Luxio brace itself for impact as it stands defensively and was sent flying a few inch from the ground. Vicious was manage to get up wobbly on its fours after from that attack. It seems the feral black cat was suffering from a burning effect as it stands firmly with a crimson like aura surrounding its body as it lets out a mighty roar. (Guts) "we hit back harder! Vicious... electrocute it with your fangs(thunder fang)! Smoke cover Vicious tracks... use smokescreen!" the field was set in a black smog as it affects both of Jory's GAO. Out of the smog. the lion like GAO pounce from the air with its large fangs sparkling from electricity as it tries to sinks into the flaming horse's body. Jory Posted June 1, 2014 Share Posted June 1, 2014 Jory gasped as he realized that he'd completely forgotten this was a double battle. "Alright, Neffi, get in there quick! Fire some of those poisonous stingers at that Shinx before it can hit Sampson!" The small, rodent-like GAO yipped and jumped into the ring, firing a string of purple spines in the feline's path, attempting to prevent it from reaching Sampson. Jory pointed at the small seahorse. The purple rodent GAO caught Sid's attention. "Sic em boy!" he pointed out and commanded Luxio as its fangs changes its color once more into a dark glowing manner as it charges right at Neffi. Jory Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Jory watched in horror as the water-based attack struck true, causing Sampson to rear on his hind legs and cry out in pain. The horse's breathing was becoming labored. There's no way he can take another hit like that, Jory thought to himself. "Sampson, get out of there! Gallop in circles around that Horsea, then use Tackle when it lets its guard down." He then addressed Nefertiti. "Get out of there, Neffi!" he shouted. "Dig under the ground like we've been practicing!" Vicious was ever persistent as he goes after the rodent sniffing the hole with its head like an ostrich. "Stay on your ground! dammit! you don't need to chase it!" Sid seems to be frustrated, but it was too late as the feral cat's head was stuck in the hole. "Smoke end that fiery horse annoying galloping... The Nidoran burrowed her way back upward toward the surface, emerging just under the Shinx and leaping out of the ground toward him with a lot of momentum. "Sampson, use your Embers to turn that twister against Horsea!" The Ponyta complied, shooting a barrage of the hot sparks into the cyclone. The oxygen from the rotating air began to fan the embers and soon there was a full-fledged fire going on inside the Horsea's tornado. Sampson whinnied again, the flame cyclone seeming to make his mane grow longer and hotter. However, the wind continued to batter at the horse, eventually picking him up and tossing him to the side. Sampson got up, but was clearly not going to last much longer. "Use a Tackle attack! At least weaken that Horsea before you go down!" "Crap, that thing packs a wallop." as Luxio barely stands up while wincing from the burn. Can't let that little critter digs its way out again hmm it seems that fiery horse is irrelevant now.. Horsea seems to be trap in a fiery vortex as it was suffering from minor damage. "Smoke, fire away those Barrage of bubbles!" as it aims towards the fire as it extinguish the flame and splashing some of the bubbles to Sampson and follows a thick hot steam that covers the area. "you're up Vicious, jolt em with your fangs" Luxio stands up showing signs of exhaustion and charges the biggest treat on the field as it uses the mist to engage in a surprise attack. First the bubbles made contact, then Vicious's fangs dug into Sampson's side. "Neffi, don't let this opportunity go to waste! Finish off that Shinx with your strongest Tackle attack!" The wet horse was electrocuted and fell to the ground, still breathing but clearly unconscious. Moments later, Neffi arrived near Sampson, flinging herself bodily at the Shinx that was still biting the equine GAO. "Sampson, return!" he said sadly, bringing his ball up and clicking the button to return Sampson. Ragnar Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) As soon as both of Sid's GAO gank up on the fiery horse, Sid has a momentary smirk on his face as Jory returns the injured horse to its capsule, but it was easily replace by dismay as he forgot about the flying rodent hurling towards the feral black cat. Luxio was sent flying from such impact as it leaves a trail on the ground. Vicious was limping and wincing in pain from such force. "you're good..you're really pushing my GAO's limit...Vicious,return!"as Sid returns Vicious in its ball. "guess its our little guys' turn to duke it out" not waiting for Jory's response. Sid commanded his remaining GAO "Smoke, make her face the wind!(twister)" as a tornado conjure around it and release it in a straight path towards the small purple critter. However, his excitement was quickly replaced by concern as he watched Nefertiti get picked up and thrown by the powerful Twister attack. His concern turned into worry as he saw that Neffi was pretty banged up from being thrown across the battlefield. "Neffi, I know you're tired, but we can't give up! You can do this, I believe in you!" Nefertiti turned and looked at her trainer. Over the past months, he had cared for her and fought alongside her. He had made sure she got extra treats at dinner, even if it meant he didn't have any. He had helped her grow bigger and stronger. Neffi stood on shaky legs. Suddenly, she began to glow a bright white. Jory gaped. That bright white light signaled the metamorphosis that many of his comrades' GAOs had gone through over the six-month training period. Jory smiled widely. They still had a chance to win! The light grew brighter and Neffi's silhouette began to change. It nearly doubled in size by the time it stopped growing. Its upper body grew longer and its front legs developed elbows, growing longer as Nefertiti began to stand lightly on her hind legs. Finally, the light dimmed. Its skin had turned more leathery-looking and appeared much tougher than before. It had changed color as well, from a light lavender to a robin's egg blue. Its ears had become more pronounced, and sharp, doglike teeth had replaced her previously rodentlike ones. Jory gaped. He had no idea what this new GAO was called, but he was hoping it still answered to Neffi. She turned to Jory and let out a cry that was much louder than her previous yipping. She appeared revitalized, although her injuries from being thrown were still apparent. She looked at her trainer expectantly. Jory grinned. "Neffi, use Tackle on that Horsea!" Ojama Yellow Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Lionel could hardly believe what he just saw. A GAO changing its appearance like that? He had never seen that happen before. He felt in his pocket, where he hid the black stone he found while training with Shadow... Two months ago? Three months? He couldn't quite remember. All he knew was that Shadow was drawn to the stone, and Lionel feared it would be dangerous to give him the stone. It may sound ridiculous, but he had the feeling that things wouldn't go well if he did that. So he pretended to bury the stone somewhere Shadow could probably never find it, but in reality, he still had the stone always with him. None of the other cadets knew about this... He didn't even tell General McCarthy. He feared that he may have found something that wasn't ment to be found by him, something with unknown potential. He looked back at the battle. "Whoa! Whoa! timeout! where's the referee in this match? is this even possible?"as Sid's irrational behavior shows up as he hysterically complains. he turns his back from the field looking at the commanding officers signaling a timeout sign. He had known better to turn his back on his opponent as the larger size rodent unleashes a vicious one-two kick at his GAO. "Oh shii..." just as he turns around and realize the match is still going on, but it was too late as Smoke was send flying towards him. Sid manages to catch the small seahorse in his arms like a baseball thrown at him, Smoke was bruised and it seems to be knock out cold as it barely opens its eyes . "Agghh.. sorry..buddy, i got distracted. I let you down" he said with remorse to his GAO while carrying the injured seahorse. "Clearly you won this match" he said to Jory with a smirk. He wrapped his newly evolved GAO in a big hug and lifted her off the ground, scratching her behind the ear. "Neffi, that was so cool! That double kick thingy! Did you learn that from watching Dominance?" Nefertiti nodded, smiling and wagging her tail at Jory. She yipped and then yawned, closing her eyes. "Not now, Robertson," He said "you'll all be given the opportunity to heal them before the next part of the evaluation begins." The General reached up and pressed on his pin once again, and the list of names blazed in the air once again, this time with another two... "Robertson, Maelstrom, you've both displayed competency in this match, you both pass this part of the evaluation, now clear the field." He looked to the names on the list now, and called them out "Clint Cannon, and Erick Freeman! Step forward, and begin!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Erick had watched the previous battles with little interest... he'd already seen what most of his fellow cadets partners could do during their six months of training together... But both he and Virtue perked up when his name was called next. he looked to the Ralts "You ready?" he asked, She merely noded. he looked over to Beldum next, whom he hadn't thought of a good name for yet. "How about you?" he asked. the metallic creature rose up and down in the air quickly, which Erick had figured out over the months meant "yes" for it. the thing had been a bit awkward when he first was assigned it, the only thing it seemed to be able to do was slam itself head first into things, though with some special work, they'd been able to come up with a few other things to do in battle... Erick walked out in front of the platform, standing at attention as he thought to himself Clint's Onix is gonna be an issue... that's what I would've said... had we not of found that little move... He knew about the Ralts, it wasn't that tough, but he also knew Tyrogue wasn't a fan of it. He wasn't too sure about that metallic thing though, but it didn't matter, as long as he had his partners there was no way he could lose. As he arrived in the arena he pulled his creatures to the side before the match started and whispered too them, "All right, here's the plan Rocky go after the little metal thing, Pimparella go underground and aim at the Ralts," the two nodded in agreement, "And Rocky, remember dip and move, don't take hits for no reason, your not a tank here like miss pimparella." The Tyrogue gave him another nod then the two turned to face there opponents. Clint followed suit turning to Erick, "Alright Freeman, let's get this over with, the sooner this is over, the quicker you can get your GAOs out of the infermary." Virtue nodded, understanding that she wouldn't last very long if she tried to take on that Onix head on... He turned to Beldum "And you.." he said "I want you to watch her back in this... in fact, both of you watch out for the other... Clint talks big, but most of the time it's because he's got what t takes to back it up..." the Beldum rose and down just as it had before. Genisa nodded as well, then they both looked over to the opposition, an eager fire in their eyes... Erick looked over to Clint... "Call me an Ass, clint..." he began "But I prefer to use first strike capabilities... unlike the country I serve..." He reached inside his pocket, feeling the smooth, round berries there... he yelled out "Virtue, use that telekinesis we've been working on (Confusion) and toss Beldum into Onix!, Beldum, at the same time, use that... thing you've been doing since we met!" Virtue's eyes glowed scarlet as she followed orders, picking up beldum, who then manipulated the Elctro-mag waves around its body to shot itself across the field, boosted by Virute's telekinetic toss. The attack didn't do all too much, but a small crack could be seen on Pimparella's rocky hide where the impact was made. "Well shit, you weren't kidding about going first," Clint chuckled while taking another quick drag, "Alright, boys time to get this party started, you know what to do!" With that the Onix slithered underground and Rocky took aim at the small metal creature, jumping high in the air, with a foot extended in order to release a good kick. Erick looked over to it "You all right?" he asked The Beldum moved up and down slowly, which Erick took to mean "Maybe" Thats when he noticed that Clint's rock snake, pimparella, had dissapeared... though he figured out where it had gone when he saw the gaping hole in the earth... and he had a sneaking suspicion what Clint was intending to do... he knew that Virtue wasn't good defensively too... Damn it... He thought to himself What do I do? that's when an old voice pushed an idea into his head... he would have told it to go away, that it wasn't real, just like he had been doing these past few months... but... this Idea actually seemed pretty good. Erick chuckled a little then called out "Alright, Virtue and Beldum, I want you both to switch places... Virtue, use Telekinesis to move yourself, don't walk!" He didn't really know how the whole "Dig a hole" thing worked with GAOs... but he figured that they'd probably be able to sense vibrations from people walking around... or something... otherwise, how would they know where to strike if the target moved? "well..." he said under his breath as Beldum and Genisa carried out the place swapped as he had ordered "Only one way to find out if my theory is correct..." ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- Ray watched from the Stage as Erick ordered his partners to swapped places, then as Erick picked up a stone... and tossed it away towards the ground, seemingly beginning to skip from where Virtue had been standing a moment ago... and then skip off towards the platform...like it would on the surface of a pond... Surge looked over to ray, having watched the same thing "What the hell is he doing?" he asked Ray smirked "To be honest, I don't really know... but I think he's up to something." ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- Erick, having done what he needed to put the test of his theory into motion, then gave another order to Beldum. "Beldum... use that shock attack we developed a while ago!" Beldum made a strange RRRRRRRing sound as it stood it's body straight and down in the air, then started rotating, faster and faster... within a few seconds, sparks and static of yellow could be seen... "You know when I got here, a lot of you guys thought I was pretty dumb," Clint called out to Erick, "And hey maybe I was, maybe I still I am, but if you think a little switcheroni can beat out pimparella, well you got another thing coming." Clint took one last drag of his cigarette then tossed on the ground ... right next to the Ralts. "Now Rock, go take cover!" Clint snapped as loudly as he could as the Tyrogue quickly ran as far from the Ralts as it could, he knew this wouldn't be pretty. The ground started shaking, and before the whole stadiums eyes the giant snake emerged from the ground, directly under the Ralts. The Ralts let out a strange cry as it looked at Erick as it soared upwards, fear in it's eyes. Erick felt a bit of anger rise in him at seeing Genisa like this, along with something stirring just under the surface of his psyche. without even thinking about it, his legs started moving towards where he thought the GAO was going to fall, at the same time yelling out an order to Beldum "USE THAT CLAW ATTACK! NOW!" he ran faster as he saw Genisa beginning to exit the apex of her fall, and Beldum's claws at the bottom of it's body began to blaze silvery white. Erick managed to catch Genisa, but just barely. the Ralts shoke in his arm, then stopped when she realized she was no longer threatened by hitting the ground. she looked up into Erick's eyes, feeling his anger at what had occured and at the same time getting angry herself for what had been done by pimparella. She concentrated and sent a single, fully composed thought message to Erick as her body began to blaze white. "MAKE THEM PAY. MAKE THEM ALL PAY." her body began to change from as the horn on her head split into two and moved apart, then the light turned blinding as Erick watched the transformation continue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- General McCarthy had seen enough. he knew he should stop this now any way... that look on Freeman's face... it was the same as it was that day in the Atrium... "HALT, EVERYONE,HALT!" ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Bedum stopped in it's tracks Genisa had now completed her transformation, her body completely changed. she heard as McCarthy called for everyone to halt, and leapt out of Erick's arms and to the ground, sending out a stronger than before telekinetic attack, which tore up a few planks from the stage, causing them to levitate in the air menacingly around McCarthy... Erick looked at Virtue, her eye's lit up with anger he hadn't seen in her before... If I don't do something... then this'll end badly... I have no choice he pulled out her capsule and hit the button. Genisa looked surprised as the red beam hit her and she dissipated into the device. The planks fell to the ground immediately after. ------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------- McCarthy took his hand away from where he stowed the capsule for his Dragon GAO Well, looks like that wont be necessary...Freeman's not as crazy as before... he realized that serious shit was about to go down, and he stopped it... that passed him... but just by the skin of his ass... the General Looked at Clint. "You showed competentcy and control of your partners, Cannon. You pass this portion of the Evaluation..." Then he turned to Erick "As for you... you were going to pass when I saw you rushing over to catch your GAO as... She fell. But then your GAO attacked me... and that just lost your chance right there... but you managed to make the right judgement and called her back to her capsule...." There was a long pause... "You..." said the General "Freeman..." He pressed his pin and the list blazed in the air again "You passed... but just barely...see to it that no other issues like this arise later, or I will render your score on every part of this evaluation null and void, and you will be discharged from the program. Understand." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Erick looked at the general, wanting to say some nasty things, but restraining himself, knowing he was on Thin Ice. "Yes, Sir." He said simply returning to his spot. "Talk to me." he said under his breath as he walked back "I know this capsule doesn't stop you from being able to use telepathy" He got but one answer from this, and it was surprisingly more put together than her thought messages from before were "Traitor....you broke your promise." He sent his own message using the telepathic link Genisa had just established between them "Yeah, I did, and I'm sorry...but I had no choice... things would've gone quite bad if I didn't bring you back to it." There was no response. Erick sighed "Yeah..." he muttered "This is going to be real helpful... we're screwed if we can't work together to pass this thing..." --------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- General McCarthy called out the next names on the list "Lionel Carter and Enyo Greyjoy, begin!" Supernovae Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) After the battle Clint quickly called his partners back to there containers, he didn't expect things escalate after his attack, Pimparella's attack was designed to do damage, but it certainly wasn't a kill shot. He caught up to Erick as quickly as he could after the battle and McCarthy's speech. "Hey look man, my bad about the way that fight went," he paused not sure what he had done wrong, Clint was used to apologizing, but he almost always knew what it was for. "I didn't mean for things to go like that, but that beldum you got that thing sure is tough." he paused again knowing he had to bring up the ralts. "And yeah, your ralts going through that change, that things gonna be a real competitor when things get going." "Nah, man no hard feelings," Clint turned to walk away, but quickly looked back. "But, next time we go at it, you better bring your all. Cause, next time I don't plan on going easy." Clint let out a playful grin, then turned back and started walking away from the battlefield in order to find a nice place to watch the next battle. Her opponent was Lionel, and she knew his GAOs were a crow and a pink hippo-like creature, none of which posed much of a treat to Absinthe. Bourbon wasn’t a good match against the hippo thought, as she had discovered he had more sort of weakness to the telekinesis shebang. Fortunately the bat was way faster than the Slowpoke, so at least she had that in her favor. And if the bird had any affinity similarity with Bourbon then the alligator would have an easy way to deal with him. The Greyjoy walked forward to take her place in one of the edges of the battlefield and waited for her opponent, Bourbon still on her shoulder and Absinthe in their tail, eager for a battle. "Shadow, Buddy, watch out for that alligator. That one is our biggest threat. Shadow, you outmatch that bat both offensively and defensively, but I don't know about its speed...watch out." The Murkrow nodded and flew off from Lionels shoulder. Buddy seemed to be eager to battle the fellow Water GAO. "Alright... Buddy, start off with your mind attack and throw Bourbon to the ground! Shadow, don't attack yet!" The Murkrow didn't look too happy with the command, but at least he obeyed. Buddy's eyes turned blue as he used his mind attack...
