  1. @Stratos, you still have yet to reveal to Clint, Kenny, and Jory what the thing firing Stone Edges at them is. We can't move into sight of it until we know what it is.
  2. Dru nodded sagely, taking in all this new information quite smoothly. At first, he'd been shocked to hear that there were more than the Nine and the Wanderers, but the more the cerulean-scaled Victonari spoke of the true lore of Graterras, the more Drug'thok knew if had to be correct. The version they had all been told their entire lives had always seemed a bit too rosy for Dru to entirely believe that Nine all-powerful beings were able to come together without any conflict. And so, he ended up being the first of the party to recover from the evident shock on many of their faces. He once more stood up and cleared his throat, addressing the council. "We have traveled far to get here. We have seen and done things that no mortal should ever need to bear witness to. And yet we have survived through sheer tenacity, our ability to work as a team, and the intervention of those who care enough to aid us," Dru began, looking meaningfully toward his group at his mention of the Victonari from Passthrough. "We will recover these Shards, no matter the cost. Because in the end, so long as the Plate of Hatred exists, we're all living on a deadline anyway. How do we begin our journey?"
  3. Jory nodded. "Right!" With that, the Minccino hurried up the stairs, warping to the next floor and waiting for Jake.
  4. Jory gave a battlecry and used Tail Slap on the Vespiquen, hitting it four times. He adroitly bounced off of and away from the opponent, not taking any damage in the process. "Let's just keep hammering away at it!"
  5. Jory quickly ate the gummi and followed Jake down the corridor, anxious to be out of the dungeon. "How many more floors are there in this place, anyway?"
  6. Jory was warped to the next floor and grinned goofily at Jake. "I guess we have my dad to thank for that one." He then turned and noticed the gray gummy. He picked it up and inspected it. "What does this do?"
  7. Jory took the Oran gratefully and began to munch on it, pondering the other Pokemon's question. "Hmm... I really don't know what we should do. But my dad always said, 'Always go left, except at toll booths. So let's go that way!" he said, pointing toward the path to their left.
  8. Jory grimaced and nodded up at Jake. "I'll be fine. I'll need that Oran, though."
  9. Jory jumped toward the Cherrim tail-first and hit it with a Tail Slap, managing to land four hits before the Cherrim recovered enough to force him away with a basic attack. Jory winced as he was hit and rolled backward a couple of yards and recovered, panting as he moved back toward the fray.
  10. Jory nodded to Jake. "Right! Why don't you lead off with a Sucker Punch and I'll come in after with a Tail Slap to finish it off?"
  11. Jory's GAOs were able to survive the barrage of stones. The cadet called over to Oliver, "Use your speed to move up and cover us with any ranged attack you have while we go!" The lizardlike GAO nodded and darted off toward the front lines, quickly overtaking Clint and Pimparella as Jory and Neffi moved up behind him. Eventually, he reached cover and poked his head around the corner of it. He opened his mouth and began spitting what appeared to be seeds at an extraordinarily high velocity, the projectiles flying toward the source of the stone barrage.
  12. Jory warped onto the next floor, quickly taking stock of the situation. "Hmm... I think we shouldn't fight that Houndoom... He looks pretty strong, and we don't have any moves that are powerful enough to take him out before he can hit us. Let's just keep moving on," he said quietly, hoping Jake would take his advice.
  13. Jory hurried to catch up to the Absol, worriedly looking up at his companion. "You're hurt. If we run into more powerful Pokemon, who knows what could happen? I think we should stop and rest for a bit so you can recover." He looked ahead, thinking for a moment. "I can keep lookout while you rest. Don't worry, Jake."
  14. Jory leapt toward the Ralts, once again using Tail Slap on it, but this time landing 5 hits on the enemy. The Ralts fell to the ground, defeated. Jory turned to Jake. "Nice job! We really handled those well!"
  15. I'd like to remain in. I'm on a really nice winning streak. I even managed to win this past week, so I think it'd be a boon to the team to come in with a little extra momentum.
  16. I'm super excited for this to start. There hasn't been a trainer-oriented RP that has gone for more than a day yet, and this seems to have garnered a lot of genuine interest. EDIT: I changed my character's age to 15
  17. Jory pumped his paw enthusiastically. "Right! Let's do this!" He scampered forward and leapt toward the Ralts, turning in midair to hit it with a Tail Slap. He managed to strike the Ralts 3 times before it was able to move out of the way of the attack. Its eyes glowed blue and Jory was thrown to the ground with a Confusion attack, but was able to recover quickly with no problem, landing back to back with Jake. "I've got your back! Take on that Kadabra!"
  18. Sonny bounded down onto the beach, his breathing surprisingly normal ((hehe)) for a man who had just run such a long distance. He immediately called out Rayleigh, who appeared at his side in a flash of light. He briskly crossed the beach and made his way to Alina, looking out over the water. "If I never saw wanton destruction like this again, I don't think I'd mind at all," the scout said wistfully to Rayleigh. He shook his head slowly as he reached the preoccupied commander of the Village's defense. "This situation doesn't look nearly as bad as the last time I had to draw Necessity, though. Thank Arceus for that."
  19. Jory excitedly followed the Absol, happy to follow the Dark-type around. After all, he knew literally nothing of the area.
  20. Jory smiled and extended a paw to the Absol, shaking in the middle. "Nice to meet you, Jake. So I have this map that says we're in a place called 'Treeshroud Forest,' but I have no idea where we are. Any idea how to get out of here?"
  21. Sign-up format Students: Name: Jacob Robertson Age: 15 Birthday: March 14 Height: 5'6" Program: Trainer Starter: Teotlatl, called Teo (Trapinch, lvl 8) Hometown: Accumula Town Background: Born and raised in Accumula Town, Jacob grew up with a hearty appreciation for the close proximity of Castelia City. His parents were both businesspeople who, while they did have Pokemon, decided that ultimately they wanted to lead lives that didn't require them to heavily train their Pokemon. However, Jacob was always a bit different from the people who raised them; he fell far from the tree, as it were. From an early age he expressed a keen interest in Pokemon and battling them, going so far as to ask his parents for a Pokemon on his fifth birthday. They told him he would need to wait until he was old enough to enter the Ymora Academy and encouraged him to keep his grades up in regular school in order to hedge his chances of getting into the prestigious battling academy. Thus, he was delighted when he received a Trapinch egg for his eleventh birthday. Jacob is a rather intelligent young man, but is easily discouraged when he encounters serious obstacles. He can be a bit condescending due to his intelligence, but always means well and would not do anything to harm others. Conversely, when people threaten those he cares about, he can become fiercely protective. He is warm toward those who express the same to him and is very welcoming in terms of social interaction. His biggest flaw lies in the fact that when he encounters self-doubt, he loses his motivation.. CURRENT ROSTER: Teotlatl (Trapinch, M)- Level 25 Chalchi (Lapras, F)- Level 24 Spitfyre (Charmeleon, M)- Level 25 Arete (Togetic, F)- Level 23 Princess (Seviper, F)- Level 20
  22. Morlak and Dru are gonna need to have words. I would assume that half-Orc spellcasters aren't particularly common, especially at their respective levels of expertise.
  23. Not gonna lie, I also really want a Sceptile, but so many people have one that I feel like mine might just become one of a legion of Sceptiles running around :c
  24. Jory awoke to the sound of the Exeggutor crashing to the ground near him. He looked up, his head on a swivel as he searched out more danger. Satisfied that there was none, he stood up and used his tail to brush himself off, then approached the Absol that had apparently helped him and the Mudkip. "Hey, thanks for the assist! There's no way I would have been able to take that big bad tree all on my own. I'm Jory, by the way."
