    Jory winced as Shredder was thrown to the ground near the Venusaur, his attack intercepted by the powerful beating of the Tropius's wings. Shredder got up, his eyes still glowing a fierce red. "Shredder, use Facade on that Venusaur before it fully recovers!" The Zangoose nodded and roared once more, charging straight for the Venusaur and readying its powerful attack.

    Just a quick note @Legendaries tamer: 1) I believe Staraptor is already taken, unless you were planning to make yours female. 2) Be careful about more sue-ish qualities such as being a champion, being skilled in close combat, and being able to speak telepathically with Pokemon. Those are all super-positive traits that, if I recall the "mary sue" thread correctly (See "Mary Sues: What They Are and How to Avoid Them"), will result in your character needing serious and meaningful flaws to help balance them.

    Roland looked at the path in front of him, hiding his face with his hood. "I do not normally like to talk about my past for the safety of those around me. Suffice to say that if you knew, you might understand my reasons for not wanting to involve others in my personal affairs." Roland then turned around and smiled at Megaira. "On a cheerier note, I have not seen any human tracks for nearly a league. That means we should be relatively safe, as long as the wyrms in this area are not hungry for humans. We should be safe provided we stay together." He bent down and indicated the 6-inch wide strip of disturbed soil that was obvious to the well-trained hunter's eye. "This indicates where the wyrm that roams just around us has been close to the surface recently. Take care to stay away from there. It could collapse. After all, it's hollow now."

    Just FYI, it's generally poor form to bring math into the RP with you because of the anime theory inherent in RPing. That is to say, we know how much it will do, but our characters don't.

    I'm not mad, per se, but I think that some of the newer people might want a chance to get a pseudo before you grab all of them up. I personally don't have one and will not. Snorlax is going to be the closest I get to a pseudo at 540 BST. EDIT: grass pls repond

    Roland continued at his brisk pace, impressed by Megaira's ability to keep up with him. The pair had been walking off to the side of the path, making sure to keep to the trees to lessen their chances of being ambushed. Although Roland had seen human and elven tracks, he had not yet seen anything to indicate that the group was in any danger. "You know, Megaira, most of the magical types I meet find it very difficult to keep a pace like this while carrying a full travelsack. I'm impressed," he said sincerely, still making good progress. "Although I am not happy that we left before the bacon was done. That was shortsighted on my part." He glanced over his shoulder. "So, Megaira, what made someone of your... position... decide to come on this journey?"

    Perseus ran across a field, feeling the pecha-scented wind caress his fur as he sprinted toward what appeared to be an impossibly large basket of fresh Berries. He approached it, getting closer and closer to the feast of a lifetime. Suddenly, a dark wind came rolling over the hills, its eerie indigo clouds blanketing the once-proud mountain of food. Perseus turned and tried to run, only to find that his legs had turned into big pink PokeBlocks! The tsunami of clouds caught up with him, lifting him off of his feet and away from the food. The Slakoth sat up, a cold sweat dripping down his forehead and a chill running down his spine as the evil wind passed through the cracks in the rock. Perseus poked his head out of the crevasse and inhaled deeply through his nose. He smelled something that he had never smelled before. It was not a smell radiating warmth and welcome, but the bitter, dry odor of a disaster that has yet to unfold. After looking around, Perseus had surmised that the girl, Jessica, had either abandoned him or gone to find food. Perseus was fine with that; for some reason, though, he was finding himself just a little bit worried about the girl. So, he decided his best course of action was to wait for her to return and then get somewhere safe. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife, and Perseus didn't want to be anywhere near where it broke.

    Shredder's eye gleamed, signaling the end of the Detect that had saved him from the onslaught of Gardenia's Pokemon. Jory snapped his fingers and pointed toward Gardenia's Tropius. "Hey, buddy, we've still got a heck of a lot of work to do around here before you get to celebrate. Use Quick Attack to run along the wall, then fire yourself at Tropius and use Facade!" Shredder nodded, then took off like a shot from an arrow. He ran up the wall at a shallow angle, preparing to launch himself at Tropius and glowing a furious orange.

    Roland smiled at Megaira and nodded, gesturing for her to come with him. "Follow me, then, Megaira. And do take care not to lag behind too much. We have to get out ahead of the group, so we shall be moving a bit more quickly than you may be used to," he said with a sly grin. He strapped his bow, still in its leather wrapping, to his back next to his traveling sack and took care to fasten his daggers so they would be accessible in combat. "Let us begin," he said, turning toward the path in the forest and striding purposefully toward it.

    Alright, alright. Y'all have convinced me that there are simply a buttload of people on here that need to know how much I appreciate all y'all. I don't want to put anyone first because there are a bunch of people I want to thank, so thank you to whoever invented disclaimers! Also, I'm not listing you twice. The first people I would like to thank for everything they've done for me, both personally and a battler. The old Shoda Region crew: Tony, Libra, Zeke, DigitalBlizz and Enfu (if you're still out there somewhere). The next group of people I would like to thank before mentioning anyone specific is the Reborn auth, especially you guys who put up with my shenanigans on the server and in other places all the time. I love all of you. Another thank you goes out to the people in AO who were always so welcoming to me and have made competitive battling an incredible experience: Kamina, Vex, Slant, Rupe, Sapph, and even Moony. You guys are the shit. I also want to thank the goon squad: those among the Reborn peeps who have been great friends to me since the day I arrived: I love you- RJ, Jelly, PCKOY, Godot, Ryan C, Nao, Aeon, #Reqt, Silver, Hark, Edge, Mashew, Fred, and Acqui, ily all <3 (even you, Slagathor) The next one goes out to those guys and gals in SU who are just the bee's knees: Miku, Cowtao, Xiph, Tempest, Huggy, and even Allan. The RP subforum is an entity unto itself these days, and there are a few people who I want to thank for making it that way: Sarcus, Absol-lutely, Hukuna, Flux, DarkLight, Grasssnake, and Notus <3 Additonally, I want to thank nyu for all his techie stuff that lets me waste my time on here every day and communicate with all of you. And finally, I want to say thank you to Amethyst. You've provided me with an opportunity to make amazing friends and meet equally amazing people. I wanted to include you in half the categories, but I figured you deserve your own line. You're a phenomenal person both inside and out and a great friend.
