If that's the case, maybe they're of Japanese descent. I'd just give 'em a random bug-related surname like "Kuwagata" or something.

The problem with shofu's team is that each of its members is ill-suited to face Charlotte. None of them have the bulk and typing to tank field-boosted moves, and none of them are fast enough to outspeed and OHKO any of her Pokémon.

Flame Charge + Fire Spin and Psyshock + Psybeam are redundant. You only need one of each, but I don't know why your Delphox doesn't have Mystical Fire. Skuntank doesn't need both Toxic and Poison Gas. I personally don't like accuracy/evasion moves, either. Again, Panpour doesn't need two attacks of the same type. Get rid of Water Gun for something. I sincerely hope that Trick-or-Treat and Worry Seed will be replaced with better moves later on. As it stands, your Pumpkaboo only has two actual moves. Pyroar actually doesn't seem too bad, although I'd replace Headbutt with another special move. Get rid of Fire Fang for Flamethrower as soon as you can. Piloswine also doesn't seem bad.

Yeah, man. She incorporates it into her team, and even leads with it so she can switch freely to avoid shenanigans. ...Oh yeah, and being all types would also make it naturally immune to poison, paralysis, burn, powder-based moves, and trapping.

My final boss battle thing would look something like this. Arceus is awakened. The person who awakens it uses all 17 Plates to form a new hold item, called the Plate Matrix. When held by Arceus, the Plate Matrix converts it to its Deity Forme, which grants it absurd stat boosts and allows it to assume every Pokémon type simultaneously. This would give it an immunity to Normal, Ghost, Electric, Ground, Psychic, Dragon, Fighting, and Poison. ...Then you have to defeat it.

Well, if Ame says that this is gonna be a short episode, then I'm inclined to believe that it mostly just involves descending down the Celestinine Cascade, entering the Water Treatment Center (which might be the location of Meteor's remaining base), rescuing Amaria and Titania, and getting one or both of their badges. It seems like a fairly short path to traverse, especially when compared to something like Tourmaline Desert or the remainder of Ametrine Mountain.

I did the same thing with the Growlithe I got. I named it Crowley (after Officer Jacob Crowley, the policeman who died during the Beryl Ward attacks).

If the story ever ends up involving Celebi, it would probably be used by Team Meteor to travel back in time to seed their influences into the past and guarantee that Reborn becomes the decrepit dystopia that we're all familiar with. Gosh I love time loops. (This isn't happening, though.)
