    A guy on the GTS traded me a Gible with nearly perfect IVs (the only non-perfect one being SpAtk) and Outrage and Iron Head as egg moves... There are crazy people around the GTS, I am almost ashamed of having given him One of my Vivillons...

    So let me get this straight: if you have an Imposter Ditto with perfect IVs and you give it a Destiny Knot, you can then breed basically ANYTHING and be guaranteed that, whatever you hatch, it will have at least 5 perfect IVs and a chance of having its hidden ability?

      Nope. Hidden Abilities can only be passed down by the same evolution line. Additionally, Destiny Knot allows the offspring to inherit 5 IVs from BOTH PARENTS (i.e. out of 12). Proof: I bred a 31/31/31/xx/31/xx with a 31/31/xx/31/xx/31 and the offspring was 31/31/31/31/xx/31

      Are you sure about the same evolution line thing for hidden abilities? Because I remember someone claiming otherwise somewhere in this forum, and they even provided some kind of evidence iirc...

      In Generation VI it is possible for any Pokémon, including male or genderless Pokémon, to pass down their hidden ability when bred with a Ditto. - Bulbapedia
