  1. Iirc, the shiny rate in regular games is around 8/65k while Reborn has it at around 700/65k. So yeah, about 1%.
  2. Yeah, most likely. Typhlosion has next to nothing movepool-wise.
  3. Wait a minute, Vinny's back? Welcome back man
  4. Yep, as has been stated, you need to go back to pre-E13 to do that. The guide Blasterman linked (thanks for the advertisement ) explains how that stuff works. Go through that and if you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to send me a PM. Or if you don't wanna do that, just, uh...skip Gengar then. It's level-up movepool is so bad it's nigh worthless if you don't go back. Though the guide does say how to get both Sludge Bomb and T-bolt onto Gengar.
  5. Lookin' good, nice team you've got here. HP Ice on anything is actually really good to have, Ice is a great offensive typing. Change it's ability though, with it's high speed, Blaze can come in handy much more since tge AI wouldn't mess up and use a resisted move on you that frequently. For Gardevoir, Charge Beam and Trick Roo.are botg valid options, it just depends on the situation. Both are TMs,so don't worry abbout that. Give Lucario E-Speed instead of BP. Even with STAB, BP is weaker and your other 2 moves cover everything ESpeed doesn't, unlike BP since Steel is resisted by quite a few types. Change Mamoswine's Strength for either Body Slam (the high para chance is great for support and for IC's high flinch chance) or Curse. I'll have to disagree with the above, I've used both and Special Crobat>Physical Crobat. But grab a new one with HP Ground or Fighting since only Rock and Steel resist both of your STABs and Dark is almost useless coverage. You'll also never flinch with that speed, so give it Infiltrator too.
  6. Actually, Pranster just +1s the priority of any status move, so Trick Room goes from -7 to -6 priority. Aaaaand Whimsicott sucks, but you can sash it and go with that? Cradily, Lilligant, Gourgeist, Gogoat, Roserade, Rotom-Mow and whatever starter are IMO the best you can get in Reborn. Especially that Cradily since it counters all but 2 weaknesses of Grass. Regarding moves and what-not, I'd go for: Cradily, Storm Drain, Sassy; Stockpile, Infestation, Toxic(Skrelp>(anything in Water 3 and Water 1)>Lileep), Ancient Power/Rock Slide(Tirtouga) Lilligant, Own Tempo, Modest; Sleep Powder, HP Rock, Petal Dance, Quiver Dance. Gourgeist, Frisk, Impish; Will-o-Wisp (Yamask), Protect (Yamask), Leech Seed, Phantom Force Gogoat, Sap Sipper, Adamant; Bulk Up, Earthquake, Horn Leech, Aerial Ace Roserade, Technician, Timid/Modest; Hidden Power, Sludge Bomb, Extrasensory, Giga Drain (check the pinned guide in this section to see the chain for both SB and ES) Rotom-Mow, Levitate, Modest; Leaf Storm, Discharge, Hex, Pain Split/Hidden Power. For Gourgeist and Roserade, you'd have to go back to pre-E13 for some moves. Check the pinned guide in this section for details on that as well as an E12 link should you need that.
  7. And after 3 weeks, I finally have internet again. I'm alive again!

  8. I'm out of PRCL. I'll be out of internet for the nextmonth or so. Sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it.

DD, will you be subbing for Etesian then?

      ~~JK, you will be missed~~

  9. For Shelly, the main thing is items, so go to the O.Department Store and stack up on some Guard Specs and Persim Berries since she loves stat-decreasing moves and Confuse Ray.
  10. You can get a Vespiquen. If you want to get one, female Combee are waaaay easier to find (like 66% chance) if you have a male Pokemon with Cute Charm lead (so Igglybuff/Cleffa/Skitty). Vespiquen wrecks Fern and Florinia (well, baring Breloom) and also is quite useful against the Taka+Zel double-battle and has Gust for Corey's field.
  11. You need it waaaaaay later in the game for an Absol event.
  12. And if it's not, use the search feature
  13. Hope you will have a hell of a time here! Loving that Avi btw. Welp, since you say you know what's up, that's all I have to say? Welp, have fun~
  14. Welcome back! Hope you enjoy your stay. If you have any sort of questions about breeding for IVs/moves/what-have-you, check out the pinned guide in the Team Showcase section. Or just send me a PM, I kinda run the place. Once you've sorta got a final team in mind, you can also make a topic there and be given advice about it and what-not. To see what's new since you were here, you can check out the pinned topics in the On The Hunt section.

That's the main and almost only use for Shards currently in the game, the other 2 being Ability Capsules and the pathetic 1-2 shards for Circus games you'd only play once anyways. Considering you'd have about 50-60 of each if you found all of them in the game by that point + mining, the current prices are just fine.

Don't bother with HP Fire, super-effective HP Fire is still weaker than Surf. The only reason people ever run HP Fire on it in comp is because of Scizor and Ferrothorn because they're so frequent- which is definitely not the case in Reborn. Gunk Shot is about the same, don't bother. As for Scald vs Surf, Surf IMO. Greninja is so frail, you're more likely than not going to get only one chance to burn, might as well go for that 1/8th extra power. Go max Speed and Sp.A EVs. Get that Arcanine then. Agility, Outrage, CC and Flare Blitz are it's best set in-game, with Intimidate, max Attack and Health EVs and Adamant. The reason I'm saying max Health EVs and Agility over E-Speed is that you'll be outspeeding everything anyways after an Agility, might as well invest in HP to make setting one up easier, y'know? Except for the EVs and nature, I don't know why it wouldn't be performing well, mine did a ton of work. Oh well, grab a Lilligant. There's not much for me to explain about it. Own Tempo with Modest/Calm, Max Special Attack and Health EVs, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, HP Rock and Sleep Powder. And maybe a Wide Lens from wild Yanma to help with the accuracy of Sleep Powder, but you'll likely be SP-ing at the start: if you miss, just F12 and try again. I'm really starting to think you're setting up on all the wrong foes, but oh well. Get a Starpator (with Endeavor), an Archeops (with EQ from pre-E13) or a Honchkrow (with Tailwind) if you want a bird. If you want a Poison-type, get Drapion (with SD and Dig from pre-E13 and a Scope Lens) or Nidoking (T-bolt and Ice Beam from pre-E13). They're all rather self-explanatory, I put anything that wouldn't be obvious in (). It likely won't be a loooong time until we can actually mega-evolve stuff, so stick with Megahorn. Actually, both are level-up moves, just Heart-Scale them when needed. Then grab a Malamar or Reuniclus. Run Trick Room on Reuniclus, but not for team support, but because it's bulky and strong enough to last all 5 turns in it without that hindering your team (though stuff with base 80 Speed definitely would like some speed support.)
  17. Not right now. If you've already fought and beaten gym #2, the next 2 gyms are bad match-ups for it, then one is okay, then 1 is bad for it. You can start now, but I'd recommend waiting a bit, especially since you can get Sticky Web if you don't evolve Sewaddle until level 31. Also, don't bother with IVs. At level 100, they're an extra 31 point in a stat at most. At level 20, 2 points.
  18. Noctowl is actually quite useful against gym #3. Afterwards....not so much, but at least as a temporary member, I'd keep it.
  19. Check the pinned Location Guide and EV Training Guide topics in this section for this kinda stuff: it's in Chrysolia Forest, 5%, any time.
  20. For early game? Don't even bother with Espurr, Simple Woobat has it beat in all regards. Also have him grab a Sentret early game, Furret is actually really good early and even gets Sucker Punch for Shade. Arbok is also really good early. ...and that's all I've got. You said you want simpler stuff, no breeding and what-not, and this is for early-game, so besides that^^ stuff, I'm utterly useless here
  21. Hotline Miami, you're really not making it easy for me to like your sequel.

I haven't heard much about the bugs to be honest. And yea some people really really hate the levels where they change up the formula completely in a crazy way. Other people however enjoy them immensely. Personally, I haven't really played either so there isn't much I can personally say, but I have heard a lot of good reviews etc... so that would be the first time I heard any of this. ((not saying your wrong lol, but first time I heard it lol.))

They're nothing really game breaking, just really annoying when they happen. It sucks to be almost done with a level, do everything right, but still have to re-do the whole thing because a dog messed up your attack's timing because it had to stop charging to do a 360, Then maul you.

I'm fine with them changing things up, it makes you play those levels a little differently, so you don't feel like you're doing the same thing over and over (chances are you won't beca...

...use of all the different masks/characters).

It's just the level-design that kills it a at times. Look up the Demolition level, you have a very open area, 2 random enemies with melee weapon, then a melee-guy vulnerable only to gunfire and the only gun is held by a guy right next to that melee-prof guy who Will shoot you as you approach.

  22. I didn't write that properly, both happen in-battle. The item in question both times was Chinese Food.
  23. Btw, there's some bugs with items. Using an item on a fainted Pokemon says "*your character's name* used *item name*, but it had no effect". And in-battle, if you select a Potion, and back out at the screen where you're asked who to use it on, it does the same. And holy Haunter, that thing in Venam's gym is ridiculous.
