It's commonly theorized that Papyrus was holding back during your fight with him, I mean. His 'totally normal attack' is one of the hardest attacks to completely dodge and his blue attack flips the games mechanics.
Sans on the other hand, is holding nothing back. He's literally doing everything in his power to break the player, not Frisk. He goes against all the standard mechanics in the game, trying to play on your expectations and doing the exact opposite. The way...

The first shiny i ever got, i was in the grass looking for a pokemon in emerald (my very first file, too, when i was like 9-10) and i gave the game to my little brother and told him to keep looking for whatever I was looking for. I got back and he said he caught a wingull, and i was like "why??? i said catch a (whatever)!" and he was like "naw cuz its green!" and i looked at it and i didn't see it, it looked blue to me, and i was like "no it's not, it's blue!" so i used fly and went to the center, and i saved beforehand, but i deleted it. like, 30 seconds later i was like "wait, it might have been green" so i reset, and i still didn't see green and i was like "fkn casual, makin me believe it was green" and i deleted it again. then later on, my game got messed up and i had to reset from that same place at the PC, so i was mad, but i was like "gotta delete this damn wingull" and i went to 86 it, and i realized it actually was green and i was like "oh snap that boy was right, that really is a green wingull, my bad" and thats the story of my first shiny. the first shiny i found in reborn was a pansage, before the recolors. but, either way, i would have killed it. simsage is garbage
