then please explain why you think this was a focus on my loneliness. I'm looking at the positive side of being alone and I haven't felt depressed about it since Valentines (but that's a whole other demon) and still it seems like I'm doing it wrong. I've tried changing myself for the better while remaining myself for years now, focus on loneliness or not. I haven't gotten distracted from what's "truly" important and unless I completely forget myself I won't. For some, it may be a distraction. for me, it works like a passion or a goal to reach.

In my experience, thats the wrong approach. Finding love shouldn't be a passion or an ultimate goal which you constantly have in mind. I cant explain it very well, but if you are obsessed with romanticism, other people will begin to distance themselves from you. This attitude "I want to find love, someone please love me" works like Repel in the Pokemon world does. People subconsciously won't allow themselves to become too close to you anymore once they know that thats what you are after, even if they aren't aware of it themselves.
