Just for that, Henry will now have a walking stick to get around for the next 4 weeks. Gypsy is my big, purple fluffy stress ball. @Turbo: Be my guest and take Shiro off of Henry's hands and make Robert x Shiro the thing people want to see. Besides, Henry needs to spend more time with other people. Edit: Maybe Henry wouldn't be so grumpy if someone bought him pain medication...who knows.

Henry eventually made his way over to the Kingdra area before deciding to sit under a nearby tree. He pulled out a Poke ball and summoned his Venonat. "Listen you two, I'm not going to get far without that ice pack. I need it to keep my mind distracted from the pain." Henry pulled out a small plastic bag and gave it to Zuko. "I'm starting to think we might need an ice type around, but I'm not going to pick it just because I'm in a little pain. Drilbur is what I agreed upon before leaving and that's what I'll get. Now fill that bag up with Water and convince the Kingdra to freeze it with Ice Beam or something. If you fail, you'll be hearing a lot of griping from me." The duo took off and closely approached the water. The Venonat help the bag in place with Confusion while Zuko lifted it up with its teeth. The two noticed the Kingdra in the distance and were unsure how to approach without getting blasted. ((I don't care if they fail or not. This is just the most logical place Henry would go to secretly get ice for his leg.)) -
@Darklight: I guess you and Shiro could have some alone time. At least you have options. I'm pretty sure Lana and Sissy are the only people who would even talk to Henry out of his options. @Chim: Poor Alvin again (seriously, he hates Danielle as much as Henry). I really want to see Claude fly off into the sunset now. Hope he's not as terrified as Henry would be.

As soon as Sissy was out of his site, Henry sat down struggle to hold back yells of pain. He pulled up his right pant leg to reveal bandages surrounding his leg. He slowly unraveled the bandages and pulled out an empty bag. "Why did it have to break here of all places?" Henry looked then looked at his leg and wrapped the bandages to completely surround it. "We're very fortunate I was able to get Gypsy and I away on time. Just when I thought I forced Heat Wave out of you, it comes back up. What kind of cruel trainer even teaches a move like that to a young and weak pokemon? We gotta work on controlling your fear once we get back." The Vulpix felt sorry and rubbed his head against him because he was putting his trainer through so much pain. "Don't worry about it," Henry responded. He got back onto his feet, still in pain. "You could say I'm used to it by now." He lied and slowly struggled to even move more than a few feet. "Come on Henry, this should be nothing to you." He started to walk at a normal pace, but he couldn't hide the pain he was in on his face any longer. ((While Zuko can do Heat Wave, he is unable to use or control it meaning its not one of his learned moves)) -
So glad Henry took a burn to the ankle to avoid that. Henry seeing that Salamence would be priceless though (Bagon is his least favorite Pokemon). Edit: I've only had a really bad first degree burn, so I could only imagine the pain Henry is in since it's obvious his nerves didn't shut down.

The female temptation is Mr. Bigglesworth's wife. I'm fine having Henry lose the guys as that's what he's been trying to do anyways. Kindness kills Henry @Zephyr: LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYY JEEENKINS!

I was so tempted to have Zuko use Confuse Ray so Henry could flee, but then I remembered Henry can't run. Henry is starting to panic as Devin's place is the last place he wants to go right now.

"If it was the pain I was worried about, I would've asked to stay behind, besides, that wasn't the day that accident happened. If you saw what happened, you'd avoid me at all costs. Just let me handle my problems my way. I learned the ways of Pyrite Town so something like this is easy on me." Henry kept walking and grumbled, "Stupid girl leaving me to take care of this dangerous thing thousands of miles away. I'll get expelled because of it if it doesn't kill me first." -

Never seen her before. Normally, I'd shoo her away, but I don't want her getting help. Besides, I can't have people talking about my leg injury either. "Don't worry about this little thing. It was an accident that happened in training, but it really doesn't hurt as much as I make it out to be. See, I can walk just fine." Henry was able to portray himself walking normal concealing the amount of pain he was in. "Now stop worrying about me and go and enjoy the banquet of dragons." "May as well learn each other's names for future reference." Mostly, so that I can add to my who to avoid list. "The name's Henry. It's best to avoid using that name around people. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way." Henry slowly began limping and hoped he didn't attract any more attention to himself. -

Stupid leg. Henry felt a pain every time he made a step. He slowly made his way through into the forest struggling to make his walk look fine. "These trainers getting all worked up about Dragons. 'Lolz, I have a dragon so it's impossible to beat me. There's no way a pathetic trainer like you could win.' Guess the folks here aren't much better. I really don't care where, but I badly need to sit down. I badly need to get my mind off you-know-what." Henry walked a bit further and popped out of the forest and saw Devin's house. "This is going to be a very long day." He turned around and tried again, this time sending out Zuko. "Find a Dragon no one cares to look at. It'll keep people from bothering me with questions about my injury." -
If it makes you feel better, Mareek would destroy me (Probably Jordan and Slade too because I am too damn lazy to even bother countering OP things like in their battle). Also how would Pin Missle bu...nevermind that's dangerous.
-
Don't let it get to you. Battle like how you feel your PC would. Maybe your PC struggles to win battles like Shiro's does. She probably could ask one of the better fighting PCs for a bit of advice (or leech them into giving her a tactic). One example would be Henry. Keep bothering him and he'll probably teach you one so that you'll leave him alone.
-
You might wanna be careful otherwise this might happen: @Tacos: Just do whatever you want and we'll work with it.
-
No offense, but Henry would own James in a battle right now. Tinted Lens Venonat would do neutral damage to both Pokemon AND Zuko has ember and feint attack. As for Magnemite, I already know a counter to Exlinks OP strategy: While Sonicboom can counter/block physical attacks, it's useless against a light attack like Confuse Ray. This pretty much leaves it an open target to a super effective attack like Ember. As for Lock-on, 101 is a sitting target. I'm pretty sure you can figure the rest out.
-
@Tses: Of all the people to choose from, Henry probably is the one I'd least expect getting a compliment. I like you already. I'm curious to see what you'll do next. Not much left to do since I finished Henry's act (I was planning on having the leg injury reveal during the trip).

I know it's a bit of extreme bunnying, but that was more of a gift for letting me use Tal. You have my permission to do whatever you want with the ice skating idea as it is your pokemon. (Technically, you did say to keep her diva personality in the PM). Edit: Oh crap, I can't believe I missed that Can't Type. (Computer is really laggy on weekends). Bfroger and I were discussing that Henry was secretly training Tal. I'm sure Kenny or some others are going to talk about Henry so you can either join that or witness his little training session and stop Henry in the hallways.
-
@Bfroger: I think I may have made myself jealous of your Snorunt. I just see Ice Skating the kind of thing she'd like doing. It's not as OP as I made it out to be (I just wanted to show what you can do with it). Henry just knows Zuko all too well. Edit: If you want me to remove it, I can just change it to a normal training method. If you want to keep it, but change a few things, just PM me the edited version and I'll use that.

Henry noticed the Snorunt pulling his pant leg and used this as an opportune time to get away. "Running away from Shiro again I see. It's a bit late to learn a new trick, but it'd be good to do a review session. Zuko, Gypsy, I know I said training was over, but we have a special guest today." Henry headed out of the crowd into an empty space. Though his ankle was in pain, the ice made it so that he could tolerate it. Zuko and Tal took different sides of the field. Gypsy was sitting on the sidelines slowly working its way through Henry's large supply of berries. Henry than began lecturing, "As you know, Shiro will probably rely on Shun because she has the greater advantage, but you'll likely have to handle the rock type, despite your frail defenses. Zuko over there is going to try and act like a rock type. When you're ready, I'll give the orders." The Snorunt stood in a battle stance waiting for Henry to give the orders. Zuko began charging foward at the little Snorunt. "Tal, use Icy Wind." The Snorunt released a cold chill just barely powerful enough to freeze the ground. Zuko slipped and slid toward the Snorunt. "No skate on the ice and use Disable." The Snorunt began sliding with one leg, then the other. When Zuko was in range, there was a quick glow in her eyes. Zuko now forgot what he was doing. Just when the two were about to collide, Tal pushed off the ground and did a triple spin in the air to dodge. She gave a nice finishing pose to complete the trick. "Now, flip around and use Ice Shard." Tal pivoted on one foot while still heading away from the Vulpix. She launched a few icicle spears which seemed to anger Zuko more than hurt him. The Vulpix turned around and launched spurts of fire at the ice type. "Side step." The slid one way and then the other to barely dodge the attack. Zuko was now furious and released a large spinning fire attack at his opponent. "Right hook and Weather Ball." The Snorunt pushed herself to go right and towards the Vulpix now. The fire attack missed her leaving him completely exposed. The Snorunt took no time to lose and released a magical glowing sphere to knock the Vulpix right off its feet. "Good. Good. I think we should call it a day. You really improved from last time we tried this. Soon we can start with the more difficult stuff." The Snorunt gave a proud stance showing off that it was better than the Vulpix, a Pokemon with a type advantage on her. Zuko wasn't too thrilled as he rolled his eyes.. "We really should head back to the dorm. That was a little too close back there and I don't want Shiro running around looking for you." Henry and the three other Pokemon than walked back inside. All three were happy that they did so well in training today and proud of receiving Henry's approval. -
@Stratos: If you were the only person doing it, I wouldn't have said anything. (I didn't mean to single you out and I understand we can be busy). This RP is also very fast paced so I don't expect super quality stuff (I always miss like 3 typos per post). I just wanted to say something before a monkey see; monkey do thing happened. Just write the way you want. @Bfroger: I'm going to bunny Tal a little bit and try showing a bit of her diva side (feel free to use this strategy in your posts down the line). Also, I don't mind if you bunny my pokemon as long you keep it within reason.

I'm a bit against this thought process. Giving Pokemon HUMAN thoughts is generally a form of laziness. It's generally a better idea to SHOW what is going on in the pokemon's mind instead of TELLING us. I've been a bit lackluster in order to not make essay long posts. Here's a good example based upon Gypsy: Telling: Gypsy looked at the Magnemite and thought, gee, that's a delicious looking berry over there. Showing (more or less): Henry pointed to a Venonat who had her full attention on the Magnemite. She followed its rushing movements never losing site of it. Drool was coming from her mouth and Henry realized what was going on. She's probably mistaking it for an oversized berry. While that is not considered proper showing, you know what's going on in Gypsy's mind without her being portrayed as being as intelligent as a human. (I'm sure Jory or someone else could go deeper into this).

"How about we try to listen?" If that ever worked, we wouldn't be here arguing with each other. Also, where is that Snorunt when I need him the most? "Trust me, there are already two to many people dragged into this. At this point it's best to stay out of it, but I think it's more our ideals as to why we don't get along. He pushes his Pokemon to try and be at their prime, while I tend to focus more on tactics and communication." Henry's Vulpix turned around and looked at Henry. Henry pointed to the ground toward his ankle and the Pokemon understood as he jogged away from the battle. "Sorry, something slipped my mind and he can easily take care of it." Please hurry before anyone notices. "Now then, anything you'd like to add, Kenny?" ((Bfroger, all Tal needs to do is an ice attack on Henry's ankle he'll walk like normal. There's an ice pack down there that's melted)) -

I feel pretty bad about this, but I'm considering having both T-tar and Salamance (neither are my mega). T-tar would be very effective for my team and Salamence would be mostly for story reasons. I dropped Aerodactyl and I planned for him to be my mega. If I have to drop one, it'll be Salamence. Also, I'm waiting to see what Darklight does before making another post. Henry's gonna have some explaining to do.

"I'm sorry, but I thought you were cuing me to join. Still, it'd be kind weird since I just got here. Besides, it's been a while since I talked to some of my fellow Coordinators. Fixing that Xtransreciever and training really do drain up all my time." Henry looked at Kenny and noticed his job was done. "I really hope I didn't kill the moment. If I really am that bothersome, I guess I can leave." Henry was about to move when he felt his ankle hurting again. He showed a little sign he was in pain, but he doubted anyone would notice. "On second though, it might be better if I stay here as Gypsy seems to be really into watching the battle." Henry pointed to a Venonat who had her full attention on the Magnemite for some odd reason. Perhaps she's mistaking it for an oversized berry.
