  1. Nivia is really troubled as Blaze pointed out the direction of the mountain. Sure, she doesn't mind flopping around on land to get to another water source, but flopping on land period is not her cup of tea, for several reasons. One, and most importantly, traveling on land would soil her beautiful white coat. That is, and always will be, a huge no-no if Nivia could help it. Two, she would look awkward. A Dewgong on land is, literally, a fish out of water. And that leads to point number three: Potential danger on land. Since she has no legs nor wings, she would not be able to escape as quickly as Theo or Blaze would. Nivia still remembered those poachers' reactions when she was dropped out of nowhere. It only brings up bad memories. She swished her tail, undecided on whether she would prefer being alone or travel on land. "Lady Nivia, Me and Blaze will go on ahead and see if we cannot find something, that is if you don't want to go on land. If you won't be accompanying us, I want you to have this." With that, Nivia watched as Theo pulled a delicate, but elaborately designed horn from his bag of goodies. She gasped in awe at such a beautiful, little masterpiece. As the sun's rays hit the copper piece of the horn, they illuminated the intricate details of the Arcanine head, glowing softly in all of its glory. "It will make a huge sound if you get into any trouble, and hopefully I will be able to get to you in time to aid you if need be." Nivia was touched by Theo's considerate gesture. She recalled how the Pancham was so reluctant to part with his beloved antiques. Considering that he brought this particular horn with him must have meant that it was important. Oh, the Dewgong could think of the practical uses of this horn, especially out in the wilderness, but she doubt Theo only brought it with them just for the sake of security. Considering how Theo was willing to depart with such an important treasure, Nivia didn't have the heart to take it from him for her selfish reasoning, no matter how scared she is at the thought of being alone again. After what Theo had done for her, she can't just take it away. Nivia shook her head. "No, dear Theo. You two will need this more than I do. You may be strong, but Blaze," she glanced at the little Cyndaquil, "Is still too inexperienced in dealing with the world we are in. I doubt he even saw how cruel the humans or the Pokemon are around here. Oh, Arceus, I doubt he ever had a battle before. As for me, I do prefer swimming than... For the lack of better terms... "Walking" to the mountain for a few reasons. However," Nivia propelled herself off of the water's edge, "I will accompany you, both, to the beach. As of right now, I am considering about staying here in the waters. If the distance doesn't prove to be too lengthy or if other circumstances arise, perhaps I will change my mind."
  2. That might not be a bad idea. Kyte can dig outside of the building so that nobody will hear it (much).
  3. I am so sorry for not being around lately. I had to study for my midterms and work is being a huge pain because it is tax season. I will get back on track and catch up after this coming Monday!
  4. Unfortunately, Raito does not have the capability to knock down doors without causing a commotion. And Jolteons are not the tallest of the Eeveelutions...
  5. "It's nice to meet you, little Blaze." Nivia greeted politely. She frowned a little when he asked about the mountain though; the Dewgong recalled that Theo also mentioned this mountain but she hasn't been able to see it at all. Yet, her gut is telling her that this mountain is important; they have to find it, no matter what. "Dear Theo has also mentioned this mountain while we were still in the forest. Unfortunately, I have not been able to see it due to the trees blocking my... limited view. Can you point us to the direction of this mountain? Then, I propose that we can all go there together and find the solutions to our unanswered questions. That is..." Nivia showed her tail, "If you don't mind traveling by the river due to my flippers. I promise I won't splash as much while you are with us."
  6. "All that dear Theo just told you is true. As for me," Nivia gestured to herself with one of her flippers, "My name is Nivia. My home happens to be Lilycove City, where I participate in beauty contests with my human partner, Celestia. I was celebrated and loved by all humans. However, I was, somehow, transported here in the middle of nowhere where I suddenly became the hunted and hated." Seeing how nervous the little Cyndaquil is, Nivia decided to try and put his mind at ease. She drifted to the middle of the river and fired off a dazzling Aurora Beam towards the sky, showering the trio with the colors of the rainbow. The contest Pokemon then returned to her previous spot. "There now, no need to be afraid. We are not the cause of that nasty wind from the forest. After all, how can something that disgusting fire off something this pretty?"
  7. "Be careful!" Nivia shouted as Theo approached what seems to be a small, blue object out on the land. This time, Nivia chose to stay in the water, just in case they needed a quick escape again. She watched as her Pancham friend rolled an Oran Berry out to this blue blob and spoke softly to it. The Dewgong tried moving her head this way and that, hoping to get a better view of this new object. Whatever it is, Theo didn't seem intimidated by it, so it must be okay. With that, Nivia swam a little upstream to get a better look at it. That it turned out to be a young, or just very scared, Cyndaquil trying to camouflage itself on the green meadow. Nivia laughed out loud at the Pokemon's silliness. "You silly Cyndaquil, you can't hide on green grass when your back is blue. It just doesn't work that way."
  8. There is a camera right above the group once they walk through the door, if that helps. (I think Jon also mentioned it too)
  9. Nivia began feeling less and less pressure as she continued swimming downstream, minus the small load on her back, of course. After what seemed like a few minutes, Nivia finally slowed down and began to check her surroundings. There were less trees and more open plains; there was a slight, more comfortable breeze coming in from further down the river. The water Pokemon swimming down below also seemed more relaxed, some Magikarp even came up for a gulp of air. Nivia sighed with relief; safety seems to be around the corner, for now. She swam at a more leisurely pace, gathering herself for the next sprint if necessary. "Theo, from the looks of things, I believe we are safe, even if it is for a few minutes. The Magikarp and some Finneon look well from down here. Do you see anything from up there?"
  10. "No, no. Of course not! W-We could always use m-more brains!" Miki laughed quietly. "But, still," she looked to Flux and the others, "I-if something is bothering you, o-or anybody here, j-just let us know. At least one of us has to h-have a s-solution." She then went to the front of the line with Raito in tow. "S-Since Flux said it is okay, let's not waste any more time. The m-main team is probably depending on us to shut down the defenses here. Once Raito is done shorting the d-drones, Flux will have to loop the footage q-quickly before a-anyone finds out about the d-drones not moving... So, Raito," Miki commanded her Jolteon, who perked up at the sound of his name, "Use Agility and Discharge as you run around this floor; short circuit those drones." Raito gave a bark of approval and sped off once again into the prison. The sounds of electricity could be heard as Raito unleashed Discharges, effectively paralyzing the robots for a short period of time. The Jolteon was by their side once again with a happy grin on his face. Miki gave him a scratch. "Flux, i-it's your time to shine. We will c-cover you just in case someone comes down the stairs or s-something."
  11. As the others are discussing the plan (which is definitely better than her rash one), Miki couldn't help but notice Flux's hesitancy when asked about the processing power. Given that the fact that Flux was a scientist, Miki doubt that Flux was contemplating on whether or not that fixing cameras was a part of his expertise. But, then, what is? "Perhaps it has to do with what he will be using, or doing, to mess them up?" "H-Hey guys, I-I don't mind, a-and neither does Raito here, short circuiting the drones in there b-but," she directed the last part of her statement towards Flux, "A-Are you sure it would b-be okay for y-you to hack into the system? I-I couldn't help but notice you hesitating before. I-If it's not convenient or something, y-you should tell us. I mean, m-maybe we can f-find another way... And, ummm... Sorry if I-I seemed nosy..." Miki immediately went to petting her Jolteon, avoiding everyone's gaze.
  12. Nivia sighed in relief as they hit the water's surface. Being back in her own element made her feel that nothing can stop her now, despite the ominous wind's presence. She can feel her flippers adjusting to the rushing torrent of water as the other water Pokemon swam past Theo and herself, finding a right balance to avoid being toppled over while still being able to maintain a fast speed. "Let's see if that wind can match this!" Nivia exclaimed arrogantly as she began swimming downstream. "Hang on tight, my friend!"
  13. Nivia was stunned as the Trevenant and other Pokemon quickly fled right past her. "If it is not the Trevenant that is causing this, then what is?" she thought. Then, a sudden, frightful chill swept through her. It was nothing like anything she has experienced before. Not even facing a grass type has caused her to panic this much in a battle. "This is not good. No wonder everyone is fleeing." "We need to be out of here Lady Nivia, I suggest we get to the river now!" As Theo ran towards the river, Nivia began flopping after her, but quickly realizing that she is not going to make too much progress. "Ugh, I knew I should have waited in the river..." Nivia said to herself. "Now what can I do so that I can catch up?" As she thought, Nivia saw a small line of Taillow flying in a straight line in the sky; she remembered an old trick her human told her to use in a contest to make beautiful sculptures with her Ice Beam. It was also a way for Nivia to get out of the line of attacks easily on land. "Well, it is worth a shot." Quickly, Nivia concentrated on forming an Ice Beam from her mouth. When the glowing, light-blue hue formed into a huge ball, the Dewgong directed towards the ground in front of her and directed it towards the river, making a straight path towards the river. As soon as it was close enough to the water, Nivia released her concentration and slid on the icy path, calling out to Theo as she slid past him. "Hurry! Slide on the path and hop on my back!"
  14. As soon as Theo finished his remark, Nivia also felt the strange sensation. "So much for admiring our handywork," Nivia thought. The Dewgong felt as if she was being watched by someone, or something, and that thing did not seem friendly. She immediately got into her battle stance and looked behind her. "From my experience, it doesn't feel like an Ice type. Ice type moves only make you feel cold, and I'm immune to it. But since I am feeling it too..." She turned to Theo. "Be on your guard and watch my back. I have a feeling that it might be those trees you have mentioned before." Then, in a lower voice, she whispered, "We need to get to the river as soon as possible. They will not be able to catch us while we go downstream. I'll try to talk to them while we move." Nivia cleared her throat as she started inching towards the river. "Good afternoon, whomever you are. I do hope we have not disturbed you, we meant no harm. If you do not mind, would you please address us formally so that we can have a friendly conversation?"
  15. Nivia looked back at Theo as he hesitated in at the entrance of his home. The clocks, the drawers, the reservoir, the food... Nivia can tell that the little Pokemon really put a lot of effort and time into this cozy home. It is no wonder to the Dewgong that he is saddened by the departure. After all, there is no place safer than what we each call home. Nivia went over and put a front flipper over Theo's shoulder, trying to soothe the Pancham. Then, as she looked back into Theo's home, she came up with an idea. "Dear Theodore, I can tell that you have put a lot of time and effort into this home. It would sadden me if we ever came back and find this place in ruins. How about this? We can move a few fallen tree trunks or something to hide the entrance to avoid detection by the neighboring Pokemon. I doubt any human will fit into this small of an entrance, so we don't need to worry about human messing it up. Since we did just get some much needed rest, we can put that energy into good use! The traveling can wait; protecting something important to you always comes first! How about it?" With that, Nivia began pushing herself towards a fallen tree trunk lying nearby. Then, she backed herself up and headbutted the said tree trunk into the direction of Theo's home. It landed next to Theo, just inches away from his face. "Oops, that was close." Nivia chuckled.
  16. Nivia woke up groggily to the sound of Theo's voice. Slowly, she began stretching her limbs, checking to see if the Rest worked its magic. As she got to her hind flipper muscles, Nivia held her breath. She swished her tail back and forth and, with a whack on the reservoir water, she was happy to find out that she is back to full health. The Dewgong beamed happily at the results and climbed out of the water, taking a good look at Theo for the first time since her sleep. At the sight of Theo's little hat, the monocle, and the satchel around his shoulder, Nivia had to suppress a grin. It was amusing to see a mature Pokemon like Theo dressed up like an explorer ready to go on a hiking trip. Nevertheless, she suppressed her opinions. Those things could come in handy after all. "Yes, I am ready. How long have I been asleep?" she asked as she made her way to the entrance with much more ease.
  17. The Dewgong nodded respectably at Theo's explanation of the Trevenant groups. She was grateful, yet nervous, to know that not all of the Trevenant were peaceful Pokemon. It will help her to be on her guard even more while she is still in the woods. "Even if we encounter those naive trees, I doubt they can stand up to my icy moves. We should be fine." she thought, haughtily. As the duo arrived at Theo's home, Nivia felt herself relax at the comfortable atmosphere. It was quiet, yet homely and safe. The faint aroma of spices and ticks were not enough to bother her. In fact, Nivia believed that it could help break the mood whenever one should feel lonely. Nivia was quite impressed at the home her friend had managed to set up in the middle of these unforgiving woods. "Luckily for you Miss Nivia there is a reservoir of water inside, it is usually where I store drinking water, however as we will be traveling, I won't be able to carry it all, feel free to wade in it for now, and rest your flippers while I pack up supplies." Nivia looked towards the said water reservoir that is located in the back of the cave and proceeded towards it. Upon seeing that the water is crystal clear, she carefully lowered herself into it and turned to watch her companion pack up. "I am really grateful to you for providing not only information about these woods, but also for your generosity, dear Theo. For that, you can be sure that I will do my best to keep us alive. That, of course, includes fending off the nasty group of Trevenants. I should be able to keep them away very easily with an Ice Beam or two. But before that," Nivia said closed her eyes as a soft glow began to appear around her body, "You have reminded me of a useful move that can help heal my sore flipper. It has been so long since my human partner allowed me to use that move that I had forgotten all about it until now. Please let me know when you are done and I will get up from my Rest." With that, Nivia fell silent and seemed to be in a deep sleep.
  18. As soon as Miki settled herself between Jon and Flux, she nodded to Raito to begin his round of the first floor. Raito grinned and sped off in a bright yellow flash. ----------------------------------------- After a minute, Raito appeared right beside Miki once more and sat in front of her. Miki looked towards Raito; 6 quick sparks flew out. Miki is puzzled; the floor plan didn't make the building seem so big on the inside. The building is rectangular, after all. She decided to question it later. As she was about to count, however, Raito gave out one spark and looked up towards his left side. "One camera right in front of the door," Miki said whispered quietly to the others. Then, the Japanese girl started counting. 1 finger - One spark and a paw to the right. 2 fingers - One spark again, but pointed upwards. At the count of 3, however, Raito let out two sparks and pointed both left and right directions. "All drones?" Miki questioned her Jolteon. Raito twitched his left ear as confirmation. At 4 fingers, Raito gave out the final spark and looked upwards. Miki frowned. "Did you start out by going straight ahead from where we were standing?" Raito's ear twitched again. "Okay, did you happen to see any open doors? Or, even better, the control room?" This time, it is Raito who gave a frowned and shook his head. Miki turned to look at her companions to summarize. "All right then. S-So, the floor plan of this building is rectangular. Raito was giving me the information based on his route. S-Since he went straight ahead, w-what he is giving me is based on what he saw on his way back. First, there is a camera right above us after we enter this door. Second, down the first turn, there will be a drone stalking the place. Third, another camera down another turn. And, finally, on Raito's w-way back, are two drones. Unfortunately, Raito couldn't find any open doors so he can't find the control room to make our lives easier. I'd say that we either we take out the cameras and drones and risk someone finding out, or Maple can absorb the lights and creep inside until we can get to that control room. Any ideas?"
  19. "Trevenant?" Nivia asked. "Aren't they those ghost-like trees crawling around like they own the place?" She frowned a little at the situation. Nivia would rather stay at her spot to give her hind flipper some rest before the journey down but, on the other hand, she didn't want to risk losing a newly-found comrade right off the bat. Nivia, herself, can just fire off a blast of Icy Wind to scare them off easily. The Dewgong swished her tail back and forth, testing out her strength. It still ached her somewhat; the food and the sunlight must have helped it recuperate. Nivia figured that she could follow. Awkwardly, Nivia began flopping behind Theo, putting most of the pressure on her front flippers. "How bad could those Trevenant be? Surely, they would be nice enough to negotiate or something, wouldn't they?"
  20. Nivia felt her heart sank as Theo told her the painful news. Help does not come easy to the spoiled Dewgong these days. Despite that, she did manage to listen to his side of the story and was quite surprised to learn that he didn't know about his own past. Has that rift messed up everyone and everything? After a careful examination of Theo's pocketwatch, Nivia nodded sympathetically, then turned to find the said mountain, only to see a blue sky. Confused, Nivia returned to the now calm river to see if there was something in the distance. "Dear Theodore, I am afraid that the mountain you have mentioned is... gone, at least from my perspective. Please, come take a look. Perhaps that rift has swallowed it, or I might have missed something." Then, she pondered on Theo's suggestion. Nivia was certainly taken aback when he addressed her as "Lady Nivia," although she didn't show it. She was quite impressed by his politeness; it has been a while since she found someone this agreeable since she got here. And, from the Pancham's glances, she can tell that he is not too comfortable around others. The fact that he suggested about traveling together gave Nivia a sense of importance and respect for the little Pokemon. "Considering the circumstances I am in, it might be best to travel together," Nivia thought to herself. "Having a polite and agreeable companion will certainly makes things more lively, which is always a plus. Perhaps, together, we can find out more answers than the ones we seek." "Regardless of whether there is a mountain or not, however, I am willing to accept your invitation. Two heads are better than one for thinking and we can look out for one another. There is only one problem," Nivia showed him her flowy tail and her front flippers, "Since I have no legs, I am quite restricted to traveling by water. All of the exploring on land will have to be done by you. Of course, I can compensate by transporting you on my back when we travel by river and I can do the exploring in water sources. If you don't mind my limitations," Nivia glanced at the kookoo clock, "We can start by traveling to your home so that you can put your clock in a safe place."
  21. Nivia perked up when she heard the words "last night." She wondered if this Pancham (Theo he called himself) was one who caused the disturbance while she was trying to sleep; her irritation threatened to flare up again at that thought. "Oh, wait now, Nivia. It is always bad to jump to conclusions, as I had learned in battle contests. This should be no different." With that thought, Nivia was calm once more. "It would be best if I question him a little more first." "Well, it's nice to meet you, Theo. My name is Nivia; I am an upcoming star in Pokemon contests, so I will not pick a fight unless you have irritated me. And, luckily for you, you have not. So, you can put your clock down so I can see you properly. Regarding your comment on not seeing a Dewgong before, that is quite reasonable for you to say so. You see, this is because I am not from here. For some strange reason, I was... How should I put it... Teleported here while I was with my coordinator in Lilycove City. I was just training for the Master Rank Beauty Contest when, all of a sudden, there was an earthquake! The next thing I know, there was a... weird, black rift of some sorts and just like that - Poof! - I landed here in some forest. Of course, I did try to find some human to help me get back to Lilycove, but they seem to want to kill me! The nerve, I say," Nivia said, shaking her head in disgust. "This actually leads me to a few questions. The most important question: Where am I? Secondly, How can I get back to Lilycove City? Third--" Nivia then felt the water currents churn uneasily while the ground underneath Theo shook with terrible tremors. The Dewgong quickly tore herself out of the water to prevent herself from being swept away. She then looked up towards the sky to find a familiar, black vortex that tore her away from her home. And, just like that, it disappeared. Nivia gasped and turned towards Theo. "Did you see that? In the sky? That was the reason why I ended up here! What is it? What is going on?!" Nivia screamed at the innocent Pancham.
  22. "Ahh~ That is much better," Nivia sighed contently as she finished the last of her berries. "It's too bad that they aren't Pokeblocks, but it will do until I find something else. Now, time to get ba---" All of a sudden, a Taillow nearby began making kookoo noises. It was giggling as it hopped along the bank, making even more kookoo sounds as it passed by Nivia. The Dewgong stared at the little bird in amusement. "Someone is easily amused..." Nivia thought. With a shrug, Nivia began heading back to the river for a bath when she saw a shivering bush out of the corner of her eye. Nivia immediately froze in her spot to see if that bush would do anything else. However, it seemed more scared than she was. Nivia was puzzled; there were no eyes to indicate it was a Pokemon. Was something hiding there? "Well, I might as well find out since I have nothing better to do. But, of course," Nivia began making her way back to the river, "I will observe from my natural habitat just in case." As soon as she made her way into the river, she swam silently up towards the shivering bush to find her observer. Nivia was surprised to find a small, white and black Teddiursa-like Pokemon all bunched up and afraid to move. It seemed so scared that it didn't even notice Nivia watching from the river. Seeing as the Pokemon didn't pose a threat (at least not yet), Nivia decided to be polite and strike up a conversation. Who knows? Maybe she will be able to find out where she is. "Now now, no need to be afraid, little one. I'm only dangerous to those who oppose me. And, to be honest, you don't seem to be that type of Pokemon. Tell me, who are you? And what are you doing here?"
  23. Nivia awoke wearily with an empty stomach. Her last night's search for her noisy invaders have left her feeling tired and none too pleased as she made her way back to her temporary water cave. Luckily, the Dewgong's frustration has vanished by the time she got some sleep. Nivia now stretched her aching tail muscles before she made her way out of the cave. She found herself bathed in a new day's sunlight, warming up her body as she allowed the waters to carry her downstream. The vain Dewgong sighed, remembering a similar situation back in her hometown of Lilycove. "This would be a perfect situation if I wasn't so hungry," Nivia thought to herself. She blinked her bright blue eyes a few times before she forced herself to swim. Her tail muscles, however, ached with each stroke she gave. "Oh dear," Nivia frowned a little as she slowed down her pace, "I guess I haven't recovered from last night. I am so not cut out for such strenuous work. If only Celestia is here then---" Her stomach gave a loud growl before she could complete her thought. Nivia quickly looked around her, hoping that nobody around her has heard her hunger pangs. Luckily for the embarrassed diva, no water Pokemon was out this early. "Well then, I better go find something to eat. If I do remember correctly, I did manage to smell some berries somewhere nearby." With that, she carefully made her way back up to the surface and poked her head out of the water. After Nivia was convinced that there were no humans nearby, she swam near the river's edge to see if she could find some berry bushes. After swimming downstream for a few minutes, she happened to find a berry bush filled with Rawst berries. Nivia paused and sniffed the air, hoping to find the familiar scent of Ganlon berries. Her coordinator had given her many of these bitter-tasting, dry Pokeblocks as a reward for her hard work, and it has become Nivia's favorite treat. Unfortunately for the princess, poor Nivia couldn't sniff anything else that can delight her senses. So, she turned to the Rawst berry bush just a few feet away from the river and climbed out of the river, soiling her beautiful, white coat. "Ugh, once I'm done with breakfast, I'm going to need a bath again," Nivia said out loud to herself as she made her way to the bush. She slowly inched herself along using her two front flippers; Nivia didn't want to exert too much pressure on her hind flipper due to her soreness from yesterday night. After what seemed like an eternity, Nivia was finally in front of the Rawst bush. "Well, at least these berries look good for eating." she observed approvingly. Without another word, she chose a few Rawst berries and lied down in a comfortable position for breakfast.
  24. In regards to Nova's post, I was thinking about having Nivia make contact, but I wasn't able to because of midterms and internship. So, I will be pretty slow in my RPs until Monday passes.
