  1. Looks like Officer Dumbass works here. At least he's getting what he deserves. Emelia's mind didn't usually focus on thinking poorly of others. It was just that this man had no sense of honor which seemed to bother her. She looked around a bit noticing a couple other people when she realized she still had the mask. It probably would be frowned upon if she hid her face from the people she'd be working for so she slowly pulled it off her face without having any of her hair be untucked. Truthfully, she didn't want anyone to think she was suspicious or a criminal. Under the mask, there weren't any scars or anything unusual concealed. Even without that mask, it would be very difficult to notice she was actually a female. The fierce look on her face along with a bit of dirt from her hand made the distinction nearly impossible.
  2. Speaking of that, can we have a 1 or 2 day mercy rule before doing a post countdown on a certain character death. Sometimes I get unexpected phone calls from work and I have to go in for the day. It'd kind of suck having my PC die because something important irl came up.
  3. Near the edge of the room, there stood a well-aged man wearing casuals clothes. He was about to introduce himself when conversations started flaring up. He traveled a long way from Hoenn after hearing the news of Eterna to join this new rebellion. It already felt like he forgotten so quickly. It didn't matter as he had a job to do and he was going to follow through no matter what. After glancing at all the members, he was surprised by how young most of the current members were, meaning he was one of the few who had experienced both the new and the old world. These people never experienced the joys of moving across the region, catching Pokemon and battling...for fun. He doubted that some of these people knew exactly what they were getting into, but still kept his silence no matter what arrogant or ignorant things each one mentioned. "I'm Drake if anyone was wondering," he spoke out not even knowing if anyone was listening. "I know you're all busy 'talking' about who knows what, but we have a job to do. I'm going to prepare for this mission so I don't end up freezing to death." With that, Drake headed out of the room grabbing his winter gear off the rack which included a thick white coat, gloves, hat, and a scarf. He knew it was almost suicidal to go on this mission with only a Crobat, but that's what he signed up for.
  4. I hate to say this, but I might have to drop out of this RP (keyword might). I wasn't expecting it to move that fast even though the first part does move rather quickly. I can't get on the computer everyday (I try to) and sometimes I'm backlogged reading all the Ymora posts. I'll try to manage this one as well, but if it gets to be too much, be prepared for my departure.
  5. Surge, I can understand how you're feeling, but that's not the way to handle an issue you're having. Like you said, this is Chim's RP and Chim should be allowed to resolve the conflict whichever way he wants, not by posting this stuff on the OOC to create discussion. (PMs exist for a reason). As for issues you have in your own RP, that's either to be handled in a PM or in your own RP, not shown here. As for what's been said, it really can't be unsaid. I don't want anyone to say anything on the issue until Chim's gets here. Just leave it as it is for right now.
  6. @Surge: Calm down soldier. We don't want to have a repeat of what happened earlier. (I'm reading this so it's going to be edited in a minute).
  7. @Surge: I saw it, but never even bothered because of time constraints. Besides, I prefer editing on a chapter by chapter basis instead of writing the whole thing out and looking over for the next month. Wish I had that kind of time and energy, but I just don't.
  8. So glad I posted all of that up yesterday. I have no energy to post something that long right now. @Turbo: Keep in mind that spreading a move makes it significantly weaker (something Pokemon actually got right). The move is fairly weak so it'd probably just merely take a chip out of a fire type if you spread it (most of the damage comes from the force used to project the water anyways).
  9. Whew, I didn't mean to make that battle that long (even though that is a condensed version), but there was a lot to cover especially with a strong possibility that this might be Zuko's last battle (it's a bit sad to think about). I also probably would've spread it out more, but I'm not sure if I'll be available tomorrow, (I know I won't be on Saturday).
  10. While the smoke was starting to clear, the sun started to glow a bit brighter and the area started to warm up. The little Deino was about to charge into the clouded area when a flash of fire nailed him. Exhausted from the fight earlier, this attack finished him off as he fell to the ground. The smoke finally cleared revealing a Deino rubbing his cheek and a Vulpix standing on the field ready to fight. Henry thought about it for a moment, but figured out how Zuko got there without anyone seeing him. Seems my Pokemon are capable of fighting on their own. Using Quick Attack and Feint Attack must've just been enough to redirect the attack. I don't think it's going to be enough though as Zuko has nothing to fight this thing with. "Zuko, return. The battle's over. Both my Pokemon were KO'd meaning I lost." Unlike his usual self, Zuko ignored the order. He stood his ground growling at the Deino. This brought back memories as he began to see the Deino slowly turn into a Bagon. He looked around at the large crowd that had gathered and then to the right and noticed a Skitty ready to attack. The same one that was always there to protect him. Zuko then snapped back to reality seeing a large smirk on the Deino's face. This battle felt exactly like the one before. The only difference was that the Skitty was no longer there to protect him, but he was not that same weak Vulpix from before. "I get it now. You're doing this for Rosie, aren't you?" Henry could see a little tear in the Vulpix eye. "Very well. I won't hold you back. Neither to you, Paradox." He then looked at Paradox who tried her hardest to imitate Zuko's angry face despite being super excited about her first battle. It's just like it was back in Orre. Zuko...don't lose. The Deino certainly took a number from the previous two Pokemon, he still was quite capable of battling. In fact, he wasn't even going at full power yet. He wanted to finish these last two weaklings off as soon as possible so he wasn't planning on holding back anymore. He took a deep breath and a red aura began to glow around him (focus energy). Zuko began by launching a couple of blasts of fire at the Deino which seemed to do very little damage. The Deino mocked the attack before charging forward and biting down on the fox. The Vulpix cried out in pain from the hard blow he just recieved. The little Togepi made a cute little face with hearts surrounding it, but it had no effect on the Deino (Charm). There's no way to win this. Henry think! You just fought a blind Hydreigon, this should be a cakewalk. Wait, it's blind like the Hydreigon. "Paradox, Growl!" The Togepi gave a mighty, but somewhat adorable noise that caused ringing in the Deino's ears. The Deino quickly released his grip on the Vulpix to figure where that annoying sound was coming from. "Good job girl. Keep doing that and whatever that other thing your doing is." The excited little pokemon ran around circling the Deino while constantly making the same sound over and over again. "While he's distracted, Zuko use Fire Spin." Zuko understood his trainer's order and released a fire vortex. This attack seemed to actually put a dent in the Deino this time as he growled in pain or was it frustration. The Togepi kept using the attack and didn't even notice the stone close by. This careless action caused the little Togepi to trip forcing the sound to stop. The Deino finally located the Togepi and prepared to take it out by lowering its head once again. Once this annoying little pest was out of the way, the other one would be cake to take down. Withing inches of landing the blow, something quickly darted his way and clashed heads with the powerful dragon (Quick Attack). The Deino was surprised the Pokemon not only took on another powerful hit, but managed to remain standing. He slowly began scraping his feet on the ground to start pushing the Vulpix back. Zuko felt the hit and he barely was able to stand, but he wasn't about to give up. While he was being pushed back, he began pushing his own back legs to retaliate. They moved faster and faster and even faster. The Deino felt himself moving backwards and was shocked. None of the other Deino could do this, but this weak creature managed to do the impossible. He thought about the human for a moment. This must be the power that these Deino's were talking about. Once Zuko picked up max speed (Quick Attack) he flew the Deino backwards. The Deino lay there for a moment, but it was more mere shock than actual pain. He charged once more at the Vulpix, but this time launching him backwards and knocking him down for good. The Deino was about to celebrate his victory when a pinkish light nailed him on the side (Metronome/Moonblast). He then remembered that annoying weak creature was still on the field. The attack hurt quite a lot actually convincing him that this little mon needed a lesson. He readied one last Headbutt to finally end this battle once and for all. The Togepi now had a serious angry face on her. She wasn't going to let this mean bully hurt any of her friends. Zuko looked over and noticed the Deino's next move. The battle ended exactly as before. He remember seeing the Bagon nailing the Skitty attack after attack, but there was nothing he could do just like now. No, he had to do something. The Vulpix picked itself up and fired one more spurt of fire from its mouth (ember) and quickly dashed towards the Deino. Smoke from the fire attack caused Henry to be blind from what happened next. When the smoke cleared, a cowering Togepi could be seen with a Deino right behind him as he apparently missed his target. All the Deino could remember is being nailed by something which must've shifted him a smidge. He was about to attack when he suddenly collapsed, but how. The Deino then remembered the purple powder he was hit by earlier. His cockiness ultimately cost him his victory. The Togepi ran over to Zuko, who was laying on the ground close by poking him gently. He looked at the Togepi with a smile on his face. He pushed himself way beyond his limit, but he didn't care what price he had to pay. He was just happy he could do the one thing he regretted not being able to all that time ago. Henry then ran over to his fallen Pokemon simply whispering, "You idiot. You scarred me to death. It's funny to see how much you've changed since I first met you. You were afraid of getting hit and ran away in our first battle together. Anyways, let's get you and the others quickly healed up." Henry pulled out some super potions and began spraying all of the injured Pokemon. He even gave the poisoned Deino a Pecha Berry Henry had hidden much to Gypsy's disapproval. The little Deino became curious and moved around looking for another one of these trainers while the big Deino looked at Henry almost as if he wanted to join him on his journey. "Sorry, but my squad is full with one extra. I can't add anyone else. Don't worry though. You'll find someone, maybe someone better fit than me even." Henry felt kind of bad, but he knew it he couldn't handle five, especially with how poorly behaved this four were. The Deino gave a nod trusting his words. These trainers were quite intriguing. He would be willing to wait a lifetime to find a trainer who strong like that one to take him in. He then walked off quickly joining in with the other Deino.
  11. I'm probably going to post the conclusion of the fight in a couple of hours (or when a few posts come in). If you guys like seeing these, I'll do a couple more where I control both sides later on otherwise this is a one time thing. @Turbo: The Aquas would've disbanded when you were 5-7 years old. Cipher and Galatic were the last to disband when the PCs were about 11. I'm not sure how'd that'd work, but go ahead if you want. Edit: @Darklight: Do you want to do something with the Deinos when I'm done because I (or Chim) can send them over to you after the fight?
  12. The quick break ended and both sides were ready to battle. The two Deinos were now done playing around and weren't going to hold back now. The bigger Deino charge forward and gripped its teeth down on the Drilbur (Bite). The Drilbur's claws began to glow again, but instead of directly attacking it, he began spinning faster and faster until the Deino finally lost its grip causing it to be nailed the glowing claws a couple of times before flying away. The Deino's partner wasn't just standing around. He readied another black aura and aimed it at the sitting target, Burrows. Right when he was ready to fire, a Pokemon bit down on his back (Bug Bite) causing him to lose aim and hit his partner once again. He flung the Pokemon off his back right in front of him and readied a blueish fire at her. When Burrows finished his attack, he noticed his little partner was in trouble. He decided to return the favor by scraping up a piece of mud and flinging it in Gypsy's direction (Mud Slap). The Deino was ready to hit the Venonat head on when something squishy nailed him in the face...something that tasted quite nasty. The Deino completely lost all focus and used it's paws to try and rid the awful taste in his mouth. Gypsy used this time to hop back over to her partner and made a few bug sounds that the Drilbur seemed to understand, but was rather confused by. The Venonat knew that everything the threw at the two dragon still wasn't enough. The Drilbur used its two claws to pick up the Venonat. The bug was a lot heavier than he expected, but somehow managed to do so. With almost all his might, he swung around once more spinning faster and faster until finally releasing the purple fluffy canonball onto his target. Meanwhile, the Deino finally cleaned his mouth out when something out of nowhere nailed him very hard. Gypsy picked herself up and noticed the Pokemon couldn't withstand the hit. The attack may have hurt her pretty badly, but it was nothing compared to the Deino. She was about to help her partner when a loud noise launched her right out of the battlefield (Roar). Even after that devestating blow, the Deino still managed to stand back up. Henry was about to call Zuko over when the orniary little Togepi decided to get a closer look at the battle unintentionally replacing Gypsy in the battle. Henry and his comrades (excluding Zuko) began to freak out. This little Togepi had zero experience in battle and stood no chance against these two powerful opponents. The Big Deino heard the new Pokemon come and new better than to underestimate his opponent no matter how weak sounding it was. He charged forward again lowering his head and ready to hit hard. The Drilbur saw this and took the blow to protect the little guy. This sent him flying to the ground only to be hid by the shaking ground beneath him (Earth Power). The Drilbur struggled to get back up, but he could take no more and was beamed into his Poke Ball. The Big Deino was about to charge forward when something bit him in the back. He quickly threw the Venonat off and gripped him in his mouth surrounded by flames before flinging him in the air where a bunch of black ring finished him off. Like his comrade, Gypsy couldn't get up and was returned to her Poke Ball as well. The battle was pretty much over when a Deino began charging at the Togepi. With this last hit, he would prove to those Deinos that these trainers aren't as strong as they think. Henry tried to return Paradox to her Poke Ball, but the Deino was moving too fast. In a few mere seconds, dust picked up and a loud clash could be heard. He was about to return the Togepi to his Poke Ball. "Pi!" The Togepi sounded alright. Confused, Henry put the Poke Ball away and waited for the smoke to clear to find out what happened.
  13. Clearly you've never played Xenoblade Chronicles. Visions are never clear.
  14. Quick and Wide Guard, but yes that's one of his two main focuses.
  15. I was planning on Hitmontop (aka my Talonflame counter) but I might seriously consider taking a Machamp if no one else goes for it.
  16. If the Hulk can jump really high and smash things in the sky, I guess it's okay for Machamp to do the same. Is anyone going for a Machamp because it'd be kind of funny to see?
  17. I usually go by the game move descriptions as I've watched maybe a half season worth of the anime episodes (guess the move technically should effect dig). The real question would be how to explain how a Machamp can hit something flying high in the air because of no guard.
  18. I have no idea if earth power can really do that nor do I really care as I don't have any planned Pokemon with that move. As for the outcome of the battle, I'll leave that a surprise. (And yes, all of the moves I listed will be used besides Dragon Rage). Edit: That came out a little arrogant. I'm referring to the fact that Earth Power doesn't effect things with dig iirc. Some of these moves are confusing to portray.
  19. "Go ahead. It's not like I can stop you," Henry responded. It's been a long while since I've had someone watch one of my battles. This is Burrows first real fight so it'll be a little sloppy. "Alright Burrows, just like we practiced." The Drilbur jumped up into the air and quickly spiraled down with it's claws pointing down into the ground (Rapid Spin) allowing the Pokemon to quickly dive underground (Dig). Gypsy used this as an opportune time to release a purple substance into the air and surround the two blind Deino's (Poison Powder). The big one became trapped, but the little Deino was able to dodge and began shaking the ground as magma could be seen glowing underground. Burrows noticed this and quickly changed his course straight to the surface. The mole shot out quickly above the ground to just barely avoid a deadly attack. Unfortunately, this is exactly what the Deino's had anticipated. The big one charged forward to where the Drilbur had popped out with it's head ready to nail him (headbutt) while the other readied a blueish colored flame from it's mouth (Dragonbreath) from the other direction. The little one's attack landed head on...to the other Deino, while the big one couldn't stop and ended up nailing the tiny one a couple of feet back. Burrows was floating in mid-air with a surprised look on his face. He and his partner were glowing a blueish color causing in to stay afloat in the air (Confusion). Gypsy released her grip and allowed the Drilbur to land safely back onto the ground. The two Deino became rather angry at each other for that blunder they just caused. The little one was about to attack the bigger one again, when the big one pointed out that they were still in a battle. The four readied there stance to go for another round. This time, the bigger Deino's mouth began to glow red with fire and charged right toward the bug (Fire Fang). His partner readied a blackish colored light and fired a bunch of black rings straight at the Drilbur (Dark Pulse). "Metal Claw." Henry ordered the Drilbur. The Drilbur's claws began to glow (metal claw) and he held them out guarding against the rings headed towards him. While it still hurt, the claws seemed to deflect off some of the strong attack. "Now aim for the bigger one." The Drilbur charged forward and nailed the Deino on the side. This caused the Deino to halt and try to regain his balance, but was quickly hit by some flash of light (Disable). He tried summoning the fire back, but it didn't seem to be working. The two Deino started to become frustrated. They certainly underestimated their opponent, but this was certainly far from over. The big Deino started to yelling something at the little one in his own language giving time for Henry to think of his next move.
  20. The best way to create a character is to start with the personality as that's probably the most important. Backstory usually isn't that important to do imo as it's something that can be fleshed out over time. Heck, I've done character with very little backstory and they turn out fine.
