  1. The thunder struck Cass and he raised his hands up to guard himself. "Akh-" Taking a step back from the initial shock, smell of burning flesh pulsated through his nose, pain settling in mere moments later, thrudging behind the swifter sensation, and a voice. A voice shouted his name. The situation had escalated quite quickly. So quickly Cass hadn't even noticed until the chaos settled in. They were completely and utterly surrounded. Sure, most of their enemies there were of his kind, but that only meant they could also revitalize the others. He turned to Idei. "Idei, relax, man!" Cass grunted through his teeth. He could see both Idei and his steed were in a state of disarray. If it went like that, there was no way any of them were getting anywhere. Belros fell victim to a charm... "Curses." Spitting to the side, Cass's grip tightened on his guitar as he looked up at Idei, placing a hand up to Kite to try and calm both of them down. "Oi, I'm here. I'm still here. We're all still here! So calm yerself down and think straight, dammit! We need to get ourselves out of here!" Move to D16, 'Play' for Idei
  2. @KosherKoneko I can't join right now, my focus is too all over the place I'd just hold the rp back! Sorry for the late reply!
  3. Herrman looked around in surprise. Someone called her name and it was none other than Marek. She felt blood rushing to her cheeks in an momentary fit of panic as she held the sleep staff close, squeezing her chest upon it. Her hair seemed to stand straight as she looked over at where the voice was coming from and seeing the situation, she quickly urged Bel on, picking her healing staff up instead. "I-I'm coming. Please hold on, Mr. Marek and...uhm...you Lady with Mr. Marek!" Move to J30, use 'Heal' on Elise
  4. Cass followed after Belros and Idei, ready with his guitar. If either of them croaked for some silly reason or another, then that'd be an idiocy he wouldn't agree to stand for. Especially not after being so lovingly carried to safety by Mr. Captain. Move to C18, use 'Play' on Bel and Idei
  5. Rob seemed to adjust in his seat before answering Emmanuel's question. "Yeah...uhm...well, you see, there's been talk of a new rebellion forming in #02. Someone new emerged outta nowhere and started gathering followers, not affiliated with the Pokelluminate preachings from what we've heard. This is all still small-scale but the higher ups worry it might turn into a new Incident. I worry too." "That's 'cause you're a wimp, you wimp." Betani was looking out the window. Framed in the scene, the malls have started to slowly grow thinner, shops far and few between, unlike the commercial district they were driving through just moments ago. Instead a much more peaceful scene revealed itself to the crew-the outer district, also very much known as the residential one. The houses were all still white and whatnot like the rest of the sterile Space Aether environment, but, unlike anything the crew had seen up until then, they were in fact houses and not tall buildings. All of them were also similar, and many had backyards. It was the suburbs. Rob continued driving across this new landscape. "We'll be there soon, guys." He exclaimed in a happy tone, and sure enough, soon the bus passed next to the first apartment building in a while. They'd entered the area reserved for Cadets, The Park of the Sword, where gladioluses grew in orderly lines between houses and buildings, blocks of white separated by greenery and vivid buddings. With the whole sky thing everywhere around them in the...well...skies, it was a scenery worthy of beholding. "I live in one of these." Betani remarked coldly. You soon arrive at an area where houses seem predominant. They're arranged in lanes to the side of the main road, each lane having a series of houses on each side. Rob continues. "You see, we don't actually have a house large enough for all of you to fit in because, well...we usually don't get this many Cadets succeeding in the same generation. So you were assigned a special house. It's a bit further down from all these other houses but it's bigger and should work for you for the time being." He smiles into the mirror for you to see and drives off to the end of the lane. [Next post will be you arriving at the house. That means this is the last rotation you can use to ask Rob and Betani any questions you want.]
  6. Mommo - Giant v Revenant The grenades the Revenant picked up with his magnetic abilities detonated the moment they were disturbed. Mommo wasn't taking any chances and as she heard the explosion, she fired her main cannon in its direction, bursting an energy blast towards the sound and hopefully Revenant himself. The blast itself was as wide as Giant and would easily blow off a chunk of Revenant if it hit. Aside from that, it also destroyed any obstacles in its wake as Mommo's artillery was a formidable one indeed. 2 grenades have missed - Mommo's special attack is ready
  7. Rob had to restrain himself from looking to the back of the car when he heard Kai's head bump into the floor quite forcefully. "A-a...Kai are you...ok..." He sighed a sigh of relief when Kai got up mere moments later, apparently unfazed by what'd happened. "I-I'm glad you like the Tyranitar. Apparently it's a popular Pokemon among kids. I guess people like big monsters, eh?" Betani shrugged Radovan off with a swift response. "Shut up or I'll shut you up." She, unlike Rob, sighed in annoyance at Shelly. "Yeah well I'm glad someone's finally figured it out." The girl crossed her hands. "Gina is just a horrible person and role model because all she's done in her life is she got spoonfed everything. I myself, am from #02. The slums, yes, I'm too young to have been from the Village itself while it was still standing. I was an orphan and you bet I had to work my hardest simply to get into the 2nd Academy and become a Cadet. That's how I came to be a Cadet. I graduated top of my generation. People like Gina disgust me because they never even had to try to succeed. She never went through the Cadet course, she only had to go through the exams to become both a Cadet and an Instructor.. I don't see the fairness here. But I also digress. I don't want to have to talk about Gina anymore. I don't care about her." Betani returned to being silent. By this time, the Empress's song had finally ended. Betani and Rob's tensions quelled with it as well. What was curious was that Betani took a deep breath as it ended, as if she'd been holding herself as it went on. Meanwhile Rob merely grinned, pulled a handkercheif out of his pocket and wiped his forehead with it. "Heh yeah........I went to see the Empress once and got my nose bashed in. The mobs gathering around her are scary, I tell you. But she herself seems nice, like she just wants to send a message out. Eh if the right people would listen, it'd all be easier." Betani shrugged at his remark. "Well, can you blame them? They're mostly folks from #02. You yourself are from #07, you can hardly know how difficult it is there. And getting a message across that promotes Pokemon and the fight against Space Aether must be refreshing to them. Second wind for the rebellion though, I'm sure of it." Rob flinches. "O-oh yeah I've been hearing stuff about #02 right now...something's stirring there."
  8. Orin Orin gave Assassin an irritated look. This wasn't being much fun for him now anymore, and his Servant suggesting such stupid things only made it worse. "We'll be safe if we exit the city, but do you think we can do it with my leg and your arm? If they get a clear view on us again we're gone. We can hide in the sewers or inside of an apartment building. I don't think they're targeting civilians. They waited until we were on an empty road." Orin spoke as he thrugged over to the nearby sewage shaft. He kneeled down to lift it open, throwing it on the side. He then gestured for Assassin to follow him as he tried his best not to slip up and drop all the way down the ladder. "Close it behind yourself." Lancer Klaren smiled happily and nodded with glee, his head swinging violently, hair flowing all over in waves. He opened wide. "Master I thought you'd never ask~" He mocked, picking his spear up. In the next instant, he has gone into spirit form and in the next, his presence was no longer there with Sophie. Sophie perhaps wasn't aware of how strong even the weakest Servants were. Klaren was gonna make sure she wouldn't be disappointed with him! /Can you hear me, Master~/ The playful voice fiddled in Sophie's mind. /I'll go scout the area closest to us first. Let me know if there's any special location you want me to look through or any nice sights in the city you'd want me to see~ I can't feel any presences yet~/ Klaren went on to primarily inspect the Commercial District, easily distracted as he was, though, his search soon turned into a festival of him fawning over every other building he came across. In the distance, he could see the Mall. "Uwaaa!" Klaren reappeared in a dark alley, away from all sights, peering over towards the building in the distance. "I-I'll have to ask Master to take me here tomorrow~!" A truck-load of self-control was needed for Klaren to not instantly run towards it with spear in hand. He restrained himself though, however unwillingly, a pout on his face, and went back to spirit form.
  9. Mommo - Giant v Revenant Mommo was caught off guard. She glanced at the screen left and right as the static exploded in her comm, covering the noise with even further noise. The voice she heard over the radio gave her goosebumps but she didn't back down yet. Holding the pendant in her hand she gripped the controls and laid a series of grenades in an arced but full circle at a large enough distance around herself so the blasts wouldn't penetrate her shieldings, ready to detonate at a moment's notice. The Revenant would hopefully be unaware of there scattered explosives as they were masked by the same curtain that masked Mommo as well, unless they had a sensor or something. On the other hand Mommo's own sensors were in disarray. She couldn't get a solid reading and could therefore not anticipate where her opponent would approach, hence the cornucopious wasting of a fair share of her clusters was needed. She waited though and readied all of her systems that weren't being blocked by Revenant's static. Her cannons fully loaded, rockets set and the main cannon lodged on the Giant's arm, she was ready to take the other head on.
  10. Mommo - Slumbering Giant v Revenant Mommo readied herself in the belly of the Giant, holding the pendant in a hand, pressed against her chest. He could think of only Aries who was waiting for her after this. She wanted to win for him, so she wouldn't need to feel bad when finally stepping in front of him, and that was a motivator enough for the girl at the moment. She saw the Rvenenant, they were going to be a dangerous opponent, but she felt she could do it so long as she kept her head focused, focused in her sleepiness. Like so many times before, she could do it. She could win. And so she silently began the battle. They were inside of what appeared to be a cave, with obstructing formations everywhere. As much as they disrupted her aiming, she was confident enough to shoot properly, and they were more going to disrupt her opponent if they opted for quick melee combat. --- Raising one of the mech's hands up, Mommo only took less than a moment to charge up an energe blast and shoot it in Revenant's direction, ignoring the stalagmites. The blast would burst right through them like a large bullet, and as soon as Revenant would move to avoid it in any direction, Mommo would fire an array of her rockets at him, enough that they wouldn't be stopped by any obstacles. Destroying the rock formation would also cause a veil od dust to settle like a screen over the area, allowing Mommo to take further necessary measures for keeping Revenant at bay, unbeknownst to him.
  11. Mommo Mommo was on her toes this time around. She spruced her knees up and down as she marched in place, looking totally different from her usual sleepy aloof self. After that talk with Aries, she felt different...she could hardly wait for her next match to come, and it reflected in her behaviour, because she remembered the promise he'd made her that they were going to finally meet in person after it. "I'm the Slumbering Giant, Mommo Mikuri." Her words were faster than the pace her mind usually processed them. She had no time to think, she needed this to be done with so she could fight! She thought this as she held her pillow to her chest, hands clenched in fists. To an unassuming spectator she would probably look like she needed to go to bathroom or something.
  12. Lancer "Right, sure, at the windows and doors!" Klaren nodded, tossing a pan over his shoulder before his face finally lit up with excitement. He victoriously grasped the bag of salt and held it up. "Yay we can get started now! Hope you have some paper and something to write with!" He asked the journalist. Once she gave him what he needed, he proceeded to draw some weird rune like symbols all over the paper. He held it up to Sophie. "We can draw these in salt where we need them and then poof stuff with happen and a forcefield with come up!...uhm, probably..." He gave her a sheepish grin, before letting his cape drop to the floor, leaving him in only his robes. Sophie would see a tome tied around his waist. He stretched and took the tome, flipping it open and holding a hand in front of himself as Sophie took the salt and drew sigils all over the floor in front of the windows and the door to the apartment. "Mhm, good!" Klaren nodded contently. "Now I can take it from here!" He held the hand up towards the windows and a brilliant light enveloped his figure, emanating from the tome. Warm and welcoming, of course, it felt like a pillow fight if Sophie came a bit closer. The sigils shone the same as he closed his eyes and soon, the imprinted themselves upon the surface entirely, leaving no trace of the salt behind. The windows themselves carved by the same wards, they gave a slight hue as the mysterious letters were burned into them. The same happened with the door. Upon completion, Klaren closed the tome, shrugged and turned to Sophie. "Now it probably worked. We won't know until someone tries to kill us, I suppose. If they don't, then it worked!"
  13. "O-oh right, Kai. Yeah Mum's gotta be feeling real great about herself right about now..." Rob scratches his chin and sighs but smiles. "Yeah I guess Bob's gotta be happy too. But I'd like it if he stopped being mad at Mum and me for failing the Cadet course. We expressed out worry but he didn't listen and now he's blaming us." Rob notices Kai standing up in the car and turns in panic. "H-hey Kai you gotta sit down, you can get hu-ag!" Turning the wheel, he barely escapes crashing right into another car while he was busy panicking over Kai. Wiping a droplet of sweat off his forehead, he keeps his eyes on the road, trembling somewhat. Betani seemed to be perfectly fine and only shot the man a sideways glance full of contempt. "I-I'm sorry everyone. But yes Kai please sit down you're giving me a heart attack!" He added in a panicked voice, holding a hand over his chest where his heart would've been. He then types something onto the screen on the car's interface and a holographic image pops up. "Do you mean this? It's a Tyranitar. Sounds like a cool toy to have." Rob smiles. On the other hand, Betani was quite silent. Until Radovan implied she might be jealous, at which point her cheeks flashed red, she unbuckled her seatbelt and turned in his seat, glaring daggers at him. "I. Am. Not. Jealous. Of. That. Despicable. Lousy. Woman." She uttered every word with utmost hate in her voice. For a moment she is frozen in that position, until Rob places a hand on her shoulder and she shakes her head. "Get off me." She pushes his hand off and sits back down, buckling up. She's silent for a second, but speaks again soon. "The prophecy is something about a wish maker. One that woke for seven days every thousand years to grant the sole wish of many. Apparently, by their calculations, we were at the thousandth year since the Cosmostrophe, which was, by this legend, also caused by the wish maker. But they were apparently wrong. And the legend was obviously fake, since nothing happened. All the ruckus was made by them and President Naether, not some stupid legend." Crossing her hands, Betani shuts down again. Rob takes over. "Yeah, what Betani said, pretty much. But it's a cult. They were probably gathered around some charismatic but delusional person who led them into believing this nonsense. Some say they the Pokelluminati even went as far as to perform genetic experiments on humans and Pokemon in order to influence the wish maker into wishing for world's destruction. But if you believe in something like that, then you also gotta believe in the god of creation who would most definitely prevent such a catastrophe from happening. I don't know what they were thinking, honestly and I have other worries. We all do. Pokelluminati are forgotten nowadays. Some people in drapes are seen from time to time but the officials arrest them immediately and they're mostly copycats that wanna undermine Space Aether's credibility by posing as Pokelluminati." As Rob speaks, the scenery slowly shifts as there are less and less tall business buildings and more apartment buildings. Additionally, you can see billboards posting holographic images of Empress Tsareena and her famous Tsareena. Lots of shops line the streets, from clothes to supermarkets.
  14. "Oh, Ka- Ka...Karla..right?" Rob grimaced an awkward smile as he looked over at Kai, who would've sat upin the front row if she wanted to easily converse with the man. "I remember you, s-sans your name, apparently. Bob's been good, I guess...he keeps shutting himself away from us, I mean...mostly me. Think he found a girl or something in the meantime. Not that I have confirmation... And yeah, Mum's been good too. Not like I see her or anything. I guess your mum has had more quality time with my Mum than I...BUT from what I know, she'd invented some miracle lotion for your skin, which now made her look younger than either Bob or me...feels kinda, weird, you know. She's both smaller and now looks younger than her sons." It was clear Rob didn't quite like this idea, from the way he was shuffling. "How's your mum's business going, btw?" He shook Radovan's hand in the process, through the opened window. Meanwhile Betani addressed Cathode. "That's actually quite fascinating." She said with wide eyes. She looked kind of shocked at this. "I can't believe someone would actually pick an old Ball from the trash and repair it." She added, still in shock, only to be shocked a bit more by what Radovan told her. "O-oh, it changed? They redecorated..? It all sounds really sketchy to me, though. It's like they're trying to sell as some sort of magic fortune tellers, spouting nonsense about that Abra being a reincarnated Alakazam and those damn panels. Uggh. They do have a lot, and I mean A LOT of important connections everywhere, so they're a valuable asset for gathering information. I heard they originated from #07." Turning to Frederick, she frowned, hands still crossed. She looked at him kind of contemptfully in that moment. "You've not heard the whole story countless times already? The Pokelluminati are an anti-Aether cult that started spreading rumors about the end of the world or something more than 20 years ago. It started innocent enough but later grew into a full-out war between them and the Space Aether. Apparently, they had a huge organised network working under the grid of the...well...Nexus Grid, and they had a bunch of Pokemon on their side. They used odd Balls completely different from Aether Ball, much like yours." She nodded towards Cathode. "Anyways, they tried breaking into the HQ in order to steal the Nexus Cores they claimed Space Aether had stolen and was using to control the world, in order to resurrect some really dumb legend from the old days that would bring ruin to the world and allow them to shape the world however they wished. Space Aether retaliated, led by President Naether, assaulting #02 where the Pokelluminati base was, which all culminated in a war which ravaged #02 and the huge Nexus collision nowadays known as the Incident. It is unknown how the Pokelluminati caused the collision. President Naether was shunned by the people of #02 for bringing ruin to their Nexus, but she had disappeared later during the collision, so their words fell on deaf ears. Without a President, Space Aether had to wait for Lady Haether to ascend as the foundation's head. She wasn't well received because of Naether's reputation, though. She mostly remains hidden from the public for that reason, especially now that this has happened." Betani shrugged. "Gina was part of the rebellion incited within the #02 populace during the war. She basically fought at the Pokelluminati's side against President Naether and Space Aether, along with her boyfriend, now her husband. She was a teenager back then. Talk about a problem from the start. And since you're wondering..." She looked at Shelly. "...Gina has no special skills someone else couldn't perform, I am sure of it. Yes, she's praised as a great Instructor and does a lot of work for helping #02 recuperate, but I still think for every good thing she has to offer, there are at least dozen more negative actions she takes. She has no control, most importantly, like a wildfire. Having an Explosive Pokemon such as Skuntank in her arsenal makes her a ticking time-bomb." The girl nodded and looked to Emmanuel. "She actually got invited to come work at Space Aether, from what I've heard. Despite being a rebel and a hothead, she still had everything she ever had handed to her for free. I...despise that." Betani turned her face to the side before climbing into the minibus on the seat next to Rob. Not moving her head, she continued. "Oh, and the Pokelluminati were never heard from again. Nobody knows what happened, but a lot of them were either killed or captured, now serving time in the Micro Grid, some in the asylums and others in prisons. No executives were caught, nor the Pokelluminati's mysterious leader, calling themselves the President just like the Space Aether's head. What cheek, really. I think they all disappeared for good, if you ask me." Rob gave her a concerned look before shrugging. He pushed a button and a bluish force field appeared, serving as the windows of the vehicle. "Minibuses and buses and stuff like that, like janitor trucks, goes on wheels, but I'm sure you know that. Regular cars can use magnetic tehnology to move if they so wish, but they still ruled this category to be too heavy and unsafe for such transport. I heard they're doing modifications to the City's base to allow for better and safer maneouvering which is supposed to allow this technology to be applied to wider vehicles as well. Guess they didn't really think of that while building this place, haha." He chuckled, driving the minibus onto the road. "We're headed for the outer layer of the city. As you probably know, this place is divided into districts, with the office area closest to Space Aether HQ, riddled with a lot of soothing parks and treeways where people can relax during their brakes. The layer further from that is the largest in the city, with malls and whatnots. It's where most of the city life happens, with lots of billboards and concert halls and everything. Sure, not as much as #07 but a lot. After that comes the suburbian area, where Space Aether rents out most of the accomodations to their younger Employees. It's a beautiful place which is mostly covered with nice greenery. No matter how artificial Aether City is, Space Aether has always tried the best to make it seem as alive and natural as possible. It's almost like what you'd call an Aether Paradise, wouldn't you say?" The minibus is moving. You're currently in the office district, you can see parks and tall building all around you. Almost like an odd urban forest mixed with real natural elements. It's beautiful in its own right. People in the streets are wearing white suits with either gold, pink, green or blue accents, such as ties and other accessories, or shirts under suits. They're all most likely accountants and the like, working for Space Aether, but they appear as happy as could be. Or would've had the #08 fiasco not happened and shook up the daily routine. Vehicles such as ambulances and the like are all rushing towards the HQ, some using flying vehicles you can see above yourselves through the translucent roof of the minibus. All are probably heading towards HQ to provide more medical assistance for the rescued ones. It's a chaotic scene in a usually bustling but orderly city. "Yeah, see, it's a big mess. I wish Lady Haether would make an announcement..." Rob muses, clicking on the radio to turn it on. A song pops up. Music: I am the one - by Empress Tsareena "Agg, not this one again..." Rob slumps his shoulders. Betani remains motionless. Btw, you'd better buckle.
  15. Herrman flinched at the sounds above and rocking of the boat. She looked at the wooden plank ceiling as she gripped her staff. "M-mr. Arthur! We must...c-cut this short!" Saying this short message and nodding to the armored man, she went to get Bel and position herself up on the deck of the ship. Herrman rode up towards the Archer, who was the first one she pinpointed, seeing as Mr. Marek would've been threatened by the man. She rose her Sleep Staff up high as a light emanated from it, enveloping the bowman in a lulling mist. Move to E28, cast 'Sleep' on Archer 1
  16. Orin Orin put everything back into his backpack and zipped it up. He looked at Assassin with a frown on his face. "I can move. But not far." He said as he got back up onto his limping foot. "Just tell me if you can use your arm. We can't go into a hospital. I can't pay for it and we can't afford to get caught. I also can't help you myself." So they probably tracked them using a special skill. Did this mean they could still track them? He didn't want to go back into the street to look if the ship was moving. They just had to hide somewhere. Maybe in a basement of one of the buildings here? Assassin could easily break in. Whoever attacked them didn't blow up any buildings though. Did this mean they were trying to keep the destruction to a minimum? Then why have a massive skyship with cannons..? He was no stranger to sights like ravaged streets though. He was expecting as much from this. Limping towards one of the nearby building entrances, Orin gestured for Assassin to follow. "Where do you suggest we hide?" He asked Debronee.
  17. Klaren holds his hands up in pure excitement once more. "Yay, thanks, Teri! I knew I could count on you! And you too, Lily! We'll go investigate later, so well, we've gotta wrap this up quick then!" Running up to the wall, Klaren holds his tome up and extends his hand, focusing the light towards the Wyvern Rider. "I bet Q would agree! Once we knock the riders down, we can just set the wyverns free!" Move to I1, equip Lightning, attack Wyvern Rider 2
  18. "Yeah, I think it'd be safer to pick Belros up. He's been taking a beating this whole time. Guy needs a break, though I doubt he'd take it. He's been actin' all kindsa weird." Cass shrugs as Idei rides him back to safety. Belros should follow them anyways. Looking over at the Captain from up at Kite's back, Cass grins. "Oi, ya feels like I'm bein' tossed around a bit. Feels kinda funny, aye?" He puts his guitar away and crosses his hands, waiting to get picked up and put back down off the horse or whatever.
  19. Running after Belros and Idei, Cass felt smirky over his performance. Tya, there'll be nothin' to worry about for the two of them now. Still, they didn't finish the knights off, so there was time for some more assistance. Move to D21, 'Play' for Idei and Bel
  20. "That's just my last name." Betani replies to Frederick as she shakes his hand. Promptly afterwards, her hands are crossed again on her chest. "Well, I don't know much about the Abravators. I'm honestly surprised you've already met them. From what I know, they're some secret society. I have no clue why they're allowed what with how the Pokelluminati escalated years ago, but well...they seem to be providing and keeping information for Space Aether. The most important people in the foundation are constantly in touch with them. They sort of creep me out though. I've been to their room once. The walls were pitch black, save for one tile, which depicted the sun and a bud growing from the soil. It was really odd. I hate that place." Discomfort was apparent in Betani's voice as she spoke of the Abravators. Turning to Cathode, she smiled for the first time. "Oh wow, is that not an Aether Ball?" She asked, noticing the Luxury ball in the girl's grasp. "I actually don't know if I'll be supervising you. We can always end up assigned to the same missions, though, with you as my backup, of course." She smirked and turned to Taylor. "Right, from what I know, the Vice Prez is the one you wanna talk to about Gina. He's been trying to get her fired for a while now, but kept getting veto'd by Lady Haether. I still don't know why she insists on keeping Gina and that husband of her's in the foundation. They were rebels 20 years ago even as mere children our age. I heard they fought against the Space Aether during the Incident in #02. If you ask me, both of them should begone." She finishes. Sena's comment catches her off guard and she glances at Nee who shrugs. Both of them blush and Betani holds a finger to her lips. "I...it's not that..." She shakes her head violently. "We should make our way to the Car. I bet whoever's driving us is waiting!" Rushing her step, she picks Nee up and guides you through the crowd and to the exit. Before they go out, she turns to Taylor. "You might want to call your Pokemon back. The Aether Balls are programmed not to function outside designated areas. The moment we exit the building's premises, your Pokemon will be called back automatically." She pulls her own Aether Ball out and calls Nee back. When everyone whose Pokemon were still out does the same, she nods and takes a step towards the door, which open... AETHER CITY Music: Urban Skies As you walk out, you first find yourselves on a circular platform around the HQ. Several bridges, more like just general walkways, but translucent, lead from this detached floating island to the City. As you walk over them, you marvel at the skies spreading just beneath your feet, feeling both amazed and scared at the same time. Betani ignores it completely, stepping queenly over the path. As you walk to the main street, you see a Space-Aether clean white, rather spacious and bus-ey looking car with the Foundation's insignia imprinted on the side. Out of it, someone waves at you and a chubby face pops out at the window. "Hoy, you must be the ones I talked to over the Comms earlier! The ones that messed AZ up, haha." The man chuckles. "S-sorry about that, though...it was my first time doing that. We were really in a pickle, with a shortage of staff, so they hired everyone to keep all the lines alive." "Yes yes we all know that, Rob. Now stop excusing yourself and do your job, ok. By the Star I have no idea why they had you take this job. Shouldn't you be doing maintenance?" The man, Rob, as Betani addressed him, starts aweating a little. "Uhm, well...you see, I don't really know what's going through everyone's heads up there..." He pointed at Space Aether's HQ. Looking at it from below makes you really notice just how huge the building is. It easily stretches all the way up to the barrier around the City. You bet the building is as tall as the whole City was long. "...but I think they had my Mum take care of everything...still, I guess they could've just hired someone who wasn't busy, but what do I know. I gotta listen to what they say." He shrugged and pulled his head back in. He presses a button on the car's control panel, which opens the door for you to enter. It's a regular looking small bus on the inside with 3 rows of 5 sitting spaces for you to occupy. "Come on in!" He calls you over.
  21. Klaren's face grew long as he slumped his shoulders and opened his palms in protest to Rosalyva's commentary. "B-but, I saw her and when I went out of the house to follow her she wasn't there anymore even for me so you not seeing her isn't surprising, Lily! A-and my head's a-ok. You don't know how many times it got cooked back at home while I was reading so I bet I'm like naturally resistant to heat!" He exclaimed. "A...we can go ask Teri! Hey Teri!!!" Klaren shouted, waving his hands up so that Terrin might notice him. "I saw a ghost but Lily doesn't believe me! Can you please tell her ghosts are real?"
  22. Lancer "You can have me scout out for whoever you'd like, Master~" Klaren raised his fist up and smiled. "Whooo, right~? But I think we might wanna like...lay low for now. You've got a nice place here, so I can help you set up some magickey barriers if you want. Like, I'm no expert or anything, but I guess we could tryyyyyyyyy!" He excitedly skittered over to the place he assumed was the kitchen and started looking for salt everywhere. "From what I know of your modern world..." He began as he rummaged the drawers and cupboards, throwing everything that wasn't salt over his shoulder, making a lot of noise as a result. "...salt is the one thing you absolutely need to have on you when making a super duper magic barrier, Master~ Am I right or what! But you...do you have any salt even? I can't find any..." Slumping his shoulders, Klaren turned to Sophie and made a sad-face. "I-If you give me salt and I sprinkle it on myself, I can go scout everyone for you! ...er, probably..."
  23. "Lily!" Klaren exclaimed excitedly and waved his hands up, greeting Rosalyva. "What a coincidence you'd use just that particular phrase, because, I know this will be shocking, but I think I've seen an actual ghost in this house!!!" He slapped his cheeks and opened his mouth and eyes wide. "I know, right!? She was this girl in an armor and she walked through the wall and she was see-through!" He held his hand up in front of his face, palm open so his face was covered in Rosa's vision. "Not solid like you and me! If I was like her you'd be able to see my face right now!"
  24. "Well, Nee and I have been together since forever, really." Betani addressed Cathode first. "She's my trustworthy compaion, are you not, Nee?" She looks to the Steenee, which happily nods her head and smiles. Betani places her softly back onto the floor, where she walks over to Jet the Meditite and waves her hand to him to greet him. "She's everything I have." On the contrary, when Emmanuel asked his question, she frowned and put her hands on her hips, raising her head commandingly. "That hag wanted to go get some Kalva or something, so she pushed me into a closet, locked it, and somehow, I don't know how, probably by paying to those weird Abramen or whatever to do it for her, got the whole mission listing rearranged so she could go instead and not seem out of place. Apparently, since the security was down and everyone was in a state of panic, she could get away with it easily. There are no records of me ever being assigned to your rescue. Since you asked about security, I might add that the whole system crashed when AZ ran a self-destruct sequence on his code. From what I know-which is not much since I've been stuck in a supply closet, they got him back online and the system is rebooting. Lone Star knows whatever all got stolen or messed with during the security blackout. I've heard rumors the Vice Prez fired a bunch of people when he saw the post-blackout analysis. I'm...honestly surprised you're still Cadets. The public too was quite distressed with the whole situation. A lot of common people got shafted into #08 during the emergence event. Now I guess things have calmed down a bit since mostly everyone was rescued. Mostly everyone, though. I bet Lady Haether will be a target of accussations for a long time from now, especially with her attitude." She shook Radovan's hand. "Well, I just know it, 'cause she yelled it out loud as she pushed me into the closet. Something like, 'Kalva, wait for me, I'm gonna change the mission arrangements to come save you'." She momentarily glanced at Taylor. "Let me register your A-Comm and I'll send the whole list of everything I've gathered so far to you. We can take her down together." Betani then looked at Kai and Shelly. "Address me how you see fit. The house is in the Space Aether's private suburb area, near the main park of Aether City, the one where they grow gladions. I guess there are places there where...fun happens..." She blushed a little a put a hand to her mouth. "Like, I've heard of some clubs...nothing too grand...but young people like them... UHM, BTW I live there too, since my home in #02 is no longer there. Usually they allow senior Cadets to work from their family home and not from the appointed Space Aether house, but you can choose to stay if you wish. They have flats for older ones, so I live in a flat in one of the buildings there." She finished, turning to Sena and...surprisingly, blushing as her eyes grew wide and mouth formed a huge 'o'. "Aaa, well....................I bet Sey's fine. I mean, Sey's the son. He's probably around here somewhere, ha...ha..." She glanced away as she smiled awkwardly. It was obvious she was hiding something. Nee stood there ignoring her, which was also indicative of an act. One could see a droplet of sweat form on her forehead. "The Cadet Master Shun is on a mission to #04. A lot of Gyarados have been sighted there as of late, endangering the beaches. Since he's a native of #04 and it's a mess that got out of hand for the local authorities, he was sent there while Sey stayed at HQ to act in his person. Then Sey disappeared. Both of them are powerful Water type users, so I bet Mr. Shun is all right. The Cadet Master wouldn't fall down to some wild Gyarados. The situation has probably been taken care of already, so he's probably...searching for his...son...ha...ha..........."
