I can advise you not to raise noibat yet but Woobat with simple and Calm Mind can deal some blows. Pachirisu (or Emolga later) can be used for maximum trolling/to set up other mons. Pachi gets in my opinion out of use somewhere around the 5th gym. You can get Budew pretty early too. Roselia/-rade has excellent special attack and decent speed. (and you can get Nuzleaf at a certain point to breed Extrasensory, if you feel like it). Trubbish, as stated above, is also pretty great early-game with Acid Spray/Toxic Spikes and good speed.

Had it quite easy, even if I took in mostly my B-team: Archeops, Azumarril, Metagross and Greninja got overleveled (thanks Solaris), so yeah. I took in Manectric and Gyarados (which only landed the final hit, because:) and deleveled my Greninja with Surf/Ice beam (The rest wasn't needed in battle). Togekiss went down to a Charge/Discharge-combo, and besides the Mega-Altaria the rest were OHKO's. I didn't expect it to mega-evolve, so that one took almost 50% damage before axing Greninja. It has to be told they all were level 74-75. Overall, pretty easy. Especially due to Talonflame not having Gale Wings (which could've given me a challenge).

Kinda similar to me, I took it down with a crit on my third hit with Flygon. It came just at the right moment, 'cause the mon wouldn't have survived another hit.

pachirisu/emolga are great disruptors in the game (pachi with charm/sweet kiss/Nuzzle/super Fang can cripple a mon for set-up). You can get scatterbug after florinia, if you don't like butterfree enough (or venonat in obsidia park), all get QD. Kricketune helps you mow down the first two gyms with ease (Fury Cutter spam). Budew can be gotten really early, if you can, evolve it between lvl10-13 (happiness can be a pain in this game) Roselia/Roserade have an incredible special attack. Of course, you can get vulpix at a point in the game, but I heard it was pushed back a bit (don't know how much). You probs want to switch to better mons during the progression of the game, though.

I thought Lin was referring to Sirius not having introduced dr. Connal? Otherwise it could be simple miscalculation of hers, seeing how powerful she is supposed to be (even though Solaris is a bit of a chump now).

been playing 5.3, movement in Crawli's gym doesn't add up...when moving the floors, going left = going right sometimes (when it's not supposed to happen), and sometimes it's like I don't land in the correct room... I somehow managed to activate the two panels, though. EDIT: At this point, I can't get the first floor in the right spot to advance, and when I do, I don't fall to the correct floor: it says 'floor 4' with a bump-sound, then directly after that I 'fall' again (same black screen) and end up on floor 3. EDIT2: Yh, the movements the game shows aren't always correct. Ended up landing in the final room somehow after trial and error.
