The battles against Catherine and Timothy's starters are mostly luck-based, since your mons are all level 5. You just had bad luck there But we do intend to make the game harder than the canon games; Most Gym battles will be quite tough, and even more so when you haven't met the Pokemon you've fought before!

I've tried it myself and it works normally. The problem is most likely caused by an incorrect image type: Please check, in the Graphics folder, that Bunnerd's backsprite (called "839b") is a .png image type. Only .png images can have transparency. Please replace it with the following image:

We're making a small annoucement to give some information about a mon that most of you know, yet hasn't had its official artwork revealed yet: Here's Elftik! Eltik? What's that, you ask? Elftik is a BUG/FAIRY type, a type combination unique to Graterras! You might have seen Elftik already in CH1, but if you haven't found Elftik yet, you've been out of luck. Elftik is a very rare wild encounter in the game, and the start of a special trend: As you all will soon see, all Fairy types are very rare in Graterras; Eufur is assumingly the only one of its kind in the region, and most, if not all, other Fairies, will be extremely rare encounters in certain areas. And a tip: Chapter 2 will feature at least one more of these rare Fairy-type rare encounters, unique to yet another area. And a fun fact about Elftik: It will gain one of two different abilities upon evolution! And it also gets a HA! But which one? Go speculate! That's all for today, folks!

Because of exam weeks, festivities, and general slacking off, development has depleted at a slow but steady pace. Most of the planning for CH2 has been done, and development (spriting, mapping, coding) should be about halfway at least. As said before, the beta will most likely start around February. 2) We're announcing a very special feature that will be in CH2 today! I had to fight for this one to get in, because things that are time-consuming and not absolutely necessary can be hard to argue with Tomas especially . Anyways, here's a preview of a new feature for CH2: Character outfits! Ever wanted to challenge the League and become the Champion... As the evil team? Well, with these Team Rocket cosplays, you can! Prepare for trouble when Jason* and Zoey put on their true outfits and infiltrate Graterras! With the advent of CH2, eight character outfits will be available for the Main Characters: Four for Jason and four for Zoey. These will all be purchasable at the mall in Albion. Be warned; They can be quite expensive And that's not all! The outfit sets aren't just limited to the Pokemon series! The cosplays feature many different characters from many different universes! More outfits will be available in future episodes, and they might even be available through special events instead of just buying them. Stay tuned for more information! To help you guys a bit with your HA quest; -There are 14 different evolution lines to catch in CH1; 3 starters, 3 bugs, 3 rodents, 1 root monster, 1 bird, 1 pig, 1 ghost, and 1 wolf. That's all of them, i think. -There are 8 more evolution lines from Trainers only, not catchable in CH1; 5 from the Gym, 2 from Tim, and 1 somewhere else. -Only one of all of those evolution lines does NOT have a Hidden Ability. -There is one custom Hidden Ability among them, not found in the canon games. Good luck guessing that one.

Sprites can only be transparent if they are of the PNG image type. Simply remove everything from the image you want to be transparent with the select or eraser tool, then save/export the image as a .png and it will be transparent.

Epic C, your Gliscor has Earthquake twice. You can replace one of them with another move, for example, Substitute, Swords Dance or Acrobatics
