Rodin The man's smirk widened slightly. "Seems your attitude matches your coat." He pointed his thumb over his shoulder at the building behind him. Painted on in an artistic script was the establishment's name, The Gates of Hell. "But you came to the right place, come inside and I'll get you a drink, first one's on the house." Sheriff Sheriff didn't know his way around, let alone where the alien girl might have gone. He knew there was some hotel place nearby since their host was going to lead them there. He also knew the location of the latrine. The chances of finding the girl in either of those places seemed slim. The locals didn't seem too fond of him either, but it seemed like he'd have to ask around if anyone had seen the girl.

Suguri SP Suguri rubbed her shoulder and groaned. She couldn't remember the last time she felt pain. "Regardless of the fight's outcome, I think you turned my shoulder into paper." She looked around. They seemed to all be back right where they left off. She faced her former foe and gave a short bow. "You've every reason to ignore me, but my offer of working together still stands." Terumi Terumi's search lead him to an area of the stone town far distinct from the rest. The buildings here were nothing special, but the inhabitants were definitely of note. They moved about in small cluster of two to four and eyed him with deep suspicion. Apparently strangers were unwelcome here. "You must be all kinds of crazy comin' to this part of town after a pitiful showing like that." A deep voice spoke out from behind Terumi. The source of the voice was a bald, dark-skinned man adorned with tattoos and a pair of sunglasses. He hadn't been there when Terumi walked past mere moment's before. A large hand clad in gold rings held a cigar to to the man's face. He lowered it to continue speaking. "Or is that why you're here? Come lookin' to make a deal with the devil?" A smirk crossed his lips as he raised the cigar back up to meet them.

Phoenix Talons 22. 1 direct hit, 2 far hits. 1 side graze, 1 far graze. Loses 43 HP. Gains 16 energy. HP: 0/15 Energy: 110/142 Status: Mokou has been reduced to 0 HP, she does not use her revive, Akemi is the winner. Mokou has no Death Counter. All players are returned to the location they were in before combat began, as if they hadn't even left in the first place.

Loki The Lokis grabbed each others' hands and leaned into each other, quite literally as the action recombined them into a single Loki. Loki breathed heavily for a moment before answering. "I think that's everything." she said, smiling. Genie Just then, Genie (who was definitely not waiting for this precise moment) reappeared from the curtained off area. "Perfect. Then if you would, Loki?" she gestured to the curtain. Loki hopped off the bed she was sitting on and headed inside. Genie warily watched the curtain for a moment. It was soundproof, but nothing stopped Loki from peeking out. Once she was certain the girl was gone, she shifted her attention back to Ice. "How did it go?" she asked, holding out her hand for the question sheets. Something clearly had her on edge, and it seemed likely that it involved Loki somehow.

Tallow Forge received a burst of pain and various images of pain before Tallow's voice came to her. "This is our body now, it follows our thoughts." He explained. To illustrate, Tallow thought about moving through the nearest wall and they moved through it. Strangely, Forge felt as if this were her own thought propelling them, and along with this feeling came another burst of pain and imagery. While in the wall their vision could see nothing, it was rather claustrophobic to have your vision cut off in the instant it began, but soon they exited back into one of the narrow hallways. Loki "It feels-" both Lokis started to speak. "Oops, sorry." Only the standing one continued, "It feels really weird, I'm both of me at the same time but if I focus I can separate all the sensations out and distinguish which is which. I can get up to four of me going at once, but more than two and it gets way too disorienting. I'm not really sure how it works, but it seems to only happen when I have to make a really fast decision on how to deal with something. Right now falling on my face is the easiest." Both Lokis moved back to sitting on the bed, the one standing stumbled a bit while the fallen one got up. "I don't think I can do anything else, but I didn't try much. I was way too busy figuring this out all morning."

Since fights are mostly over I've got more info to judge balance by. Game balance: HP base and scaling are being massively buffed. Base HP is now 50 from 15 and scaling is now 5*Health from 3*Health. 30 Health now puts you at 200 HP from 105 HP I've been wrestling with a buff for HP since before the RP began. The low base meant that without solid investment you were getting bopped at the slightest touch, which I felt fit the concept of danmaku and thus took measures to balance around. But Health, although requiring at least some investment was clearly inferior to Graze defensively. And with most turns dealing 20-30 damage, good turns heading up towards 70-90, average HP being 45 really doesn't cut it at all. 50 base HP means investing in Health is no longer required to not shoot yourself in the foot and the increased scaling will help make Health more worthwhile elsewise. I'll be reevaluating effects related to Health, HP, and Death Counters in response to this change. Due to fights naturally going longer, I'll be looking to rebalance Charge slightly in the future. The goal will be a buff to high charge but a nerf to average and low charge. Melee is being nerfed. Instead of canceling Far hits it now instead deals 50% damage on Side and Far hits Far hits are rare enough that the current melee is effectively a better Beam unless the opponent has terrible Graze. Taking away damage from Side hits as well as Far gives it a much riskier cost. Self-Healing now heals for [Charge] from [Charge]/2. Homing now procs before your focus adjusts instead of after, this way if you aim directly at someone it doesn't end up functionally the same as Focused (and thus still superior for the same cost) Damage is now flat Power from Power+1. 0 Power shots don't hurt anymore so you'll have to dip at least 1 point to make them do so. Character balance: Suguri SP's Counter no longer gives Energy Akemi's Death in Four Acts falls off immediately upon failing to land an attack Mokou's Phoenix Revive now costs 60 Energy from 40 Mokou's Spontaneous Human combustion now scales based on maxHP rather than a flat value. It is now maxHP/([Spread]/2) from 15-[Spread]
