  1. If one punch man was made into a videogame....could you actually play as Saitama? and would that mean you could kill every boss in, well, one punch? Wouldn't play as, say, Genos make it at least just a bit harder in that case?

      zimvader42

Yeah, that was kinda the problem I came upon when thinking about it xD

Unrelated, cool you gave a hat to every single eevee on your avatar lol

  2. Defeated a darkrai with an illumise in the single worst played random battle to ever be. I played bad, I mean. The illumise win was luck. Awesome, but luck.

  3. I googled it up to see what kind of rock formation a carbuncle was. Don't do it like that people. I'll leave it at this: if you google carbuncle, it apparently is what in my language is known as antrax. And it's gross. If you want to know the ACTUAL carbuncle the dessert witch is talking about, you need to google either carbink>bulbapedia entry>origin>carbuncle or directly look for "carbuncle gemstone" or "carbuncle mythology". It basically is a legendary creature who is said to have gems growing on it. So yeah, basically a diamond with ears
  4. Without going much into details, the what: Klefki is a key ring, and Carbink is a diamond with ears. The why: we needed a key ring and a diamond with ears. Both are still pretty weird tho.
  5. Weavile's japanese name is the same as that of Apu's wife in the simpsons bar a single letter. Huh.

  6. In that picture I can see: (Eternal flower) floette Rhyperior Golurk Steelix Salamence Lunatone Solrock Gyarados Talonflame Magnemite Bisharp Weavile Abomasnow Aggron Noivern Doublade and/or Honedge Mageton (shadow only, as it is covered by dust in the background) ??? (a weird shadow on the background that I'd say it might be either a hand or spikes, but I don't know for sure which pokemon is it). The rest of what's features there I'm pretty sure are human warriors wearing armors and blades. Regarding the poster itself: Going back on topic, zygarde's cell and core forms might be ancient
  7. How many rupees did it take for ace? were it 6000?

I don't know how to activate it though :/

I sent Vinny a PM asking for help, but until he replies I'm still a veteran

  8. It IS a pokemon with an incredibly HUGE potential for lore, and with the correct setting, stats and gimmick, it could even be actually strong in battle. However, due to only learning an attacking move whose type you get randomly in the game unless you know beforehand the IVs you have, unown is pretty much locked into being the single worst pokemon of all times. It can't boost its stats, it has only ONE move that isn't even that strong and has no STAB and can't be normal or fairy..... if unown was given better moves and better stats, it might not get disrespected, but after all the fuzz made a
  9. "If you run 6 unowns in your party spelling Arceus' name, their stats are doubled and they get multitype and judgment" I'm still waiting for the day this (or something less crazy but equally cool) happens with unown. I mean they should be able to learn some super rare moves or have some super cool mechanic to go with their lore. And yeah they probably are the most ancient things. They're like some sort of dimensional code scripters or some shit that build the laws of physics and whatnot.
  10. Hmm, jellyfishes huh? then that means that Frillish and Jellicent are pretty ancient too, as much or even more than Tentacool/Tentacruel, not only because they seem to be simpler and more water based (tentacruel has sharp and apparently hard features that might indicate it is a more evolved organism), but also because they're ghost types, meaning they could have been around for quite a loooooong time. Speaking of, you know what jellyfishes are made of? cells! and you know what pokemon is a cell? reuniclus! dunno about what the pokedex says about it, but being just a giant amoeba-like thing, i
  11. Normalize. Turns all moves to the normal type. Is there any kind of pokemon archetype with a certain moveset or stats, that could ever benefit from having it? anything besides of a skill swapping ghost...

    1. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Other than I'm pretty sure Normalize doesn't effect how Leech Seed or SPore moves work on Grass Type. I'm prett sure they are striaght imune to their effects not regarding the type.

    2. AuthorReborn

      AuthorReborn

I onow they're immune to Powder moves anyway, like Poison-Powder, technically a Poison move, doesn't work on Grass types. I can't speak on Leech Seed though.

  12. I've read somewhere that Torkoals are pretty ancient dudes, but then again, I think this age only takes up back to the early kingdoms of the pokemon world, not actual pre-human pokemon world. Pretty old tortoises tho. All alien pokemon are ancient as fuck as far as records go. Solrock, Lunatone, the Clefairy line, Beheeyem, Deoxys, and maybe even Starmies, these things came from space, and space is big, and if light takes years to travel from one place to the other, these living things that fell to the pokemon world can be assumed to have had been out there for quite a long, long time. Your Temmie profile pic is so freaking adorable! ~3~

  14. Oh electro swing, you're always there when I most need you <3

  15. No you don't, lickylicky is a respectable bulk-abuser with STAB explosion and iirc it can also use its special attack and some coverage moves it gets, as well as getting off a bulky heal bell to cure its team. It also only has one weakness. I like lickitung over it, but I respect lickylicky a lot. I nickname mine "whynature" as a joke, but I really really respect the mon. And with this I gooo offff....
  16. Gourgeist is supposed to be a, well, a gourd or pumpkin, and the head/body part with the pink hair and the curl on top, iirc, was supposed to be the representation of a candle with wax and a flame over it, as halloween pumpkins are usually lit with candles. The inspiration for the arms I have absolutely no idea where it comes from. Still for some reason, this thing is my fav pokemon lol. I sometimes question myself about why, but dunno, I just find it cute and appealing as a whole. But yeah, it is weird as fuck when you think about it.
  17. Somewhere in my room, there's an old hand watch that I used to wear ages ago. I never threw it away, but I accidentally put it wherever I put it....with the alarm function activated to trigger at 22:30 everyday. It has been doing this for over 3 years now, and I have never been able to find it in any of my drawers, not in my wardrobe, not between my books.... I have no idea where the damn thing is, despite I can clearly hear the alarm, every.single.day.

    1. zimvader42

      zimvader42

@Nhadala: incredibly enough, nope. There are times that I'm like "okay fucking watch, your time is today" and I start looking for it in my drawers, but I have never found it. The sound is close, but I don't know if it just fell behind my desk or in the space between the cupboard and the wall...no idea.

And the rest of you, this is not a story this is something that is happening for real send help pls

  18. Exeggutor is another weird motherfucker. A mandrake? a japanese legendary tree that grows faces? schizophrenia? who knows. I always liked this one picture tho, I think it represents a quite interesting way to see this mon:
  19. Lol, yeah, Barbaracle is a weird one indeed. For those who did not know, barbaracle is based off a real life animal, the barnacle, that, despite its appearance, is actually a crustacean, like Kingler, Crawdaunt, Crustle, Parasect and Clawitzer (at least, the equivalent of crustaceans in the pokemon world). Barnacles have an elongated solid base that sticks them to a rock, and a hard pointy "shell" within which the actual animal's body resides (which explains why they learn shell smash). They usually live in colonies of various individuals. That's why barbaracle is a lot of these things stuck t
  20. I haven't found any similar topic, even though I could have sworn there was one long ago o.o Anyways, over the years, gamefreak has given us quite a good share of amazing creatures called pokémon. Some are pretty normal-looking, to the point of being almost exactly the same as the real life inspiration they come from (see: raticate, herdier, ursaring, and so on). We've also gotten some human-looking pokémon (gardevoir and gallade, medicham, mr mime) and, well, lots of other things. But some of them are weird. Wether it is the real-life thing they take inspiration from, or their looks, or both
  21. I have a similar struggle to that of Generalguy: delphox or gardevoir, hmmm.... Anyways, I like Froiky's split for this, so unrealistic answer: Dragonair. Beautiful snake-dragon, able to fly you through the skies, and fuck stats, IRL this thing would be damn powerful. I mean, it can throw beams from its mouth, wrap itself around a tank and break it, we'd be unstoppable....although all I'd like to do with it really, would be spending my time peacefully somewhere calm. You don't need world domination when you have a dragonair. Realistic (sort of?) answer: furret. Very common, very regular mon,
  22. Rock'n'Roll Type: Rock Category: special PP: 10 (max.16) Power: 90 Accuracy: 100% "The user makes loud music with rocks for 3 turns. During that time, no one can fall asleep." A rock-type uproar. Thanks to the fact no other type is immune against rock, this move offers STAB 90bp damage that will last 3 turns unless interrupted. It is intended for a specific rock type of mine with a high special attack, but in the canon games I suppose Roggenrola and Lilligant could learn it, the first because it has it on its name, and the second because she's all about music (plus imagine this rock cov
  23. *lays in the floor and feels like garbage*
  24. People aren't freaking out about fur coat + 100 defense because having fur coat means you can't be taken down physically, but overheat, fire blast or any strong STAB move coming from a special fire type will be able to either OHKO or do severe damage, which can't hapoen with flash fire. Also, if you can burn the fur coat variant, it is easier to take down as long as it doesn't run recovery (as heal order, for example). An offensive one with flash fire can run super fang to halve the HP of every non-ghost target, get a 30% chance of flinch with iron head, high critical hit ratio with attack o
  25. That effectively leaves the mon with no weaknesses. And with 100-100-110 bulk, it's only a matter of it setting up a swords dance and then use x-scissor and iron head until everything in the opponent's team dies. A bit OP, could be said. Unless you carry a fire type with mold breaker and a strong fire blast, because otherwise... well you can always burn it, oh, except you can't! because flash fire also absorbs will-o-wisp to raise fire power....
