"My princess, you have me
As your faithful servant alone
We are twins that destiny has played a cruel jest on
Even if the whole world tries to make you die
I'll be protecting you, even if it costs my life"- Kagamine Len from Servant of Evil
Spoiler
This is my favorite song from the Seven Deadly Sins series of Evillious Chronicles, and this song specifically focuses on the capital sin of 'Pride'. This song tells us about Len, who is a servant to the queen, Rin, and he is actually her twin, but she doesn't know this. Rin was given the task of queen at such an early age and she wasn't able to fulfill her role well due to her immaturity, thus the people have the idea of rebelling against her. Len takes on the whims of his sister, even if it meant doing the wrong things, such as killing the lover of the prince she liked and getting whatever she wanted for her. When the people rebel against her, he decides to pretend to be her and sacrifices his life for her sake. Rin realizes that what she had been doing was wrong, but still, it was too late since Len was dead. She instead wished that if they were to be born again, she hoped that they would be twins. I think this was all about pride since Rin had a high value of herself and she turned blind against the needs of her people while Len followed blindly because of his misguided love for his sister, even if he knew that her actions were wrong. I like the message of this song, its sad yet smooth melody, and the overall mood it gave me.[5/2/17]

In the 6th song in the series "Thousand Year Wiegenlied" we learn that Michaela was killed by Ney (the yellow haired assassin who is an agent of Prim, the queen of Marlon), and not Alexiel as was previously assumed from his comment in Servant of Evil.
Again, most of the events of the two songs are recontextualized in the expanded universe, which is at times annoying, as stuff like Riliane being possessed, and Alexiel not sacrificing Michaela himself changes their stories in major ways.
My personal favorites in the Story of Evil series are Daughter of Evil (there's a great cover by Enn) and Thousand Year Wiegenlied.

Well, the first 6 form a pretty good narrative standalone narrative, I've never been fond of the 5th one, Twiright Prank, but the other 5 are among my favorite Vocaloid songs. While the 8th and the ones after get a bit weird, starting to go into the past and telling the story of the parents of Riliane and Alexiel and require knowledge of the rest of the universe to understand properly and other sidestories that can get confusing.

"Those people cannot enjoy comfortably what God has given them because they see and covet what He has not given them. All of our discontents for what we want appear to me to spring from want of thankfulness for what we have." - Robinson Crusoe from the novel Robinson Crusoe
Robinson Crusoe was one of the first classics that I have read as a kid, and I found it to be a rather reflective novel due to the circumstances experienced by the main character and how he learns from his experiences. Robinson Crusoe was a man who wanted to escape his parent's wishes; he tried to escape by going out to sea, but he only experienced continuous failure with the ships he rode in. He eventually becomes shipwrecked on an island, alone, except for some animals who were with him. He tries to survive in the island, with the resources available to him. He realizes that he shouldn't have ran away from his parents without saying a word; he finds himself in the island. Later on, he encounters some cannibals, yet he doesn't strike at them because he knows that they do not know that what they were doing. He instead frees their prisoners, and he attains companionship with one whom he names 'Friday'. He is later able to leave the island when he gains control of a ship which had a divided crew. He leaves the mutineers in the island, but gives them insights on how he survived there. He later on goes on some journeys with Friday. Overall, I liked how it showed how a man survived in an island with no one to help him, and I liked how the story flowed with the introduction of Friday and the mutineers.

I've been listening to/watching covers, AMVs, and mashups. I really like how music shows and expresses motion; I'm glad I live in an age where music is free and true.

I find myself as the type of person who isn't fond of replaying games as much. I find that the first time around a game is always the best of all my playthroughs.
