  1. To be fair to Saphira though, Team Meteor are definitely not willing to compromise or negotiate. They are going to try and complete their goals, (which will involve the deaths of many, potentially including Saphira's family) regardless of what people try to do to stop them. At that point Saphira makes a somewhat logical choice. If you let them go after defeating them, they are extremely likely to just continue with their plans. (Hence why we fight the same meteor grunts many times throughout the story) She sees killing members of Team Meteor as a necessity to stop them for good, on top of her personal and justified vendetta against Sigmund. I can't exactly disagree with her solution. If they are going to kill hundreds of thousands of people, killing them is justified, especially if it's the only way to stop them for good. I do agree that Saphira is too reckless for her own good though, and while her main motivation is to protect her family, every dead Meteor member is good for everybody else.
  2. So many Kongs with funny faces. What gives?

  3. Trying to base it on team composition alone, I think Charlotte is currently the hardest gym leader. If you don't have something that can specifically ruin her (Flash Fire, making a Pokemon with Earthquake faster than her Pokemon, etc), she's probably the most brutal gym leader. Weakest...? I'm going to probably going to have to say Radomus. His Pokemon can hit pretty hard, but his Pokemon are pretty slow, and since it's a double battle you can specifically target one Pokemon. That being said, he can become very dangerous should he get to pull off Trick Room. His field effect doesn't exactly buff him, but it can't blow up in his face like Noel's which gives him weaknesses to grass and fire (especially if you change his field effect into the burning field.) Trying to find the weakest Gym Leader is harder than finding the strongest one, as all of the Gym Leaders can be pretty dangerous. I'd buff a few of them, (Radomus, Noel, Serra, Luna, and Shelly are the Gym Leaders I'd really like to see buffed) but I feel that the difficulty is pretty good overall. (Not including Julia, because she is the first Gym Leader) True, true, but since Julia is the first Gym Leader, in a part of the game where your options are very limited excuses her weakness IMO, as making the first Gym Leader too dangerous when you are fairly limited option wise runs the risk of turning off potential newcomers.
  4. Doing a new playthrough, and I swear Fern's AI when he's your partner is the dumbest AI in the game. It would be in character for him though, as I'd imagine he'd intentionally pick useless moves just to spite the player.

His Budew uses Growth more than a Kakuna uses Harden. Victoria in Pyrous is worse tho.

  5. So I finally decided to download Mewtwo in Smash 4. He somehow feels even weaker than he was in Melee.

    1. Shanco

      Shanco

He's good but takes a LOT of practice.

    2. Pocky

      Pocky

What shanco said, I think his kill throw is up throw, if you need to know that btw.

  6. Fern has no redeeming qualities. Whether or not that changes remains to be seen in future episodes.
  7. I believe this thread is for Reborn specifically, and in Reborn, Froakie isn't very good for most of the game.
  8. But Greninja doesn't even get many good moves until very late into the game, due to there not being many useful TMs. Torchic is overall the best starter, due to it being very useful throughout the whole game, with Chimchar coming in second place IMO. I'd say Cyndaquil is the 3rd best fire starter, and one of the better starters overall due to the massive power spike Eruption can give it after getting the move re-learner's house key in the underground railway. (Before that point it's a pretty average fire type.)
  9. Unless you can find a download of Episode 12 or 13, you are locked out of previous areas until you beat Terra.
  10. I think that without the right Pokemon to stomp through their fights, that Charlotte and Samson are the strongest Gym Leaders. (Charlotte's biggest weakness IMO is Flash Fire, and Samson's is really fast hard hitting Pokemon that take advantage of his field effect) They just hit so damn hard that almost nothing is going to be able to survive more than one hit, and most of Charlotte's team is quite fast. Samson is easier because his team is overall meh speed wise, but he also just hits so hard that trying to tank him becomes useless. He's pretty weak to fast, hard hitting Pokemon though.
  11. I'm no veteran, (I do however have an uncle who used to be in the American military) but I'd highly recommend being passionate about joining the military should you decide to apply. It's a hefty commitment, especially for the pay that you would get. If you're doing it because you feel like you have to rather than wanting to, it may end up being even worse for you than the situation you are currently in.
  12. The next Fire Emblem game is split into two games... I guess there must be a ton of content in both games to warrant two games instead of a route-split in one.

  13. Quite true, but should you do that you miss out on some of the battles that Typhlosion is especially useful in, such as Noel and Radomus. EDIT: By miss out on, I don't mean you miss the battles, I just mean you don't have Typhlosion in some of the battles where it's at it's most useful.
  14. Cyndaquil becomes pretty amazing later on in the game. It's a slightly above average Fire Type early on, but once it gets Eruption via move tutor I'd say it becomes one of the best Fire Types in the game. (It's really fast, and hits ridiculously hard) Eruption demolishes a lot of the field effects, even turning a few of them into the burning field. (Making battles like Noel and Blake into cake walks) It's also quite useful for the Gym leaders that are double battles. I'd honestly say Typhlosion is the fire starter best at taking advantage of the field effects.
  15. Actually HGSS was released after Platinum. The third game trend seems to have stopped in Gen 5, with Black 2 and White 2 rather than the much speculated Gray version.
  16. Well, now that my daily heart attack is out of the way... I almost bought it for a second. Well played.
  17. I'd totally be willing to lend a hand in spriting, if I wasn't absolutely terrible at it. Should Gen 7 come out before Reborn finishes, you guys have your work cut out for you. (Those who would want to add Gen 7 Pokemon) Also, 42%! Progress is moving along nicely.
  18. You don't really think you're special, do you?

  19. You're just mad because I have better hair and more badges than you do.

You're just mad because Your Fern isn't riding a boat and mine is.

  20. I'm hoping for brand new titles. I like the mechanical changes and new Pokemon Gen 4 brought, but I really, really hate Sinnoh. The region doesn't click with me at all, and aside from Cyrus I'm not a fan of team Galactic. I also feel like Sinnoh has way more HMs then necessary (Rock Climb, Defog, etc), and needing almost all of them on you at all times in the late game is a massive turn off. I can't say for sure that I'd actually buy Sinnoh remakes, but then again I said the same about the Hoenn remakes as well. (Which I still insist Hoenn is either the 2nd worst or 3rd worst region.) Long story short, I hope Sinnoh never gets a remake, but when it inevitably does I hope it fixes everything wrong with that region. A few of the most important things that a new title could have I feel, would be bringing character customization back (having it only be a Kalos thing would be idiotic), giving difficulty options that are unlocked from the get go, and having minimal HM usage needed. I guess having the region not be a circle, design wise would be cool as well. EDIT: I totally forgot, I also want a substantial Post game. X and Y basically has nothing, and the post game for ORAS is pretty minimal as well.
  21. Do you mean Azurine Island? (We don't go to Azurine Lake) If so here you go:
  22. Tch, look at all of these wannabe copy cats. There's only one top dog, and you're looking right at him.
  23. My favorites... I actually have to stop and think a bit about that one, as aside from the second wild battle theme (even then, I'm indifferent to it) I really like the whole soundtrack. Favorites: Dark Crystal, Bright, Fluid, Peaks, Summit, Triumph, Majesty, Kindling, Findmuk, 7th Street, Mirror Ball, Both Generic Trainer Battle themes, Countdown, Dramatic Battle, and Waves. (By the way, I do know the actual title of most of the Glitchxcity tracks, I'm just saying what the game calls them so those who aren't familiar with their actual titles know what I'm talking about.)
  24. Just like a plant, the Fern army will keep on growing!

  25. Regirock is actually my favorite tanky Pokemon, even though I know it's not very good. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of it though, even in OU with this set right here: Regirock: Nature: Careful EVs: 216 HP, 172 Attack, and 120 Special Defense Moves: Drain Punch, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Thunder Wave. Item: Weakness Policy
