"I myself fired three shots from my pistol," Garen started. "That was during the battle with the bird." He wasn't sure if that would be interpreted well by the Commander or not, but he figured it was best to be honest. He could always give an explanation if asked.

Jory, Stratos The bartender entered the doorway, finding the room around the bar in shambles. Almost all of the tables were overturned. Luckily, he seemed to have found Lux, though he was accompanied by someone that he didn't recognize. "Ah, Lux, there you are. I've been looking for you and Beverly. Thank goodness you aren't injured... but where's Beverly? And who's your friend here?" (((Just realized that you left Beverly in the room upstairs, but I posted that she wasn't there... Oh well. We'll assume she moved somewhere for now.)))

Jory, Stratos The Bartender had left his place as soon as he could after the explosion. He was looking for Lux and Beverly, trying to make sure they were all right and had the information they needed. He figured that the best course of action would be to get out of here NOW. He didn't what was going on or why, but he had a few suspicions. He finished walking up the stairs, where he had seen Lux and Beverly heading. However, the rooms all appeared empty. He must have missed them somehow... He began moving back downstairs towards the bar. Perhaps they had gone to look for him as well?

Garren nodded. "Yes sir." He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath as he readied himself to explain the event. "After we were separated from Major Bane, we continued north as we had been instructed, following the navigation systems of our suits. After we had been doing this for some time -- LIkely a few hours, and far longer than it should have taken to walk a mile -- I began to have my doubts as to the integrity of the technology of the suits. Others on the team agreed that something was wrong with either Major Bane's directions or the technology of our suits -- I personally suspected the latter. We lost all communication via our helmets shortly afterward -- at least, that's when we noticed it. We may have been without it long before then. Around the same time, we were ambushed by some sort of large bird. I wasn't able to get a close look at it, but I can say that it absorbed the electricity from Kenshin's arc blaster with seemingly no injuries, which is something I wouldn't expect normal wildlife to be able to do. We engaged in combat with the beast for a time, before it eventually flew away. Around that time, power returned to our helmet and I received word from Major Bane. We were then picked up by the transport, and you know the rest."

Hukuna The man cried out in pain, covering his eyes with his hands as he fell to his knees. "Agh! It hurts! It huuuuuurts!!!!" He was helpless to whatever Viktor was planning to do to him next.

I don't mean to triple post, but I'd like to get a show of hands as to who's still interested in this. Some of you seem to have disappeared... I realize it's been nearly dead for a while, so much of that is my fault, but I'm going to be trying to keep up with this a bit more. We're nearing the main event of the chapter, so things should be getting exciting when all the groups slowly come together...

Jory, rustytengo "The Arms division..." Mr. Taylor began. "Well, you see... we're responsible fo--" He was cut off as a deafening explosion sounded outside the building. The manor itself seemed to shake from whatever had caused the noise. "The hell was that?!" Mr. Taylor stood up quickly, alarm evident on his face. He rushed out of the room, already grabbing his phone from his pocket as he disappeared into the panicked crowd in the hall below. It appeared that would be all the information they'd be getting from him. Something else was happening now... ------------------------------------------------- Hukuna Zeus and Poseidon looked at each other and to Viktor as the blast sounded. It was an unexpected case, but they had a job to do now. Zeus nodded to Viktor. "All right. It's time for us to act. This will be your first mission as a member of Olympus. Impress us." That being said, he rushed outside the entrance hall, Poseidon close behind. ----------------------------------------------------------- Stratos The explosion was deafening. The front gates were blown off of their hinges, flying through the air and landing in the central fountain. There was instant panic, adding to the mayhem. Men and women rushed through the front gates, coming into the manor, not leaving. It was clear that they were the attackers. The man who had caused the explosion stood at the gates, a maniacal grin on his face. Smoke was coming from his hands, an aftereffect of the attack. Before Anver could get a better look, the man was dropped. Blood pooled from a hole in his head. Perhaps the chaos would be the diversion Anver was looking for, giving him a free shot at the Bartender. Or perhaps... ---------------------------------------------------------- Hukuna (again) Poseidon dropped his raised hand, the explosive threat being no more. His attack had been simple, but effective. He had pulled moisture from the air, creating a tiny droplet of water. He had condensed that water and launched it through the air at high speed, effectively turning it into a bullet. The man had dropped before he even knew what hit him. Zeus turned around to face Viktor. "Take care of those who appear to be the most dangerous first. I suspect that most of those who entered the manor grounds are Awakened, likely from the group Utopia. We've had problems with them before. I don't know what they're after, but our primary goal is to ensure the safety of the citizens." He took a look around. "Split off on your own. You're more than capable of handling yourself from what I've heard of you. I'll be with Poseidon if you need us. My ability is much more effective with him nearby. I don't have time for a full explanation, but the gist of it is that I can control and create electricity, but I can only pass it from my body through objects of high conductivity -- so no long range lightning bolts for me." He waved a hand. "Anyway, we need to get moving. Good luck." Just as Zeus and Poseidon left, a man approached Viktor. He had a wicked smile on his face. "You must be an Awakened," he began. "Listen, I'll make you an offer okay? You can join us, or I can kill you here. What do you think?" --------------------------------------------------- Arkhidon Hades laughed. "Oh, Keaton. It's good to know you think so much of me. However, I can't kill from long range. We'll draw them out here. I'll do what I can from there." Without further ado, Hades opened the door, calling out to the guards inside. "Yoohoo! You have a visitor!" As they turned, weapons raised, Hades sprinted out of the room and down the other side of the split hallway, giving Keaton a wink as he passed. If they followed him, they'd be open to an attack from behind by Keaton. ((You can have some control of these guys. They're minor foes, so it doesn't make as big of a difference.)) ----------------------------------------------------------- typhlosionrulez Lawrence was startled by the man's words, but they were already moving before he could protest. They moved at impossible speeds, stopping abruptly at the forest in what seemed like no time at all. "That was... fast..." Lawrence managed, out of breath from the shock of it. He looked up to see the young man from earlier with Rebecca at his feet. ------------------------------------------------- Snap Crackle Pop, King Murdoc Beetle looked around. Nexus was behind them, and he could see Eugene standing from the rubble, along with Alan. His grandfather had been talking to some man, and the both of them had abruptly disappeared. "I think we're all here besides my grandfather..." he said to Alice. "I suspect Nexus can get us out of here a bit quicker though." He turned to the hooded man. "Nexus, can you make a portal back to the forest? Rebecca's not here anymore. We'll have to start looking from there." Nexus simply nodded, silently outstretching a hand, and a portal appeared. He stepped through, accompanied by Beetle as the others followed. ------------------------------------ Kenny Lawrence was startled as Beetle and the others appeared from a portal. He wasn't sure how they knew where he was, but he was glad they were all together again. Beetle appeared equally surprised to see his grandfather here, as well as Rebecca. Beetle looked right at Kenny. "May I ask where you're planning on taking her? I thought we had a truce."

Ame uses Graphics Gale, but I personally prefer Gimp. It can do more in general, and it's simpler for spriting in my opinion.

Thinking I might make another sprite of Flux like I did waaaay back in the beginning, but this time in winter gear. I imagine him in a big puffy coat. ^^

Flux smiled at Lupus, giving a short wave as he walked by. "Nice meeting you!" He called out cheerily. He could be heard singing softly as he walked into the next room, ready to get changed. "...Oh, how I do love the snow~!"

Update will be coming soon. It's likely that it may get pushed to next week though, as times when I can manage to log on here are limited. I'll try to see if I can do it sometime tomorrow, but otherwise it will likely be pushed to next week sometime.

Devil May Cry and Dark Souls would be interesting. Just so I could watch Dante beat all the bosses I hate without breaking a sweat.

Well, I realize that's what WE are using, but I was hoping to get some actual confirmation from Amethyst that yes, this is the color scheme she wants.

Well, since Ame likes the white one I guess I don't need to worry about fixing the annoying Poochyena clashing colors. I don't mean to persist in asking this, but are we using the blue Aggron scheme then? I'm assuming so, as I haven't heard otherwise, but I wanted to make sure that we don't need to finish up matching Aron to some other color.

Flux - Fluxator I might get a +, but I still don't really understand what being a voiced user means...

I'll get to work on finishing the Mightyena line. Poochyena will be a bit awkward to blend though, since the black on his face is all the same shade...

Flux waved as he came to Miki and Sarcus. "Hello again," he began with a grin. "How are the more youthful members of the covert ops squad doing? It's good to know that we all made it out intact."

Well, I tried to do a white Mightyena, but I couldn't get anything that looked even halfway decent to put here, so I ended up making this. In hindsight, it's kind of Zoroark themed, which might not be a bad idea if Ame doesn't mind switching from white.

I feel the same way... I'd love to live in a fantasy world like that, whether you die in real life or not. When you think about it, it's no different from the rules of the real world -- when you die, you're dead.

So... this is a completely fan-made song written about Dark Souls... It's actually really good, and sounds like a studio quality track. It's even better if you know what the lyrics mean, but good either way.
