Pokemon cannot be caught with their Hidden Abilities. Certain event encounters (none currently) will feature Pokemon with their Hidden Abilities, and the Hidden Abilities for the others are gained through the use of an item similar to the Ability Capsule (but not available yet in CH1). We won't be mentioning Pikrieg's Hidden Ability, so we're not going to answer this one. Just wait and see

Apparently, I'm accredited by a cannibal Krabby and almost always associated with apn.

The group set off to the gym, with Sora and Nicu walking in front. Conflicted with her dislike of cleaning, or that of working in general, and her desire not to show that to others, Evelyn decided to just stick to the back of the group for a while in an attempt to hide the dread spelled in bold red letters on her face. After a short period of walking, the group arrived at the gym. The others quickly headed towards the cleaning supplies neatly gathered in a small room, while Evelyn followed. I guess there's no other option but to play along... Unless... As the others set towards their cleaning duties, Evelyn glanced around the area, her broom in hand, searching for a distraction. Maybe even an excuse. The gym's very spacious, and especially so when there's no people here, like during the PE classes. On the right-hand side, there's a doorway, leading to the girl's shower room. A perfect place to "go clean". Only two of the others will ever dare to step foot in there. And maybe she'll just call them over to help clean the bathrooms after a while... With this in mind, Evelyn headed towards the girls' shower room. I'll just do some pretend-cleaning, just in case Seema walks in randomly. Getting caught slacking by her will not end well...

Chapter 1 had to kind of serve as the "necessary introduction to the game". Trust me: the plot will pick up pace really fast, though, starting right in Chapter 2.

[OOC/Sign Ups]Battlefield of Love!!♥!! ~
Nova replied to Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~'s topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
What was I supposed to do, then? I kind of felt like Scene 1 had happened already, considering that PPQ had already made a huge post, so that we had to react in hindsight on it. Should I shorten my post to allow other players to react? What edits should I make?- 40 replies

Before Episode 1, Scene 1 [EARLY MORNING] "The sandman cares little if you are poor or rich. He goes as he comes, and leaves sleep in his wake." Evelyn recalls childhood bedtime stories with half-open eyes. She still remember those stories from long ago. Having loaded parents surely has its merits, but their time spent on children certainly isn't one. Father had hired caretakers to fill that gap, but how much is there for others to fix? Living in a dorm was one of the largest life changes for Evelyn. It was supposed to "make her more independant". Though she has a luxury room and all school expenses paid, couldn't they have been a bit more generous than to simply throw their own daughter right out in the open world? Evelyn stifles a yawn and drags herself out of the comfort of her bed. A pile of clothes lays neatly on the drawer, ready to put on. "Thanks, mom, for bringing those in the weekends," she mumbles, "Or should I say, thanks to whoever she waved the cash at to do so." Episode 1, Scene 1 [MORNING] After a luxurious breakfast (thanks again, Mom), Evelyn leaves for school, expecting a normal day of homeroom, normal classes, and few other things. She enters the classroom slightly early, as is expected of a lady, and elegantly walks to her seat, causing a few giggles from the back of the class and a scowl from a certain individual known as Mr. Leigh. Most likely because of her "family connections", Mr. Leigh at least showed some respect for Evelyn, never "cordially inviting" her to a "post-class conversation session", or, as it's commonly known amongst the students, a "He got angry again and ranted at me for 20 minutes." That didn't stop Mr. Leigh from shouting to her, however, when needed. As usual, Mr. Leigh starts by calming everyone down, then, as if a switch is triggered inside him, instantly falls silent when the door is knocked. He angrily mutters something to himself about that "new student" and "kids these days", then yells at the door to "come in". A somewhat tall figure stands in the doorway. (...) "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! That's enough, just uh take a seat wherever it's available. Yeah, like over there, next to Edwardson." As the boy walked over to Evelyn, her mind struck a blank. A new student, in the middle of the year? Did the others know? Why didn't they tell her about it? He steps closer, and Mr. Leigh is still staring from the front of the classroom. Just stay calm, Evelyn. "Guess we're desk neighbors. Nice to meet you." That caught her off-guard somewhat, expecting a somewhat more sophisticated approach, and causing the reply to be somewhat louder than expected. "Hello!" He probably doesn't know how to act around me yet, she thought. "I'm Edwardson. Evelyn. Evelyn Edwardson." So much for a calm approach, even though he's technically approaching ME. "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT quiet down brats we've got some shit to learn today." Mr. Leigh's brash voice interrupts the talk before Nicu can react. The rest of the day day goes on rather uneventfully, with some random chit-chat with Nicu, but so far her efforts to pronounce her superior status have gone unnoticed. There may be more to this boy than meets the eye... [AFTER SCHOOL] The class ends and the students collectively sigh in relief. But not soon thereafter, Mr.Leigh interrupts their, now false, hope of escape. "THAT'S THE END OF CLASS. But the following students have cleaning duties." That's no problem, Evelyn thought. Mr.Leigh never picked her anyways. Cleaning is for the maids to do. "Aurora Seema." The class representative. She and Evelyn hadn't really talked often aside from student matters, but Evelyn had always appreciated her diligence. "Ferreo Eurosia." A pretty obnoxious girl. Well, not entirely a girl, she thought. Too rude and unladylike to be called one. After their first meeting, which was shortly followed by several bruises on Evelyn's side, forcing her to wear those like scars for a few days, she and Ferreo never spoke again. "Koizumi Sora." As always, Mr.Leigh's shouting is followed by a startled yelp from behind her, and Sora blushing while trying to hide it from everyone. Not that she minded; Sora had been pretty nice to her when they talked, although a bit timid about, well, everything. "Evelyn Edwardson." WHAT? How dare he assign her to cleaning? 'He should be the one cleaning for ME!' she thought. "Koizumi, you do it! Take Daniel with you on cleaning duty and show him around." As Mr. Leigh left he added "Maybe you'll grow a backbone then." And now he's leaving us to the cleaning. At least, now that Nicu's here, there's still four people cleaning even if I don't bother. Mr. Leigh has disappeared, so there's no way she could protest. But maybe this could provide a great opportunity to show Nicu how things go around here; If the others were to treat her as they should, he would certainly follow. With that in mind, she set off.

What was the video game that got you into gaming?
Nova replied to star-kin's topic in Gaming General
The first games I actually remember playing, aside from maybe a few of those kids' games, are Settlers 3, and Populous: The Beginning, when I was like 5 or 6. Later on, we got a DS, and PMD: Blue Rescue Team was the game that got me into Pokemon. -
Fun fact about the Pikrieg evolution line; It is the only line whose cries were made by me. All other cries were made by Calvius. But yeah, I quite like this pig and its typing, which is only shared by 1 other Pokemon, which isn't even seen all that often!

I have no idea what Ar Tonelico is, but I'd be curious to see a playthrough of it. Might be interested in trying it out myself afterwards

Volcarona is my favorite, and I also like Scrafty, Heracross, Hydreigon and quite a few others. And what about theoretical mons with unseen type combos which have new x4 weaknesses? For one, I'd like to see a Poison/Fire mon (Smogon's CAP has one I believe) or a Fairy/Ice one (which would be a mon similar to Froslass or Jynx... maybe a Mega of one of them?)

I based Redemption's Ariel's pose on the one Catherine has, that's true. But other than that, the characters are entirely different. Changing that for the sake of separation to please the few people that play both Se7en and Redemption is absolutely not worth it. And, besides, does it even matter all that much if the only difference is a single sprite? Rant over.

We're back for two very very important announcement! Firstly, the beta stage of the game is almost about to start! In this stage, we'll polish some of the spritework, add a few extra features, and fix some bugs and other errors. After that, Chapter One is ready for release! The beta stage will take no longer than two weeks, which means Chapter One will be coming very, very soon! Along with that, since this will most likely be the last announcement before the actual first chapter, we have decided to give you a large introduction and insider post to the main characters and Rivals! The Heroes As with other games, you will be given a choice between a male and female character. The differences are merely aesthetic, so don't worry about that. Similarly to Black and White, our main characters are somewhat older than the regular ones, since Graterras is quite the dangerous place! The in-game names and personalities are up for the players to decide, but what is known about the heroes is that they are from Elmiet Town, having spent their childhood living there. Now, they are ready for adventure! These are the heroes of Graterras: Jason and Zoey! Jason is the male main character. If you don't know your Greek mythology (which I don't blame you for), Jason is a heroic character in the Greek mythos, which is, therefore, the origin of his name! There are many more mythological references throughout the game, so keep an eye out for them! Zoey is the female main character! She's practically my first ever and most favorite brain-child of this project, along with a species of Pokemon designed by me that I particularly adore. However, this post isn't for that. Zoey's name origin is from Joey, which is a common name for a baby kangaroo. Quite fitting for an Australian heroine, isn't it? And, in case you were wondering, Youngster Joey is in Graterras as well, and his Ebounny is indeed in the top percentage of Ebounny. The Rivals The Rivals are your childhood friends, and are also allowed to pick a Pokemon to start on their journey! You will travel together and accompany each other on your journey in Graterras. Below is a small introduction to both of them, but we'll only be revealing a very small part of their character. Here they are: Timothy and Catherine! Timothy is your first rival, born and raised in the same town of Elmiet. Timothy is a rather timid individual, and can have some problems due to his shyness, but he's goodhearted and a great friend. Catherine is your second rival, born from a very rich family. Her wealthy background can make her haughty at times, but she has a sweet side as well, and a passion and talent for Pokemon battles is in her blood! These are, of course, just small parts of their full character. What secrets do they hide? What will they discover on their journey? Stay tuned for the next Chapter of Pokemon Se7en, now actually coming really soon!

You can put the standard/most common EVs and stuff you will use here, but you can of course change them to fit the Leader you will fight... And this thread was of course not created by the leaders to plan your demise in advance

Related mons but with separate species are also listed, such as Latias/Latios and Nidoking/queen. Should those actually be included?

Warning, hype in-bound. The Redemption League!

UU mons can actually do very well if you know how to use them. There are a quite a few mons in UU that are amazing in League, where quite a few OU mons would suck horribly.- 297 replies
