snow banks. The fact that the borean strider seemingly chooses to ignore other valid targets and try to hunt Rose down first might nip that plan in the bud if she leaves the castle before it dies, also I can't set a forest on fire quickly enough, and I am not sure if Calvera can keep up".
  17. Loadout Current Action: (Level 1) Battle Plans: “Richard analyzes the current situation and formulates a cunning plan, one that is so cunning that it has recently managed to become the professor of cunning studies in Harvard” Adds the user’s INT stat to the target’s RES or their Main attacking stat for two rounds. Level 2: Int x 1.25 added to the target's RES or Main Attacking stat instead of just Int. Level 3: This ability now targets two characters at once Target: Buff Mitsurugi and Perlita's main attacking stats
  18. Radovan reacted to the presence of the tree and Betani's A-Comm shattering into its constituent parts by doing exactly what any gentleman would do in that situation; by only acknowledging the presence of the clear and present danger up ahead with a half hearted "Well that is inconvenient...," and him rushing forward to catch Betani before she falls on the wet and rocky ground with a hopefully reassuring "Are you all right Miss Betani". He then spends the next few moments by carefully helping her get back up without touching any of her inappropriate bits while he stared at the pixie shard as it flew towards the tree and somehow managed to dispel the crushing gravity and the inexplicable rain. After those few moments had passed and Betani had presumably already did that faffing about with slapping or thanking him for helping her get back on her own two feet, he would take out the aetherball that contained his strongest Pokemon, and he would let his Sableye out to play as he told it to "Attack the Tree with a Shadow Sneak if it makes a move against us!".
  19. James turns to stare at Horace for a few moments before he says "Yes I know that no one is perfect, but in all honesty it is always a good idea to remind people that their lack of perfection isn't an excuse to do incredibly stupid things such as 'Accidentally' throwing the priceless vase you were supposed to retrieve at the thief to try and 'prevent him from getting away'; like Dave before he was let go". He then replies to Serra's question with "No actually that was a bit of hyperbole on my part, people have messed up before, but the HR department prefers to use the interrogation rooms or one of the conference rooms if they need to have a very sternly worded or eerily polite conversation with someone, I think it's just one of the few reasons they have for leaving their office during work hours," as he leads the party away from the door leading to the HR & Accounts department and towards the nearest elevator heading to the second floor. Their guide decides to answer Adara's question by saying "Honey, if you want to survive in this business for long, you need to learn to be less trusting of people. Because for all I know, one of you could secretly be a thief who is only joining up to case the place out and steal some files from the File room/Computer center on the fifth floor. Which we are not visiting of course, because we are on a strict time table and the place smells of unwashed nerds and...do I really need to say more?," Once the entire group had finally entered the elevator and left the library itself. He then simply stands there and checks his phone for messages as he waits for the elevator to carry everyone up to their next destination. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ James decides to start their tour of the second floor by immediately pointing out just how convenient it is that the entire facility is in the exact same floor as the ever so dangerous weapon's training ground, as accidents can always happen after all. He then leads the party away from the white tile and verdant green wallpaper medical center itself as "Most of the place is off limits anyway unless you are a doctor, a nurse, or a patient, and I personally don't want to annoy Dr. Zavier any more than I have to so...". He then walks off towards the drab grey color confines of the weapon's training ground and beckons for everyone to follow him.
  20. Jun quietly followed the rest of the group inside of the skeleton covered room, and she waited as they all milled about and talked among themselves and inspected pretty much every single corner of the room they were in to try and find any hidden surprises. She rolled her eyes at Toshiro underneath her helmet when the man inexplicably decided to stab a skeleton as she quietly walked towards the stairway, and she activated her cloaking device before she started to make her way down to gingerly open the door. Revealing a relatively empty storage room with what appeared to be almost everything a single woman would need to survive in relative comfort when away from her home...except for a washroom of course, but the ambassador decided to worry about where the woman did her business as she carefully walked towards an unopened, that upon closer inspection seemed a bit...odd somehow, although she couldn't quite figure out why. And after a moment of deliberation she decided to walk back to where the others were standing and practically drag the fishman down to the storage room. Just in case everything went horribly wrong when she cut the door's hinges with her plasma sword, sending the door crashing down on the floor...and a wickedly sharp looking stick to get slammed into the exact place her head would have been if she was just a tiny bit less cautious. She then turned to look at Toshiro to make damn sure that the man was still in one piece before she turned off her cloaking device and said "You should go back to the rest of the group and tell them about what we have found here, I'll just...try to scout ahead some more," and she gingerly inspected the room beyond the trap to try and find and disable/preemptively trigger from a safe distance any more traps she might find inside.
  21. Radovan reaches out to gently pat Emmanuel on the head when they turned to face him. "Of course I am coming with you! There's no real use in just standing around here after all". Radovan then waits for Emmanuel and Zeta to make their way down the well first before he does the same, as he reasoned that he would be strong enough to help lift them out of the well if something unfortunate happens.
  22. "Acknowledged!," Alan sent his smallest gun drone ahead of the rest of the group to try and have it scout ahead and assemble a rudementary map of the ship they would be breaking into.
  23. The applicants finds themselves waiting exactly ten seconds inside of the elevator with its slightly stifling awkward silence and oddly catchy elevator music, and the double doors soon opens to reveal a rather small and well lit hallway with nondescript white walls and a calming light blue carpet covering the floors. James holds up a finger and lets out a barely audible slithering sound as part of the almost universal gesture of keeping quiet, and he quietly says "We are almost at the library, the librarians here really hate it when someone makes too much noise....or leaves any kind of stain on the carpets...so put your Pokemon back into their balls before anything happens". Assuming that everyone did as James asked; the man spends the rest of the trip by leading the group through the maze-like series of rooms that composed the library, and past the seemingly endless array of judgmental looking, and identically dressed old men and women whose outfits and general demeanor marks them as some form of librarian. The group presumably spends a few moments to stare at an eerily quite scene involving a very tired investigator, and a group of librarians who are still trying to drag the man's sleeping form towards what you assume is the exit. Throughout all of this your tour guide does his best to quietly explain exactly why he finds this place to be rather creepy and unnecessary for the agency in the world of smart phones and ebooks. Although most of you will find the man's statement that the library also doubles as the Psychic pokemon's habitat (Habitats being the place where your Pokemon are allowed to roam relatively free when you are not using them), and how the eerily silent library staff extensively uses the help of their own Psychic Pokemon to be a bit odd....as you have yet to see any Pokemon inside of the whole room, other than the ones you are bringing in yourselves of course. Your tour of the seemingly endless library ends rather abruptly as you all shuffle into a surprisingly open room that is dominated by a receptionist's desk in the north of the room that overlooks several currently occupied long wooden tables that seems as if they will fit better in an open garden. The surprisingly young librarian manning the desk smiles and waves at you when you enter; although the various other men, women, and librarians in the room seems to be in favor of ignoring your general existence and continue with their little whispered conversations and other light activities. James quietly gestures towards a set of doors on the other side of the room and just quietly says "That is the HR and Accounting department, no one actually goes there, and I hope that none of you will ever have a reason to go here...as that only happens when someone messes up somehow".
  24. Jun rummaged around to look for the ring as she said "Sure, I don't really have a use for it anyway," before she handed it over to Leo and said "Just try not to get yourself killed with it alright?".
  25. James reacts to the proceedings exactly the way a proper adult who really wants to get all of this over with as soon as possible would, and that is by interrupting pretty much everyone's conversation by clearing his throat and loudly proclaim "Right! Now that we are all done with our introductions and form filling, I think it is about time that we all move on to start the tour before we use up any more of our precious time," while he walked over to swiftly press the button and call the elevator all the way down from its lofty perch in the 8th floor. A few moments of awkward silence passes between James and the applicants as the elevator seemingly tries its best to make sure that it stops at every single floor imaginable on its way down. Once the elevator finally makes its way down and opens its doors, the man swiftly walks in, takes out a keycard from one of his jacket's pockets, and inserts his keycard into its slot before he pushes the button for the first floor. He then gestures for everyone else to join him inside as he holds the door open and states "You all have exactly one minute to enter into this elevator before I close this door and spend the next hour by leading a tour of this humble agency for an audience of myself".
