[IC] Lightgivers - Volume 1: A Feeling
Stalkerkain replied to anethia's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Felis was enjoying the bed immensely, as he couldn't remember the last time he slept in one. After spending so much time outside of civilization, common utility objects seemed like luxuries to him. To him, it felt like bliss. Felis cracked open an eye and lazily watched the door, as he could hear footsteps approaching. It would appear that he would be meeting his new dorm mates quite soon. Just as the door opened, a white-haired girl walked through the door. Correction, the white-haired girl. Color drained from his face, as it took all his willpower not to bolt upright. He remained completely still, with all his senses alert for any sudden movement on her part. "Of all dorms, she picked this one," Felis thought to himself. His initial plan was to avoid running into Rame if possible, but that was short-lived. Considering how late she arrived, the others must have already claimed their dorms, so just getting up and leaving wasn't an option. Not to mention how rude that would be. But this was an opportunity as well. Because he found it difficult to talk with many people around, he could take this time to at least get acquainted with the girl. And to find out if he would have to sleep with an eye open each night. "Also are the dorms co-ed? Is this how things normally work?" Felis got up off his bed, and slowly made his way over to Rame, making sure not to make any sudden movements, or to sneak up on her. Just as he was halfway towards Rame's bunk, Felis froze in place, as she immediately impaled her weapon into the floor. Was that a warning to him not to come any closer? Felis shook his head. He was overthinking it. Rame wasn't even facing him, so maybe she hadn't acknowledged his presence yet. He slouched a little, to make himself appear a little shorter than he was, as he found that some people found him intimidating. When Felis was a respectable distance from her, he gave a polite cough to draw her attention. -
"Little Rose?" She didn't hate the nickname. She would have found it endearing, if it wasn't for the fact that Meredith was explaining her superiority. "Well if you could do all that, why didn't you do it the first time?" she pouted. She didn't mind so much that Meredith didn't find her skills that impressive, as there were plenty of better swordsmen than Rosalvya out there. She knew the path of achieving the title of Swordmaster was a steep one; she had barely begun her ascent, if you could call it that. But with each battle, she could feel herself improving, as well as discovering the secrets to... whatever seemed to happen when time slowed itself. Rosalvya would refer to it as "Battle Clarity" for now, in place of a better name and understanding of it. If she could master it, or at least become better at knowing how to trigger it, there wouldn't be much that could stop her on the battlefield. Until then, she would begrudgingly accept Meredith's indifference. "Yeah yeah..." she grumbled to herself. "Just be careful out there Meredith."
-
Rosalvya had appeared beside the Fighter blindingly fast. Although he seemed to notice her at the last second, the Fighter couldn't seem to read her attack. There was a moment's hesitation in his eyes, to determine where she'd attack from. But a moment was all it took, for Rosalvya to seize the opportunity. With her sword already drawn, she swung gracefully towards his neck. The blade passed cleanly past his neck, as if it took no effort on her part at all. She slowed to a casual walk, as she swung once more to clear the blood off her blade; all before the Fighter's body had hit the forest ground. Letting her pride get ahead of her, she smiled in accomplishment. "Does that change your opinion of swords now, Meredith?" "I'd like to see Radburn catch up to me now."
-
"Ah..." she grimaced, as barely any of her allies' strikes hit their mark. Anna proved to be too overwhelmed by the fighting, and she too, dropped to the floor. Before she could run over to assist Anna, Dash had beat her to it. She supposed he really lived up to his name. With the enemy forces thinned, there were only two enemies left in range. With no reinforcements in sight and the element of surprise gone, the two in the woods didn't seem to hold much of a chance. After all that fighting spirit she displayed earlier when trying to defeat that Troubadour, she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her. "Better luck next time, Meredith?" She wondered how their counterparts to the south were doing. The distance was a little too far to tell, but they had moved up considerably from their starting points. She wasn't too worried, considering they were just as capable as her group was. Before that little... skirmish, at least. She had stood observing for too long; it was time for her to make her move. She sped past Meredith, and flanked the fighter staying in the woods. Move to T4 and attack Fighter 3

Oh misread the question then. Woo! Free Nullify upon promotion! Yes. Also ask questions. Ask all the questions. As many questions as you need to! -

b-baka! quote it for me or it didn't happen! (I actually don't see it, did i miss it somehere?) Otherwise rip Edit: Try not to think of FEF like the mainstream games. No skills will be learnt upon reaching the common milestones like 1, 10, 5, 15. (E.g. At no point will you ever be able to learn Astra in FEF, whereas Swordmasters learn it at level 5 in the main series). Unless there are all these changes that I'm missing that aren't on the front page. Then welp. -

Felis stood around, hovering over the others. He couldn't help but lag behind, as he found it a little difficult to find a moment to introduce himself. Everything seemed content with chirping away, as if the events of not too long ago hadn't happened. Though, he was sure it still hung on their minds. Seeing as how the white-haired girl had chosen her dorm of choice, he decided to go to another dorm. He couldn't quite begin to trust her quite yet. But he supposed the first thing he should do was meet everyone else. And he would do that. Inside. He opened the door, peering over his shoulder as he did, to see if anyone else would follow. Shrugging his shoulders, he went inside. The furnishings of the dorm was quite bare, but that didn't bother him very much. He missed the luxury he had in Medulla, but it was just a matter of adjusting to living in the woods. Here would be no different. Eyeing the lower bunk, he lay down his greatsword, the weapon hitting the floor with a thunk, as he lay down on his back. -
Rosalvya surveyed the area, as the enemies made their move. It appeared things were moving towards their favor, as the enemy lines were slowly being pushed backwards. She moved forward, next to Saffron and Serene. She looked over to Anna, who had already sustained heavy injuries. Hang in there, Anna. There'll be a chance to rest soon. Move to P4 and Hold

One can always dream~ (and I always thought wyverns were a subspecies of dragons, but I'll take your word for it). I had hoped Saffron would advocate equality and that Ecquis would be hailed as a hero, and not that she'd banish him after she took the throne because wyverns == evil and Ecquis has five of them.

Felis merely yawned, losing interest as their instructors had forcibly ended the match. His uncle certainly wasn't wrong; there were plenty of strong Lumen users among them. But what he really was interested in, were his instructors. Each of them seemed leagues above what anyone here was capable of. Undoubtedly years of training pushed them beyond the average Lumen user. He wanted to try fighting one of them. His attention then went to the girl pinned on the ground with an arrow trained to her neck. His eyes narrowed, as he rested his gaze on her. A shiver went down his spine. What was this feeling? Was he being overly cautious? No, it was fear. He quietly let out a low chuckle, as it was something he hadn't experienced in a long time. She was dangerous, and for good reason too. Being quick to be consumed by her bloodlust, she reminded him of himself when he was younger. However, his uncle had taught him restraint and humility. Perhaps it was thanks to him, that he wouldn't end up fueled by his anger. But for now, he would have nothing to do with her. What would the instructors do now? Move on to the next set of fights? After that display, highly unlikely. He repositioned himself onto his side and feigned sleep, as he waited for all the commotion to die down. He began his breathing exercises again, and would be content with just listening on the sidelines. -
As soon as Rosalvya finished applying the Vulnerary to her wound, she took a deep breath in. And then out. It was important to steady herself throughout the battle. If she retired so early in the fight, she would only become a liability to the others. Meredith had forced the Pegasus Rider back, only to have her wounds treated by their Troubadour. Their healer would pose to be a problem if they didn't finish off the enemy properly. Being so far away, they could only hope to press them into a corner. All right, she thought, as she slapped her hands to her face to refocus herself. Time to meet up with the others. "What did I miss?" Move to M2 and Hold
-
With the next soldier too preoccupied with Meredith, Rosalvya appeared in his blind spot and struck the first blow. Most of the strike was guarded by the soldier's armor, as he only grunted in retaliation. His spear came swinging around, dealing to her a devastating blow. Once again, she was unable to dodge her opponent's attacks. The soldier was preparing to strike again, winding his lance for another attack, when the world seemed to slow down before her eyes. In this moment, her wound no longer ached, the enemy's moment became transparent, and it was time for her to strike back. Gracefully sidestepping the lance, she winded her sword arm back, and slashed at the gap in the soldier's neck. His forward momentum carried him with his lance, past her, and tumbling into the ground. Rosalvya gasped, as she was thrown back into real time. It happened again. But with time coming back normal, so did her pain. ow ow ow ow ow. She could hear Luka tell her to patch herself up, and that wasn't such a bad idea. Thanks to Luka's dance, she was able to make her way beside the dancer. "Thanks, Luka. I'll do just that." Move to H2 and use Vulnerary
