I'm gonna be completely honest, rectangular dungeon rooms are 100x better than the rooms generated in GtI

Short answer: It's not. Infinity was such a let down, everything I liked about the second one basically disappeared here in favor of gen 5 pokemon, the 3D, and the paradise system (which is more frustrating than useful). I really hope this game follows the PMD TDS format instead of GtI.

They fall into an outside offshoot of that cave with the Uxie statue. Its on one of the floors that doesn't require flash and on the north part of the cave. -

Since it appears that the starters are done Pyroar: A-, it has a great movepool and mixed Work Up sweeping potential right from the start that only grows larger as it naturally learns Flamethrower, Crunch, and Hyper Voice. It isn't the most defensive of Pokemon but it's a great Fire type to start off the game with. It's also great against the first few gyms, but it gets outclassed later by fire types like Darmanitan and Ninetales.

Ciel is the flying leader who's not fight able in e14 quite yet. If you're willing to use potions it's certainly possible, if not you're in for a fun ride in getting lucky land.
