  1. Oh Sniper Rifle, how I've missed you and your absurd burst damage.

Currently I'm just using an off-the-shelf Ophidian Sniper Rifle, but I was more referring to the class of weapons than a specific one

  2. Rayguns are the worst. I'm going back to my Sniper Rifle

  3. I'm 100% sure I've posted this before but I don't care

  4. So, Halloween is over. but I'm stuck in Halloween mode because I changed my name mid-October. #welp

  5. Eva Eva nodded, "Hi! Eva!" she said happily. She swiped her chakram through the air in front of her, causing an arc of orange to appear momentarily before vanishing into several puffs of flame. She could start a fire easily, but currently she didn't have anything to burn.
  6. Eva With her healing duties done, Eva had intended to switch to a defensive state. But before she could do so, she heard a request for fire. She switched over to the fire element and approached the man making the request. "Hi." She held up her hand, an orange ring glowing in her grasp. She hoped this would sufficiently demonstrate that she could at the very least set something alight. Eva uses Element Switch (Fire) and offers assistance to Harry. 26/26 HP. 2/7 Elemental Load (Fire). 2 Moves.
  7. Rodin The barkeep chuckled. "These ain't got nothin' to do with your power, I just thought you might like snakes." He explained, "These babies were forged using the soul of demon by the name of Lamia. Nasty little lady; had a habit of swallowin' kids whole. They'll do their job nicely in the arena." He handed the second knife to Terumi. "There's an empty place at the corner, previous owner got axed, put your name on the door and its yours. In the morning, head south, back towards the welcome platform, and ask around for Ashuri. Tell her Rodin sent you and she'll set you up with a job." Terumi acquires a new Shot. Saki Saki wasn't sure why Suguri didn't recognize her, but she didn't have time to dwell on it. "We'll talk about it later." She smiled reassuringly. Her next line was spoken to the entire room. "Rooms are free for newbies on their first two nights, after that you need to pay if you haven't found a place of your own. It's two people to a room, I've got a lot of space but the less you take up the better. Tomorrow's breakfast and dinner are included." She paused for half a breath to break up her spiel, "As for how you can pay, we trade in crystal coins called prysma. The green coins are one prysma, the blues five prysma, reds ten, and purples fifty. You can earn them by working for a shopkeep, selling goods at a shop of your own, working as a gatherer in the eastern fields and selling materials to shops, or... betting on matches. You should have ten red prysms hidden somewhere on your person, Abyss in all of her sadistic kindness gives them to newbies without telling them." Saki smiled again once her explanation was complete. (OOC: For clarity, the currency is prysma and the individual coins are prysms.) Mokou Much like a ninja, Mokou silently slipped out of the building while everyone was distracted by Saki. No one noticed her leave, she was simply there one moment and gone the next. She had completed her task of delivering the newcomers to Saki's, there was no reason for her to remain.
  8. Key question. What exactly will happen to the ace forum itself? There's a lot of stuff in there that I doubt people want public but there's also content that I'm sure people would miss were it simply deleted.
  9. Saki Before Sakuya could answer, a girl came through the far door carrying another plate of cookies. She had yellow hair tied back in a short ponytail, wore a long yellow coat with jeans and tennis shoes, and seemed quite pleased with herself. She immediately noticed the growing crowd in her B&B and smiled at them. "Welcome to Saki's Bed and Bakery. I'm Saki, I run the place." She set the plate down on a nearby table. "Hello Mokou, welcome back Sakuya, and nice to meet y-" She froze as she looked at one of the newcomers. "S-Suguri? Suguri is that really you?" Suguri SP Suguri's eyes narrowed. "How do you know my name?" She asked. She had never seen this yellow-clad girl before, at least as far as she knew. Yet Saki seemed so certain in her recognition. Although Suguri didn't know Saki, it was very clear that Saki knew her. And thus, Suguri wanted to know how.
  10. TFW you find a game's combat boring so you just kind of skip the fights but then you're massively underleveled for a mandatory bossfight.

This is what I get for playing on hard mode in a story-driven game.

May I ask what game your are referring to? (I'm kind of bored as of late, so I wanna know.)

  11. No, I don't want to get in trouble for being transphobic again Anyways, the short of it is a severe disconnect between the physical sex of the body and the way one perceives oneself that causes one to attempt to change one's physical appearance so that others perceive one as one perceives oneself. EDIT: ...Bleh, screw it, have a proper unambiguous real answer. Regardless of how we want to feel about it, the human brain functions differently between the sexes. While there are always exceptions, there are general traits and functions that can be attributed one way or the other. For transgender people, their brains function a good bit more like the sex opposite their own. (Note: Or presumably somewhere sufficiently detached from either sex for non-binary people, although I'm not aware of any studies into the matter.) This leads to a sense of wrongness or dysphoria. In an attempt to alleviate this, some will attempt to change their bodies (or at least outward appearance) so that they are outwardly perceived as the sex that they feel they are. For some the important thing is how others see them while for others it's more important how they feel about themselves. And of course that's a scale, not an either/or.
  12. Eva After taking a moment to assess the situation and sort out who needed her help, Eva tossed out two orbs of pulsing green Wave energy towards the injured. Since she had decent lines of sight for both of them, she was simply able to throw the pair of balls directly at their targets. Eva uses two Ball Shots (Wave) to heal Ador and Frigus for 1d4+DEX[6] each. 26/26 HP. 2/7 Elemental Load (Wave). 2 Moves.
  13. Suguri SP Suguri wasn't quite sure how to respond to her new location. It seemed the proprietor was away, so she couldn't speak with them. And the nervous girl from before didn't seem like she would be much help. But then a woman in a maid outfit entered with the strange fellow that ran off before. "Hello." She spoke to the maid, "Are you Saki?" Nibiiro "...!" Eep! Nibiiro jumped at her former opponent's sudden appearance. Cautiously, she nodded her head. Having just finished a cookie, she picked up another and took a miniscule bite from it. All the while she kept her eyes trained on the creature she had just fought with. She already knew they couldn't fight again out here, but that didn't stop her from being nervous.
  14. Eva Although far enough away to be unaffected by the explosion, Eva was still plenty close enough to witness its effects. Tossing aside the risk to herself, she ran forward to help. She switched her element to Wave and tried to figure out who needed healing first. Eva enters the encounter and uses Element Switch (Wave) 26/26 HP, 0/7 Elemental Load, 2(?) Moves
  15. Rodin "Lemme give ya a quick demonstration." The barkeep picked up one of the knives, loosely slotting the ring at the chain's end over his pinky. He then threw the blade past Terumi. Though on the table the chain couldn't have been more than a couple of feet long, it easily stretched the full length of the room. As it neared its target, a wooden chair near the door, the image of a snake formed around it in green and black energy. The snake-knife wrapped around the chair several times, digging its fangs into one of the legs. The barkeep waited a moment for Terumi to take in what had happened before flicked his wrist back just slightly, causing the chair to fly through the air. It whizzed past Terumi's face and the barkeep deftly caught it. He held it in the air over the bar. The chain was wrapped around it twice and the knife embedded in its leg. Mokou The guide nodded to acknowledge Shinobu and then exited the building. She led the group down the road a short way to where it ended at a T shaped junction. Directly ahead was a rather large building. It was one of the few two-story buildings the group had seen, and its base was five times as wide as the average building (thus far most buildings seemed to be little beyond single room huts) and likely at least as long. The group was led across the street into that huge building, entiring a door at the front right corner. The room inside had the standard dimensions and was furnished with several sets of deep red wooden tables with matching chairs. A door led out the back, presumably further into the building. Sitting at one of the tables was the girl with the alien mask who had run off when they first arrived. She was happily nibbling away at a cookie and didn't notice the newcomers' arrival. A dull metal plate with several more cookies on it sat next to her on the table, as well as a pad of paper and a pencil.
  16. IDK what I did wrong, but my Eliwood is a shiitier fighter than my Matthew

No that's actually Normal Lex. Eliwood tends to be... all kinds of terribad. He suffers immensely from "Average" Syndrome in that all of his growths are super average percentages and he doesn't excel in any area so you can't really expect him to ever... really get much of anything.

@Hukuna the Undying In general Hero characters used to be pretty weak before the 7th game, Eliwood, Roy, Marth are all among the worst characters in the series. Meanwhile Eirika/Ephraim, Ike, Micaiah and Chrom/Lucina are all Gods of Death.

Oh, okay. It's just that, having worse stats than a thief a level below you is...

But is K, Rebecca and Lyn tear through everything, so Eliwood can afford to be shit.

  17. Rodin The barkeep chuckled, "Do you always act so serious, Terumi? You need to lighten up." He pressed the final remains of his cigar into a nearby ashtray. "But first, let's talk business." He said, his face suddenly darkening, "You seem like the ambitious type, probably think you can take down the queen bee herself. Right now you don't stand a chance in hell." He smirked. "But today's your lucky day, 'cause I've got just the thing to help you change that." He placed a pair of small knives on the table. The black blades were short and wide with very strait edges. The sides of the blades had intricate golden designs across them. They had small, rounded hilts, colored a very dark green, each attached to a long black chain. Terumi could feel a powerful and strange energy emanating from the weapons. "Since you ain't had the time to work up some cash, I'll put these babies on your tab. Alongside that next drink you were about to order."
  18. Eva Feeling a little overwhelmed already, Eva had opted not to join the others for the night. Instead she had simply logged out. She had been rather surprised to find the logout function intact, and less surprised when she wasn't returned to her home. Instead, when her avatar dematerialized, everything simply went dark. She experienced something similar to a dream, but slightly off, before sleep claimed her entirely. In the morning, Eva rematerialized near the docks. She had a moment of darkness while her avatar reformed, but her consciousness was quickly thrust back into the multiverse. It seemed that the tall avatar's friends had gathered during her sleep. She considered introducing herself, but as they seemed to be dealing with the boats (and in turn, water) she decided against it. Instead, she actively took several steps further away from the edge of the docks. She would just watch for now and introduce herself to the rest of her new companions afterwards.
  19. Rodin "You've got good taste." The bartender said, pouring Terumi a glass. "So what's your name, Yellow-jacket?" Suguri SP Suguri shook her head. "Not even that yet." She told Shinobu, "Right now I'm just trying to stay alive." Before she could even think about a solution to their situation, Suguri wanted to find a source of food and shelter, which likely meant a job of some kind. She supposed that in itself was a sort of plan and decided to share it. "Above all else, we need food and shelter. Once that's accounted for, we can start trying to figure this place out and look for an escape."
