  1. At least as long as I exist. Even if the site were going to become kill I wouldn't let it owo After all, ANKL has only died twice. Gotta get at least ten failures.
  2. I'm 19, I think IDFR how old I was when I joined, 15 or something. The community has generally gotten older over the years. It's weird how time does that, ain't it?
  3. TFW clubs are pulling a backchannel. I'm having war flashbacks.

  4. Elma - Vale 12.20. Activate Overdrive. Turn Beowolf 1 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing [miss] and [miss] damage to Flanagan. The Beowolf takes 3 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 2 howls loudly. A Plains Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative. The Beowolf takes 3 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 4 howls loudly. A Cliff Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative. The Beowolf takes 3 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 5 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing [miss] and [miss] damage to Amber. The Beowolf takes 3 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 6 howls loudly. A Plains Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative. The Beowolf takes 3 damage from Blaze. She gains 25 charge in her Phoenix Gauge. Beowolf 8 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing 10 and 10 damage to Flanagan. The Beowolf takes 6 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 9 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing 9 and 9 damage to Remi. The Beowolf takes 6 damage from Blaze. Beowolf 10 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing 10 and 10 damage to Lyssa. Embla attacks Beowolf 8 for [miss] damage. She regains 10HP. Melee Defense Up wears off. Status Initiative Elma - Vale 12.20. Basic Attack Beowolf 13. Elma's shadowlike figure appeared behind one of the larger Beowolves and struck at it with her swords before she vanished almost completely again. This fight didn't seem to be going very well. They'd been unable to prevent the Beowolves from calling on reinforcements and the sheer numbers threatened to overwhelm them. Elma should have figured that a few kids from Colony 9 would be too unprepared to deal with even a pack of Beowolves. If she didn't do something quick, they were going to be slaughtered and she would be left to slink away in the shadows. But what then? She needed these Blades to succeed here, because she needed them to help her save her home. For now, it was out of her hands. She'd placed Flanagan in charge, so until he felt they needed to retreat, they would keep fighting. Maybe she just needed to put a little faith in them, even if they were from colony 9, they were all still Blades for a reason.

I do wish he'd been nicer to the people who do creative things like music videos and animations. Sure some of them are pretty bad, but plenty are kind of awesome.

I agree.  A case of 'the bad apple ruins the whole bunch' with him it seems.  "Don't Mine at Night" is still an honestly good remix in my opinion (with it's remix of a remix MLP version also being decent)

Mostly I just like TNT, which was pretty early on the remix train and one of the first I found.

I admit the sheer number of them ~~and people like me constantly blabbering about them~~ seems a bit excessive, but still.

For me, MC died off due to an inability to find an enjoyable multiplayer community and an inability to entertain myself for more than a few days even with several dozen mods. Though, no, the sheer number of younger children being immature about it didn't help.

  5. (OOC: I'm gonna keep the same number scheme for ease of communication.) Beowolf 1 howls loudly. A Cliff Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative Beowolf 2 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing [miss] and [miss] damage to Lyssa Beowolf 3 howls loudly. A Cliff Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative Beowolf 6 strikes twice in rapid succession, dealing [miss] and 10 damage to Amber Beowolf 7 howls loudly. A Cliff Beowolf enters the combat at the bottom of the initiative Lyssa deals 30(6*5) damage to Beowolf 7, killing it. Induction increases to 30% (5 bonus Power). Elma activates Shadowrunner. Flanagan attacks Beowolf 1 for [miss] damage. Amber grants Embla Melee Defense Up for 2 turns. Tiburon deals 60(2*30) damage to Beowolf 3, killing it. Remi inflicts Blaze 4 on all enemies for 3 turns. Embla attacks Beowolf 5, dealing [miss] damage. Status Initiative
  6. Is arriving five minutes early to church not plenty of time?

I don't like being late, but calling five minutes early to an event late seems patently absurd.

Is it your family that's saying that or church officials? Are any of your family members involved in worship teams (choirs, bands), or serving teams (tithe/offering/connection card collection, communion)?

Technically - most churches I've gone to have an opening music number that lets the congregation know it is time for the service that lasts 2 or 3 minutes after the beginning of church. 5 minutes early - assuming you are just there to worship and aren't connected to any ministry teams - is 7 minutes early.

    4. Shamitako

      Shamitako

I just asked my dad, they do the opening thing three minutes before, so I suppose we were only two minutes early. They do work with the worship team, but neither of them was on today (they have to be there at like 8 or 9 for that).

The morning went like such: At 10:22 I got up to get my shower and asked my sister when we needed to leave. She said 35 minutes (an approximation from 10:20, obviously), I assumed she meant that as our arrival time and had misspoken and thus planned my shower time to get me ready to leave by ten till as it's a five minutes drive. When I got out of the shower at 10:45, my mother and sister were both yelling at me to hurry up for fear of making them late. I exited the house at 10:48 and the car was started by 10:50, with my sister yelling at my mother to "just drive." When she didn't pull out of the driveway immediately. We arrived at precisely 10:55 and they were in the auditorium at 10:56, which I thought plenty of time but they seemed to very much disagree.

  7. (OOC: I can't update the map RN, but unless I really fucked up, it's just a regular plains space like the rest you can see. Oh, also, as with map movement, feel free to not bother posting full posts with combat. Better to get an action out with no post quickly with how prevalent combat is going to be.) Tiburon discovers Vale 12.20, as well as a pack of Beowolves. Combat started, initiative order: Elma - Vale 12.20. Using Shadowrunner. As the group continued their trek north across the plains, they were beset by a pack of Beowolves. It was actually rather convenient, they would serve as an easy opponent to test her new team on. "Alright, I'm sure all of you know how to handle a few Beowolves. Let's take them out quickly before they can summon more help." She called out, "Remi and Lyssa, that means you. I'm going dark and won't be able to communicate, Flanagan, you're in charge. If things start to look bad, get everyone out of here." Elma drew her swords and vanished from sight, circling around to strike at the Grimm from behind.
  8. Lexi Lexi was most certainly excited to go back out as Platinum retrieved her with a catch. Answering Esyllt with a curt, "Yep!" She dashed forward in an attempted to grab the ball flying towards Riley from the air. Being a terrible catch, it instead rebounded off of her stomach, knocking her out of the game yet again. Riley laughed jovially at Lexi's failure. "You know I would have caught that." "I mean yeah..." Lexi answered, "But it would have been cooler if I'd caught it." "Good point, try again next time." Lexi walked back over to Esyllt. "So... Are you excited to get back out there?" Haley Haley winced when Arturia got hit, it looked pretty painful. "Are you okay?" She asked as Arturia exited the field. "My friends and I usually make headshots not count so less people get hurt." Kaede's retaliation didn't hit its intended mark as a returning Lexi intercepted it with her body. Haley couldn't help but giggle at the girl's ridiculous show of self-sacrifice, especially since Riley looked to her friend and said, "You know I would have caught that." With her own bit of laughter. This was followed by Sharp and the second unknown joining the sidelines. Haley hadn't seen what had happened to them, but it left both teams with only a few members in time for the teacher to blow her whistle. "We're almost out of time! No more ins!" It looked like the final leg of this fight would be Riley, Platinum, and Alva against Kaede, Ceci, and Lilith. Or more accurately just Kaede, seeing as Ceci was still ignoring the game and Lilith was still cowering in her corner. Natalie "Before we get to questions, come inside." Natalie's mother said, "We can speak more freely and Arya can use the first aid kit." She opened the door to her cabin and ushered the two inside. It was furnished much like Arya and Natalie's, though her desk was clearly getting more use and it had a rather ornate rug in the center. Mother Opium grabbed the promised first aid kit and handed it to Arya. "I can summon a nurse if you need, but with how much there is to discuss I'd appreciate if you could make do." She sat cross-legged on the rug, she'd always found the floor to be her most comfortable location so this was no surprise. Natalie joined her, equally accepting of the ground as her seat. "Since you've both been through a lot, let's start with what I know and you don't." Mother Opium began, "The Inquisitor, Kindle Hope. She's a living weapon trained by the church to carry out its less savory wishes. More specifically, she answers to the women in the shadows who control the church, not the devout who serve as its public face. She's technically a secret, but her existence is known and feared among the higher classes. If it weren't for my friendship with Estole Syv, I'm certain they'd have sent her to silence me by now. "As for why she's here... Some in the church believe that the goddesses have been reincarnated. And Kindle's masters stand to lose their power should the goddesses awaken to their identities. They think that I've gathered the goddesses here and am protecting them. And though you may find it hard to believe, they're correct on all counts." Natalie's jaw hit the floor with a resounding, "What?!" "The goddesses are real, they are here, and I'm trying to stop the politicians behind the church from murdering them." "Mom, that's insane. Actually crazy talk." "Perhaps so, but surely you saw Kindle's power? Not the scythe, the power of Inheritance. It's like magic, far beyond anything human. Only the presence of a goddess can unlock such power in someone." Natalie looked at her hands. She hadn't seen anything like that from the crazed lunatic that attacked her and Arya. But what of the strange power she exhibited to defend them?
  9. TBH, would probably vote for Oprah. Would also prefer to not set the tone for a stream of celebrity presidents. I don't think one is as bad as people make it out to be, but it can't become the standard.
  10. Elma - Vale 17.20 Fast Travel to Vale 13.20 Elma decided a demonstration of her abilities would be for the best. Without a word, she vanished from view. A few moments later she reappeared standing at the head of the table. "As I said before, my name is Elma Celeste. I'm a Blade of Colony 6 specializing in stealth operations and reconnaissance." She introduced herself, "That's what put me in a position to get here, but to get back to Colony 6 I'm going to be relying a lot on the rest of you. I can't promise your safety and I won't try to reassure you. We move out in two hours, make sure you're fully prepared." Elma was actually rather impressed with this little group, especially the Nopon. But they were still from Colony 9, whether they liked it or not, hiding behind their walls was all they knew. A few hours later the group found themselves farther from Colony 9 then any of them had been before. They were crossing the open plains north of Colony 9, heading towards the cliffs to the north. Elma had already explained to them that Colony 6 was to the northeast, over the cliffs. Grimm were scattered across the landscape, though they wouldn't make an attempt to attack unless the group got too close. Biahno lake was to the west, the large body of water was known to attract many Grimm and so the residents of Colony 9 kept their distance from it. According to Elma, there was a passage leading up through the cliffs a little east from where they were, but it would be dangerous to traverse due the large number of Grimm in the area. Not that they had much choice if they wanted to get to Colony 6 in any reasonable amount of time. Quest Update: Introduce yourselves to Elma complete Map movement enabled (reminder that one of you moves all of you when exploring) (OOC: I'm going to try to make it into the library tomorrow so I can respond to any movement you guys make)
  11. Everyone - Vale 17.20 Colony 9's town hall was a practical building constructed of brick and reinforced with steel plating and half-buried in the ground. It served as meeting place and potential safety bunker for the colony's political class, as well as the home of its leader, Director Maurice Chausson. Set just to the right of the door when entering was an overhang, under which sat a rectangular conference table and eight chairs. And currently occupying those chairs were three Homs, two Faunus, and a Nopon. They didn't technically know why they'd be summoned, but rumors were abundant, making it a pretty easy guess. The woman that appeared outside the gates nearly a week earlier was rumored to have been seeking aid for Colony 6. How Director Chausson had been convinced to send that aid was yet unknown, but it was pretty apparent to those gathered that they had been chosen for that very task. They weren't the best of the best, but none of them were slouches. Good enough to make an impression should they succeed, but bad enough that their loss wouldn't be much of a hit to the colony's defenses. Whatever small talk they might have been having was cut off by the door opening. Director Chausson stepped out first, followed closely by his adviser Tai Dickson and a woman that none of them recognized but they could assume was the woman from Colony 6. "These Blades will accompany you back to Colony 6." Chausson told the woman, confirming her identity. "Six blades, how generous of you, Director Chausson." The woman said dryly. "They're all we can spare." Chausson answered, "You of all people should know that Grimm activity has been on the rise." "Yes, of course." The woman sounded sufficiently admonished, "This will be more than enough. It has to be." Chausson face the assembled Blades, the woman and Dickson following suit. "Isidoro Gallo, Lyssa Metaxas, Flanagan Ruaidhri, Embla Gunnarsdottir, Amber Waters, and Remi Fawkes." Chausson gestured to each as he said their names and then paused to let the woman speak. "My name is Elma Celeste, I'm from Colony 6. I look forward to working with each of you." Elma introduced herself. Chausson continued, "Colony 6 has been besieged by the creatures of Grimm. You are to accompany Elma back to Colony 6 and offer aid. You will leave within the hour. Please direct any questions to your team commander." He gestured to Elma to indicate this was her role and then he and Tai retreated inside. Elma joined the Blades at the table. "I'd like to get going as soon as possible, but Director Chausson's introduction left a lot to be desired." She said, "You all probably know each other, but you've never met me and I've never met you. If you're going to be fighting under my command, we need to get to know each other at least a little better. So tell me a little bit about yourselves." Initiating Main Quest: Colony 6 Overrun. Tasks Introduce yourself to Elma Find Colony 6 Defeat the Grimm Map Movement will be disabled at the beginning of this quest.

It's really not that big on shipping wars, mostly just memes about shipping and the creators being troll over ships.

This guy usually focuses too much on weird ships and fanart, but I'd say he pretty much nailed this one.

  14. I only skimmed, but I see the federal government taking power away from state governments, and that makes me unhappy. Lolno
