You don't know how much I actually want Henry to be there "comforting" Ryan. There are like a billion things I could do to get Ryan to punch Henry in the face.

I think I'm gonna let Kristen be the one to go after Danielle (she's done pretty good so far). I'm still indecisive on whether or not I should reveal a big chunk of Henry's backstory. It's pretty much going to grind down to what Danielle does. (Kristen's going to think Henry is all talk now. Too bad Henry doesn't care). Another thing, I decided to give Henry's friends names and personalities. They really aren't that important (technically one is, but I'm not saying which one).

Henry watched as Danielle got back up. He couldn't help but give a little smile. "A heart, no matter how dark or broken, can be purified with a bit of trust and compassion. I guess that goes for humans too." Henry then locked eyes with the Murkrow. "It seems I've been caught before I could make a move. What a pity as I have little choice but to give up now. I'll be honest, part of me is relieved, while another is pissed. It's kind of like those classmates I used to hang out with in Phenac. Just thinking about it, I wonder what they're doing right now." Henry began jogging down memory lane. He rarely did this as he preferred to forget those happy memories as a kid. He remembered the days where he'd walk to the pre-gym where his mother would teach classes to many young kids including himself. He recalled the day of his first battle. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 years ago... "Hey Henry, watcha doing?" A boy in a yellow shirt began tapping his shoulder. "Just a bit of reading. We have a big test over type weaknesses tomorrow. I still keep forgetting Bug is weak to Rock." Henry closed the book and placed it to the side. "Wait, what? I don't even know how you remember stuff like that. Steel type messes with my head. I always thought it was weak to Ghost and Dark." "Fred, you never think. That's why you're always asking questions in class. Maybe if you paid attention, you'd be at the top like Henry and I." A boy with black hair and red shirt came up to the table. He looked over at Henry. "I see you're trying to play catch up to me. Sorry, but that's not going to happen." "Hey, you're just jealous Henry's better than you. He even taught more than half the stuff Ali and I know, right Ali?" Fred gestured a girl with blonde hair sitting at a table nearby. She silently nodded her head without saying a word. "I wouldn't call that much of an accomplishment. You two are the bottom of the class. I bet Henry still doesn't even have a Pokemon yet." The red shirt boy smiled seeing as the boy in yellow was about to blow a fuse. "Actually David, I do." Henry saw a surprised look on both boys' faces as a Skitty jumped up on the table. "My neighbors are usually too busy that they hired me to house sit this Skitty. She became so attached they decided to just give it to me." "...Maybe I can borrow one of my brother's so I can finally prove I'm better than you to those two twerps." David wasn't going to be beat by this kid so easily. "Kick his butt, Henry," responded Fred. "I really don't know too much about battling." Henry looked down and saw the Skitty smile back at him. "Rosie seems okay with it so I guess I'll try my best." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Five years later, and I've still never beaten him in a battle. Suddenly, Henry heard a noise that knocked him out of his daydream. He sent out both his Vulpix and Drilbur from their Poke balls. "Zuko, Burrows, Gypsy, stand guard. I'm not sure whether or not that's friend or foe. Don't do anything until I give the order." The Drilbur tried to salute Henry, but ended up banging his head. Zuko gave a quick chuckle angering his new comrade. "It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?"

(Takes a deep breath) The roots are similar to a pokemon battle. Each pokemon has four attack moves and two status moves (so far we only have level up moves, but better moves can be learned later on). Each person takes a turn to post (I don't know how we decide who goes first, we just do). With only the moves known by the Pokemon, you think of what you'll have your Pokemon do to attack your opponents ie maybe a plain old Fire Blast on a Scizor. Your opponent may weaken the attack with a Vacuum Wave in order to survive and then go all offensive with a Wing Attack. As long as you don't go overboard (cough*Magnemite*cough) and keep it a fair fight, you have a lot of freedom how you use attacks. Pretty much if you don't launch five attacks in one post and dodge every attack from your opponent, you probably won't cause any issues. Edit: my grammar is off today

This. The only thing I'd like to add is that battles would be a hell of a lot more boring to write. I (or maybe someone else) introduced the idea of two attacks being used in a turn while quite a few of us pioneered the idea of using classic attacks in whole new ways. Creative minds are rewarded, but the uncreative aren't punished. Edit: I don't mind battling for fun with Henry's team on PO, but it wouldn't count towards anything in the RP.

I considered Henry's Drilbur finding a random egg shortly before hatching, but I think I'm going to go with an already hatched/wild one. She'll be just old enough to be allowed to venture off on her own. Edit: @Antares: I don't think any real harm was done. Thanks for clearing that up and I'm sure we'll be prepared if it happens again.

You probably missed it, but is it possible to get a Togepi on this trip? She'll probably stay a Togetic for a long time as Togekiss learns no moves.

(Looks at topics to see if anyone chose Togekiss as an option). I guess I could swap the catch order and replace Glalie with Togekiss, but I figured a lot of people would want one. Actually, I will do it. Take that Delphox. Edit: Chim, is it possible to find a Togepi Egg (or just a Togepi is fine) on the trip?

While Henry is a cruel character, I try hard to avoid offending anyone. Things like those are just...poorly written and usually offensive. Another Note: I doubt Henry is homophonic (I guess it is possible, but it's more like the PC doesn't give a hoot about anyone) nor would he want to be around Arius.

Henry hesitated for a moment before responding to that order. "As much as I would love to act right now, it seems you beat me to the punch already. She must've taken something you said to heart. Once she's away from everybody, I'll make my move." He thought for a minute before figuring what was going on. He couldn't help but grin. "So that's why you mentioned Slade before. Please tell me you're not into that kid too. He's worse than me." Henry tried holding back the laughs. "Sorry, but it's hilarious trying to picture those two together. That also explains why Jacob was acting so strange yesterday. You people make this too easy on me." Henry moved away from Kristen and into an area with people he barely knew. A large grind could be seen on his face as he occasionally glanced at Danielle. I feel sorry for anyone who has feelings for you. Slade...of all people. What do you see in him?

Don't worry, if Kristen agrees to work with Henry, she'll still be the main star. Henry will likely do things in the background unnoticed to help. I do have a general idea what he'll do if she still refuses his proposal. I also left room for Evan to either choose to help Henry or warn Danielle as I honestly have no idea what he'll do. Then again, he could just remain neutral.

Henry turned to Evan and responded, "I was just playing with my new toy. It seems to be broken though. I simply offered my assistance to help her against Danielle, but you can see she's fooling herself to think she will be successful without any help." Henry then turned back to Kristen with a laugh. "Do you really want to try and face me at my own game? Unlike Danielle, I'm not afraid to bite. I wouldn't even bother throwing romance into it because I doubt any guy would fall for you. You'd kill to have a line of boys wanting you like that girl over there. I can help you get what you want, but you'd have to be willing to cooperate. If you don't want my help, just give me a simple no and I'll drop the subject. Also, you should to learn to control that attitude. You're making quite a poor image of yourself to others."

Hmm...wasn't expecting Danielle to catch on so quickly. All that really changes is my approach. Having Danielle know Henry's intentions is really just a minor setback.

Henry began to clap slowly at the ginger's performance. "Bravo, bravo, I am completely unimpressed. Clearly you've done your research, but your execution was sub par. You gave the girl too much time to realize how empty your words really were. No matter, all is not lost yet. Watch and learn. Try not taking any of this to heart, okay?" Henry's voice was only able to reach Evan and Kristen. He then began speaking a bit louder so that more people could hear him. "Really now? You'd put you're own reputation just because some random girl became popular. You even went so low that you'd attack her without Sir Knight or Sir Phones to protect her. Clearly, you didn't realize Danielle isn't so helpless by herself. I doubt you even made a dent in her spirit." Henry took a breath of air and wanted to see if Kristen caught on to what he was doing. "You probably said all those empty lies to hide what you're really feeling. You're just simply jealous that she's getting everything you ever wanted. I still don't understand why anyone would value any of that worthless stuff anyways." Henry then moved so that his back was facing Danielle and began to talk in a soft voice again. "Now act pissed. I'll then make my move on her."

That feel when everything is going along perfectly according to Henry's plan. Ginger really should've listened to Henry.

You're probably going to want to murder Henry when you see what he does. Again, staying silent for the time being.

Poor Danielle. She has the cards stacked against her now. Evan, Ginger, and now Henry. For the time being, my lips are sealed why Henry changed sides.

Henry gave a chuckle seeing the ginger performance. "Bloody gingers. They think they're better than anybody else. Just give her time. She'll ask for my help when she realizes what she's up against." Henry focused back on the Gibles now seeing a young boy in the middle of them. Henry slowly and carefully approached the group. "You seem to be having fun there. Keep this up and they might make you one of their own." Henry seemed to feel better now that his attention was diverted from Danielle.

Henry couldn't help but give a little smile after hearing Danielle's words. The smile quickly disappeared and Henry looked at Danielle playing with the dragons. "I'm not going to fall for that again. I think I've been a little too nice to her which is why that flattery is getting to my head." Henry looked at the Venonat and then back at Danielle. "It's about time I took action instead of sitting in the background." Gypsy was rather confused at her master's sudden change in character, but got over it once he tossed her an Oran Berry. Henry went over to the red haired girl and began talking to her. "I'm not sure what you think of me, but I'm willing to help. The name's Henry, and you are?"

Sorry Darklight about the berry, but I'm just happy I get to be evil again. I'm going to let the two tango a bit more before I get Henry involved (right now he's just throwing fuel to the flame).

"I would've guessed it was your sass," Henry grumbled. Danielle probably heard him, but he really didn't care. "It seems you've been around me a little bit too much to shrug something like that off. Whether or not that's a good thing I don't know. You seem to have the situation under control, but I can step in at any time if you want." Henry looked over to the red haired girl. "I don't know what have against Danielle, but you gonna have to do better than that. I'm sure you yourself have heard the stories about me. If she can tolerate someone like that, what makes you think she wouldn't shrug off empty insults like yours?" While this was going on, Gypsy was glaring at the delicious berry. Danielle's movement only tempted the Venonat to take action. With a quick movement, Gypsy used Confusion to cause the berry to slip out of Danielle's hand and into Gypsy's mouth. The Pokemon gobbled it down before anyone could notice the crime she committed. It was all worth it for the delicious berry.

and Henry gets a show. inb4 Danielle and ginger get into a catfight. Danielle would totally win

You know, it's a bit boring without Shiro being around. Call me crazy, but I kind of miss the chaos he created already. Henry looked around and noticed Evan playing with the Gible. I should probably thank him for what he did with the Hydreigon...Henry's though was interrupted when he heard a red haired girl talk to smack to Danielle. And trouble never seems to avoid me. May as well have a little fun. Henry made his way over to Danielle. "You must tell me how you do it. Even I couldn't make enemies this quickly."

@Antares: I was actually referring to scenarios where I unintentionally created conflict/issues. Most of them were resolved fairly quickly because I tend to try and avoid fighting. As for making a PC, don't try forcing us to do stuff like that. Mess around a bit and see how your PC fits in instead. Here's an idea you could work with. Why don't you play the role of looking up to someone instead of them looking up to you? I mean we have the Shiro and his "big brother" (not sure if Robert stole that role from me yet) and I can't think of any others off the top of my head. @Darklight: I actually loosely based Henry's new personality off a character from a book I'm "working" on. Sadly, he really doesn't do that character justice. I'm really surprised how many times his name has popped up whenever he's not around. I honestly thought he was going to end up being an invisible, irritating, and forgettable character. As for characters out of my comfort zone, I've pushed my self enough times I'm willing to play just about any role. The funnest ones are characters I have absolutely no idea how to portray.
