  1. Thanks for all your suggestions. I'm worried about Ancient Power on that Yanmega for Flying types, and Technician Rock Smash from Scyther is a jerk as well. I'll probably snag a new Rock type on my team, particularly Roggenrola. Any idea how far I need to go for the EV Berries and Link Stones?
  2. It's been a looong while since I touched this game and I'm liking the updates, so I decided to make a new team to test out the new features. Without further ado, here's my team. I'm at Shelly at this point, so my team may seem rather unbalanced, so critiques on specific Pokemon to catch and where I can get them is appreciated.I reset my games to get good natured/IVed comps to go through the game more cleanly and I EV Train my Pokes as well, so if somebody can teach me how to get the stickers for the berries that would help me a lot. Infernape Hasty Nature Iron Fist Level 36 Grass Knot Mach Punch Flame Wheel Close Combat Easily one of my favorite Pokemon to use on a Reborn walkthrough, Infernape's my main star player. He's fast, and he's got the moves to cover it....well, almost. When I saw Gen 6 move listings implemented I leapt from my chair and thought: "Hey lemme get that OP Flare Blitz early!" ....Only to realize that Amethyst has left off a few moves, and Infernape's Flare Blitz unfortunately falls into that section. I'm struggling with Shelly at this point, as my Flame Wheel fails to kill her Scyther 30% of the time and with my 0 Defense IV and Hasty Nature she slaughters me with Technician Wing Attack. Even if I did kill it, Yanmega's waiting there to kill me with Air Cutter while my Flame Wheel only does 75%. (I need Flare Blitz!) Since I can't make it a true mixed attacker unless I breed with a Ponyta (and I don't have that much motivation to do that) I'll just give it these moves for now; Flare Blitz will be replaced with Fire Blast later (TMs pls). His IVs are a little bad, though. He's got 26 Speed and 19+ offenses, but the rest of his stats are horrible, and compared to all my others, his IVs are incompetent. I EV Train all my guys and I gave this guy a mix of Speed, Attack and Special Attack. Trubbish Adamant Nature Aftermath Level 32 Acid Spray Take Down Toxic Spikes Sludge Bomb Good old Trubbish has been my wall and absorber of those unwanted HP/Defense/Special Defense EVs. He's tanky, and despite a lolzy Adamant Nature (his IVs are godly, you see, so I figured I'd give it Gunk Shot later) his Acid Spray + Sludge Bomb combo hurts. If I don't mind something I set up free layers of Toxic Spikes, and Take Down resists, particularly other Poison types. He's sacrificed a lot for the team, giving Poison and the extra damage from his Aftermath for the others to sweep up, and will the team's soon to be Mrs. Biggles. Shiny Klink Jolly Nature Minus Level 30 Charge Vicegrip Gear Grind Charge Beam DAT SHINY COMP KLINK THO. Well, Jolly isn't really a good nature for Klink because of overkill Speed from Shift Gear, but it allows me to run less Speed EVs and give it more Attack and Defense. It's a shame I don't get Clear Body, but what can I do. Anyways, Klink's still a new and fresh member of the team with not much good moves to use, so until I get myself Shift Gear Klink's only for swagging decoration. Shiny Emolga Jolly Nature Motor Drive Level 29 Nuzzle Acrobatics Electro Ball Charge Beam DAT SHINY COMP EMOLGA THO. Well, again, special sets are popular, but what are you going to do, besides, Emolga's attacking stats are the same but Acrobatics is stronger. Like Klink, he's literal decoration although he can be really strong at times; just haven't used him a lot yet. And this really sums up what I have on my team now. Critiques and comments are appreciated.
  3. You could evolve your Porygon. I'm not sure where you get an Upgrade, but if you get it you can evolve it. (Reference from Obtainable stuff list)

    Noivern

Can you resist that Soundwave? Noivern (M) @ Choice Specs/Life Orb Trait: Frisk/Infiltrator EVs: 4 HP/252 Sp.Attack/252 Speed Timid Nature (+Speed,-Attack), Hasty Nature (+Speed, -Defense) -Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse -Hurricane -Focus Blast/Flamethrower -Boomburst/Hidden Power Ground/U-turn Standard Specs/Orb Special Attacker. All move information is obtained from Serebii.net. Draco Meteor is a tutor so Noivern can learn it. Depending on power VS consistence between the two STAB's it's up to your choice. Hurricane is secondary STAB, use it in the rain. Focus Blast and Flamethrower are for Steel-type coverage, although the latter is slightly unreliable due to Noivern being better in the Rain. Boomburst for additional (but slightly bad) coverage, Hidden Power Ground for Heatran, U-turn for momentum. Both abilities have their uses although the former is used more often, and scouting the enemy's item is always a good thing.
  5. Muscle Predator Talonflame (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Gale Wings/Flame Body EVs: 104 HP/ 252 Attack/148 Speed Adamant Nature (+Attack, -Sp.Attack) -Bulk Up -Roost -Brave Bird -Flare Blitz/Flame Charge So, according to Serebii.net's new leaks Talonflame gets Bulk Up. A priority Roost and Brave Bird is the main crux of the set, as due to their priority, lessens the need for Speed EVs, allowing it to invest more in bulk. Set up some Bulk Ups, Roost when necessary, and wreck all in your path with your powerful Dual STAB. Flame Charge when you fancy the Speed Boost. 104 EVs ensure that it can switch in to two Stealth Rock hits. With a few Bulk Ups, Flame Body can screw a few physical attackers over. Roost helps to recover Stealth Rocks and keeps you healthy when you set up. Recommended when Flying resists and gone and you can set up a Bulk Up, as priority + boosted Brave Bird is gonna hurt, and you can use this without fear of Choice Scarf users standing in your way unless it is a resist.
  6. I could help with the writing......also I'll pm you my fanfiction story link later and see if you're comfortable about my writing before I help...
  7. I'm decent with desciptions/writing but I falter on ideas. Of course, you could always ask for examples of my work if it suits your fancy. Just saying.
  8. You could always put a Kings Rock on that thing and troll your opponents with 46% flinch chance, but Life Orb is generally superior. Choice Band works too.
  9. Even if I haven't finished the game yet, this is my final confirmed team. Still I have a lot of stuff to breed Infernape He's been with me from the very start. Fast and frenzied, it hits like a truck to complement it's high speed. Hasty Nature (+Speed,-Defense) Iron Fist Flame Wheel (Primary STAB, since it has no drawbacks. It's saved me tons of times with it's nasty burns. Waiting to be replaced with Fire Blast, lazy to breed, and this one has really, really awesome IVs.) Mach Punch (Well I have Iron Fist, so I don't plan to waste it. Helps against things that are faster than it or when it needs to pick something off) Grass Knot (For bulky Waters, Grounds, Rocks, etc.) Close Combat (For things that Infernape really needs to kill in one hit. It's also one of my most powerful moves) Scrafty A bulky tank, Scrafty takes the physical hits while dishing out more powerful ones. Adamant Nature (+Attack,-Special Attack) Shed Skin Crunch (Standard STAB, lowers defense, which is good.) Brick Break (A good STAB, breaks screens which is good, and more reliable than HJK. Waiting to replace with Drain Punch) Rock Climb (Just for random coverage, occasional confuse is also nice. Waiting to replace with Head Smash) Hi Jump Kick (This hits like a truck, but it sucks if it misses. Waiting to replace with Bulk Up) Spiritomb Arguably my most bulky Pokemon as of now, Spiritomb can prove devastating once a Nasty Plot is set. Modest Nature (+Special Attack, -Attack) Pressure Nasty Plot (To buff Special Attack. It hits like a truck. Waiting to replace with Calm Mind) Shadow Ball (Standard STAB, lowering Special Defense is cool.) Dark Pulse (Another good STAB, but the flinch is useless unless I meet something like Quagsire or paralyze something.) Hidden Power Fighting (YEAH! Lucky me. 68 base too. Great IVs to boot) Exploud (Shiny) Like Infernape, he's been with me through the entire journey, sucking up the unnecessary EVs as it goes. It hits hard, and is surprisingly bulky to boot. Modest Nature (+Special Attack, -Attack) Scrappy Uproar (Currently Exploud's most powerful attack. It even dents things that resist it. Waiting to replace with Hyper Voice) Shadow Ball (Random coverage. Only works on Rock types though. Waiting to replace with unknown move) Strength (It's just for moving boulders. Nothing special, although it helps when locking into Uproar is undesirable. Waiting to replace with unknown move) Fire Fang (Again, it's for the coverage. Helps with Steels, and occasional burns. Waiting to replace with Focus Blast) Drapion The king of crits, this thing wrecks teams with lucky crits after Hone Claws. Naughty Nature (+Attack, -Special Defense) Sniper Hone Claws (Boosts Attack and accuracy. Waiting to replace with Swords Dance) Night Slash (Primary STAB, hits insanely hard if you get a crit) Cross Poison (Secondary STAB, also with a good crit chance.) Fire Fang (Coverage for Steels. Waiting to replace with Earthquake) And now for the breeding section. It'll be a long time before I get these though, since I need to grind up some funds. Sharpedo With a few Speed Boosts, Sharpedo can tear teams with ease. A future offensive juggernaut although I'll need patient breeding. Lonely/Naughty/Hasty/Naive Nature (yes, I keep breeding until I get a good one) Speed Boost Hydro Pump (Standard STAB. Hits really hard, but misses occasionally.) Waterfall (A good STAB coming off Sharpedo's higher Attack.) Crunch (Sharpedo has a really good STAB combination, so this shouldn't be neglected, especially when it lowers defense.) Ice Fang (A good coverage move against Grass types.Waiting to replace with Earthquake/Ice Beam) Honchkrow I love this thing. It hits like a truck while having strong priority and recovery to boot. Sucker Punch has got to be one of my favorite attacks. I'll use this until Bisharp is implemented. Adamant/Lonely/Naughty Nature Moxie Brave Bird (Hits like crazy, but gives recoil. No biggie, since I have a recovery move.) Sucker Punch (Like I said, one of my favorite attacks. Helps against faster threats.) Roost (Heals off Brave Bird and other damage.) Night Slash (Quite short of options for now. Good crit chance and higher PP makes it the worthwhile option.Waiting to replace with Superpower)
  10. Absol.   1.If there's something that I'm good at, it's scaring the crap out of people with what I do, similar to Sucker Punch. 2.It's isolatory nature and fashion, without the white. 3. People tend to call me a bad person, as if I bring disaster. :(
  11. Use fanfiction. I have an acc there anyways so if you need any help with that ask me
  12. Have we decided who's gonna die yet (hopefully not me but I won't mind it excessively)
  13. Cacnea and Pawniard. These two are all I need to smash the entire game into oblivion. Assuming Ame doesn't fix Sucker Punch, but that prolly doesn't matter
  14. No offense but....We have land pollution. The ground is poisoned 0-0 maybe it's just not as easy to pollute as air/water living things so its more resistant.
  15. I see. Unlike the mystery dungeon games, only one ability is allowed. Oh well, these will have to do: Bisharp: Defiant. Honchkrow: Moxie Tyranitar; Sand Stream (take note, this allows me to use a Sandstorm tornado like in the anime, not like in game) Sneasel: Pickpocket (for stealing stuff) Gengar: Levitate Houndoom: Flash Fire Also @rustytengo, are we going to have my former sister in the plot, as a minor character
  16. We will miss you tons NIckaboo.
  17. 30 hours till I reached Serra. I totally agree with you. And I'm not upset about the friendship, it's the EVs. Nice to talk to you Nickaboo, been admiring your playthroughs for quite a while now.
  18. Bisharp: Sucker Punch, Night Slash, Metal Burst, Dark Pulse. Honchkrow: Brave Bird, Sucker Punch, Night Slash, Dark Pulse. Tyranitar: Stone Edge, Earthquake, Dark Pulse, Fire Blast Houndoom: Crunch, Fire Blast, Toxic, Dark Pulse Sneasel: Double Team, Night Slash, Icy Wind, Ice Shard Gengar: Thunder, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Dark Pulse. Wow 5 out of 6 of my Pokes have Dark Pulse 0-0. Maybe....I could die? Just don't let me die in a funny way. Aaand another opinion, make my former sister with a random name or w/e, could add to the plot for me being the potential dead person
  19. Are you going to do move combo's for your Pokemon? We have some examples in the former pages.
  20. While it's physical attack is good it doesn't get any good physical attacks for the moment......Nasty Plot sweeping is better. Find a replacement for Probopass, yes.
  21. Either way, Ludicolo and Seismitoad would be unharmed by the weather in a way. The former could use SolarBeam while the latter has a STAB EQ to complement it's otherwise weak Water STAB. Of course, the team doesn't need to be played around weather too much.
  22. Seismitoad, however, will suffer form the sun, but since you have an alternative STAB in EQ it's fine.
  23. Hm......it depends on you. With Ludicolo, Krookodile, Crustle and Jolteon, you would have more of a offensive team, while with the rest you have a defensive one. You could change Ludicolo to Shiftry to take advantage of the sun. Since you team has quite a few weaknesses to Water, Sunny Day can patch that and buff Infernape as well. Just an opinion.
  24. Sidewinder: At the beginning of every turn, the wielder has a 15% chance of moving first, with the ability to bypass priority. Ironhide: The wielder's defense is doubled. Manipulate: Every time the opponent uses a status move, it is stolen by the wielder (like Snatch working like Magic Bounce) Dispersion: This Pokemon's attacks may do up to 50% more or 25% less damage.
  25. I'll do this. HP:I get sick quite a bit, due to natural inheritance issues.60 Attack: I'd say I'm moderately strong. 70 Defense: Moderate I guess, not godly like Skarmory, but I find myself to be physically resistant to pain. 110 Sp.Attack: I may seem arrogant but......140 Sp.Defense: I keep my cool a lot and never let emotions get to me, again, sorry if I'm arrogant. 145 Speed: Decent, I'd say. 100 Ability: I'm Analytic, but with that base Speed, I doubt I'll use it a lot. Rivalry may be an alternate ability since I need to keep my competence in school. Typing: Psychic/Dark. Smart with a dark side, likes to avoid others. Just see my What type are you thingy. BST: 625. Tier: OU, good speed, high sp.attack and good defenses, although bad hp doesn't let me take hits a lot.
