  1. Hmmmm... Just from the Pokemon you have available to you, I'd suggest: Manectric, Seismitoad (If it has Water Absorb or Swift Swim), Sawsbuck, Medicham, Zebstrika, and Mismagius. Valerie is pretty strong. If you it were possible to go back to the mainland at this point, I'd suggest picking up Pichu because Nasty Plot Raichu made the fight much more manageable for me. (I just had to wait until Politoed's rain went away and Lanturn was down, otherwise Raichu got OHKO'd by Politoed and couldn't take down Lanturn) If your Medicham knows Acupressure and you get really desperate you could resort to cheesing Valerie if you have the patience to try until you get the right boosts.
  2. It's located in the grass in Marianette's mansion. It seems to be the rarest encounter there. Now then, another entry Stoutland: Tier: B+ Pros: +Available right after the first gym. +Good stats all around, with an impressive attack stat, decent speed, and good overall bulk. Only real lacking stat is special attack, which is doesn't need. +Joins the party at a very solid level 18 and only needs one level to evolve and get going. Second evolution is also pretty early at level 32. +Has a good movepool, many of its useful moves come early, such as Take Down, Baby Doll Eyes, Work Up (Starts with), Crunch (Comes at level 24), Facade (immediately after Marianette's gym) and the elemental fangs (Move tutor). +Has the bulk to set up Work Up on a good chunk of opponents. +Has a fantastic ability in Intimidate, and Scrappy is also very useful against Narcissa as Crunch is weaker in her gym. +Intimidate and Baby Doll Eyes allow Stoutland to cripple any physical threat. Did I mention that Baby Doll Eyes has +1 priority? Cons: -Fighting weakness makes Stoutland struggle to be useful against in the first Keta fight (Stountland can very easily set up on Hitmontop by spamming Baby Doll Eyes and then Work Up for a quick sweep in the second Keta battle, if Hawlucha has been dealt with) and in all of the Aelita fights for anything other than a quick Intimidate + Baby Doll Eyes combo. -Take Down isn't the most reliable move, with having both recoil and a shaky 85% accuracy, and it's only other good STAB option is Facade with only 70 power before STAB unless it's hit with a burn, poison, or paralysis. -Should you want the coverage that the elemental fangs provide, you have to rely on heart scales. Note: All of my experience with this game is on intense mode, so my rankings are based on that.
  3. Oh right, it's Valentines day today. Completely forgot about that lmao.

  4. They've really dropped the ball on that. Like holy crap, North America has had their release date for months now. For Birthright? Absolutely. I wouldn't say that's the case for Conquest. Conquest end game gets really ridiculous and just in general has pretty well put together maps. And while it isn't present on all modes, on Conquest Lunatic all enemies have set skills unlike the random ones in Awakening, and some of the skill sets are really nasty or just annoying to deal with. Minor Conquest Lunatic strategy spoiler:
  5. I feel kinda goofy just now realizing that wild Lunatones can be holding Moonstones. It's really obvious isn't it?

  6. 1: Typhlosion: Why?: Eruption is controlled AOE that doesn't hit allies. If there is no PP zombies will die like flies. Can be used to cook. 2: Feraligatr: Why? Surf. If this is L4D zombies, they all die in the water so it would be useful. I'm a sound swimmer myself, but a water type Pokemon would be much better. Can also put out fires Typhlosion causes. 3: Alakazam: Why?: Telekinetic powers throws zombies away, and dual screens if needed to keep them at bay. Also Teleport would be broken. 4: Braviary: Why?: Strong flying type. Easy getaways if needed. 5: Nidoking: Why?: Earthquakes to ruin the zombies paths. Would make a nice combination with Braviary. 6: Tropius: Why?: Can get fruit in a pinch, and is also a flier.
  7. Pangoro: Rank: B- or C+ +Obtainable via Sheridan help center quest before the 2nd gym +Counts as a traded Pokemon, the extra exp boost it gets helps make raising an entire team a bit easier +Very high attack +Decent bulk, usually enough to never get OHKO'd by non super effective moves +Has two fantastic abilities in Scrappy and Iron Fist. (Recommend to get Scrappy for the early game, and change it to Iron Fist once it gets Hammer Arm) +Very useful against Narcissa +Utterly dominates Ren +Has an ok movepool, some notable moves include: Body Slam, Work Up, Parting Shot, Crunch, Hammer Arm, and Poison Sweep +Has a good offensive type combination -Very slow -Its movepool, while being ok is quite lacking until later in the game. Unless you give it the early heart scale move tutor to get Hammer Arm (which other Pokemon on a players team may make better use of), its best fighting type STAB is a choice between Arm Thrust, Karate Chop, and Stacking shot until you can start mining heart scales -Completely useless in all of the Aelita fights -Faces stiff competition from Medicham and Hitmonlee (Blaziken and Infernape too, I guess) as all three of them come quite early in the game, with Medicham coming slightly earlier, and Hitmonlee a bit later, and the only real things Pangoro has over them is slightly better overall bulk (Hitmonlee has better special bulk though) and boosted exp from trading
  8. Just beat Rejuvenation's current release, and had a blast. I might just end up playing through it again just to kill some time before Fire Emblem Fates' English release lol.

  9. Wow, the restored Peridot ward looks so pretty. Great job!
  10. I hate to sound like I'm bragging, but even though I have a long ways to go until I reach my ideal weight I am quite proud of how my abilities have progressed since I started intensively working out again mid November.

That's a lot of running. I'm told doing both cardio and weights is more effective than either one alone. The cardio gets the energy flowing freely and then you direct it all to lifting weights.

  11. Welp, my uni application was accepted and I'm officially starting this fall. That gives me enough time to reach my fitness goal, and hopefully it's enough time to get my sleep schedule back on track because it is soooooooo busted that it's like I'm not even living in the real world.

  12. Came across a shiny Zigzagoon in Ruby when I was a child. Killed it because it was just a Zigzagoon and didn't realize what a shiny was. The first shiny I ever actually caught was a shiny Krabby in Fire Red.
  13. Hmmm... I'd recommend Noctowl because of it's special bulk, and the fact that it can use hypnosis to put Crobat to sleep and let your other team members put it down, but that's kind of RNG reliant. Grabbing an Espurr for light screen would help as well. Manectric is a much better electric type than Luxio and gets discharge at level 30, so that would help a lot against Corey's Crobat. (You can find it in an event at the Obsidia ward back alley at night). I'd definitely recommend grabbing a common candy for your Quilava. And my final suggestion, but it would be very time consuming is to grind the game corner to get Facade for your Diggersby. It completely destroys Corey's team leaving the rest of your Pokemon open to take down Crobat. I'd recommend benching Slurpuff permanently, and Leavanny for this fight.
  14. I'm terrible at naming things, so I usually just use the default name for the Pokemon.
  15. I'd blame Hitori Omou (The Japanese version of Azura's song) being the Japanese artist Renka's debut single for this. The licensing issues this could very possibly have caused would make giving the English version dual audio cost way more than it's worth or be outright impossible. I'd give this a read for a better explanation: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=525009
  16. You may not realize this, since Fates by far has had the most attention before localization out of any Fire Emblem game, but things have always changed considerably to appeal to the western audiences in localized Fire Emblem games. Marth in Shadow Dragon is one of the biggest examples of this. In the Japanese version Marth is a pretty childish, very naive and teamwork centric hero who desperately wants to get through fights without sacrifices. In the North American version of Shadow Dragon, after the prologue Marth is a stronger, more confident lead character who understands that sacrifices have to be made to achieve victory. It's always happened, I just am interested in seeing what they do with Soleil, as they also edited a character in Radiant Dawn named Kyza who's only character trait was wanting Ranulf to love him because he was an offensive homosexual stereotype just like Soleil is.
  17. Played through all three of the versions in Japanese, and I'm looking forward to playing Conquest and Revelation again in English. Completely on the fence if I ever want to visit Birthright again, as it was by far my least favorite version. (I found it's cast of characters to be the least interesting, and it's by far and away the easiest version of the game) I'm completely neutral about the removal of skinship, as the feature always rubbed me the wrong way simply because Fates is a SRPG and I felt being able to do it immediately after dark story moments kind of shattered immersion, but some people wanted it so it's a shame for them. It wasn't as horrible as tumblr made it out to be, Soleil was actually quite pleased with the results and Corrin wasn't trying to change her sexuality. The problem for a lot of people who understood that this wasn't an attempt at gay conversion was that Corrin slipped a substance into Soleil's drink without Soleil knowing. Anyways, I'm quite interested to see what they've done with Soleil in the North American release, as she was a really one dimensional character in the Japanese release who was found to be quite offensive.
  18. It's 9:00 in the morning and I still haven't gone to sleep. If this isn't a poor decision, I don't know what is.

I did get some sleep and yet... I still read '9;00 in the morning' as '$9 in the morning'.

I think I might need more sleep...

  19. My desktop is usually much, much more of a mess, but I did a bit of a clean up recently. See that folder labelled stuff? That's where I throw everything when my desktop gets too cluttered. It has thousands of images, files, and folders. It's really not optimal, but it works.
  20. Eh, Titania murdering the Team Meteor members in the sewers never really bothered me. Team Meteor is filled with people who are ok with killing everybody to get their own world, so why should they deserve mercy? Good guys don't always have to be nice. Granted, I don't want to player to be able to just kill any old grunt because that would push the game into being super edgy. (And deprive us of EXP) I completely agree about Titania's diary and I'm glad that it's gonna be changed.
  21. I'd argue that Mightyena falls off rather quickly. It is stuck with Bite as its best attacking move until level 44, and at that point almost any offensively inclined evolved Pokemon will outdo it. However it is a pretty solid investment up until you beat Corey. It's useless against Shelly because it's a pure dark type in a bug type gym, and then the game introduces many dark types that are much better than Mightyena immediately before/after Shelly (Murkrow, Houndour, Carvanha, Zorua, and Nuzleaf), so it finds itself going from useful to completely outclassed in an instant. For a good early game heavy hitter, I'd recommend Stoutland. Lillipup comes one level away from Evolution, has powerful moves (Takedown and a possible elemental fang at base, with it getting Crunch at level 24), the ability intimidate cripples physical attackers without having to do anything, and quite good stats. I would not recommend it for the whole game though as you do get better Pokemon later on. Blaziken is obviously the best starter, but Charmander makes for a good early game juggernaut with Dragon Rage, and Typhlosion has a pretty ridiculous late game with Eruption spam, not to mention Eruption can change many field effects to its favor or just outright removes them.
  22. Just started Pokemon Rejuvenation. Things are looking promising.

  23. It rained yesterday so now there's ice all over the place. Getting around is gonna be fun... Also I'm still awake from yesterday.

  24. Hmmmm... Perhaps we'll be able to find Fletchling in the rebuilt city? It'll have a bad time against Hardy, Saphira, and Amaria, while only really having the potential to be useful against Titania and Adreinn, so it's not like it'd even be particularly useful. Personally, I'd like to finally resolve the Gyarados quest.
