  1. The skeleton parried Myrdwyn's strike, though it appeared to stagger a bit. That gave enough of an opening for Myrdwyn to strike again, though the armor took the brunt of the blow. The two proceeded to trade blows for some time before reaching a pause, though the armored skeleton was worse for wear, potentially due to the armor's weight.
  2. "That's because I never said it. It's not too important anyhow. So long as you call for me, I will arrive and do my duty. That's all there is to it," the man shrugs, refusing to say more. The pair ended up moving through the corridors, which was a rather straight shot into the next room, which contained a single skeleton wearing some armor that looked oddly familiar to Myrdwyn. Armed with a lance, it takes a defensive stance as it watches the pair enter the room.
  3. The skeleton, expecting its foe to either flee or stand in place, was not expecting the punch coming its way, causing its head to fly right off and shatter on one of the walls. The body flailed around for a moment before evaporating into shadows, leaving a blue ribbon in its place. "Well done. It seems you're quite adept with dealing with the dungeon spawn. Now then, retrieve the spoils and let's move on," he crones as he moves towards the next corridor, anticipating that Myrdwyn will follow.
  4. "Relax. I have no intention of harming either of you," he crones in a still ominous tone. Meanwhile, Myrdwyn moves in with her lance as she attempts to deal with the new foes. The pair are a bit more agile than the ones she fought earlier, but she managed to strike one down with her lance with relative ease. The other was a bit more crafty, and after a few dodged blows attempted to climb onto Myrdwyn.
  5. "Perhaps the magic in this place affected her a great deal. There have been all sorts of rumors about the source of the magic for these labyrinths, but most of the replications use altered dark magic. No one is quite sure what the true source is, but either way, I don't think she'll awaken while we're in here," he explains as the group reaches another room, with a single path on the right side of the room relative to where they entered. Standing in their way however, were two more skeletons, though this pair appeared to be unarmed. "More of these vermin. Well then Myrdwyn, time to display your abilities once again. I'll watch Cadence for you," he crones as he attempts to take Cadence.
  6. "Nah, I don't think I'll be taking a crack at it. And besides, maybe someday you will be able to open it. Only time will tell," Madante says in a confident voice before looking at the mansion. "Still though, those three have been in there for a while. Do you think they found anything?" he asks with a somewhat confused tone. ------------------------------------------- "Well it certainly may prove useful to someone, but we'll save that for after we exit this labyrinth. Shall we?" he crones as he moves towards the two passages on the south side of the room.
  7. "This is Chise. Got dropped off at my door, don't ask why or how cause I know about as much on that as you. As for why I brought her, she's apparently here for active field work, so I figured I'd bring her along. Any other questions?" Sasha asks with a smug voice.
  8. "Do they not loosen around your eyes? If not, that's a bit disappointing, but oh well. In that case, do you have anything in particular you like listening to?"
  9. "There's a reason most fantasy stuff doesn't catch my interest. Loses some thrill and excitement when you think that you could do half of the things you're seeing. But mechs are always cool. Maybe its just the idea of actually building one, maybe it's just the idea of high tech robots fighting, but it still has a place I think. Now if others agreed that would be great but what can you do," Sasha sighs, disappointed that there aren't as many mecha fans as she would hope. "What about you? Got any preferred watches?"
  10. "Eh, good enough. If it comes down to it I can teach you a few things on the job," Sasha remarks as she warps a remote to her hands and starts browsing the tv channels. Some standard news, soap operas, and the mass of slice of life anime were all she could find for a while. Annoyed, she made a small growl. "It's not that I dislike every other genre, but would it kill to give some of the mecha a bit more exposure?" she muttered to no one in particular.
  11. "Uhh, you're a bit more comfortable than I expected, but do mind your phrasing. I'd rather not have people get weird ideas," Sasha explains as she lounges on Chise. Honestly this may turn out to be a decent arrangement, though Sasha would still like to know more about her skills out of combat. A trained mechanic hand could be useful if she was out or busy. "You wouldn't have happened to have worked with machines before would you?"
  12. "Well in that case," Sasha shrugs before attempting to pick up Chise and see how well she actually was as a pillow. Though personally, she half wondered how comfortable the mass of belts would be. Regardless, she decided to poke around a bit to test the firmness of the belt mass. Her preferred pillows were some middle point of soft and firm, so Chise in theory could work if the belts weren't too bothersome. So, to grasp the firmness of the beltpillow, Sasha begins her testing.
  13. "Not quite what I meant, but noted," Sasha shrugs. "I meant more of your abilities when you aren't fighting. Unless that's also classified in which case..." Sasha trails off, trying to think of a response. "Well if those are also classified I guess I'll just see how good of a pillow you are."
  14. "Well...exactly one of those things makes sense at a glance, but ok, sure," Sasha says, unsure how to respond to the latter bit. Looking over her again, its hard to tell if the mass of belts is actually comfortable, but maybe its nice for Chise. Deciding to can that train of though for the moment, she decides to continue her questioning. "Anyways, if that's what your here for, that's fine, though if you were sent eariler you could have dealt with some masked luchadors. That was a time. Anywho, I know why you're here for the most part now, but besides dealing with said threats and...being a pillow apparently, what else are you able to do?"
  15. "Huh, that right? Well I know a few people from there, though I'm not sure any of them were specifically involved in this. As for active field work, what's that supposed to consist of for you?" she asks, though given the people who sent her, she probably could guess.
  16. "Well that good to know, though it also tells me you're probably not human. Not that it matters much given some of my clientel," Sasha shrugs, having dealt with androids and other nonhuman beings. Speaking of which... "Oh right, I need to call Para later for some things. Though I guess that can wait for a bit all things considered. As for clearance level...not really sure on that. Honestly it would depend on who sent you out to me, among other things," Sasha explains. She knows quite a few people, being a mechanic/surgeon does that, but there are a lot of organizations around. She had no way of knowing which sent her here. Or why for that matter. "So I don't know if you are aware, or if it was to be mentioned in the briefing that's who knows where, but why were you sent off anyhow. And why through the post?"
  17. "Huh, that right? Normally this would be the part where I say something about a wrong address, but since the box is addressed to me, I suppose whoever was doing the briefing got a little too drunk and forgot. Or something else happened to them, no way for me to know," Sasha shrugs. "At any rate, I'm guessing the briefing would have just told me what to expect from you. On that note, are you hungry or something? I don't know how long you were in there or if you ate beforehand but it would be good to know nonetheless."
  18. "Well, now that she's handling that..." Sasha mutters to herself as she moves over to the box containing Chise. "So, were you told anything before you were sent off? About who you were to be meeting or any other important details," she asked, hoping for something that could give her some answers to this weird situation.
  19. "Alright. Just a sec," Sasha says as she begins to pull out the frame parts for the bike, listing out which ones go where along the way as she finds them, along with explaining the duration for the enchants and the speed at which they need to function.
  20. "Not that I can recall. Most of my shipping orders consist of machine parts or something. I guess someone could have put me on a list for something, but if they did they didn't inform me. Though given that it is my address, I'm probably the intended recipient. Meh, whatever," Sasha shrugs, deciding to figure out things and call a few people later. "Anyways Sabia, let's get to work in the meantime. As for you Chise...make yourself comfortable I guess?" she says, deciding to get to work on the bike.
  21. "Well, its nice to meet you, even if the circumstances are...a bit odd. As for your handler..." Sasha scratches her head as she looks over the card. "So there doesn't seem to be an actual number with the card in here, so either you got sent to me without the sender actually informing me, or you ended up in the wrong place. And quite frankly I'm not in a position to really tell one from the other. Sabia?" Sasha asks, trying to see if they have any idea of what might be going on.
  22. "Oh please. Like I'd get involved in that," Sasha groaned at the mention. That being said, she had certainly ended up with...quite the oddity. And she had no idea what the heck to do with it. "At any rate, I have no clue if I'm your 'master' but you ended up on my doorstep so I should probably do something about this," Sasha replies to what might be a girl wrapped in belts. "So...do you have a name?"
  23. "Well this is...not parts," Sasha mutters, scratching her head while she looks at the note enclosed in the box. "Sabia, does the phrase 'Squeamish Ossifrage' mean anything to you?" she asks, hoping that her acquaintance could shed some light on this, even if only a little.
  24. After a bit of shuffling and some minor space warping, Sasha finally got the box into the garage. "Sheesh, the heck did these people send me? Some random parts maybe?" Sasha mutters as she opens the box to see whether the contents are anything that could be useful for her build.
  25. "Oh..." Sasha remarks upon seeing the box along with Sabia. "I'm just going to take a wild guess and say that this box isn't from you. Regardless, come inside. I'll move this thing in and then we can get to work, alright?" Sasha says as she starts to move the box carefully, while also trying to see if she can find some other labeling on it.
