  1. I don't think I'll be here for the climax of the battle. If I'm not, just have Henry roll his eyes at Claude's victory.
  2. Henry head a loud commotion go on and rushed to where a fight was about to begin. He then heard Claude asking to challenge the Snorlax. "You? Do you really think you'd be able to win something like that? You can't even keep that little Tyrunt under control from what I've seen. What makes you think that Aggron will listen to your orders so easily?" Henry stopped for a moment seeing that there were teachers around and Tyron allowing it to happen. "You know what, go right on ahead. Maybe a loss like this will finally let you wake up from that colorful little world you live in. I'll even let you borrow one of my Pokemon to soften the blow."
  3. Honestly, I'd prefer keeping Henry, Jacob, and Mareek on the sidelines. I'm sure those three will get plenty of opportunities to stand out. And yes, I think it should be a 2 vs 1. Edit: Dobby, I'm going to have Henry push you to taking on that challenge.
  4. @Darklight: It's possible but difficult to win with just and Aggron against that thing. Think about it a minute who could support Aggron the best.
  5. I'd say Claude or Henry should do it. Edit: I'm only suggesting Henry because of the clash of ideals earlier on the trip between him and Tyron.
  6. The "man" followed the crowd into the room and noticed the three people standing in line. The man standing in the middle kept and intimidating look which drew away quite the number of people. This intrigued the young man and he headed towards the Scales line. I really can't hit any lower than this. I'm a warrior who knows how to fight with a sword. I know I can do better than being a beggar on the streets.
  7. "Oh boy here we go again." Henry watched the whole Snorlax scene fold out. "I'm not getting myself trapped into this one." Henry quickly finished his dinner leaving his leftovers to the bottomless pit known as Zuko. Once he inhaled the remains, the group headed closer to the campsite and noticed a little surprise. That kid again. He thought looking at Slade. I always had the impression the kid didn't give a damn about anything other than himself. I had high hopes after hearing about his fight in the forest, but he's only disappointed since then. He saw the reaction on Slade's face and it was quite obvious what was going on. Eh, I already hear enough lovey dovey stuff from the neighbors. I think I'll wait for a better time. Henry turned and began to wonder around. He didn't really have any destination in mind.
  8. Near the edge of the crowd stood a "man" watching people discuss this news. The figure kept a hand on one sword ready for any violence to break out. So this is the headmaster I've heard stories about. I don't usually associate myself as one of the gifted. The crowd nearby seemed to be having mixed opinions about the news that spread across the crowd. This new change might not be a bad thing. I might find some work around here along with some strong foes. His train of thought was quickly broken by the growls of his stomach. I smell bloodshed soon. I'm sure someone will pay good money. No more digging in the trash for dinner finally. The figure pushed through the crowd to get a better look at which gifted were planning on joining the political standpoint. The more who joined, the greater the chance this mercenary would be hired for one side or another. He wished he could hear everything better, but the arguments made hearing a sound nigh impossible.
  9. Eh sorry about not posting yet. Technically, I could've tried posting something yesterday but it was 3 in the morning. I'll get to work on my post right now.
  10. Too bad I didn't have the Skitty. You're on your own against that Snorlax. I guess I could throw in some Deus Ex Machina by having Paradox use Metronome if you get that desperate. (Otherwise, -insert Benny Hill theme here-) @Chim: I must've made Vulpix look amazing if you want to give Evan one. Once Ch 3 starts, I'll begin the chapter with a flashback as to what happened to Zuko.
  11. Well that was my attempt to shift Henry back to his old ways (I kind of use the fact Henry was invisible to sneak away). I needed to do something and that was a perfect opportunity. As for Zuko, he is going to get replaced in Chapter 3, but I'm tying up all the loose ends before making the switch. @Surge: I understand how you felt earlier. When I got back, I was like what just happened. @Zephyr: I did read your Litwick followed Henry so you can say how much of that he actually saw.
  12. While everyone was panicking about Ryan, Henry used this time to slip away from the crowd. He headed towards a wide open area with a folder now in his hand. The four pokemon following behind him wondered what was going on. The Togepi, being naive as ever, was excited about going on this little trip. Henry bent down and looked at the little Pokemon. "I honestly don't know why you chose me. The only times I've been happy are when others are suffering. You seem to find joy in my own suffering which kind of feels like a paradox, but that's not the best word to use. Meh, I kind of like the sound of it. You don't mind the name Paradox, do you?" The Togepi responded gleefully at the new name she acquired, but she likely would've responded the same to any name. "I think I finally realized why I couldn't order Zuko to use Ember earlier. It's all because I just don't want to hurt anyone." Henry laughed a little bit after saying that. "It doesn't matter though because it seems someone around me always ends up hurting themselves whether I'm nice or not. I just need to stop caring, that's all." The Vulpix then looked at him worried again. He hadn't seen Henry this bad since the second day at the academy. "And then we have this little thingy right here. I finally solved this unsolvable riddle. Pain. Strength cannot exist without pain and pain causes the heart to darken. Shadow Pokemon really are the strongest forms of Pokemon...but I'm not power hungry like the rest of the region. It's funny how people would pay millions just to see these files. Too bad they're half way around the world with me." Burrows now looked at Henry with an odd look. He didn't know about this side of Henry, but it kind of scarred him. He picked the blissful Togepi up and stood back a few feet. For a few moments, Henry then looked back at the campsite where they were at. "Danielle, I know your intentions are well met, but they're only words. Those words are worthless to someone like me. Someone who is so cowardly he slowly lost his feeling little by little. He even tricked himself into believing there was still a chance, but it's all a lie. I can't even look someone in the eye who is crying...pathetic. These feelings need to disappear forever." Henry whipped the folder around and watched the papers all fly out. "Zuko, Heat Wave." The Vulpix managed to follow the order and surprisingly whipped up a powerful spinning fire from his mouth. The papers gracefully floating in the air were quickly burned into nothing but ashes. After the attack was done, the Pokemon felt a little tired, but mostly shock. "So it really was me all along that was the problem, not you. Don't worry, I'm not going to make you use that attack anytime soon. Both of us have gone a long way since coming here." The Togepi jumped up and down with the quite impressive show the duo put on. She had never seen anything like it before. Henry then looked over at the little Togepi. "Sorry if you misunderstood the kind of person I am. If you want to leave, I hold no objections." The Togepi stood there not even understanding what the human was saying. "I thought so. We've wasted enough time here already. Let's get back to camp before anyone notices that we disappeared." Also because I need to burn whatever this nice guy impression people have on me down to the ground. I spent too much time turning myself into this and there's now way I'm going to let that little slip bring me down. Henry returned to the scene noticing diner was ready. He grabbed a plate of spaghetti and distanced himself from almost everybody. For quite an observant person, it was odd he missed the Litwick who had been following him around for who knows how long.
  13. The only other thing that happened is that Henry got a Togepi. (I'll post name and info tomorrow because I have to go)
  14. "Guess there's really no point in trying to hide it," responded Henry. "The truth is that..." He cut himself off when he saw Kristen look right at Danielle with Claude and Jacob in her arms. "Danielle, are you sure you're alright? I'd imagine you and Jacob are pretty close so this probably isn't a pleasant sight." Henry then saw Ryan run away from the site. That pain. I know that pain all too well. "I knew exactly how he was feeling yet I still abandoned him. She was right. I am nothing but a coward." Henry realized he said that out loud. "Zuko, see if you can find his scent." The fox began sniffing at the ground, but all he really did was sneeze. "...He doesn't know which scent is Ryan's. Anyone got any better ideas?"
  15. The Togepi looked up at the Noibat and began to cower in fear. She really didn't like bats especially after getting lost in a dark cave once. She was about to cower her face in Robert's goo covered shirt when Henry quickly pulled her away. Like magic, she became excited and gleeful again. This Togepi is weird. Why follow me of all people? This would be so easy if I learned how to handle people crying. I know I'm going to regret this. Henry pulled a Poke Ball and held it next to the Togepi. The curios 'mon poked it and was beamed inside. It shook on the ground three times before making a click. Henry then picked up the Poke ball and looked at Danielle and Robert. "If anybody asks, this catch happened by a complete accident, okay? I already know a long list of people who are going to give me a hard time about this."
  16. Just a little heads up for Chim. I'm only going to be available in the morning and pretty late at night (like after midnight) on Saturday. Thankfully, Sunday I will be a bit more free.
  17. "Sound like you two will get along perfectly." Henry watched Burrows lift the Togepi which he picked and handed it to Danielle. The Togepi didn't really mind the girl and enjoyed her nice smile. Suddenly her eyes locked onto a Murkrow. She remember how the black bird had always taken her toys away and made fun of her. She began to tear up and whine. Are you kidding me? This is not going to end well. Henry tried to pretend he didn't notice, but he really couldn't ignore it. "I have no idea why it started crying. It seemed pretty comfortable earlier."
  18. That could actually work because Henry does not like seeing people/pokemon cry. I'll think of a good reason that'll make her cry when Robert holds her (it'll probably revolve around the Noibat). Edit: Yes, I know exactly the way Henry's going to catch it.
  19. "I'm sure Ryan can fix it, I'm just worried about what Kristen could cause in the future..." Henry went over to the two and heard the end of their conversation. "I leave for like twenty minutes and the worst possible scenario just happened," he interrupted. "The girl just stopped crying for goodness sake. Nevermind about that, I have bigger problems to deal with. Anyone here want a free Togepi? I can't get the thing to stop following me." Meanwhile, the little Togepi started poking Henry's sore leg. Henry felt it, but it didn't hurt as much compared to Burrow's hug.
  20. I have zero clue how that post became so long (I wasn't even supposed to interact with the Togepi yet). If any of you want to talk with a desperate Henry, go ahead and mention seeing him in your post and I'll respond. Henry is eventually going to give up though (I also need to think of a name) Edit: The Togepi is level 6 if you're wondering.
  21. While Henry was taking his shower, his pokemon were hanging out outside. Zuko was taking a nap and Gypsy was munching on some berries Henry gave her. Burrows, on the other hand, grew bored watching the two Pokemon. He turned and noticed a couple of egg things jumping up and down on some giant mound. He became intriguied and joined in on the fun. These two little creatures were way more fun than his trainer's pokemon. *** Henry quickly finished up his shower and changed into a different pair of clothes. He came back out to look to where his Pokemon would be. The boy noticed the Vulpix and Venonat doing their normal routine, however, the new recruit was doing something that did not please his trainer. "Burrows! Get over here now!" The yelling seem to get to the Drilbur as he quickly jumped off of the Pokemon and hustle back to his trainer. He then stood saluting his trainer and awaiting his order. The Togepi was fascinated by this mole creature and followed him over to where the human was. The other Togepi igored it and continued having fun on the trampoline. When she reached the spot, she looked at the Drilbur and tried to imitate him. Too bad her tiny little arm just couldn't quite reach her head. She was enjoying this fun new game this bigger Pokemon came up with. "I don't really care what you do when I'm not looking, but please for Arceus's sake don't go jumping on a Pokemon." Henry's words got to the Pokemon as he looked over and realized he mistook that pokemon for a giant mound. He hid his face out of pure shame. "Just don't do it again. Anyways, we might be able to..." Henry looked over and saw a Togepi putting her hand on her face. "When did you get here?" The Togepi then tried going back into a salute, but failed. "Okay, I see you've had some bad influence. Why don't you go back to your friend? This here is dangerous work only made out for Pokemon owned by me. Maybe some other trainer will take you in." The Togepi heard the word trainer and she immediately became intrigued. As Henry headed out to a more open field, he noticed the tiny Pokemon following behind. Burrows tried pushing the Pokemon away by turning her around, but she was here to stay. Henry finally gave up and responded, "I guess you can stay and watch. It's kind of weird having a young little Pokemon watch you train." The little Togepi became excited and sat down far enough to be out of Henry and his team's way. After a little bit of time passed, Henry felt satisfied with the quick session. "I guess that makes up for you little blunders earlier, Burrows. I might even actually start winning 1v1 matches more thanks to you." Burrows heard this and was about to jump for joy. He quickly controlled himself by giving a quick salute. The Togepi ran over to him in excitement and tried to imitate him once again. "It also seem like you have a big fan already. Sorry little guy but we're done for the day." Henry headed back to where most of the students were with the Togepi still following him. Henry knew he had to break the news to the Togepi strong and hard. "I know you must not be used to this kind of stuff, but you have a home here. As much as I'd like to take you in, I have Burrows now to deal with as well as juggling those other two. I just don't think I can add someone else right now." The Togepi realized what this meant. She was never going to see her new friends again. It looked as if she was about to cry. Henry quickly responded by saying, "Hey, it's okay. Maybe some other trainer might want you. Why don't we have a look around?" The Togepi heard Henry's voice and quickly became excited again leading the way. This is not my day. I just can't feels a bit like everyone is three steps ahead of me. Now I went as low as finding this Togepi a trainer. I can't help because I just can't stand crying. The five looked around, but Henry doubted anyone would even want to talk to him. He looked over and saw a large group around the girl Ryan was trying to talk to. I feel sorry for the poor girl, but there's nothing I can do.
  22. I wasn't really going to anything eventful (then I remembered the goo which I really need to get rid of before it slipped my mind again). Edit: Unless things go horribly wrong with the Ryan and Sophia, I think I'm going to be done until day 2.
  23. "Whatever," Henry responded. He saw Claude regain his control and challenged the red head to a battle. Instead of going closer, he turned and headed to the boy's cabin. I kind of forgot about the goo. I feel it hardening in my hair and its starting to hurt. He pulled out a change of clothes and headed into the bathroom for a shower.
  24. He can tolerate Danielle or Kristen, but not both at the same time. I'd also suggest keeping Ryan back. Even with Kristen there, she'd probably only flee. I'm pretty sure Henry is aware Kristen is going to flip out on Henry for showing up at a time like this.
  25. What is he doing? Henry was rather surprised by Claude's reactions. "I'm going to get a closer look. I suggest the rest of you stay back because I have a feeling all hell is going to break loose." Henry made his way forward when he was just able to make out something odd about the other girl's face. Is she crying? Okay, maybe I underestimated the situation. He turned around and gave a dirty glare at Ryan before continuing forward. I know Kristen and I aren't on the best of terms but this needs resolved before someone does something stupid.
