The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)
Flux replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Cedric sat in his office, resting his chin on his clasped hands, while his elbows were propped up on his desk. He was leaned forward, thinking about the groups he had sent out. Lux had just called for extraction, meaning that he had likely succeeded. He had sent Blue there right away. Meanwhile, there was an issue on Ace and Kenny's end. Something about the woman having friends? He was surprised that they had found her as well, much less at the same time, but he had no intention to tear her away from those who cared about her enough to attempt a prison break. He sighed, mostly because he was tired rather than from stress. Sleep had been... difficult lately. He would wait for Blue to return with Lux and Beverly, so he could meet with Ace and Kenny. (((Still waiting for Kenny to respond to Beetle's questions. No rush, but that's why I haven't updated that group again. I suppose Ace could also answer if typh wants to get things moving.))) --------------------------------------------------------- Stratos, Jory There was a flash of blue light in the darkness around the group as Blue appeared. He wore a dark blue tux that contrasted the lightness of his blue hair and eyes. Surprisingly, he did not appear startled by the darkness, but rather wore the same calm face as usual. He looked around, pausing for a moment on Anver, before returning his gaze to Lux. "Where is Beverly?" he asked simply. --------------------------------------------------------- Hukuna Just as Viktor finished speaking, he experienced a white-hot pain as a deep gash was cut into his arm from somewhere in the pitch-black. He could hear Zeus cry out in the distance -- it sounded like he was farther away now. There was a maniacal laughter that echoed in the distance, as the deeds were done. It was impossible to tell where the silent attacker was coming from, the darkness was so overwhelming. "Come on, beg!" a voice called out. "Let me see you squirm!" -
Under the Hill - Fourth Circle: Greed [IC]
Flux replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Phantom stopped in his tracks as a young woman rounded the corner. He recognized her from the other circles, but he was perplexed as to why she was in the bank. She held the little girl in her arms, who appeared to be waking up. A look of alarm appeared on her face as she spotted Annie and himself, and Phantom needed no more proof that something was up. He had seen how dangerous some of the others were; their abilities were far more destructive than his own, and he had no desire to do battle with them. He could hear the woman calling out to someone as he disappeared into the mirror dimension, leaving no trace behind.- 303 replies

Pokémon: Aftermath #3a - In the Thin Ice [IC]
Flux replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Flux smiled as Fria rambled on. He enjoyed conversation, but even he was having a bit of trouble keeping up with her. Still, he enjoyed speaking to someone who could be so enthusiastic in these times. They talked for a while, before Fria stopped, a worried look on her face. "Uuuh... oh. I.. Think I got a little too carried on. Guess we should try and go back to find them, eh?" Almost as if the weather itself knew what she was thinking, a sudden blizzard obscured their view. "...Aand we better do that fast." Flux gave a reassuring smile. "Oh, I wouldn't worry about the others. They're still young and filled with energy. And I've got you to lead me back, right?" He gave a wink. "Fria, the snow guide and Flux the professor. What do we have to fear?"- 478 replies

Ok, so I won't be home for pretty much all of today, so I'll have to push updates for this to tomorrow, when I'll have internet access again. (I pretty much just have time to write this before I go.) Personally, a lot of the abilities I've given to NPCs don't necessarily have a reason proven by Physics as to how they work. For example, Zweiss's ability to control gravity doesn't really have any explanation supported by Physics. There's no way a human could do that without it basically being "magic" for lack of a better word. Now, granted, his ability is still limited by Physics and directly relates to the laws of Physics in how he uses it, but the fact of how he does it is not supported. I'm not sure if that's quite what you meant, but if you feel that you still aren't satisfied with your description of his abilities, feel free to rewrite them. -
I can confirm the greatness of these two games. I've played the original Binding of Isaac, so I'd assume Rebirth to be even better based on what I've read of the added content. Super Meat Boy is an amazingly fun platformer. It gets crazy difficult when you get to the further levels, but it's extremely satisfying when you finally beat one of them. I've poured almost 200 hours into Dark Souls 2 and would highly recommend it to anyway who would enjoy a challenging Action RPG. The Lore and story are interesting, and are presented to you through the descriptions of items and armor more than the game itself. The combat is very fun and gets your adrenaline going, and the armor just looks badass. The Portal games are must-haves for anyone who even remotely enjoys a puzzle game. The atmosphere is amazing, the gameplay is top-notch, the aesthetics are beautiful, and you get GLaDOS. Skyrim is a great game if you enjoy a massive amount of lore and the action/adventure free-roam RPG style, though I must say that the combat is a letdown after playing games like Dark Souls and Devil May Cry. The mods for this game increase the experience tenfold. On the note of Devil May Cry, I would highly recommend the Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. The combat system is amazing deep and fun, allowing you to play simply or complicated and rewarding depending on your skill. Since the game is a prequel, you don't need to play the first two games to have any understanding of the story. (You actually don't need to play the second game at all, really.) Castle Crashers is a good game to get if you have a friend to play with, as it gets boring after the first playthrough if you're playing alone. Super Hexagon is an inexpensive game that is great if you only have a few minutes that you want to spend doing something. It's extremely difficult, yet somewhat addicting. And I think I'll end with Terraria. Terraria is an interesting game, that most closely resembles a 2D Minecraft. There is a ton of stuff to create, and your world is randomly generated. There are enemies and bosses to fight, and the deeper you dig, the better resources and more difficult enemies you will find. There is multiplayer, though it's a bit complicated to figure out at first.

The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)
Flux replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Hukuna "Cyrus..." Poseidon started. "He is confirmed to be deceased. I killed him directly after the explosion." Zeus nodded in confirmation. "Feel free to tag along. I have a feeling that the party's nearly over..." Just as Zeus had finished speaking, the world went dark in the front courtyard. It was as if all light had been sucked away, leaving the courtyard so dark that one could not even see their own hands. There was instant panic, civilians screaming and the sound of rushing people frantically trying to escape the darkness. There was a crackle of electricity from Zeus' direction, but the spark cast no light into the darkness. Laughter could be heard echoing around the place. "Ah, more fun for me! How beautiful the darkness is!" -------------------------------------------------- typhlosionrulez There was another pause on Cedric's end before he replied. "Give me a minute. I'll be right over," (((Just waiting on a response from Kenny for the other group))) -

Hukuna Zeus and Poseidon could be seen in the distance, next to the fountain in the central gardens. There was a group of 6 hostiles closing in on them, but the duo did not move. Poseidon's chin was tilted up towards the sky, his eyes closed in concentration. Zeus simply watched him, a calm look on his face. The sky darkened as the hostiles closed the gap, the clouds in the sky being pulled together from the air itself, their whiteness darkening to nearly black as more and more moisture was pulled in. The air by the ground became dry and brittle as the moisture was pulled away, and the stars faded behind the now black sky. In a fraction of a second, a torrential downpour began, all the moisture that had been taken being released in rainfall. Zeus smiled, stepping in front of the exhausted Poseidon, who was now kneeling. Zeus stretched out an open palm, feeling the raindrops against his skin as electricity crackled between his fingers. In an instant, it spread across the air, linking from raindrop to raindrop, the chain lightning striking down those that rushed at the pair. The assailants fell to the ground, their clothes charred black from the heat that had passed through them. Zeus extended a hand, helping Poseidon back to his feet. The duo walked on, disappearing behind a crowd of citizens equally scared and awed. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Stratos, Jory "That might do the trick. You'll have to talk it out with the boss. For now, we should get out of here, though I doubt that will be easy with the events taking place outside." Almost as if on cue, a downpour of rain began, blackening the skies with its clouds. -
Attack on Titan Tribute Game! (Sign-Up/Interest Check)
Flux replied to Arkhi's topic in Gaming General
I think I abuse the Levi skill... I just love it too much, especially with the changes to it. The new momentum allows for a variety of tricks. You can even use it to curve around a titan from the front for a kill if you do it right... I might have to make a video of some of these at some point. I've made it my goal to master the Levi skill... -

Stratos, Jory The Bartender was silent for a time. He appeared to be thinking deeply about something, and when he finally looked back into Anver's eyes, there was sympathy and determination across his face. "Listen..." he began, "I think that we may be able to help you. I'm inclined to believe your story. After all, if you were here to kill me, you probably would have done it by now." Unless Lux is the deciding factor... "I work for a large group of Awakened, perhaps large enough to even risk an infiltration on Utopia. If you can convince the boss, he may be willing to send in a group to attempt a rescue." He paused. "Of course, we would need to be guaranteed something in return for this risk, assuming that the boss agrees to it in the first place... These are our members lives that we would be risking." -

It'll be interesting to see just how things will work out now... Though I suppose this is a good chance for Anver. Just post when you can, as long as you're interested. If need be, we can bunny Beverly, though right now you can pretty much enter the scene at any time, or do something else if you'd prefer. Also, I just realized that I forgot to update Hukuna, so I'll go edit that in now... -

Arkhidon "Do what you want. I can't- won't kill someone." Hades sighed, tapping his foot impatiently. "Look here kid, you already did. Now the sooner we get the last guy, the sooner we can leave. If we stop now, then what was the point of you killing them? We're here for their leader, and he's still here somewhere. And if you really don't want to kill anybody, then I'll do it. You just have to be a distraction so I can get close." ------------------------------------------------------------- Jory, Stratos The Bartender frowned at the mention of Utopia. "I do know a bit about them..." he started. "We had a conflict with them a while back, and I was involved in the battle. They started as a small group, people who weren't happy with the way the government was handling the Awakened. They took things to the extreme over time, slowly coming to believe that the Awakened were superior to ordinary humans, and that they should be the ones in charge. They began gaining members rapidly, taking whoever they could get, most of their members being those of us who have lost their conscience from their power. They're led by a man called Zweiss, according to... our boss." He was avoiding using Cedric's name in front of the other man. "I've never met him, but he's apparently pretty charismatic, and very powerful. They've become more active as of late, though nobody's really sure what their goals are besides dominating the human race." He stopped, giving Anver a glance. "Anyway, what about them?" --------------------------------------------------------------- typhlosionrulez Cedric responded after a few seconds. "Friends you say? Where are you? I'll have Blue take me over." --------------------------------------------------------------- K_H, Snap Crackle Pop, King Murdoc Beetle frowned. "What do you want with Rebecca? And how is this tied to the Pillar?" ------------------------------------------------------------- Hukuna "The... explosion..." The man gasped between cries of pain. "It was... Cyrus... but he's... dead now... Please, make it stop!" -

Flux's expression was an unchanging beaming smile as they trudged through the snow. He had on thick snowpants, mittens, and a puffy white coat. His long black and yellow bangs stuck out as he pulled up his fur-lined hood, and he couldn't help but think that he must look like an eskimo. He seemed unaffected by the cold, trudging forward and past much of the group until he stood a short distance behind Fria. He smiled as he walked next to her. "Fria, right?" he started. "My name is Flux, and I used to be a professor and researcher in my region before Dawn invaded. It's been a while since I last traveled far enough to see snow, but it's just as beautiful as I remember..."- 478 replies

The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)
Flux replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Arkhidon It was about two minutes before Hades returned. He came around the corner, dusting off his lab coat with his hands. He appeared unharmed, and there was no blood to stain his white coat. "You know, you were supposed to get the two that follo-" He stopped when he saw Keaton leaning against the wall. His first thought was that he had been hit. But as he looked closer he could see that that was not the case. No... he had the look of somebody who had killed for the first time. Upon looking into the other room, Hades' suspicion was confirmed. The two men were lying in pools of their own blood. The boy had taken it roughly. He was a little surprised, considering the lack of emotion Keaton had shown when Hades had killed the two men from earlier. Perhaps it had been the lack of blood that had made that alright? Or perhaps it was the fact that Keaton himself had killed these men. Hades shrugged. Human emotions weren't his specialty. Either way, the test was pretty much complete. "Hey, Keaton." He nudged him with his foot. "According to your map we still have one more room to clear. And there's still one Awakened unaccounted for. Like it or not, we have to finish this."
