  1. So it just occurred to me that the Wii U has a youtube app. So now that completely eliminates my main annoyance with PC gaming as I like to watch youtube videos while I play games. How did this never occur to me before?

Nintendo isn't the best at marketing the Wii U's features.

Apparently you haven't tried it yet, it's completley broken. But if you use the Wii U's web browser and watch Youtube videos there instead, it works just fine. How do you screw that up, Nintendo?

  2. Gamefreak gives you free reign to make 3 changes to any single Pokemon during development of the next main series Pokemon game. However, you can only make any of these changes: 1: Give a Pokemon a move that you can justify for making sense (you can make all three of your changes this). 2: Give a Pokemon an ability that makes sense (You can only do this once) , and 3: give any one of the base stats of the Pokemon a 10 point boost (You can only do this one once as well). What would you do? I'll start off. My Pokemon alteration of choice would be Typhlosion. My 3 changes: 1: Give Typhlosion Earth Power. It's the Volcano Pokemon, and it not knowing Earth Power is kind of ridiculous when fellow Volcano Pokemon Entei knows Earth Power. 2: Give Typhlosion Discharge. This one may seem like a bit of an odd choice, but Typhlosion has always had a somewhat random affinity for electric type moves with it learning Wild Charge and Thunderpunch. 3: Give Typhlosion a 10 point boost to speed. It differentiates it more from Charizard, and it's helpful to it's main niche of spamming Eruption.
  3. Pokemon Ruby was my first Pokemon game. I have no nostalgia for it, Hoenn is my second least favorite region with Sinnoh being the only region I dislike more than Hoenn. Hoenn introduced some really cool Pokemon though.
  4. Hoothoot is actually quite a useful early game Pokemon. Its special attack isn't anything special, but getting Uproar at level 13 is pretty bonkers. Shooting off 135 base power attacks (STAB included) before you even get the first badge is quite useful, although until it becomes a Noctowl it's hindered by a base special attack of 36, and when you combine that with tinted lens, you get a hard hitting Pokemon that doesn't worry about resistances and can contribute for a good chunk of the game before Pokemon with superior offensive stats get better moves. Not to mention Hypnosis and Reflect support which can come in handy in many instances.
  5. One of the coolest things I find about each new episode is replaying the game and seeing how much the earlier parts of the game have been improved/changed. The game feels quite a bit more refined from when I first played it back when episode 12 was the newest release, so I'm actually kinda hyped to start all over again and see what's new. This relationship value system is making me believe we might have a few more dialogue choices than before, but then again that's just idle speculation.
  6. Yeah, I'd assume the minimum and maximum would vary by character as some get a lot more screen time than others. I do find it a bit funny (in a good way) that Fern has one of the highest max relationship values so far.
  7. The new weather system sounds cool, I'm really looking forward to that. I'm assuming going through the Opal Ward after a weeks time in the system clock won't change the weather cycle any more? Relationship values are a thing. I'm not really to concerned about them, but seeing what they do later on will be pretty neat, whether it effects story dialogue or side quests.
  8. Ekans/Arbok are actually pretty good in the early game, and I would have never given them a second thought before. Also the fact that you can find level 43 Donphan and Beartic in Citrine mountain means that you get 2 pokemon that are quite easy to put into your team and get to work immediately, you just gotta use a repel (if you're mid level 30s they will be the only things that show up if you use repels), and some common candies so that they don't disobey you.
  9. Even after a year I still sometimes mistake the status bar for the search bar lmao.

  10. Brr... It's too cold for me to get any motivation to leave the house today.

  11. Liking these restored Reborn themes, it'll be nice to hear those in game. The uplifting mood will be a pleasant change of pace after hearing the more down and foreboding tracks for a good twenty something hours in a playthrough. (The ruined Reborn city themes are quite good as well, but this'll bring a feeling of progress.)
  12. Unless it's for video games or netflix, I don't touch TVs.
  13. Hmmmm... I do hate Garchomp, more because I found it so annoying when I was younger and that grudge has carried over to modern times. Aside from that I'm completely indifferent to most Pokemon that aren't my favorites.
  14. Warm weather. I absolutely despise heaving to wear big winter coats for nearly half the year to not risk injury just from being outside. Bleh.
  15. My most recent run took like 26 hours. It surprised me how fast I blasted through the game without even really trying to, as past runs have taken up to a month, granted I was quite sick and couldn't leave the house for long at the time so all I really had to do was play games.
  16. I just slept for 12 hours. That's a first.

I don't know how you guys manage...

If I sleep for more than 7 hours, I feel that I lost the day.

      Unless sick or smth~

  17. Badge #4 get! Barely scraped by Elliot.

  18. Badge #3 get! Card update issues though lol.

  19. Ten years? Wow, that is a long time. Can't say I'm the most active or involved person here (I do like this place quite a bit), but I certainly do hope that this place has many more years to come.
  20. I'd think in a world where you have access to monsters with all sorts of powers and abilities weapons development would be heavily stunted.
  21. I wasn't talking about Ike. Ike definitely has the better recovery. I just don't think that Mac's poor options outweigh Cloud's air speed and second jump height, especially since Mac has awful air speed. Not that base Cloud's recovery is good, it's pretty terrible,
  22. I wouldn't say that. I mean it's really bad, but at least Cloud has a pretty high second jump and good air speed, neither of which Little Mac can claim to have.
  23. Cloud feels so smooth, for somebody who uses such a massive sword I thought he'd be more sluggish. His main weaknesses are his lack of good throw follow ups and bad normal recovery. I'm absolutely in love with his Up-Air, and that 3 of his aerials auto cancel from a short hop. (B-Air, Up-Air, and N-Air) I'd say he's upper B tier or very low A tier. I've found myself a new main. Cloud's recovery only snaps to the ledge in limit mode, otherwise he hangs in the air for a moment.
