  1. @Antares: While your arguments are valid and reasonable, you're overlooking one thing. You'd get little to no activity as a teacher. The RP is mainly focused on student life so most teacher activity gets sent to the background (think about how many times we've actually seen Phoebe or Tyron, two of the main teachers, do something with students). The biggest issue I have with a teacher is the power to resolve conflicts. I really don't like the idea of someone outside of Chim and his Co-hosts to be able to have powers to step in and resolve a conflict. We already had a few conflicts regarding that and this would just make that issue stronger. For lack of a better word, you'd probably end up being a dick by ruining an epic student to student moment scene. I'm not saying it's a bad concept, but I really don't trust you with that kind of power from what I've seen you post so far. There's really no other way for me to say it. Maybe if a well respected RPer recommended you be great at that role I'd have a different impression, but that's just where I stand.
  2. It'll hit harder than a Mega Metagross's As for Major Burrows, Here is his info (I'll put it in Henry's bio in a minute)
  3. As Henry and the others examined the dragons, a small creature dug itself to the surface. A Drilbur popped its head out of the hole after being awakened by children's footsteps. Being a fairly new resident, he had no idea what was going on and decided to go and take a look. He was half asleep causing to trip over a rock before finally reaching what caused the sound. He saw some oddly colored Dragonairs and Dratinis decided to join the cave. He walked up to one to greet his new neighbors. This particular Dratini was rather strange. It didn't seem to react to anything he did or say. He decided to put on his thinking cap and realized that maybe this dragon was in a bad mood. The best course of action to solve this problem was to give him a great big, warm hug. After all, everybody likes hugs. Meanwhile, Henry was focused on the Garchomp. He heard stories of a very powerful one that rests in Sinnoh. One of the rumors was that the champion's Garchomp was able to sweep teams without them even landing a hit. So this is the almighty land shark. One day, I hope I can do battle with one. Henry's thoughts were immediately interrupted when abrupt pain came from his bad leg. He immediately clasped to try and muzzle out the screams of pain coming from him. Thankfully, only those nearby could hear him. Gypsy was also knocked off and didn't enjoy the hard landing. She looked over to Henry's leg and noticed some mole thing wrapping its giant arms around it. She tried knocking it off with a Confusion, but it didn't seem to be enough. Henry then looked down and noticed a Drilbur with its claw partially dug into where Zuko burnt Henry's leg. He place his cane in between his leg and the Pokemon and successfully cropped the Pokemon off his leg. The Drilbur was upset that the Dratini was so resilient and thought a second hug would do the trick this time. Henry decided that the Drilbur wasn't worth the hassle of catching seeing how clingy he was so he shooed him away. He then looked noticed a couple Gible hanging close to the Garchomp. Maybe I could figure a way to catch one of the...OH SWEET MOTHER OF ARCEUS! Henry felt the pain come back, but was able to avoid yelling in pain this time. Without even thinking, he pulled out the empty Poke Ball on his belt and threw it at the Drilbur. To his surprise, the Pokemon was sucked into the Poke Ball. The Poke ball shook 1...2...3 times before finally making a click noise. Henry was dumbfounded at the scene. That...that was my Skitty's Poke Ball. There's no possible way that should've happened unless...Dad, I'm going to kill you for this. Henry let out a sigh before finally picking the ball up. "I thought that was Zuko's Poke ball, but I guess this can't be helped. At least I didn't anger the dragons. I guess I'll call you Major Burrows. Hopefully, I can manage to turn you into something decent." With that, Henry put the Poke Ball on his belt and went back to watching the Gible.
  4. Chim, is it alright to introduce Henry's Drilbur now or should I wait? I just thought of an amusing way for the two to meet.
  5. Capturing someone for recruitment is a foolish move. (XD's Shadow Pokemon Lab is a great example of what happens). Let them come to you instead. We might see some influence on a couple of PCs such as Evan though. I'd rather see some students be captured as hostages (we won't see that for a while though). Edit: Just assume Henry headed outside. I just don't feel like posting him doing that.
  6. Patience young grasshopper. Good things take time for them to happen. By the way, Henry would've absolutely lost it if you made his room a winter wonderland. You guys are going to have wet carpets/rugs for the whole trip. I might reveal some Henry backstory on the trip that I based on Cipher taking over Phenac City. The way Henry acts should start making more sense.
  7. "Dragons are strong, but those power hungry trainers don't understand that it means little when it comes to battling." Henry pulled out the empty pokeball on his belt and tossed it in the air. "A trainer must learn how to control that kind of power or they will be controlled by it. The obsession is unnoticeable at first, but it'll grow into something inescapable. It makes me wonder sometimes if this academy is making better trainers or creating new monsters." Henry hesitated a moment realizing what he just said out loud. "Forget I said that last part. I tend to think in the extremes."
  8. Crawdaunt seems to be good on paper (haven't tested it out yet, but I will eventually). You can find it by smashing rocks on the beach. Lanturn was a very good choice, but it was replaced by Floatzel (who isn't too terrible). I don't know how Ludicolo performs in Reborn, but it's definitely a fun choice if you're willing to experiment. Mudkip can be found in the wasteland which is a great choice if you want a Water/Ground type. I've used one and it's actually quite good. The only other good water type available soon would be Clawncher, but you won't be able to get him for quite a while. I'm sure Esteian or someone would be able to confirm if any of these pokemon are good or bad in the game.
  9. He's quite flamboyant though. That's probably why he's going to get on Evan's nerves.
  10. To simply put it, power is usually referred to as the influence someone has on others or themselves. Those with a lot of power tend to be hard to take down because of how many fight on his/her side. Jericho explained the rest so well so I'll leave it at that. Strength is a bit tricky to explain as there's both physical and mental. Physical strength is just how strong someone is. The best way to explain mental strength is the ability to do right when everyone else is wrong. The latter may seem easy, but you'd be surprised how many people just walk away and ignore any problems that they come across.
  11. @Bfroger and Turbo: Shiro seems to be a magnet for trouble so I'd assume the Hydreigon isn't the only scenario that's come up and there probably a few not as dangerous ones during the timeskip. I'll edit my post if you want me to.
  12. "...Well, don't you worry, I don't mind being on top." I'm glad I'm not in that room. Henry thought to himself as he headed back to his room. He gave a shudder at the thought of what was going on, but didn't dare peak into that room. When he got back to his room, he entered to see a pleasant surprise. "Been a long time hasn't it, bug boy? I didn't think you'd hatch out of your Kakuna so quickly for a rematch...or did you stumble in here without knowing who you were dealing with? Honestly, I could care less. I'm just relieved I won't have to deal with my over-clingy roommate and his super overly nice and too supportive 'brother.' This is a joyous occasion for me so I'll play nice for now." Henry wasn't going to let anything stop his freedom. He had to tolerate all of Shiro's mishaps for the past month and hear Robert's voice as he tried helping through these situations. He needed this more than anything.
  13. (I really love how I unintentionally made Henry this standoffish. So much better than the original idea). Go ahead. I don't mind having these two clash heads once in a while. Maybe we'll have another dishroom scene scenario.
  14. Henry ain't this wise old man (I do love that quote though). It'd be interesting to see Robert interpret Henry's actions like that though. Henry would say something more like this: "Friends are nothing more than lies. Given the right conditions, they'll stab you in the back and leave you there to die. The only person in the world you can truly trust is yourself and even he's questionable at times."
  15. I'm surprised that none of you mentioned that Henry's group has far less members than the other three. Nothing suspicious there. As for Danielle, I don't think it bothered Henry that much (especially compared to Shiro). He probably just views her as incompetent. @Turbo: All the things I wish I could tell you. Part of the reason I want Henry to avoid Shiro and Robert completely is that it'll allow Robert to have character development.
  16. "Fair enough," Henry replied. He then watched Mareek leave the room. Now I just have to wait and see who the fourth will be. Henry pulled off his backpack and began unloading most of his things. He slid the black folder under his spare clothes in the dresser hoping no one would notice it. The only thing left in his backpack were supplies needed for the trip. I guess growing up in a dessert finally paid off. Maybe I'll choose something from where we're going instead of a Drilbur. He saw James leave the room and decided to do the same closing the door behind him. He really didn't want anyone to know which room he was in.
  17. When Henry heard the members of his group, he couldn't be happier. Thank lord Arceus Shiro and Robert aren't in my group. Now all I need to do is find an almost full cabin. Henry saw Mareek and James in a cabin and walked in whether or not they wanted him or not. "If anyone asks if I'm in this room, tell them no. This might be my only chance to gets those two idiots away from me."
  18. Zoroark is one of those pokemon that gives me a headache to think about. Really it should be limited to being able to disguise itself (and Zoroak has been proven to talk in B/W 2 only in human form, but Zorua was unable to speak in B/W even in human form). As for the illusion, the actors will play what's written on the script perfectly, but that doesn't mean they know everything about the character they're acting. (Also, assume the Zoroak has been watching you every minute so it'd know everything Zeke knows as well). As for teams, one thing you could do is run 3 dark types instead of 9 for a mono team. That's what I'm doing for Henry's Rock team.
  19. My, my Chim, you've set up a very interesting stage. I'm curious to see which actors will play which parts in the coming events. @Zephyr and Azery: I'm not sure if I said this, but I changed around my team to include Cacturne and Jellicent. I tried to design a team similar to a Cipher admin (you'll see it better once Henry gets 8 of his 10 Pokemon).
  20. Wait a minute, what? Henry was surprised Lana and Raiza knew each other. He overheard part of the conversation when trying to get over to Lana. The two didn't really seem like the ones who'd talk to each other especially with that Litwick hanging around. I guess I shouldn't judge. Henry was about to move when he suddenly lost his balance. He tried using his cane to stop from falling only to realize it was strapped to his backpack. Gypsy saved him by using confusion to halt him for a second. Henry used this to swing his good foot out to regain his balance. He quickly pulled the walking stick out after that incident. "You know, I probably could try the Pokedex. I never used that thing so I tend to forget about it." Henry pulled out the device and read the bio on Drilburs. "Looks like I'll be looking for it in caves or gardens it seems. Of course, the trouble is going to get it to come up above ground. Guess I'll have time to think about it though." Henry then continued following the bigger group hoping no one saw that little scene he made.
  21. Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. (I already accidentally gave you way too much help already. You'll have to figure the rest on your own).
  22. Very observant of you. Let me also give you another tidbit: smart people are never to be trusted. If you don't keep a close eye on them, you may eventually fall into their trap.
  23. @Antares: Sorry if this sounds blunt, but you are misunderstanding how crime organizations work (they're quite a bit different than what you think). 1.) Levels make a big difference and we use game logic with anime fight style. Don't pull some BS like a Scizor would easily defeat a Rapidash at the same level just because I'm better than you at battling. 2). Maybe you can say your PC misses the ability to walk into the forest (you're not allowed to venture off otherwise there could be sever consequences). 3). Not the best quote to use. I'll respond by using one of my PC's best quotes "I could see it in his eyes. He was desperate to win. Too desperate if you ask me. Pushing a Pokemon like that can have some serious consequences, even causing permanent injuries. I've seen it happen too many times before." 4). You misunderstand Cal. He was only taken into Meteor because of his brother's words. He was nothing more than dirt to Meteor (they didn't even find his treason a threat). Your PC is no different. RoG doesn't give a damn that you're from the academy as they already know what they need to about the academy. You're just a grunt expected to follow orders. 5.) When RoG scouts, they are looking for loyalty, not necessarily talent. Everyone starts out as a piece of dirt until they EARN a name by proving their loyalty and being successful at missions. In the big people's eyes, you're are nothing more than an easily replaceable grunt. ((Chim, please correct me on anything I'm wrong or mistaken about anything))
  24. I'm going to be gone for the next 8 hours so please feel free to bunny Henry so we don't have to wait on me (and I'm going to probably be too tired to post until tomorrow).
  25. Drilbur's are found in caves/mountains in the games, but are classified as field mons so I have absolutely no idea where to find one. I'm hoping it's available in the field area so that I can make a reference before catching him.
