If you're going for Roserade: Nuzleaf learns Extrasensory at level 36, and Budew can inherit the move. I recommend breeding it on because of the lack of Sludge Bomb (or decent Poison-type offensive moves in its movepool) and the iffyness of getting a good HP-type. (Nuzleaf can be caught in a certain area around Beryl (not sure if the event is removed, but I think not), you need Rock smash and decent mons for it...) You can also get Piloswine/Mamoswine, which isn't shabby either.

You can keep it aside and breed further until you meet your goal. You'll probably make up your mind in the process. Also, tip: breed in 14.1.1. It's got a favorable bug for IV-inheritance. (Everstone + stat breeding item = 6 stats + nature inherited)

Yeah, Voltorb flip is a bit tedious, but it's better than the slot machines in this game. I only saved for an Espurr thanks to the site, and that thing really came through in boss battles.

So I caught a Relaxed Mudkip with okay IVs, and I desperately want to replace my pretty much useless Sharpedo for a Swampert. I'm just wondering how to raise it. Should I breed it for better (IVs/)nature, what EVs should I train it, and what moveset would be good in-game?

Well, Jolteon, Umbreon, Espeon and Sylveon come to my mind. There aren't a lot of pokemon with those types as good in-game (or I completely missed them, like Eevee when I think about it). Magnemite comes late in V5.whatever, and aspeon is more powerful than any Psychic-mon I encountered that is obtainable (and I don't recommend hunting down a budew for Extrasensory breeding), even though Fake-Out/Sucker Punch Meowstic gets a jump on most boss-mons.

For example, after the, er-hem, 'disposure of the alerted guards', being able to go back to talk about stuff that 'happened' before the game takes place for us (trivial things like birthdays, little events, stories about their stay in Unova...futile stuff, y'know?). You can even throw references in about the happenings of the missing fatherly figure, too.

About your mom (in-game, guys), even after finding her on the island, I still didn't feel that connected to the character. Could Jan give us a possibility to have some small talk with her by running back to her the same day you find her? It would give some more weight to other events later on in my opinion...

I guess you don't have a Trapinch...pity...it outspeeds almost every mon she has. I won using Crobat and Flygon as leads, but with Darmanitan having replaced a Ninetales, I'm not sure how effective it still would be.

If you caught a Wooper, evolve it and learn it Amnesia. It's a strategy of T3RR4WR, but a very effective one on this field (due to no special stat split).
