Even a talented individual can end up in a mess if they aren't careful," Yuel responds before staring out to sea. Her thoughts went back to an incident in her childhood, causing a slight grin to pop up on her face. Ready for battle, Myrdwyn uses her lance to heavily damage the knight and his armor. Though injured, he still manages to strike back, landing a clean hit. Taking aim behind his allies, Idei fires off a shot at the monk, who is unable to dodge or retaliate. Cheat Sheet: -

Seeing her target, Rayne throws a single javelin, which is enough to take the fencer out of the fight. With one heavy strike, Clarisse takes down the pegasus knight, forcing them to retreat from battle. [Enemy Phase] Pegasus Knight 4 takes 6 damage from poison Pegasus Knight 4 Moves to U5, attacks Belros, and Cantos to Q5 Gaining some distance, the pegasus knight flies back to throw a javelin without retaliation, before retreating further back. Knight 1 Moves to V5 and attacks Belros Using the newly granted space, the knight moves into the fight, and with a well aimed blow, drops Belros to the ground. Monk 2 Moves to S7 and attacks Cass One of the monks shoots two blasts of light at Cass. Both of them manage to hit their target, but Cass is still standing, if a bit beaten. Monk 1 Moves to R12 and attacks Clarisse The other monk, attempting to make up for their previous blunder, shoots two orbs of light at Clarisse. Though she dodges the first with ease, the second one hits true, dealing noticeable damage. Pegasus Knight 2 Moves to S11 and attacks Rayne, and Cantos to P11 Joining into the fight, the pegasus knight attacks Rayne, who responds in kind as the two land their blows. As the pegasus knight attempts to retreat however, they are struck by a second, unexpected javelin, which leaves the retreating pegasus knight worse for wear. "Most of my learnings on magic were more...practical experiments than anything else at the start, but I have studied it a fair bit. "Well, if I had to take a guess, someone or something probably wanted to lend us a hand. Those gusts of wind were directed at the sails of our ship, and when we left there was something that shined in the forest. As for why it lent us aid, I couldn't hazard a guess. There are too many potential reasons and not enough actual information to go off of. So for now that will have to be a mystery, though I get the feeling we'll find out at some point," Yuel announces, as she finishes summing up her thoughts on the matter.- 430 replies

After the day had passed and the group was well out at sea, Yuel decided to head on the deck to clear her mind, book in hand. Whatever happened the day they escaped was certainly intentional, as the unnatural gusts of wind were directed at the sails, and the glimmer of light they saw before they left. Somebody wanted to aid them, though for what purpose she couldn't hope to guess at the time. As she continued her thoughts, she noticed a few familiar faces by the railings. "My my, someone seems to be in high spirits as usual," Yuel remarks to Cassidy, who had bombarded Beatrix with all manner of inquiries. "Though it does seem like Bea is deep in thought. Now healed, Belros attempts to strike the pegasus knight with two quick blows. Unfortunately, the rider manages to dodge both strikes, though the poison still hinders their aim, causing their counterattack to miss. Cheat Sheet: -

Myrdwyn brandishes her lance and prepares to strike, when the lance shifts by some malevolent force and strikes Myrdwyn herself with its might. Though confused with what had occurred, the knight wastes no time in capitalizing on it, tossing two javelins at the now weakened wyvern rider, nearly taking her out of the air. Though his target was in the air, Belros managed to land a strike onto the rider, poisoning them. Though they attempt to toss a javelin in retaliation, the poison throws off their aim. "The heck is that thing? We stumble on some weird pastafarian nonsense or something?" Sasha mutters after seeing the pillar inside of the fortress. She had no idea what the thing was supposed to be, but it was probably a target. Considering her options, she mulled over either dropping Chise in to deal with the mononoke inside and examine the pillar more, or send a sneaky shot in and bail, allowing them to bust the thing while they were somewhere else. After some consideration, she looked over to Chise, since one of the plans did involve her more directly. "So, we can either send in a shot to blow up the pillar when we're off, or I can drop you in there and...deal with the guys inside. Choice is yours," Sasha remarks, holding her rifle in one hand and preparing a quick warp through in case Chise wants to drop in. -

[Enemy Phase] Fencer 4 Moves to U10 and attacks Cass Finding a target, the fencer moves to strike the bard, dealing two heavy blows to Cass. Pegasus Knight 1 Moves to U12, attacks Madante, Cantos to S12 The pegasus knight flies in to pelt Madante with javelins. Madante retaliates with a blow of his own however, with his blade glowing a bright red as it struck the enemy, doing more damage than they anticipated, causing them to back up afterwards. Pegasus Knight 5 Moves to W19 and attacks Darius The pegasus knight's first strike managed to land, while Darius responded with his own magic. With their mount rattled by the burst of dark magic, their second strike misses the mark a bit. Pegasus Knight 4 Moves to V5 and attacks Belros Seeing an easy target, the pegasus rider flies by Belros, throwing a javelin at them for a decent amount of damage. Monk 1 Moves to R13 and attacks Clarisse The monk tries to strike Clarisse with his magic, but he finds it to be somewhat unwieldy, causing both orbs of light to go past the target. [Ally Phase] Helena Moves to W17 and attacks Peg 5 with Elwind Helena attempts to take down the weakened pegasus rider, but being aware of the magic this time, they manage to avoid the gust of wind. Madante Moves to U12 and attacks Fencer 4 Madante uses the magic within his sword to strike the fencer, who is unable to retaliate. "Fair, though hopefully there are some gaps that we can slip through so that we don't have to deal with them at all," Sasha says, slowing down a bit as she navigates the field towards one of the walls of the fortress. With Chise's assistance, she'll search out a place that doesn't have any tendrils between the outside and inside and warp the wall through for a moment to see what she can find. -
"Gilgamesh then, is the identity of that caster," Ritsu mutters to herself, making a note about this information, along with that of the nature of Gate of Babylon. "This Gate of Babylon sounds like it could be somewhat of an issue, though you mentioned that it is the progenitor of Noble Phantasms made by man. Am I to assume that creations from other beings would not be present? And could this potentially grant us some advantage perchance?" Ritsu asks. If creations from entities outside of man were not present as one of his treasures, it could be possible to use something to catch him by surprise.

"Well this sounds like a lovely thing to deal with," Sasha remarks sarcastically. Hearing about what she's dealing with isn't too amusing, but with proper navigation, it should be fine. She half wondered how her requiem would affect the tendrils, but she decided that testing that out would be a bit dodgy. "So, if we grab the wards off of the mononoke, this Gashadokuro thing will go for them instead?" Sasha asks, parts of a plan coming together. "Also Chise, mind pointing out any tendrils so I don't run into one or warp through one. I'd rather not find out what that could do to this thing at this stage," Sasha asks, hoping for some navigation as she infiltrates the fortress.
