  1. Better for you not to forget him, because even on ORAS I still run it on two teams
  2. Why exactly Lonely nature on Altaria? Why not Adamant that does the same thing to attack but reduces your unused special attack?
  3. Gonna take a look. But... there isn't any thread posting rules, how does it work?
  4. Your Forum Name: SJMistery (gasp, what a surprise) Your Server Name: Aura SJMistery (yeah, i improved a lot my play since last time i was here, sad thing i forgot how fun can a pokemon battle be on the way...) The Year You Joined Reborn: ??? (can't remember, i think it was at the beggining of BW, around 4 years ago. 2 hours if we count since I re-joined after my two year long hiatus) Your Favorite Type: Dragon and Water as a close second. Your Least Favorite Type: Fairy, guess why Did you participate in the first installment of PokeNations? Nope Your Social Security Number 3.14159265 General Availability: depends on the day. being GMT+1/+2 in summers, it can get problematic.
  5. You didn't read the post right? It quite clearly says "again". I am not a newbie, and I already know the rules...
  6. you can simply send a ghost with false swipe like shedinja and honedge (assuming they are catchable, speaking of wich, it is true that some pokemon canot be found even on post game, dratini being one? that's evil...)
  7. Hello, I am SJMistery, the very same one that has played on Reborn since BW, that got out a couple of years ago when the server got moved to Showdown and got smogonized. Since then I haven't been able to enjoy the game so much as then, battles are much more intense when "overcentralizing" pokemon are kept around. The fact that nobody even battles on the server outside of a few Random Battle matches does not help at all But I have returned, with the intention to try and restore the server to it's former glory. And regardless of wether I succeed or not, I am back to stay. Hello to everybody again here!
  8. Stalled Staller! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-355677551 SubDDnite saves the day from the evil claws of Hax! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-355197318 SubDDnite vs Fairy Type! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-355208252
  9. Man, if mega dragonite ever comes out it will be uber for sure. Smogon had to ban Dragonite from using ANY megastone on the OMM that made all mega-stones available to all pokemon, except some particularly broken ones like Beedrillite, Mawilite and Kangaskhanite. It was simply too easy to alternate between Dragon Dance and Roost abusing Multiscale, then megaenvolving to trade Multiscale into a more offensively inclined ability like Pixilate, Aerilate, Tough Claws, etc to wreck everything on it's path, especially having Extremespeed at his disposal. PD In case you didn't notice my avatar, Dragonite is not only saphira's ace, he is mine as well; and sure as honey I know him better than anybody, my word on Dragonite is law, if you get any doubt just ask the veterans that suffered mine back at 5th gen. Not Shadow Tag Chandelure, not Genesect, not climatic sweepers, not even Crep's Baton Pass team was as hated and feared as my one-man-army, the SubDDnite called "Belgabad"
  10. There is no feeling like the one i feel when i know exactly what my opponents will do, the moment my entire mind is working in harmony to smash the enemy team to pieces without any mistake.
  11. You know, rain is still common in high OU, the good old KingColoTops does not need permanent rain to tear apart teams, especially now that Swampert works as a Kabutops on ehem, on vitamins. Sun is mediocre at best, Charizard Y is better used alone, as little to nothing can use the sun boost better than Charizard Y himself anyway.
  12. It would be better to give the Life Orb to Mamoswine. The extra power is rarely needed and being able to switch moves might help a lot: for example, using Earthquake to kill oposing Hippowdon after hitting it with Icicle Crash, and viceversa. This sounds trivial but it means you can force out a steel type like Steelix by clicking Earthquake while STILL being able to 2HKO Hippowdon, being able to force out Heatran without becoming total Charizard bait, etc. It also lets him to finish off Keldeo with an Ice Shard after hitting him on the switch with Earthquake. Removing the choice scarf on Nidoking instead would render your team too slow and too weak against fast cleaners like Latios, Dugtrio or Starmie. and speaking of speed, i also advocate in favor of removing Camerupt. I feel something like Agility+Substitute baton passer Gliscor would benefit a lot nidoking and mamoswine, fixing their mediocre speed and letting them rampage on the oposing team without resistance with their amazing STAB coverage in case you remove the scarf. If ferrothorn becomes a problem with Camerupt out, simply run Superpower instead of Knock Off. Not like Mamoswine should be wasting his time knocking off items when he can simply knock out enemies directly. Sadly Ground has little to no good megas, the only moderately good ones being Mega Garchomp whose speed reduction makes it inferior to regular Garchomp, and Mega Swampert, who requiring rain, is much better on the water monotypes.
  13. fiery dance is the best move. the power difference notable but the 50% chance of boosting the special attack is awesome to clean up teams. count that after a boost from a previous attack, +1 Fiery Dance it has the exact same power as Fire Blast. PD I was sure Fiery Dance used to have 100 base power...
  14. you could try a Lucarionite on Weavile if you feel you prefer a boosted icicle crash and more importantly a super-strong night slash (knock off does not work very well on that metagame), but it would be significantly weaker on sheer ice type damage output, i know
  15. good job with that team. Sad thing Dragonite got forbidden to use megastones last time. Pixilate/Aerilate Extremespeed hurts like hell
  16. Cool team. Can i suggest to try Toxic instead of Roar on Empoleon? It can solve some problems with stall teams your team will likely have with only Scizor as a sweeper.
  17. oooh, how much i wish we made a special tier on showdown with classical reborn rules that activated a random field from the start!! PD slaying dragons in that field? more like geting our butts kicked by them lol, especially by dragon dance dragonite with roost giving him no weaknesses at all and likely reactivating multiscale over and over
  18. If you want an extra fire move, try using your own Choice Band Ho-Oh, your team would apreciate the burn support and you said you want to troll GroudonP (look at your set, wich is the stantard one: what can Groudon do against Ho-Oh, exceot phaze him out and hope Regenerator does heal enough to let him switch again in the rocks? try it, he will pull his weight, especially with that excellent defogger in Giratina). It should work wonders in the place of Aegislash, as Ho-Oh is a natural Xerneas counter/(check if he has thunder and a lot of luck) stantard band: 208+ Atk Choice Band Ho-Oh Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 56+ Def Primal Groudon: 204-240 (50.4 - 59.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO all groudon will do against Ho-Oh is say "ouch, that hurts" an maybe paralyze it (not like Ho-Oh cares at all)
  19. dat 10 levels difference that boosted up guillotine's accuracy
  20. Do not try it offensive Empoleon in OU tough, ofensive Empoleon, especially that SubPetaya set that used to make Empoleon the deadliest special sweeper on DPPt is sadly something only can be used effectively on UU anymore. Trust me, I tried... (feeling nostalgia and cursing the overabundance of priority of these days)
  21. Good choices for the low tiers Xiri, I prefer Empoleon in UU as my tank tough. Fun fact: Solrock can wall freaking Primal Groudon.
  22. Lol, using setup moves in the face of Giratina, and complaining that you phaze him out, that Sarda deserved that 6-0... http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-323734337 Playing chess in pokémon. A Pawn checkmating a King is not something common http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-323736623 And a King checkmating another, even less (but is possible, with a discovered check mating the oponent).
  23. I go for Dragonite. Not even ice type moves are a sure way to OHKO it
  24. an interesting replay with the new Sand and Birdspam teams with a quite important batte lesson: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-323236414 never forget if someone Tricked you a choice item http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-323238499 in a pinch, always remember that an enemy move can miss Your rival was a newbie, that Deoxys didn't even have a focus sash, he risked (and lost) a speed tie with Salamence (so did you, Sucker Punch was much safer there), he didn't even send Pdon that counters Kangaskhan easily, and he kept the Dialga on TWO PuP. Kangaskhan is broken in OU, but is not that good in Ubers. Gengar and Salamence typically outclass it. If one single replay is enough to prove something, then Magikarp should go to Anything Goes considering how many videos on youtube show him sweeping out entire teams that lack Normal resistances with the gimmicky BellyPass+Flail combo EDIT: Mods, thanks for fixing the edit-post error. I hope you also fix the unintended (and obviously senseless) report Oh, and for the guy who sent the RB replay recently: with Level Balance, the generally awfull sets, the randomizer parties causing huge matchup issues, and the fact that the opponent was really bad; it's not surprising you won either, and either way it does not give you the rights to brag about legends, especially considering they spawned randomly instead of being purposefully included on the team. THAT; and the fact that legend=/=uber. How many freaking times i will have to say it? SECOND EDIT: I meant that Salamence and Gengar are more consistently useful than Kangaskhan, who is walled into oblivion by multiple dangerous Ubers like Pdon, Defensive Giratina, Perish trapper Gengar or any Aegislash correctly used. And the double sucker punch can break the substitute and damage Salamence, and you have Aegislash to counter the substitute variant anyway, so i keep that it was the optimal coure of action. You didn't make me "look bad", neither I want you to. I just can't stand blunders of that magnitude, nor players willing to leave the game decided entirely by the RNG, especially since the days of Swagger Prankster spam that temporarily turned the game into a glorified casino roulette throwing all the strategy trough the window. Also, still wondering why you take every friendly challenge I sent to you on a post as a direct attack to your integrity.
  25. And? the stats are still badly distributed, being an ice type thus needing speed and power
