  1. @Turbo: I wanna say something, but at the same time I don't. My only hint is that Henry would only give Zuko to someone he trusted. While I had something different planned, I could implement a way (with Chim's permission) for Robert or another PC to get Zuko if anyone really wants him (I'd PM you how it'd work similar to what I did to Bfroger for Tal and Henry's leg). I do prefer my method of handling this, but I'm not going to turn someone down if they really don't want to see Zuko go.
  2. You people have little faith in me. I'm not simply going to trade Zuko away to some random trainer for a Skitty. It'll actually make sense when you see it. And yes, I remember Chim saying that Pokemon couldn't have multiple abilities and there weren't items. Edit: @K_H: Evasion shouldn't be consider a stat. Speed is how a pokemon dodges. Besides, dodging attacks should be scarcely used otherwise it will be banned.
  3. When I was trying to build my final team, I tried to ignore the elephant in the room, but I'm going to have to do something otherwise Zuko is pretty much going to be a waste of space later on. I was wondering if I could trade Zuko in for a Skitty after the trip (I'll incorporate it into the RP). If not, can I at least swap Zuko's ability for Flash Fire? I tried working with it, but Drought is gonna hurt me in the long run.
  4. I'm considering it (not in this chapter though). And yes, I've run up and down 8 floors of stairs before. It's actually not that bad TBH. (I'm might make an FFVII reference out of it). Edit: @Murdoc: Henry is going to hate you so much now. I can't remember if Ryan or Kage lives in the room next door.
  5. @Turbo: It's kind of a joke because there's usually a way to unlock it from the inside (Henry is the only one I can control otherwise I'd totally have Brandon say something about it). In reality, Henry would probably laugh at them and just walk away (though he probably wouldn't head that way anyways)
  6. Now I want to see you guys get locked in the Janitor's closet. I could then have Henry make you guys look like idiots.
  7. While Henry was walking, he overheard a conversation between Danielle, Jacob, and a group of other kids. Really, it's not that big of a deal. Though Devin did sugarcoat it to make it look like poachers are evil. Some of those people don't have much of a choice and really do have good hearts. Henry then watched a whole scene play out with Mareek's Porygon. Looks like someone needs to let that Porygon know it's place. Then again, intelligent Pokemon are a pain to work with. Henry then decided it'd be better to find walk away and find and area without any trainers to bug him. Henry found a nice quiet tree eventually and sat down by it. He pulled a black folder out of his backpack and looked at some strange looking papers. The notes on them would likely look like gibberish, but Henry spent much time learning the language of these two scientist. He look through page after page trying to find something in them. He was so focused, he didn't realize Gypsy had snuck into his backpack and ate the whole supply of berries.
  8. @Serge: I think it's probably better to wait until the 30-40 range to introduce items. If we do it now, everyone is just going to slap Eviolites on their pokemon. Speaking of waiting, I'm probably going to evolve Zuko with the rest of the team in the 30s.
  9. "I don't even want to hear your advice on health. You probably had the freedom pick and choose whatever you wanted to eat, unlike me." Henry got back on his feet and turned away from the girl. "Why do you keep bothering me? If it's battling advice, I'd look to someone else. I'm sure most trainers could give much better tips." Henry pulled picked up his stick and signaled his pokemon to follow him. "Thanks to you, I'm going to have to find a much quieter spot. Quite a handful of people haven't got the memo of when to let me be." Henry took a quick glance at the damage on the tree. He remembered quite well when he made those marks. Now where the hell can I go that no one will bother me?
  10. I'm going to be gone for an orientation for a couple hours so feel free to bunny Henry if you need him.
  11. "These people," Henry griped walking off the bus. "The bloody idiots are going to kill me some day." Henry walked off towards a rock and sat down. "May as well learn to get along with them. Might need to use them as a meat shield one of these days. I'm just glad to be living another day." Gypsy gave him a funny look and Henry tossed her an Oran Berry from his backpack. "It's something I learned in Orre. Trust no one and use everyone to your advantage."
  12. So the academy is on an intermission and I'm completely on a blank what do even do before the trip. So I'm just gonna listen to Colosseum music to try and get an idea. I used to run around in Pyrite Town just to hear its theme.
  13. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/696959-pokemon-x/70337678 there's the list of confirmed new moves. Castform...I hope that thing gets a mega. I know it'd be a pain, but I like it.
  14. @Chim: Imagine a criminal obsessed about appeal and being attractive to the masses. She also has a bit of a flirty personality. As for the heart thing, be my guest.
  15. For the sake of convenience, I'm just going to place Cipher's timeline between 111 for Colosseum's and 116 for XD. Johto's Radio Tower takeover would then be able to tie in to the capture of Lugia. I may be off by a year or two, but that pretty much would line up with Chim's timeline and stay true to the Orre plot. That would make Henry 6 during Colosseum and 11 during XD. Damn, I can do a lot with that. Edit: I actually did a Nuzlocke of Colosseum so the plot is pretty fresh in my head...while I was successful, I'm never nuzlocking that game ever again. @Tacos: What if Lady Venus was Madame Plumeau? Knowing Chim, that one ain't gonna fly
  16. Henry heard the magic word ring in his ears. “Yes, they came from Johto. Nobody bothered to dig deeper into that fine detail because they thought Cipher was done for. In reality, that Cipher was nothing more than a small branch of the whole group. Evice remained silent because everything happened just as the real leader expected. Now they could fulfill their secret mission in Johto without a single soul knowing about it. Orre's technology was ahead of it's time, with Cipher two steps ahead of that. The three dogs were simply practice for there real goal. I don't know if they had connections, but the police was 'busy' handling the Rockets giving them opportunity to take their prize. They wanted something stronger than a legendary...they wanted a god. A long time ago, people worshiped a Pokemon known as Lugia. This Pokemon feared its power and hid itself away in a cave far from shore. Since everyone else was 'busy' with the Rockets, they were able to successfully capture this beast. I guess Kanto's Bird Trio was a bit of a bonus. So what did they do with this pokemon? Obviously, they turned it into a Shadow Pokemon, but that's not all. Lugia was now black. This beast could only be controlled by the true head of Cipher and was never purifiable. The original Lugia could destroy a town with a flap of it's wings, but this Lugia had the strength to lift an entire cruise ship. How is this possible? Cipher's research team wasn't twiddling their thumbs. They were busy learning the true potential of Shadow Pokemon. I'm sure you know the type chart, but Shadow is different. Imagine a move that was always super-effective. Only Shadows could resist these moves. Now imagine Shadow's powers being limitless. A Shadow could do almost anything, unlike a regular Pokemon. Lovrina, the new research head, used this data to create XD 001 aka Shadow Lugia. With this new powered up Pokemon, Cipher would be unstoppable. Cipher was inches away from world domination until a team led by a young research boy somehow made Greevil, the leader of Cipher, have a change of heart. Cipher was disbanded or that's what most believe. The research team was able to Purify and release the Lugia to be free once more. It all became one big happy ending. I don't know much after, but one of the Cipher Admins, Ardos, swore he'd revive Cipher to its former glory. No one knows what happened after so Cipher is officially declared dead again. I have a full report back in my dorm if you care to read it, but that's the basic story of the group. I'm more focused on what Ein referred to as a Pokemon's heart. In his reports, it's stated that all pokemon have part of their heart closed. I want to figure out how Ein closed their hearts completely so that I may do the complete opposite. I'm curious how powerful a pokemon will be if you completely open its heart seeing how strong it is if you completely close it. I'm sure you have your reasons wanting to know about Cipher, but I won't pry into them. Some secrets are best kept hidden after all. To answer your question about Dakim, some say he's Alder, others rumor he's a distant relative living secretly with him. Cipher Admins have a funny way of blending into the crowd so no one really knows for sure what happened to him."
  17. No, I didn't. I just wanted to break it up otherwise, I'd would have a longer the post than Chim's. This was the boring part. (What if Corless was Ein instead of Ein being Corless). Once either Surge or Dobby posts, I'll finish the story. I'm actually working on it right now.
  18. Henry saw Claude wasn't going to leave so he began talking. "I'll try to be brief as possible. Originally, a man named Nascour claimed to be the leader of Cipher, but even he remained well hidden in order to keep their works a secret. During the early years, an Admin named Ein was in charge of a group of researchers studying the hearts of Pokemon to make them even more powerful. Through many experiments, he learned that shutting the hearts of Pokemon turned them into machines that could use a new type of move called he coined as Shadow. Only one weak move was discovered, but the Pokemon, owned by another trainer, was completely obedient. The head of Cipher became very interested and struck a deal with Snagem, thieves who steal pokemon, for subjects to test this new type of Pokemon out. Cipher secretly passed a few of the weaker Pokemon to start a craze of power. Colosseum matches rose and crime became a key part of life. Cipher used their admins to rise to the top and rule towns such as Pyrite with an Iron fist. The mayor of Phenac City, the true leader of the organization, abused his power to make sure his secret project would be completed without any disruption. He built a giant tower as a symbol for a new world order. Ultimately, Evice, mayor of Phenac, overlooked one small problem. An ex-Snagem member stole a machine called a Snag Machine and took many of the Shadow Pokemon to become his own. He found a way to return these pokemon to become normal and used them to help form a team to take down Cipher and end their reign. Evice thought little of the boy, but most of his admins saw the danger and fled before they could be arrested. Miror B became a performer and Dakim retreated to Unova, but the other two, Venus and Ein, remain a mystery. There is one thing odd about the admins though. Most of them possessed one of the mythical Pokemon known as the Legendary Dogs. Anyone here know what region they are said to originate from?"
  19. If the Tropius eats the banana it grew, is it considered cannibalism?
  20. Dodrio: someone can fly through the air without wings Tropius: somehow has the ability to Fly through the sky despite its weight (I guess Skarmory does too, lol) Pidgeot: Bird Jesus...that's all I got By the way, Evan has Clefable, but no one is doing Lunatone/Solrock (I'm considering Solrock)
  21. @Thomas: 1. Solrock/Lunatone, Claydol, Clefable 2. Probopass, Accelegor, Deerling? 4. Dodrio/Pidgeot, Tropius, Drifblim 5. (Henry is gonna joke about that at some point if you don't) @Surge: Henry is going to let Claude have nightmares for the rest of his life if he wants to stay. My next post is going to be kind of long.
  22. Henry watched Claude walk into the conversation just before he was about to speak. "Cipher has a talent of covering their tracks to make sure all members are safe from punishment. I've been doing my own research on Ein following his notes to try and figure out how he cracked the code to Pokemon. He learned to control them in ways thought impossible and do things no man has done before. I had to make a deal with the devil with an Ex-cipher code named Naps just to get those alone." Henry turned to Claude. "Mareek and I are discussing something you probably don't want to be apart. What I was about to discuss is highly confidential information with most of it obtained illegally. Unless you have interest in police work, I suggest you turn around and leave. Just know you'll be accountable for anything you hear."
  23. Okay, I finally decided Beedrill is going to be my Mega. I'm going to keep Glalie though, but without being a Mega. Edit: I can't choose between Glalie, Beedrill, and the rumored Mega Solrock (Fake unless GF is hiding something). Why must this be so hard?
  24. I wasn't planning on Henry revealing any of that, but this was probably the best opportunity to do Zuko's backstory with a bit of Henry's. Don't worry about having a deep backstory. You can do quite a lot with a little.
  25. Henry was a bit surprised when someone mentioned the name Cipher. "So you know about them. Cipher may be dead, but their ghost still haunts the region. Because of them there became an opsession of power. Some people abuse their pokemon for the glory, but others to live another day. It's pathetic when you watch trainers have to almost kill their pokemon just to eat. That's why Shadow Pokemon haven't died out. That's why people like my dad have jobs to find and rescue these pokemon from their trainers. Even so, authorities cannot even take action on any abuse other than shadows. I'm sure you have your own share of experiences of trouble if you know who Cipher is. Or you're a fan of police work. Quite impressive nonetheless." Henry became quite interested in the boy. There was definitely something odd about him because Cipher's name was pretty much lost in history. Henry knew most of their records were stolen or erased, meaning this boy had to have done his research.
