  1. [placeholder] I'm going to quote Homer Simpson here: "Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand". I'm also going to present some reasons behind one part of indifference in our society. I clarify that I do not endorse it, but I can understand it. People see what's happening around them. Some accept it and some others don't. There are some who are contempt with this situation, and others that despise it. Given the numerous scandals behind exploitation of the poor, people decide not to help, thinking that it is someone else (a syndicate) behind them being on the streets and asking for money (at least in my country), where the people begging aren't the ones who receive them and try to survive or buy necessities. Heck, some even do it as a job! They've been noted to fight over certain spots. Eg the beggar in front of the local supermarket makes 500€ a week (along with his two companions covering the block), and he's seen riding a car which a person with an everyday job can't afford. The child who is begging me for some money to get something to eat is gathering money for his parents or people who just keep him and tolerate him because he brings money (was Oliver Twist a British production?). A scenario like this has happened to me quite some times, because sometimes I give money. Here are two examples actually: a) Child begs for money to eat something. I go and buy him something to eat. He specifically asks it to be put in a box and leaves. Thanks me nonetheless, as he's still a child and (this is my optimist self speaking) understands that I know what's happening, so he sees that what I do is for him and shows gratitude. Child begs for money to eat something. I go to buy him something to eat. Spits at my shoe, curses me for not giving him money and leaves. This didn't register on an emotional level. I let him go away, but the incident is recorded in my memory for later use. Most people act by experience. They are not indifferent. Some are mostly hurt themselves and others are skeptical, because they know that anything similar is potentially exploited. Their conclusion is that helping hand-to-hand is neither actually contributing, nor certain of a good deed, as they might have just financed this situation to continue existing. I currently have no time to analyze the other forms mentioned.
  2. When I was little, my mother used to tell me: "Be nice or else". Back then I thought of it as punishment. Now I see it as cause and effect, but on a completely different spectrum. Be nice, or become a bad person. In a society where "bad people" thrive, the ways to tackle them are two. Become worse than them, or become a genuinely nice person. Thing is, once you go bad, you never go back, because you learn to think sly and act unethically. Is it nor ironic that being nice is th...

I personally think people just like to say "It isn't always black and white" without actually thinking about hings. If there is no black and white, there cannot be any grey areas either. Some things are black and white whether you like it or not. Yes, not all people can be classified as one extreme or the other, but there are plenty who are pretty blantantly bad people by standards of morality as well as people of the opposite spectrum. The struggle between those two extremes is w...

Yeah some people say it without thinking about things but I dont. Things arent always black and white, thats simply true. Ethics and morality change through time, todays black is tomorrows white and vice-versa. You dont have to pick one extreme or the other and being nice isn't always the path to be 'not a bad person'. Ive known some terribly antagonistic people who have done great good. Ive known some nice people who have done horrible things. Things arent always black and and wh...

  8. The issue is that canon games usually have you at E4 when you reach the 50s and 60s, so Reborn is currently struggling with dealing with the problem. Pancham is not an event pokemon. It's location opens after running up and down in the subway, in a similar way like Hypno's and Mawile's. The arguments are getting repetitive from both sides, and are working as subsequent counters. You may not see it, but it is there. The debate here is mostly on event pokemon. Please keep it there. For me, it is normal for wild ones to rise, as the story progresses, plus it helps with grinding.

  10. If Medicham learns all of the punches, you can get it as early as Apophyll beach. Hitmonchan is available when you reach Route 1
  11. In regards to Elekid and Magby, changing them to Electrabuzz and Magmar solves this problem, but goes against all those not wanting pre-evolved pokemon. Also to answer to Dobby, yes Tropius sucks, no Scrafty>>Hariyama, the Mismagius case is pretty much unresolved because it and Cofagrigus fill different roles, and yes I was surprized to see Drillbur in packs. I think I said that the event pokemon are generally better, having Galvantula, as opposed to all the electric ones already available, Sableye for obvious reasons, Rotom as well, etc I feel we're recycling arguments at this point, so.. [/thread] ?
  12. Do you mind mentioning some of them?
  13. Try not to groom. It's expensive, and the lady doesn't do a good job. Pokemon love food and battles.
  14. People who are keen on making bonds with their pokemon are the same who regard breeding a eugenics simulator, and as such, will not use it.
