Well, today was basically one huge TFW moment so I'll just put that under the spoiler
Today was the day of the flower parade in my town, and I've been helping out at the workplace I've been part of my entire life for about 2 months or so to help getting it done. I've gone nearly every day, helping putting cardboard on the float, covering it in white paper, painting about 30-40% of the outside parts of the float and yesterday I also helped with putting flowers on it. The colors were nice, when it drove out of the workplace it looked amazing, and the music was awesome!
Except the weather was awful if you looked at the float we had.
This was our float.
Basically, what happened is that there was some rain and wind. The rain was no problem as it'd stop as soon as it started, so that wouldn't really have been a problem. The problem is that the wind damaged quite a lot of the moving parts of the float-- especially the tail, as it's kinda susceptible to wind. As a result of the gusts, two people almost fell off during practice near the tail, so in the end the workgroup council and the designers... Decided to not participate in today's parade, for the safety of both the actors and the audience, which means that we were practically disqualified from the competition. We got no score, no prizes. Nothing.
I swear I've cried about 7-8 times today, it's practically the worst thing that could happen to a workgroup that a float can't compete, and it happened to TWO workgroups this year-- something that has never occurred in the history of the flower parade (which is 80 years long this year). The last time a float was unable to participate in the competition was 16 years ago, so it really fucking sucks that it happened to us this year. The salt in the wound is that tomorrow is going to have wonderful weather, so I'm really mad that we didn't have that kind of weather today. If it wasn't for the weather, all of the floats would've been able to participate, but alas...
God, this really really fucking hurts really bad, honestly.

Recently I've been getting more and more interested in Graphic Design. So much so I've been considering purchasing a drawing tablet for a while now. However I have no idea about differences between tablets and my research hasn't helped me much in these questions. So I thought to ask around here with people who have have used tablets before. So if anyone could help answer some of my questions I'd be very grateful for your help and your time.
1. Is it hard to get used to not being able to see where you're drawing? As in was it hard not being able to see where your pen was relative to the picture because most drawing tablets don't have a screen on them so you'd have to look at your monitor while drawing on the tablet.
2. Would you recommend a windows tablet for drawing? This would rectify question 1 because now you'll be able to see exactly where you're drawing.
3. What's a good program to use for creating art with a tablet. I've heard about Photoshop though it seems to be quite expensive and it's a monthly payment.
4. Is it worth getting the newest wacom or should I get an older version?
- Nope. You just gotta get the hang of it, which may take few times drawing with it, but once you do it's almost as if it comes naturally, so it's not something to be worried about.
- Ehhhh.... There's cheaper ones, such as Huion or Wacom.
- Photoshop is definitely recommended if you intend to get serious about working with art as it's probably the most flexible and customizable art and editing software around, otherwise, Paint tool SAI is a good alternative (albeit not free. I think it's about 80 dollars) for more manga/anime styled drawings, Krita is a very good and free(!!!) program to paint with, and GIMP is just as flexible as Photoshop but... really isn't user friendly and very hard to figure out, so I don't exactly recommend using that one.
- Old ones work just as fine, but may lose driver support and updates at some point. Newer ones also have a bit more customizing options iirc, but it doesn't differ all that much. In any case, you'll probably be fine buying either.

For a first attempt, this is very well done! But if you want to keep on improving, I'd say that you should look up some shading and hair tutorials (deviantart has PLENTY) as those will help you learn new things and improve on them. Other than that, well done!

If you go in the graphics folder for Reborn, you can find all of the overworld sprite sheets in the characters folder. You could try to use that for reference, but aside from that I don't think there's a lot you can use for reference otherwise.

Alright, so I decided to play the game, and as I went on I compiled a list of bugs, suggestions for future additions to the game.I'll update this list as I go as well, and it may update a bit sporadically because I have the attention span of a potato but!!! Even though there's duplicate errors noted (as in other people already mentioned them before), I'll just keep them there.Bugs
- Text skip in the intro with Litwick saying "This vacation could be a good opportunity to start." when using the FR/LG font for the text.
- Passability errors on the empty spots on the table when picking a starter.
- TM ball for Thief in the storage room on 4F has a passability error
- 1F is the same as 4F and 5F.
Suggestions- Perhaps try to get the typing screen working when entering names (it's a bit faster!)
- Add the quicksave option + hotkey
- With sprites, be careful that you work on the 1:1 scale of the sprites (so the original size!) instead of the 2:1 sized sprite you use in the game. Having pixels that are smaller than the rest of the pixels used in the game make it look out of place.
- Try to avoid making the maps extremely big and having little in it. If you're making a big map, put a lot in it so people won't get bored of walking around in a big, empty space.
Good luck though, ICSW! This game seems like a lot of fun so far :]

FraRPetO's sprite is done!
This one was quite a challenge and I still feel like there could be a few tweaks here and there, but I'll have to fix it later as I can't put my finger on it quite just yet what it is that's missing. In any case I hope the sprite still looks good! ;w;

Hey Zumi.
It's been almost 2 months since something happened here so is this shop still open or did you close it recently?
I can't commission you because I can't afford real money things lol (Only rupees for sprites) but you do awesome work so I hope this is still happening.
Just curious and wanted to bring attention to this again since Alice, Angel and Shia's shops are all front page.

Nope, it's still open! I've simply been super super busy with school lately so the one commission I still have running hasn't been worked on because I didn't have enough time to work on it so far. Things should be able to start up again after next week friday, though!

Jsyk, I will be hosting some games during the EU party as well, such as epicmafia, cards against humanity, boardgame online and the likes, so it's not like there won't be anything to do during the EU party. They'll be played sporadically, so join in if you feel like it!
