The TV flickered to life. Or, more precisely, the two holographic projectors on the sides of the translutent screen flared to life and the form of a tanned woman they wouldn't recognize appeared before the crew, standing at a general human's height. She looked around at the crew in confusion before placing a fist to her mouth and clearing her throat. TUTORIAL "Hello, everyone, my name is Ray and I'm the main dispatcher and PR officer for the Space Aether Foudnation." The woman began in a chirpy voice that was hard to miss, and those who've heard it before would now recognize it as the voice of the woman that had helped them out when they were stranded in #08. "Of course, this is merely an automated message, but they used my likeness so...haha, it's like I'm here anyways." She moved much like a regular human would in the situation and even chuckled awkwarldy, fidgetting around in place. "O-of course I'm here to welcome you all to your new home and to teach you more about your A-Comm's functions. You must've spoken of them at your respective Academies already, but this will finally be the real deal! Are you ready?" The hologram waited a moment before nodding and continuing. She extended her hand and an A-Comm appeared in it. "This is my Aether Communicator. It is a Space Aether Employee's most important tool and companion, and I keep it on myself wherever I go so that I can connect to the respective Nexus's Net service and receive all the important news, work information and more! It is also my main storage, and it can store nearly unlimited amounts of data using the Core technology and compressing a miniscule Nexus within itself. You are all Cadets, so you will also use your Communicators for managing your Pokemon and reading important battle data through its interface. Managing your Pokemon is exactly what we'll be talking about today, and I'll be teaching you about Effort Points!" "Effort Points are a data value you gather through your adventure whether by defeating other Pokemon or meeting mission requirements. You can use them to enchance your Pokemon's abilities by downloading them into their Aether Chips, which will further allow them to grow and become stronger partners for you! Don't worry, because it doesn't hurt the Pokemon. It merely helps unlock their already existing natural potential. You can access the function by entering your Pokemon menu and choosing the Pokemon you would like to enchance. After that you need to choose a statistic from your offered ones to strengthen. You can choose from HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. Each is equally important but remember to think about your strategies to maximise your work potential!" As she explained, Ray's holographic projection also did the actions she described on her own A-Comm, its screen being projected behind her large enough for all of you too see it clearly. She used an example Whismur and added some Effort Points towards its Special Attack. As she did so, the displayed statistic rose a couple of points, signifying that the Pokemon had been strengthened. "Are there any questions?" She asked at the end, waiting eagerly as she put away the A-Comm. [NOTE:] >the Pokemon menu screen is basically identical to what you'd see in a Pokemon game like in your party; >everyone can now add Effort Points to their Pokemon's stats if they so wish by contacting me via Discord and specifying the amount of EP used and which stat it's being used on; >my next post will further the plot towards the next day and the next mission

Ranga felt her feet lose grip on reality as well as her mind going numb with infinite possibilities of something going wrong in Beverly's Eva...she would not have even noticed falling to her death had the Captain not caught her and held her safe. When she was back on the floor, feet trembling, she still first looked over at Unit 16 then at the Captain and everyone else that fell from the ceiling... wait what... Okay that wasn't unexpected with them already having crawled into the Doctor's office earlier...wouldn't have expected anything less from Kyou! Even as such, though...the Evas unnerved her. They'd moved to catch them. Had someone controlled them remotely? Regardless, Ranga pulled at the Captain's sleeve. "I'll go, I'll go too. I can hold Beverly so she won't fall again!" Her voice was frantic but there was a tone of determination in it as she shouted.

Mommo - Giant v Revenant All it took for the Revenant to attack was Mommo's taunt, and all it took for the girl to act was for the Revenant to start moving. The heartrate stabilizer, one thought of Ares, held her composure as the beast approached, echoing in her ears over and over, ever stronger as it drew near...and as the Revenant would pass above the grenade field set up by the Giant, the entire circle would explode simultaneously, launching clusters of destructive power upwards with enough force to gash through a moderately hard armor and more than enough potency to start causing the ceiling to collapse. Mommo took the stiffened controls in her hands. She couldn't see the enemy but she could still time their approach by their screech...by the grenades' explosions...but by the time the grenades would've exploded, possibly hindering the Revenant's approach, the cannon was already charged and ready as the girl smashed it into the ground below. In a moment of static silence cutting the banshee's roar, the ground beneath the Giant's feet exploded into an erupting shockwave that shook the entirety of the arena to its core, its epicenter Mommo herself and her determination. The shockwave spread outwards and upwards, pushing the Revenant and causing the rest of the weakened ceiling of the cavern to start collapsing on both mechs. If, even through this chaos, the Revenant still managed to reach her, he's find that breaking through Mommo would not be so easy, as the assault would be easily shaven off by the Slumbering one's defenses. Stopping the initial assault would leave Mommo with enough time whilst cutting the Revenant's berserk timer short. Even further, as this duel played out, Mommo escaping the first attack unscathed, the ceiling kept crashing down and within moments it'd become hard for even the Revenant to break through as the entire weight would be pressed against the both of them, possibly further slowing him down. Mommo didn't mind the weight. The Giant could bear it. But the Revenant couldn't last long and with all the obstacles in his way, would he manage to break through Mommo fast enough after she'd deflected his initial assault and therefore bought herself valuable time? Mommo also readied her escape system, positioning one arm to be able to fire a laser through the debris and build herself a retreat by using her mech's special ability. Using Giant's signature attack to crush the entirety of the arena down on the two. Using Armor six point bonus to nullify Revenant's attack on the Giant.

Ranga halted her breathing as she watched Beverly disappear into the insides of the entry plug and afterwards, the Eva as well. She bit her lower lip at the Captain's words and waited to see how Beverly would be able to use the Evangelion. If worst came to worst, she'd rush into one herself...

Ranga stayed quiet as she listened to the Captain. Saddened slightly by the way Satomi's dad treated them, she was more than willing to accept whatever courtesy the larger man had to offer as compensation, and his words revealed the fact he wasn't as willing as the scientist to let them into these robots. She was just about to say something in return to confirm she was going to pilot it when she heard Beverly's voice and looked up at the girl's face with widened eyes. "Y-you can't go alone, they said they needed both of us!" She protested, pulling at Beverly's sleeve. She gave up though and let it go as they led them towards the Evangelions. She really didn't want to pilot one. Maybe she could just let Beverly do it alone? Ranga split from Beverly and walked up to the Captain, pulling his sleeve to catch his attention. Looking down, she spoke up. "Will Beverly be okay if she goes alone? The red Evangelion will keep her safe, right?"

Ranga obediently followed the men all the way through to when they finally reached their destination, and her throat knotted at the sight of the Evas...like the one outside fighting that Angel... The appearance of Satomi's dad reassured her yet only momentarily as she saw his face that wasn't at the very least welcoming in this situation. The young girl nodded towards the Captain and smiled meekly at the mention of piloting the Evas. Not an expectant or happy smile, just a smile. Probably a shocked one. Beverly was the first to speak, addressing the matter at hand. Meanwhile Ranga glanced out through the windows at the Evas, catching the glimpse of a yellow one. She turned to the Captain quickly thereafter. What piloting the Eva meant would be to fight the Angel? "W-would we be able to help everyone outside if we piloted the, the...E...E..?" She uttered softly as he head dropped and her face reddened. Water gathered in the corners of her eyes but she kept the tears of fear at bay for now. Holding her hands together, she waited, yet she already knew the answer. Regardless of that, hope was the best quality of a child, and she still somehow hoped they'd tell her it wouldn't change anything so she wouldn't need to feel bad if she just ran off...

Ranga was shaken awake by the sudden intrusion of the armed personell. Her feet stopped swinging as she looked at the arriving people and frowned in worry. She couldn't guess why she was being asked to come...really she had no idea at all! And honestly, they scared her like a child should be scared when someone addressed them in such manner. Especially considering the scientist person didn't sound all that sure of what he was saying anyways... Satomi thankfully intervened, but to no avail, and Ranga stood up to walk over to the men. "Thank you and s-sorry...I guess we must go?" She turned to Beverly. She wouldn't budge unless the older girl came with her, though, so the soldiers would need to carry her out by force if they wanted to take her alone.

Ranga winced as the Doctor treated her bruises but she was otherwise thankful for the woman's help. She sat down to catch a breath and glance over the others in the room. There was so much chaos happening that she really wasn't sure what to make of it anymore. It was surreal and she even wondered if she was still in cryosleep, only something went bad and she was dreaming regardless of her supposed state. Having everyone around her reassured her at the very least and she couldn't be happier in a situation such as this with people with her. It would be much more difficult had she found herself winding up alone. The word Evangelion ringed in her ears, being the red giant that went to fight the Angel. She knew what they were but only from tales, like everyone else did, but she found it unnecessary to dwell on it too much as the Eva was on their side anyways. If anything they could be grateful to it too! Ranga hadn't noticed that she'd started smiling a wide cheeky smile as her feet, hanging from the chair, swayed up and down. She was probably being way too genki during this all, but it was ok.

Klaren happily followed after Terrin, keeping close to the mage in case he was needed, since he couldn't find anyone to target at the time~ Move to H4, hold

KAI Kai would find a flight of stairs next to the ones leading up, leading down into the rather spacious basement of the house. It seemed stripped clean of any furniture that might've been there previously though, so it was quite literally a large empty undeground room. However, it didn't feel cramed as there were several rectangular windows on the ceiling looking up at the backyard of the house, letting in the sun's rays. A door in the back of the basement led to a storage area that was also empty and smaller than the main basement room. Additionally, Kai would realize there was a remote control for the holographic TV in one of the in-wall storages situated inside the wall next to the TV.

Ranga kept close to the Doctor as the woman led them outside. She had imagined this moment for so many times just as so many others probably have as well, and now that it was finally here, she felt released. Even back on Earth, she'd hear stories from her family about what their grandparents have told them of the lost world...walking towards the opening hatch of the Ark, towards the light, she assumed that was what every day back in that time must have felt like for people whenever they would wake up. And she was right to feel excited. With the first step out of the ship, Ranga had to hold her hair down as a breeze ruffled it. Her dress caught on her legs and she chuckled. She couldn't quite look at the brightness yet, but what she could see taking shape before her was more than she could ever have hoped for. And so she had no qualms against following the Doctor, waving at all the people who greeted the woman, a happy smile on her face mirroring everyone's expressions. When they encountered the blue haired girl then, Ranga waved at her as well. Her smile quickly washed away, though, as did the images she imagined of her new life here, as the blue haired girl shook her head. Ranga turned in the direction where the girl was pointing-the Ark-wondering what she meant. The sky seemed awash with a bleaker hue all of a sudden, and the breeze carried an ominous undertone. Before she could think, the ground shook underneath her and she dropped to her knees. Wasting no time, she looked back to see the enourmous entity that had made itself apparent, its grotesque form dulling her expression. She couldn't feel fear, for there was a maelstrom within her. Ranga heard the word 'angel' through the blur and felt her feet hitting the ground as she ran with the others, holding Doctor's hand tightly to not lose grip to reality.

Ranga flinched again when the hatch was kicked open. She gripped the Doctor's hand tightly in a moment of panic, jumping to her feet, but reassured by the Doctor's presence. Relief washed over her when she noticed it was just Kyou, and she let out a sigh, smiling. "T-the noises just scared me. I didn't know it was you, Kyou." The young girl turned to Doctor Neumman again, looking up at the woman's face. "Thank you, Doctor." She shily exclaimed, letting go of the hand and walking over to check out the newly made hole in the wall. She bowed down and ran a finger across the sides in a child-like interest. "Wow, Beverly, you must be really strong, you kicked it so easily!" She exclaimed, sounding honestly surprised, as she turned to the older girl.

The group would soon realize their Aether Balls have been unlocked. They could call their Pokemon out in the Suburbs.

Ranga nodded to Satomi as the girl walked out. The beeping of her communicator caught her off guard since she wasn't really expecting the doctor to be using it to send them a message. She stared at the map and number blankly for a moment. The kind offer the doctor made both scared her but also reassured her. She nodded. "I'd like you to show me the way." She answered meekly and placed her communicator away. "Huh, what was that noise?" Looking to the back and the wall where the tapping was heard coming from, Ranga waited for the others in the room to take the initiative in finding out what it was.

Rob turned and smiled. "Well yeah. You're one unit from now on, like generations upon generations before you!" He gives everyone a wink before stopping next to what appears to be a house, yet is vastly different from the other houses you've seen on your way here. While all the houses were modern and by Space Aether design, this one still stood out as one of, if not the largest one in the area. It was situated at the very end of the Aether suburbian area, where there were far less houses around and not a single apartment building in sight. Rob gestures for you to open the door and get out of the car as he does so himself. Betani follows suit, ignoring you. "This one's special. Its owner bought it off from Space Aether and redecorated it for his growing family but he and his family passed away 20 years ago. Since then it was back to Space Aether's custody, but went unused. President Haether gave permission to use it herself, so no issues there. It's been dusted and everything to prepare for your coming. We've also arranged rooms for you, so feel free to seat yourselves. Oh, and your luggage will be arriving shortly from your Academy dorms." The chubby man gives you a smile and clasps his hands together. Betani walks forwards and places her hand into his pants' pocket without a second thought, pulling a key out while staring him down. Rob doesn't protest. Walking over to you slowly, the girl hands the key to Shelly. "You seem like the only sane one. Keep it safe." [Rob and Betani have left the scene] --------------------------------------------------------------- Entering the house, you're greeted with a spacious living room with loads of natural light flowing in through the large windows on the side. There's a blue L-shaped sofa large enough for all of you to sit on and a TV set with a holographic projector function. A sticky note is attached to the TV saying 'WATCH'. Next to it there are 3 docking points for your A-Comms and 3 desks equipped with interfaces for you to use and control the house, connect online, etc. Basically holographic computer screens which function as computers if you place your A-Comms to the docking points in the wall. A small plexiglas table is situated in the crevice of the L formed by the sofa, tidily placed on a red carpet. An open concept design leads towards the kitchen on the other side of the room. It appears a well equipped kitchen. A flight of stairs leads up as well to a hallway opening up into several rooms equipped with enough beds for all of you. There is a bathroom both on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. At the far side of the hallway with your bedrooms lay another flight of stairs, next to it a window door opening to a beautiful terrace. The flight of stairs leads to the uppermost floor which conists of a small rectangular room leading to the floor of the building, decorated with plexiglas pots and flowers. [NOTE: you can arrange your rooms as you please; there is not a set amount of rooms nor a set amount of beds in a room, so go wild; you have one week to arrange your rooms and DM me the list OoC; if you fail to deliver the list, I'll arrange you however I please~; you can continue RP'ing during this process] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [What will you do?] 1. Orin Orin needed some time to get down to the sewers, what with his foot not providing a proper enough support for him as he climbed down. He did eventually climb down, however, but also slumped down to the ground as well the moment his good foot touched the surface. The stench was something, but also quite bearable. He himself sometimes smelled bad too, so one got used to that after what seemed to be a lifetime of it. He nodded to Debronee. "I can move slowly. If you suggest we start moving immediately, we can do that. After a while, you'll carry me. We'll move south-east and get as far away as we can from the ship. They won't destroy the city only to get rid of us, I hope. At least not yet." The man sighed and pushed himself back up, starting to move in the aforementioned direction. ------------------------------------------------------------- Lancer Klaren reappeared by Sophie's side with a flicker of his robes. He stood like he was the most important person in the world, his chest puffed out and tall. "Luckily I haven't found anyone nearby, Master! The news is just lovely, it means we won't be dying tonight already, so we can go shopping first tomorrow!" The childish man clapped his hands together as a gleeful, carefree smile crept on his face. "We might run into some of our enemies as well during shopping. Then I'll just pike them or something and voila, we'll win~ Doesn't that sound great, Master~? Doesn't it!"

As soon as the doctor started talking, Ranga could see what was brewing behind her words. First Kyou mentioned her brother and now the doctor mentioned her whole family. Ranga couldn't help but look down. She'd been looking down more than anything else after waking up and she didn't like it, but also couldn't look at any of their faces for more than a couple seconds at a time for some reason. The younger girl flinched when Beverly started shouting. She looked up at the girl not in confusion, but in understanding. To an extent, of course. As much as she understood where Beverly was coming from, Ranga didn't approve of such behaviour. She was meek by nature and polite by upbringing. Mustering up what courage she had, she looked at the doctor. "I'd like to be a part of your program." Ranga replied. "I-if it'll help your study..."

Ranga grabbed the clothes and the communicator somberly, its purpose only accentuating the memories she didn't want to have bothering her. Changing into a light green and white summer dress that dropped to her knees and short boots, she followed the others in confusion as they were separated from Kyou and Ahmed. She didn't know what was happening so she nervously fidgeted in place, only sitting down as the others did and more so out of social obligation than anything else, as she didn't feel like imposing on anyone, not even the couch itself. The girl listened to the woman orderly before nodding. "Ranga Durian. A-and uhm..." She glanced at Beverly, putting a finger to her chin. "T-there were no rats..." Unsure if this comment was going to anger the older girl, she pulled her head back in expectations of it.

Ranga couldn't believe what Kyou was saying. Her eyes widened and her head dropped deeper, hair falling all over her face. She shook her head as she gripped the suit tighter than ever. When she brought her face back into view she bore a clumsy but convincing smile. "I-I don't know anyone by that name. My family was dead before the Ark embarked and I was frozen alone." From her tone it wasn't clear she was lying and her behaviour was persistent-a good facade only slightly shaken by her immediate reaction to the news. Kyou might've been related to her, though...her young cryofrozen mind couldn't quite comprehend what that meant. Kyou probably messed up the names though too. "A-anyways I apologize for staring. I didn't mean anything wrong." Giving a polite nod of her head, she smiled a bit more.

"P-pleasure to meet you all too!" Ranga yelped as the boy offered her a handshake. She did aceept it, though, if only after a short bit of deliberation. Speaking of, she kind of recalled seeing these two before at NERV's base. She never really talked to them or anything-she was younger, after all-but she knew she saw them. Ahmed and Satomi. Taking notice of Kyou's frown, she quivered in her pose and glanced away.

Ranga had smiled awkwardly at Beverly's comment, fidgeting with her fingers as she did so. It wasn't funny to make fun of people like that, but she also wouldn't protest against what someone else was doing. She looked at Kyou when she addressed her. "M-my name is Ranga Durian." She answered with a surprised face. She wasn't expecting them to start interacting while waiting for the doctor....so her face dropped down and she looked at her feet. "Nice to meet you all..."

Ranga - a cold morning for the girl A dreamless state, one devoid of even thought. A desire to breathe shook one silhuette awake, the chamber's door muffling the image through frozen glass. She shook as it opened and gasped for air the moment she could. How long has she slept? A scary thought, but a hope that she would be able to see his brother with some luck if they'd reached the planet soon enough. A silly one, of course. The realization came with every step she took, each with less vigor and perkiness than the last. She was probably alone here now, yet it was difficult fathoming that through the drowziness that still overcame her. The coldness was there, everpresent on the inside as it was on the outside after the sleep. She let the people lead her where she had to go-the doctor's. She didn't mind and couldn't protest regardless. The only thing she could do was hold the wrinkles on her suit as she throtted with the line of other sleepers. ------------------ Ranga jumped up when someone landed among them in front of the office. She glanced around at the people around her with some more clarity in her eyes before focusing on the greasy person, then at the girl commenting about rats. It confused her. "U-uhm...I don't think this is a rat, m-miss."

"..." Cass could see the fear in the horseman's eyes. None of them were ready for this trap nor for this situation to develop like this. The rest of their troops were already far off, what little they themselves could do was wait for help, yet he feared they could never endure the assault that was about to hit them. Giving the other a serious look, an expectant glance towards the outstreched arm and a quiver in his eye. Cass pushed Idei's hand away. As much as he wanted to escape together with the rider, he didn't feel it right. "Rescue..." Cass's eyes drifted to Belros. He was knocked down to the floor. The man could feel his teeth starting to grind against one another. Would Belros even want to be rescued in a situation like this? The spy was quite fervent in his attempt to stop everyone else from dying, including Cass himself. Then if he was awake, he'd definitely want Cass and the others to move. "...all right, but we'll be coming right for them. I couldn't leave this idiot behind even if I wanted to." The man gestured towards Belros then towards Helena and Madante. "You two don't die either, we'll get help!" He yelled out to them.

Mommo - Giant v Revenant Mommo's eyes widened in surprise. In a flicker of a sensation, the whole world seemed to stand still, coiling around her, entraping her in static. Yet she held onto the heartrate stabilizer-the pendant she'd received from Ares-all the same. Her years of drowziness were coming to an end and she had to see it through. Even as the pulse travelled through the Giant's circuits and she lost what little contact she had with the outside world through it, Mommo felt herself breathing slowly and deeply. Suppressing any and all panic from setting in as she focused on what was important. She wanted someone to just pat her behind the ear, like in good old days when no worries were on her mind. Such a future was within reach. Yet the Giant's reach grew stiff. The pulse had damaged her visual perception, broken down the fine aiming automatic controls, the Giant's legs left completely immobile and it dropped to its knees. Mommo waited though, despite her sight being taken now, despite the approaching and impending assault, the Giant held onto its cannon-its wishes. "Show me." -was all she muttered into the speaker.
