  1. So you confront what is possibly the most morbidly ambiguous entity in the game, and you want it to become darker than that? Shade is the exception, not the rule. He's a special case who is exempt from the normal setting of the game. It's not about being "dark and edgy" for the sake of being dark and edgy. There's a reason why Reborn is messed up, and there's also a reason why the game has uplifting moments. You, the player, are trying to stop Team Meteor and repair the region. Do you want the game to become "darker" by seeing Team Meteor blow up buildings? Slaughter people on the streets? That would indicate that the player's efforts are failing, which defeats the point of the game in the first place. You're asking for things that this game simply will not deliver. Because if it DID deliver on those things, then it would be a bad game.
  2. Wait, did no one notice this gravestone before now? It's been there for YEARS.
  3. Mudkip was an event Pokémon in the Byxbysion Wasteland. As of Episode 15, it was replaced with Squirtle.
  4. Nah, it'll be a Solaris single battle immediately followed by a Lin single battle. With no heal in between the fights.
  5. I always pictured her sounding kinda like a cross between Rarity from MLP and Pearl from Steven Universe. Ritzy and cultured, but with the potential for severe silliness.
  6. Aw, but Hakai Kousen Hyper Beam spam makes it so easy!
  7. One of the main objectives in Reborn is to do away with all of the aspects that make it a crumbling metropolis and restore the city to its former glory. In other words, the goal is to make the city LESS dark as you progress. It might get a little darker as we approach Team Meteor's endgame, but for the most part, the condition of the Reborn region will be improving. Saying "I want the game to get darker" goes against one of the most basic premises of the game.
  8. Oh man, I loved it. Seeing Julia and Florinia again gave it a nice reunion-y feel, and their interactions with Blake and Fern were great. What I loved most, however, was clearing the Water Treatment Center. Purifying the water and seeing all the rooms filled with pristine, blue pools made me feel like I had just accomplished something wonderful. Finally, for the first time since our journey began, we will be able to gaze upon Azurine Lake in its natural, beautiful state.
  9. Each one of my Pokémon is my ace. Of course.

    Using Dive

This information is given to you whenever you complete the most current episode. Most areas before Agate City that require an HM will not be accessible until you would normally be able to reach them canonically (i.e. when you return to Reborn City in Episode 16).
  11. The "first city" is the primary location in the region, where most of the action happens. I think it's kind of refreshing to see a city in a game that's about the size of, well... an actual city.
  12. Well, you don't "have" to do any of those things. I beat Ciel with a team of Level 67 'mons, and I don't use Shift or any healing items at all. It's definitely not implausible. "Lance out their strategies?" I'm afraid I don't understand this phrasing.
  13. For Mega Altaria, I think that both the DD Sweeper and Mixed Attacker sets have their own merits. I figured that my Blissey could eat up all of Altaria's special attacks, but NOPE IT HAS EARTHQUAKE. You mean Heather?
  14. "i need a download link 4 e12" "Sure thing, friend, here you go!" "2 slow gime something faster" It's 500 MB, buddy. It's not exactly like downloading a song. Also, it might behoove you to be a little more polite when making a request. Saying "gimme" doesn't exactly encourage people to help you out, y'know?
  15. Set. Why should I be given the one-sided ability to pre-emptively switch into a counterpick for my opponent's upcoming Pokémon? How is that fair for the opponent at all?
  16. GOD KILLER the Blissey was able to successfully Toxic-stall the Togekiss. Even at +6, Air Slash was only doing around 25% to Blissey, which left me free to go for Soft-boiled every other turn (when I wasn't getting paraflinched). As a bonus, it also made Ciel use up all her Hyper Potions. My Archeops (appropriately named "DIVEKICK") was a monster in this battle. It outsped her Archeops and Talonflame (although not Noivern, weirdly enough), and OHKO'd them all with Rock Slide. Noivern probably would've lived if it had gone for Boomburst or a STAB move instead of Heat Wave, though, because Heat Wave did a little under half. Gliscor came in and finished off DIVEKICK, so I went into Dead Machamp (Cofagrigus) and used Curse. Gliscor hit me with a contact move (instead of Earthquake for some reason), so it started taking poison damage on top of Curse damage. Finally, in came the Altaria. Sky Williams (Diggersby) could probably OHKO it with an Earthquake, but it wouldn't be able to outspeed or survive a Hyper Voice. So I switched back into GOD KILLER, took the Hyper Voice like a champ, then doubled into Kiora Atua (Gyarados) for the Intimidate while taking nothing from the Earthquake. I went back into GOD KILLER, ate up another Hyper Voice, then survived the Earthquake in order to set up a Light Screen. I foddered off Blissey for a free switch into Sky Williams, lived the Hyper Voice thanks to the Light Screen, and then "WHAMMO! OVER 9000!!!!" OHKO'd the Altaria with Earthquake.
  17. I certainly wouldn't mind this, although it might make the characters' IRL counterparts a little uncomfortable. Except Cain
  18. As long as it's platonic stuff, I wouldn't mind, either~! Because they're kiiiiiiinda underage...
  19. THAT'S THE ENTIRE POINT. If you want to use field effects to your advantage, you have to adapt your strategy to them. Do you really expect to make Gym Battles against preset AI algorithms as difficult as winning a VGC tournament? Here's a protip: Winning a VGC tournament is hard because of the players you face. These players are just as good as you, if not better. They are capable of far more than any computer. Furthermore, a VGC tournament has an entire metagame, rather than a predetermined team of six Pokémon. You have to create a team that performs optimally in that metagame, or else you get stomped by someone who's using a team with a favorable matchup against yours. Anyway, the whole "get rid of all the non-Reborn City areas" thing is dumb. I certainly wouldn't want to spend my entire gameplay experience within Reborn City. It's not just a city; it's an entire region. Confining the player to a single area throughout an entire adventure in a game where exploration is one of the primary focuses just sounds like poor judgment. "Now... I have to compare it to omicron because, that's how you know you're doing things write or wrong, right?" What the heck? Are you claiming that Omicron is the poster child, the SHINING EXAMPLE of fanmade Pokémon games that everyone should follow? Because Omicron is mediocre at best. "don't get me started on how stupid Terra the booty is. I get the jokes but they could have went with regular jokes, not uuf0000 m8 u wot fit me thing. Went from serious story telling to trolling there" You realize that the characters in this game are based on people in an online league, right? Terra exists in this game because she exists in the IRL Reborn League. Honestly, there are just so many things wrong with your argument that I can't possibly encapsulate them all in a single reply.

    Male Villains

Oh man, I can't wait to encounter Lin again. I wanna learn more about her. It's just males admitting that they, as a gender/biological sex/whatever, have shortcomings. That's hardly a generalization to get offended by.
  21. Before gen 6, Hidden Power's maximum base power was 80. As of X & Y, it's been set to 60.
