  1. TFW your dog brings a frog inside and expects to be rewarded for it.
  2. Shinies are very common in this game, really. More so if you have the Shiny Charm. If you breed for perfect IVs and stuff, there's an excellent chance that a few will be shiny per set of, I don't know, fifty or so eggs that you may hatch. I must have a trophy box full of shinies with subpar IVs that didn't make the cut but were too pretty to discard.
  3. Magma gang scum. Don't you know that water is always superior? Just kidding, it works either way without regard for who you joined. The plot is mostly the same, your Magma gang leader should take you there just fine. Go talk to Maxwell. Also the only real difference is an optional sidequest that depends on the gang you joined. The quest is the same, but the reward differs: Magma gang, if you chose it, gives you Sunny Day. The Aqua Gang gives you Rain Dance.
  4. God what are these monstrosities? Chariking looks like a creepy, rapey machosist lizard. Not gonna lie that thing is probably the reason Nidoqueen doesn't breed. Primectrode looks funny and sad at the same time. Snorlagonite is TOO FAT! HOW DARE YOU DEFILE THE MAGNET LORD! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT HE IS THE ONE TRUE GOD? Magnezone fainted for your sins, and was Magnet Risen from the grave...respect his Magnetic Offspring, and thou shalt be Magnet Pulled away from evil and towards the Iron Gates of Magnetic Heaven! Jk, these are pretty good, made me laugh! Keep it up!
  5. There is a chat in a lobby, along with a source of radioactive puns and a flask of memes. When there is a random subatomic decay, the flask is shattered and the memes leak out. Now, Herr Schrödinger, is the chat both alive and dead?

Minus the meat, please. I'm a herbivore; see the Reindeer avatar and the whole 'Green' theme with my name and everything?

According to quantum mechanics, the chat is one of two states: alive or dead. When no one is observing the chat, it is considered to be simultaneously alive and dead. However, when an observation is made, the superposition of these states ends and the chat dissolves into either one of these quantum states.

I know. That's why the mods must never observe the chat!

  6. This cannot be overstated: LEVITATE MAGNEZONE Right, now for the rest of my suggestions: 1. Drizzle on something other than a dumb froge. Every single weather ability has multiple non-Ubers starters, except rain. Give Drizzle Mega Slowking, for one, because every other weather also has a mega Pokemon capable of setting it. 2. Sand Rush Mega Garchomp. I know this is absurdly broken, but Garchomp losing speed, its most important attribute, is as dumb as Magnezone floating but not levitating. And it's not like GF didn't want to make a broken Pseudo Legendary Mega in Salamence or anything. Megachomp would be abusable only in Sand, and granted that he can wreck everything with that bulk and that power of he is also the fastest abuser of Sand Rush, but that's the point, goddamit it! Aaargh, GF why you so dumb! 3. Why doesn't Goodra get Poison Heal or Regenerator? Imagine how good(ra) that would be! It is based off a nudibranch, a sea slug that eats poisonous anemones and itself becomes poisonous by absorbing those toxins. PERFECT logic for Poison Heal! Goodra's only issue is that it can't heal up reliably. Rwgenerator is also suitable on a slug. And it also looks the type, since it gets a Poison and Water coverage. GF WHY ARE YOU MAKING MONS BAD!?
  7. This is a great idea! Some parts if Reborn made me think back to some of my favourite pieces of music, although Reborn's current soundtrack is fantastic as is. Granted, I'm an old-fashioned classical music bore who probably hasn't heard much of anything vthats newer than Samuel Barber or Hariprasad Chaurasia, but even so, this is excellent. I'll be sure to link some stuff here when I'm back home!
  8. Good guess. Also goodnight. Spine, replace my position here while I rest for the night, why don't you,?
  9. That's kinda the meaning of splash though... In that it's utterly meaningless. It's like saying why not make nothing into something because nothing is nothing special... But nothing is special precisely because it is nothing.
  10. I've known you for only a very tiny fraction of those five years, Erick (as I first addressed you) but I can still offer congratulations...right?
  11. That grim satisfaction when you tell someone not to gamble, but they disregard your words and go ahead and lose money...
  12. It's okay, Bibsie~ You can do what you want, Bibsie! No one stops you from doing anything, Bibsie!
  13. Terrifying about sums it up. BURN EVERYTHING! Also, Cradily's niche is Storm Drain IMO, it was big on sand teams in DPPt (still is used in mono sand sometimes) because it could almost singlehandedly deal with the water types that gave sand trouble. With the Spdef boost from sand and Storm Drain, spamming surf would be dangerous against it, and even most non-stab Ice Beams could be tanked and Giga Drained/Recovered off. It could use its qualities to Toxic stall, set up SR or be a legitimate Curse threat. Harvest on a creature that is not actually a plant is kinda iffy IMO. Only tree Pokemon get it (Exeggutor, trevenant and tropius) and Cradily's a sea lily, an animal, not a plant (though it still has a gras typing so EH)
  14. Reborn doesn't really strap us with cash for unlimited potions and stuff, even late game, but I appreciate the point in general. I just feel safer, you know, if a tanky Mon that has access to a healing move, has it too. Of course, just my opinion. (Also I loathe using Minimize and Double Team and that sort of stuff. Thoroughly unfun and uncompetitive, even in-game. That too is just my opinion.)
  15. PH, all right then. LEVITATE MAGNEZONE. It makes no sense whatsoever that it doesn't already have it; I'll murderize GF if they don't give Mega Magnezone Levitate (I mentioned Mega Magnezone on the make your meha thread, that might've got me confused) Also, Tinted Lens Volcarona, ohhh yesss!
  16. Doesn't this exist somewhere else? If not, then my bad. Here, have the best suggestion of all time: LEVITATE MAGNEZONE!!! Goddamn GF...
  17. Ghetsis abused N. He deliberately raised an orphan kid to loathe humanity as vile oppressors of Pokemon, allowed him contact only with Pokémon who had themselves been abused, and warped his mind...only to unleash the power of true, child-like innocence to awaken one of the Legendary Dragons and serve as a mascot for the people of Unova...all so he could gain huge power (pun not intended) behind the scenes as the only possessor of Pokémon (as well as regional and political power) Then, Ghetsis went completely loony when the player shat on his victory parade and bested N with their own dragon. He snapped at N, hurled abuses at him, derided him for failing his mission and outright called him a warped, inhuman boy who never was meant to be a raised as a human in all its sense. Yeah, that's parental abuse if you ask me. He mayn't be N's biological father, but he was a guardian and parent legally, and he abused N horrifyingly and callously. That's why BW's plot is quite mature compared to other Pokemon games.
  18. I think I have to clarify my point. I was never against the wiki as a concept, merely advising an adaptation of it on a more compact scale, since the puzzle and item guides exist. Of course, if you truly wish for a comprehensive wiki then you could always incorporate the exiting guides into it, to gather everything in one place and save you trouble, for yes, it will help a new member or general public to gather the necessary information better. While I can't yet afford assistance, you do have my moral support for what it's worth. Once again, all the very best!
  19. I might cite similar reasons as Michael, but I invariably seem to arrive late to the scene and have my arguments poached :] In any case, I will be unable to contribute to this idea because I frankly already have much on my plate, and will not be having anynless to deal with in the conceivable future. However, I agree that a wiki is not only redundant in such a broad or expansive aspect (as the forums provide live answers, and item and puzzle giudes exist already in great detail) but the concept of a wiki might throw off the 'aura' of the game, as you call it. Reborn is aimed at being an experience, not just another Pokémon game to grind through. I'm not discrediting your idea, merely offering my view that to walk people through this, and by that I mean the general public, not even account holders (as is plenty of people make a temp account to ask one question and poof) is, in my opinion, not the way Reborn is to be enjoyed optimally. Sure, people eventually learn about the game and know it like the backs of their hands, but the joy of Reborn is also in interacting with the community who worked to make it happen. I suggest the idea be toned down a little in scale, and deal with character appraisals as pointed out, or with specific gym battle discussions, tactics scales and the map, if you wish to truly aid the challenger and yet maintain something which is not already in existence. That's my two cents' worth, of course. I wish you success in all your endeavours.
  20. I was joking about Professor Mango. Tbh it is summer now, the mango trees in my garden are bearing fruit, I'm pigging myself on 'em and I wanted to make lame fruit puns. On a more realistic note, female professors are named more after vines or shrubs, not tall trees. Professor Hawthorn? Jasmine? Abelia?
  21. I think both of us should stop fooling around and get back to our respective works XD See you later, Dhan. The next person shouldn't be you!
  22. Roserade is excellent, I agree. I use one myself in Reborn as one of my good Grass types. However, I am the guy who endured breeding a rose incense Roselia with an exeggutor and a ditto several times to get me a good HP fire one with excellent IVs and moves like Leaf Storm, Extrasensory and Sleep Powder. The thing about the Roserade family is, they learn rather crappy moves through level up. They get Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Synthesis and Giga Drain, yes, but nothing else, and without breeding they can't learn a single good Poison type move or any coverage moves. TMs are also scarce. Besides, Roserade is not bulky by any means; it has decent spdef but horrible physdef. Roselia is even worse, more so because the Shiny Stone can't be gotten until one progresses a long way into the game. So, in short, Roserade is only for the dedicated, and that too later in the game. As of now, Gulpin or Trubbish are better (and more easily replaceable) Poison types.
  23. He will, all right. Eventually. No one escapes this place alive; only Ghost types are immune to Shadow Tag's trapping effect, remember? Spine will muster up some backbone and humerus a bit with his presence.
  24. Superpower is a physical move. It's not special. But it's ASS in Torterra, because Fighting and Ground both almost hit the same things, and Torterra being a Ground Type will use EQ much better because: 1. It's STAB so it is 150 Base Power as opposed to Superpower's 120. 2. EQ doesn't lower your attack and defence, like superpower does. Am I plain now? That's what I meant with my talk about coverage. Anyway, Torterra uses Grass/Rock/Ground coverage well, and all of it physical. Slap on synthetis and have fun. And yeah, there's a lot more crazybshit to come.
  25. Oh dear, I seem to have tailed off a bit on this thread. Anyway, back to more discussion. Yes, a Pokémon's type can be revealed by their appearance kr colour scheme, but the opposite is also equally true. Goodra would indicate a water or poison typing, but it is neither. Many of the cute 600 BST pixies might be Fairy-ish, but only Diancie and now Magearna are indeed fairies (maybe that hoopla about Magearna being a modified Diancie wasn't all tripe, then). In any case, yes, this 'reveal' was rather disappointing. Looks like we have nothing to look forward to for another month, at least. Meanwhile, I'm just waiting for the region's professor. Since it's a tropical location, how about Professor Mango! A real fruity chap, who often goes bananas over hidden Pokemon legends, but a very sweet fellow really.
