  1. Venus Venus examined the man that waved at him, looking to be at about an age around 4-6 years his senior. He seemed to interact through a certain device that Venus assumed was....computerized, for lack of a better word to describe it. Mute, I see, the artist surmised, as he gave a responding wave, a plain smile hidden from view by the collar of his cloak. He would interact with him later, perhaps, but his attentions currently focused on another, as he noticed Katsuo at a corner, waiting much like he did. Katsuo wasn't Venus' first acquainted confidant, but he had to admit he was the one who at this time had the firmest grasp of his interest. Plain, perhaps, at a glance. He entertained himself with the cogitation a certain someone in his life had told him, finding a mix of humor, nostalgia, and sadness in the sentiment; that one person whom he once held dear had told him that people were like oysters; pearls existed beneath the tender contents concealed within their rigid, unappealing shells, a quote in which he would always remember, not once putting it off his mind. It enabled him to appreciate the true value of things. He turned to his injured finger, his best finger, his painting finger. Not once had he granted it the luxury of rest since his first painting, having injured it twice to craft masterpieces for Alexandria and Eon. At the same time, the hammering behind his head to continue drawing seemed stubborn as it gnawed his mix of thoughts and cogitations, further drowning him in the many stupors of art he had, for the umpteenth time, succumbed to. Not but a waste of time he took as he tore off more pages from his scrapbook. This time, he allowed the blood to flow through his elbow, lightly cutting it with a knife as he filled the middle of the pages with blood, before waiting for them to partially dry. It was then in which his pen did the work, forging a few pieces of artwork -- one of them being Katsuo in his exact likeness. Venus had always been a master in rendering, and beneath the hue of solid red was a piece made in the young boy's exact likeness. Finishing various other pieces from more flora to other things that crossed his mind, he gratified himself yet again for being exceptionally productive. Approaching Katsuo, Venus handed over the portrait of him he had made. "Here," he said, an unconcealed simper brimming widely, "A token of our acquaintanceship."

  4. The Unnoticed Girl The black behind her consumed everything. She pondered on the possibility that she would be able to bait the wraith into appearing behind her -- possibly so that the darkness would consume it first. It was a risk, and she had no time to waste. With the creeping darkness coming again, she turned invisible again and readied herself to be intangible the first instant it intended to make contact, wanting to repeat the instance of the wraith appearing behind her earlier. She presumed that the wraith seemed to lack any form of physical perception, so it was a likely hunch that it, too, was ignorant of the darkness that came for them. Even if such assumptions were false and the ghostly being would be unaffected by such thoughts, she refused to believe anything but at that moment.
  5. The Unnoticed Girl I see. The reactions of the apparition reaffirmed her guesses; the odd thing screeched as an indicator of it teleporting, and this time it was behind her instead of in front of her. The path seemed too far for her to walk further, but at least she wasn't cornered....and the wraith had failed to shove her aside this time. She needed to react quicker. Pretending not to notice the spook behind her after a quick glance she continued forward. If it could touch her, she could touch it as well, she reminded herself -- frail as the girl was, she readied herself for a physical attack in her new position as she crawled across the narrow path. The saying went well: A cornered rat would bite the cat, and as the ghostly figure came closer, she thrust her right leg towards the ghost in a relatively strong kick as she held on to the path with her hands.
  6. The Unnoticed Girl Gah...! This thing wasn't planning on letting up any soon, wasn't it? That fall was extremely close......that monster had full intent on letting her fall, but at least she knew what to do. One moment she passed through it and it her, but the next it managed to touch her again. It was a wraith...it was easy to assume that it too, shared Latens' own power of being intangible, and a certain combination would enable or disable any form of touch between the two.... all she had to do was react at the right times to avoid damage. With newfound resolve, she steeled herself toward the wraith slowly, this time becoming invisible first, wanting to experiment with the reactive time of her change. The instant it came close, she would put the thought of being intangible into her mind to dodge anything attack it might attempt. Change of priorities.....even for a little girl, she had to take this....thing, down first. If it could touch her, it could touch it.
  7. The Unnoticed Girl ...She went through it. Thankfully, she had been given the chance to discover the extent of her ability, that she assumed was the ability to turn intangible....it was a risk turning intangible, however, for it would pierce her right through the path and plunge her to her downfall. Struggling to keep her balance after being shoved again, the creature disappeared and she heard another umpteenth screech. There seemed to be a sort of pattern behind the appearances of the wraith, the sounds, and everything else in the circumstance...or at least she presumed there was. What now? She turned again to face the sound, only wanting to entertain its attentions only momentarily before she would further progress on the path with her newfound knowledge.

  9. The Unnoticed Girl Latens was now pit into a corner, but she could not risk the jump. From that distance, it seems too far -- much too far, and any attempt would be more confirming of her demise than her current situation. Not would her invisibility aid her in this situation. But which path would she go? All she knew was that she had the ability to turn invisible, which, quite frankly, did not stop the spectre nor the shades of black from relentlessly pursuing her. But deep down inside, she felt something, instinctively and intuitively, that she was capable of something more....but she didn't know what. How could turning invisible aid her in such a situation? She decided to test the extents of her hidden capability and see how it could activate -- it made sense that she had some form of ability that transcended and defied the laws of solid matter. Something unseen. She could hide her presence but not her senses. Did it possibly work the other way around? Or was there something more to it? All these thoughts scrambled within her amidst her hastiness and nervousness, adrenaline surging within her but now knowing what to do with it..... But she could do this. It was the best thought she could have on her mind right now, knowing that she had something up her sleeve, but something she didn't know what or when it would make itself clear. She chose the debatably lesser of the two evils amidst that Scylla and Charybdis situation, slowly heading towards the specter with newfound resolve within her. I can do this, she reminded herself as she slowly, but steadily crawled, trying to maintain her balance on the path, towards the specter.
  10. Congratulations on reaching the $50 a month milestone, Ame! This is a great achievement in a rather short amount of time, and I look forward to seeing where lengths you may teach next.
  11. This is a thread that, per the approval of Ame, seeks to pool in the changes that have occurred to the forum. Current discovered changes are listed in the spoiler below, but I'd need help to discover more things. I hope the community can help pool and provide the notable changes that have occurred to the forum for future clarity!
  12. This is a real picture of the Terracotta army that I visited in China last year. I have tons more photos about it but they'd take a while to upload, so to revive this thread, have this first.
  13. I was the first to pledge you, probably, likely. It was 0 but it turned into 30 after I subbed, but well, I'm very glad to support you for your work, and look forward for what you can provide for the days to come.
  14. The Unnoticed Girl Drat, why was this....thing, whatever it was trying to make her fall? Why were all circumstances against her at that moment? She quickly secured herself on the path after the freaky spectre had attempted to oscillate her, temporarily relieved that it had disappeared after the failed attempt. She darted immediately behind her as for the umpteenth time a screech resounded, unsure of what she would see.....
  15. The Unnoticed Girl Latens was immediately taken aback by the sudden appearance before her, the mix of relief of another's presence and the shock of something so eerie within her sights, advancing toward her slowly and rather creepily. This....thing, whatever it was -- was the source of the screeching. She knew not if it would be an additional threat to the already creeping darkness. "W-Who are you?" She murmured, as her body slowly vanished itself partially out of fear again.
  16. Happy birthday, and I wish you prosperity and happiness for the days to come.
  17. I want to be happy about me being free for 3 months but the fact that I borked today's exam probably saddens me more

  18. That was a rather.....poor discerning of you. My grades aren't bad (quite the opposite), I'm nowhere near as lazy as Kyon is, and I like to think I'm not the average guy (irl anyway). I'm also more of a calamity bringer than a hero most of the time (though I admit I've solved a lot of problems for people). Take my words with a grain of salt, of course.
  19. Venus Venus inspected the pile of gold that had been bestowed before him, comprising of various items from ore, dust, to other various goods that he would be able to utilize for his craft. The luxury of royal items such as the crowns were...mediocre, if ancient, in their craft, and so Venus simply opted for a few gold ores that the sack beneath his cloak could further stomach, and withdrew a small, empty sack to contain some of the dust. He would be able to utilize them in crafting beautiful items, refurnishing the delightful weapon that he hid tenderly beside him, or for other purposes when they made themselves prevalent. Satisfied with the items he had obtained, Venus examined the finger he had used to paint for Alexandria and found that the blood had dried out, but the wound seemed to be new. Deciding that it wouldn't hurt, he pricked the healing finger again and withdrew the bullet containing the green liquid he had used for the previous piece he had made for the android. Considering the dragon had did him a favor, he decided to invest more in the piece he would make for him, this time drawing a field of trees and flowers with red spots adorning the marvelous shades of green to form a picturesque view of flora. He gratified himself again at another successful, albeit rushed, piece of art; they were to leave rather soon. "A token of my appreciation," He courteously delivered the piece of work, hoping that it would suffice, albeit knowing that the dragon had little use for it. Perhaps it would be a reminder of his craft and acquainting. "Very much, I appreciate these fine pieces. I will see them put to good use when the time is right."
  20. Venus Eon had offered the inspired artist the choice of dye or gold, the former of which the spider-like being took an immediate, profound interest in. Venus had contrasting thoughts, for he only appreciated his own tools of art to paint his canvases. He found other sources poor substitutes, but the very mention of gold managed to entice him. "Gold is my power color. I suppose I may find something interesting amongst your wares. Exhibit your golden items, collective creature -- and I will paint for you in return. To what you may find interest in return, Eon?" ((OOC: If you wanna click these links tone down the volume. Also I might as well use Gold because it's a better color than red in text))
  21. The Unnoticed Girl The room became silent again. There was something there, she knew it; the path became progressively difficult to balance on while trying to feel any presence now, and the shades were coming closer. It resounded, but would it respond? Focusing on crossing the path more than feeling the path this time, she continued with more loud pleas for help, hoping that another sound would respond that would give her more information.
  22. Venus As Venus reconciled with the rest of group with Katsuo, he noticed the commotion that had ensued earlier. The opprobrium of the man in the cloak a mere lighter shade than the one Venus wore seemed almost inscrutable. He amused himself at the evanescent thought of the contents of the various books he contained; what did those books serve to enlighten, "A beginner's guide to stupidity?" Such uncouth fatuousness for a person with many a book in his repertoire. How inelegant your words are. Surely a fool wrote your script. The words echoed contemptuously in his mind. His attentions then mostly centred themselves on Eon. For what made up the dragon’s being Venus managed little to comprehend, but the massive wyvern of a being maintained civilized, rather amiable interactions with the rest of the group, and from the looks of it, he had supplied what was some sort of prehistoric corse to the hybrid of human and arachnid, a look of mild disgust hidden from beneath cloak as the ravenous predator sank its fangs into the piece of flesh, butchering it until her appetite was seemingly satiated temporarily. It didn’t leave the sweetest taste in his mouth, but at least it triggered his interest towards the largest, and arguably the most unorthodox, of the beings gathered there. He was either full, didn’t need food, or had far too much to keep on his own; it was logical that he had much more, and he would, one way or another, swindle or acquaint himself to acquire more from this being. “My enormous entity,” He began as he approached Eon, bowing for the umpteenth time, “A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Venus Tireur. It would seem a collective hoarder you are, for a dragon. Forgive my cogitations, but, interest me in the.....more beautiful items within your assemblage, wouldn't you?"
