  1. Guardian of the Sands Rammus was released in the store a couple of patches ago along with matching Skarner/Xerath skins. It's a 975 skin.
  2. Oh. Well Merc Scimitar was a must because of Galio/Leona; I'd get stunned or taunted as soon as I make a move for Vayne or Yi so that item would let me keep doing Zed things in teamfights. Not quite understanding your point about Black Cleaver's synergy with Contempt for the Weak though, since that does magic damage.
  3. Here's what I was thinking.... Youmuu's over Black Cleaver for multiple reasons. First off, I was splitpushing a lot so the stats help with that. Secondly the flat pen is better than the alternative when your assassination targets are squishies (like Vayne/Yi). 20% CDR, while it sounds nice, isn't the greatest on Zed because since he is an Energy champion, he already has low cooldowns whose usage are limited further by Energy, thus it ultimately ends up affecting only the ultimate. The reason I picked Randuin's over GA was because - well the main reason is the Attack Speed slow. Thus it would be a better answer to this DPS-heavy team than Guardian Angel as they would just right click me as soon as I got up and kill me for realsies. I also had more than enough MR for this team between QSS and Randuin's. I woulda gone GA if their team was more burst though.
  4. Oh man, this game. Even though our Ashe was awful (not to mention toxic and incoherent), we were winning for most of the game, but towards the end had a couple bad teamfights. While we were screwing around with vision, they decided to rush our base when we had the exposed inhibitor...and while everyone else b'd I took a gamble and managed to sneak dragon #5 just in time to join the rest of our team in the most epic end game teamfight. And somehow, we were able to hang on just barely, with only Zyra, the nexus and I remaining on our side, and win it. Now to work on not dying with this champ...
  5. Oh yeah, there's a patch coming out tomorrow. Quick rundown though. Skins The following skins hit the store this week for 750 RP unless otherwise stated: * denotes Legacy skins SSW Singed* SSW Rengar* SSW Talon* SSW Twitch* - 975 RP SSW Thresh* - 975 RP Ace of Spades Ezreal King of Clubs Mordekaiser Queen of Diamonds Syndra Wild Card Shaco Star Guardian Lux - 1350 RP Champions - Rework Ashe has received a rework, with a completely new ability and a new passive along with other kit changes. More information will be posted here soon but places like Surrender@20 will have all the details in the mean time. Champions - General Akali's Crescent Slash's AP ratio has been increased slightly, and has a shaved cooldown (1 sec cooldown at max rank lol). Shadow Dance also now sends her through her target, similar to Fizz's Urchin Strike (this also means that she does not follow her target should they Flash while she travels). Annie finally took a long-awaited nerf to her Basic Attack Range, down to 575 (from 625). Hecarim's Rampage has a greatly increased mana cost, but no longer deals reduced damage to Monsters. Kalista's Martial Poise dash no longer has an increased distance while dashing away from her basic attack target. Morgana's Tormented Soil deals less base damage at early ranks. (% missing health scaling unaffected) Nocturne's Unspeakable Horror's base damage has been increased at all ranks (especially early). Olaf now gains a 1-second spurt of Movement Speed toward enemy Champions upon activating Ragnarok. Renekton gets a 50-range buff to his Ruthless Predator-empowered basic attacks. The self stun has also been reduced a bit. Riven's Wind Slash doesn't travel as quickly anymore. Well, neither does Riven herself; base movement speed down. Tristana received a couple of buffs to Explosive Charge; not only is the per-charge damage amp increased, the cast time is also reduced by Attack Speed. Trundle's Pillar of Ice slow has been slightly increased. Knockback distance has also been increased. Veigar's Event Horizon's delay has been reduced even further, down to 0.5 seconds. Zed must now wait one second after casting Death Mark before he can return to Death Mark's shadow. Champions - Insignificant Stuff The following champions received minor changes that you may or may not care about: (to be updated) Akali Azir Nasus Renekton Ryze Twisted Fate - Jack of Hearts skin has new splash art (shares with Ace of Spades Ezreal) Xin Zhao Items Enchantment: Cinderhulk's aura damage has been reduced and no longer ramps up in combat. It deals increased damage to Monsters instead. Skirmisher's Sabre mark time has been reduced to 4 seconds. Combat text adjustments Combat Text now scales up in size based on relative impact of the skill. Champion abilities that deal damage over time or multiple hits now combine their damage into one larger 'spinup' counter style number. Minor cleanup, especially around proc type effects or multiple types of damage happening in the same frame. Summoner's Rift Dragon's base damage has been significantly increased. There is now a yellow duck. Quack quack. That's it! Skins, skins, skins. There's a lot of balance changes as well; most notably, the Cinderhulk line. One can only hope this is the end of the tank meta; well, who knows.
  6. The first pick of each team (also known as Captain) take turns banning up to three champions each (six total). Banned champions can not be picked by either team regardless of which side banned it.

      Smells like a Pentassist.

  8. A very good idea. In fact Riven is to be nerfed with the next patch because of her synergy with The Black Cleaver. Armor shreds, 20% CDR, HP to synergize with GA in a full build, and a movement speed passive to superglue to an enemy.

    Hi

Welcome! Where I live people are looking all over for engineers of all kinds, so good on ya. There's lots of money to be had in a field like that. Personally, I've always been interested in engineering and technology and that stuff, but if I wasn't in media, I'd probably take it up instead.
  10. Nintendo is announcing their plans for E3 at 12 noon ET tomorrow. Strangely, their tweet was accompanied by a picture of a guy working out in a pink tracksuit...

  11. Pro Smash player Bizzarro Flame has announced he is going to release a sequel to his video "Ganon on Ice". Hard to believe that vid is already five years old...

  12. I know not everyone here was watching MSI, but when I would normally be an advocate of just saying you missed something (amd promptly making you suffer) I'mma just post it. Thank me later.
  13. That feel when you fire the Graves ult at the enemy ADC but it hits and kills a stealthed Teemo instead.

  15. Faker just got First Blooded on his birthday by Dumbledoge, the support for Besiktas. Besiktas has won. They can go home. They've done all they need to do here.
  16. Fnatic shut down Dyrus pretty much at picks/bans (TSM's own bans didn't help either, but did they have a choice?), then were able to exploit the weaknesses of a Cho'Gath pick (melee, no mobility, skillshot-reliant, etc) to shut down Bjergsen. The Urgot/Nautilus is able to exploit Sivir's issues as well, particularly the low range, and that not only gave Urgot a practically free reign over bot, but allowed Yellowstar to roam which was very key to many parts of Fnatic's victory. Fnatic had been reading TSM like a book, and TSM clued in far too late. Also on a side note, SKT's Faker has been practicing Noc Willis a lot in solo queue recently. He might pull it out vs Besiktas if he gets play...
  17. I don't think this was how anyone anticipated the Fnatic/TSM contest would go...

  18. Oh god...if it's Hanenbow from Brawl, I might consider committing sudoku. Also I heard about the other leaks of Roy and Ryu n stuff but I dunno how reliable they are. If Roy is back I would anticipate he joins Smash as Eliwood (to avoid name conflicts with Roy Koopa).
  19. My good friend got PBE access yesterday and we decided to celebrate with a game that was...well entertaining is a bit of an understatement...
  20. #rekt also now that I was thinking about it, and most of you would know better than me...are there going to be stages avavailable via DLC? Seen some cool-ass fan concepts but more so missing some old Smash stages Like F.O.D and Frigate Orpheon.

  22. QSS is QSS, if there's a need for it then it can and should be considered for Kog'Maw. He might not use the AD portion of Mercurial Scimitar to its fullest extent, but he's still an AD carry, and that's damage. The movement speed buff from it, brief as it may be, can save his ass as well. GA really doesn't do him as many favors in a lot of situations as he has no way to effectively defend himself from close range threats. The defensive item I'd imagine people get most on him is Banshee's Veil (if not Scimitar) EDIT: Looked it up on Probuilds. Everybody builds QSS and/or Scimitar as defensive item.
